  • There was supposed to be, but they were wordlessly removed from the roadmap, which I find disappointing because I would like to see these perks get changes.

  • Shaun and Ed are good picks, but personally I'd add Tucker and Dale.

  • I always thought it was annoying when one skin was more expensive just because it was slightly more fancy than another skin it was similar to. This is a good change.

I do agree it'd be nice if older cosmetics had price drops though, something like -25% off at least.

Xenomorph and Chucky are better (Chucky barely). But agree that the Unknown is good.

Depends on how you measure better. As much as I wanted to like them, Xenomorph and Chucky got boring quickly and just aren't that fun to play.

I'll start. So you know how Unknown has an Addon about a haunted videogame cartridge?

    https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wm/2024/03/dead-by-daylight-the-unknown-obscure-game-cartridge-addon.jpg

And given his nature as a killer inspired by Creepypasta and Analogue Horror, this likely a reference to the large influx of haunted video game stories from the 2000's and 2010's, the biggest of which being those godawful .exe games with Hyperealistic blood and whatnot?

    https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/650/537/fe8.png

Well, as someone who was born in the mid 2000's and has been playing this game since launch (yes I started playing when I was like 10), an Unknown Cosmetic that emulates an almost retro gameified look of him with stupid red eyes and tear blood streaks would be almost completely full circle for me.

I'd make a mockup, but my art skills are equivalent to that of most of the .exe deviantart out there, so I'll leave it to your imagination.

The add-on isn't really about haunted video game cartridges, it's more of a reference to Polybius, an urban legend arcade game that was a government experiment in psychological manipulation that drove its players insane, before mysteriously vanishing from all arcades. It was never real but it's still a story that circulates today.

    There’s no crows in Chile.

Yet there’s a Chilean killer who’s whole shtick is crows. Even the map she came with, also supposedly in Chile, has a giant murder of crows.

It’s also entirely possible that part of the Saloon was pulled from Zarina’s memory, who followed Caleb’s life for a story. Zarina might very well have seen tumbleweeds rolling around there.

Hasn't it been confirmed that all the crows The Artist saw were not actual crows but instead representations of The Entity's influence, which had been haunting her all her life?

  • Otz mentioned in a prior video that he did not advertise he was attempting a winstreak at all, he just played Unknown on stream and tried his best to win matches, but never mentioned he was keeping count of a winstreak because he feared stream snipers would deliberately attempt to sabotage him. He managed his 50 wins this way.

The Unknown is a pretty good killer. Maybe the best since Wesker.

    • People. I really wish there was a mode where I could play with bots entirely.

There is but you can only play as killer beating up survivor bots.

  • I would prefer if we simply increased BP rewards for survivors across the board instead of sticking bonuses onto perks.

WGLF has been completely supplanted by Buckle Up thanks to powercreep anyway.

Running in circles around the same rock.

I doesn't really work, its not particularly interesting gameplay.

Its often the only thing in a player's arsenal, the player who does it once usually keeps doing it. They wound easily and they die fast but they keep on doing it.

This. Being looped around a car is the most boring thing in the game. Especially since survivors slide off of the environment like butter but as killer everything is instead made out of glue. If I can't path perfectly around it, I can be stuck there for way too long. It's so dull. Especially on maps with wonky collision like Nostromo, or any map with those awful bushes like Garden of Joy. It's even worse on certain tiles, like the Swamp's awful logs with vault points.

On another note, I dislike the UI's presentation of injured survivors. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the dark and gritty aesthetic. It's a cheery bright red with a white strike across it. I'd prefer if it was instead dark red with a black strike, maybe with droplets of blood slowly spattering around it.

I also really hate BHVR's new favorite idea: slapping the Resident Evil yellow tape on every vault in the game. It looks ugly and unfitting on most maps, and most of the vaults it marks are already obvious and don't need the extra signposting.

  • I would like Ashley and Luis as skins. Make Ashley a skin for Ada so that not everything is stacked onto Jill. Also, give Ada her RE4make outfit as well.

  • I'll give hatch if it's right there when I catch the last survivor and I've already gotten the 3K. Otherwise, normally it's straight to the hook, because I don't see a point in dragging things out longer.

I will make exceptions, like if the survivors were clearly inexperienced and shouldn't have been matched against my (barely intermediate) skills, or if I played a little too mean myself, like slugging one survivor to buy time to hunt down another who annoyed me throughout the match. I only rarely slug for a 4K, usually out of necessity for challenges/pips.

I'll also do it just to be funny, like one time I was carrying a survivor to the basement on Grim Pantry, where hatch can spawn right outside the basement stairs. I walked past it all the way to the basement hook, then moonwalked back to the hatch and dropped them on it.

I'll hook for a 4K but it's normally just to end the trial quicker and for the sake of points. And as survivor, if I find hatch I will dive in immediately, not sit there and teabag or spam loud noises like some survivors do because of their "watch me leave" fixation.

  • Long-range aura perks like BBQ, Darkness Revealed, and Gearhead can be useful on him if his teleport hallucinations are set up well. Nowhere to Hide is also useful because he can kick a gen, immediately teleport, and maintain aura read around himself in his new location.

Devour Hope has also been fun since I can instantly teleport away from the hooked survivor, minimal risk of an immediate rescue depriving me of a token.

  • If you are being chased, try to run towards areas with completed generators so you don't accidentally lead the killer to teammates working on generators.

If a teammate is hooked, the survivor with the least hook states should go for the save, preferably while healthy.

I loved the idea of wicked, but then I found out, that the self-unhook only works in stage one. This makes the perk unneccessarily more situational than it already is.

    Very disappointed.

I run Wicked for the 20-second aura read. Unhooking in basement is a side-feature as far as I care.

  • Dodge the blobs and remove the fakes. Neither is especially difficult.

  • If I'm in a match with cheats, whether they involve me or not, then I want to exit the match as soon as possible without DCing. Just do gens and leave, or die. Whatever gets me out of it and into a legitimate match faster.

Dredge is actually one of my main killers I play a lot. However he only needs a few QoL changes.

-More lockers/better placement. Some painful are so bad because of limited lockers and bad placement of lockers.

-Boat Key and Haddies Calendar need to be base kit. The teleport mid chase is just way, way too slow base kit to where these addons are basically required for this play style and even then it’s too slow if the survivors are good. This is the biggest change they need. As long as these aren’t base kit the other addons don’t matter to me.

-He’s too loud. Survivors can pin his exact location even behind walls. Tone it down. At least during Nightfall.

-Too much info given to survivors on locker teleporting. It’s already so ridiculously slow to exit lockers that the hang of entering them is unnecessary.

-Fix the bug that’s existed since their release of forcing you to always go to the locked locker. Super annoying.

The main reason many people don’t play Dredge is because of the map dependency of how so bad many maps are for lockers and how survivors have such overly easy control of their teleporting power with the lockers. People would find them way more enjoyable if teleporting mid chase for mind games was more viable.

-Fix the bug that’s existed since their release of forcing you to always go to the locked locker. Super annoying.

That's not a bug, that's an intended feature. While it is annoying, I understand why it exists, and it would be fair if Dredge was a stronger killer so that consistent counterplay would be important. Sadly, he's not that strong, and everything about his power screws him over.

  • They've mentioned looking into it but BHVR says a lot of things that never lead to anything. Like equalizing survivor sounds.

  • I think Nurse and Blight should be excluded from all arguments not specifically about them.

  • BHVR promised they were going to do this. That was years ago. They still haven't done it.

  • I've been thinking Grim Embrace should be a Scourge Hook perk as well.

Hangman's Trick needs a buff if not an outright rework, so does Leverage.

  • Dead Hard is okay now. It still sucks to go against, but it is not as suffocatingly common as it used to be.

I still wish killers had better perks to inflict Exhaustion though.

  • These are problems every region complains about, it is not just Japan.

Maybe the casual playerbase has shrunk, leaving more of the experienced players who put in a lot of effort to play, which easily outplay the remaining casual players, which causes them to leave, which makes the problem worse.

  • I don't know if this will improve performance on Switch, or make it worse. It could go either way, it could even do both at the same time. I'm tired of losing chases because of severe stutters mid-game.

These are all terrible. I might unironically buy Jonahs headpiece once it's available for shards though

Nea's is fine, surprising to see her get a relatively normal haircut for once, but the others look ridiculous. Jonah looks like a turtle. Zarina looks like a go-go dancer. David, as someone else said, looks like a male stripper. Kate's is okay I guess. Trickster's is tacky as hell but everything he wears is tacky as hell so at least it's consistent.

  • Swap the Deep Rift Bloodpoints for Iri Shards.

I would have liked if Deep Rift colors changed from Rift to Rift instead of being blue all the time, it's getting bland.

That was the answer I gave in the survey.

  • The Unknown's mori animation requires a long stretch of open space in front of it. It's a cool animation but BHVR should be more mindful that some of their maps are very cramped and cluttered and they shouldn't be making mori animations that require a lot of area just to display correctly.

What proof or evidence do you have that it is intentional?

A lot of killers have quirks to them that were not intentional. Some of them are just a logical consequence of how the power interacts with the game, some of them were clearly overlooked because people didn't learn or discover them before the PTB was released. Heck, sometimes things were present in the PTB that people despise but gets pushed to live anyway (*cough legion *cough).

If you like the killer alot, sure that is fine. But I don't see any reason to believe this is nothing more than a bug that lets the killer do interesting things. Just like Blight's hug tech (I hate the word tech) for instance, that is definitely not intended since the devs tweak it so often. Maybe the devs will decide they like the unknown being able to this that they polish it up or make it more clear that this is something the killer has the ability to do.

In the launch stream for All Things Wicked, BHVR displayed a compilation of content creators' playing the PTB and doing trickshots with The Unknown's power, one of which was Otz landing a successful shot on a survivor through a wall. The Unknown was able to hit through walls on the PTB, it continued to be able to hit through walls on live, and BHVR used The Unknown hitting survivors through walls in its marketing for the chapter.

You, on the other hand, have no proof that it is an unintentional glitch other than "because I said so."

  • I think this has also happened to me, being suddenly rescued from a killer's grip for no reason whatsoever, and I play on console. I thought it was just a glitch the first time, but when I noticed it happen again, I started thinking there's some kind of stealth hack my teammates were running.

It doesn't feel good to benefit from cheating I had nothing to do with.

  • He looks like he's trying to join Rainbow Six.

  • These forums are pretty unpleasant overall. Everyone is miserable about something and they will post about it even if it's not relevant to the discussion at hand. New users, old users, it's constant drama and despair over every little thing.

Found one… he basically argues that removing depipping removes a sense of accomplishment & caters to the emotions of " emotionally immature" gamers or something like that.

It's a strange take imo considering all the ways you have no control over a depip, especially as survivor.

Complaining about other players having a more relaxing game experience is some extreme elitism.

  • I agree with the sentiment that slapping Haste buffs on everything lately has felt like lazy game design.

But 113% speed Huntress isn't gonna kill you that hard.

  • @Seraphor said:

I'd rather they look at equalising BP scores between roles/killers.

Some killers gain more deviousness than othersn some killers rely more of stealth, range or hit and run so they get less chase points.

Some killers powers allow more survivor interaction so you score more BP that way, others can down you instantly so no chase or boldness points.

And of course survivors still earn less on average than killers in general.

Rather that boosting BP across the board, simply bring all of this discrepancy up to the same level as the current highest earners.

I had an incredible game against a huntress yesterday, repaired multiple gens, several hook rescues and heals. But because we were all hit at range, no chases, no pallet stuns. What would have been a 25k+ game against other killers was a 15k game against Huntress.

Skull Merchant makes obscene amounts of Deviousness points because she gets points for every single itty bitty thing her power does. Set a drone, points. Scan a survivor, points. Hit a survivor after scan, points. Recall a drone, points. Points points points points, she is showered in points. It's like if Wraith got points for going invisible every time.

Agreed, especially since I know people who for whatever reason, cannot or will not play as killer have been unable to get all of the survivor cosmetics in past events due to how you had to get everything else. Like the Christmas outfit for Jeff, you had to complete and unlock everything else to get his head, meaning anyone that was not able to play killer (can't or wont, all reasons are valid IMO) was unable to get his head. Some would say that's not a big deal, but to some it is.

You know what really annoyed me about the Christmas outfits? You could only complete them after Christmas, because the necessary last page of the Event Tome only became available after Christmas.

What's the point of dressing Jeff up as Santa when Christmas is already over??

I agree that it would be better for a non-teachable perk to be an effective anti-tunnel perk. DS being locked behind a paywall is problematic. Even better would be basekit changes that help against tunneling.

But I personally still feel like this is better than nothing. It will definitely help with tunneling a bit, and that's what this game desperately needs at the moment. I also find it hard to believe this buff won't benefit top players at all. Even if they know how to make use of the 3 second stun, having that 5 second stun will definitely aid them even more.

I definitely think there needs to be more done about tunneling, but I also believe that buffing DS back to 5 seconds is at least a good start.

We should just abolish the Shrine of Secrets and make a full-on perk shop that lets you buy all perks in the game for Iridescent Shards. No more perk paywall.

  • If Decisive Strike becomes popular again, I plan on using Knock Out to try to punish baiting it, so I hope it goes completely unchanged.

  • DS already deactivates in endgame, as others said.

BHVR's silence on Buckle Up + For the People is very concerning.

Hex: Ruin should be buffed back up to 200% regression, or at least 150% regression.

  • Michael Myers and Nemesis need reworks.

Nemesis and Pyramid Head need hardcore add-on passes, and I'm talking HARDCORE.

Dredge, Knight, and Ghost Face need buffs. Knight especially needs his dependent add-ons made basekit. Dredge needs his powers to actually function. Ghost Face is the M1est killer to ever M1 and needs some help.

  • He's more fun than other killers. I'd rather play against a Blight than a Nurse, Skull Merchant, Leatherface, or Huntress. But it's still not very fun.

  • His Infection has to do something. Making you one-shottable with his power isn't good enough on its own, especially on maps with wide open spaces with nothing to slam into.

  • Bots can see Ghost Face through walls and have perfect awareness of where the killer is even while Undetectable.

  • They should, at minimum, take less time to open.

Luck should be reworked to affect chest item spawns as well.

  • I don't think it will affect a lot, but I'm sure it will help some players cool their jets a little, mine included. I never liked being on that last pip of a rank and feeling myself enter Sweat Mode because I was afraid if I didn't tryhard in my next match, I would lose a pip.

  • Have it activate twice so we can double up on survivors body-blocking off-hook? No thanks, once is enough.

  • I've never heard of Bond being off-meta.

Desperate Measures isn't meta but it's a nice perk to have, I like running it, it's simple and effective.
