Pay to win tactics aren't exactly a good thing you know? If you're not that great at killer, you should work on improving that.

I mean considering dbd track record with recent killers this is the intended result.

  • Umm excuse me I PAID for this character and deserve to win. I honestly wouldn't have bought him if he didn't have advantages other killers don't. I'm not that great at killer so it's a win/win.

I would argue that players discussing why they've stopped playing the game as much, their experiences in playing the game contributing to that fact, and their frustrations at broken promises from the developers time and time again on the feedback forum for the game could not be more on topic or constructive.

Can't agree more. "Respectful" as a modifier to allow people to lose access to the forums gives free reign to individuals to just prune and ban with no line or rule to reference as it's completely subjective. Not something I would normally do but even chat gpt can't find how the post is being disrespectful.. snarky yes sarcastic yes

  • Because cheating companies pay off anti cheat system to have "approved hacks" they can sell for premiums heck you can walk into Internet cafes and see prices for chests listed on the literal walls and pay to use these cheats and get throw away accounts to use them as they also buy online games in bulk for penies

  • They really need a character limit for posts... Essays created probably by chat gpt. To argue for some vague point? I really don't know after reading your whole post what the heck your point is... You either hate the direction of the game trying to balance the survivor role around crummy tactics or so other ambiguous grief.

But geez what you said and your point could have been conveyed in a paragraph longer is not better and some times less is in fact more.

If that means people cant make bot accounts and post gore or other illegal materials to the forums, BHVR can take my "rights" away

I mean as pointless as your point is.. behavior can just delete the whole forums? What are you getting at.

If your point is to remove features for good people because bad people exist. Why do we do anything or even leave the house on a daily basis? You can get Tboned in a car anytime you drive or a mugger can take things to far while your involved. Should we mandate stay at home orders? Vet people walking into the store?

I get I'm being dramatic here but where does the line stop for you to be safe? When a truly dedicated person can just bypass them and you have given up something for nothing.

  • So many people in this thread willing to throw rights away for "artificial" safety is crazy. @MDRSAN literally had the highest quality post in this whole thread and gets down votes.

  • You know I thought long and hard on this the last day or so. And having receiving a (redacted) on my account . For saying these forums are dead because free speech is smothered and people who are actual passionate in the game and care for it get (redacted) we end up with this terrible place with like 15 active accounts. Same threads posted over and over with the same dog and ponie show because we care to much about how people say things instead of what they are saying.

This place cares to much for civility when rage/passion and progress are inseparable. It truly is a shame that even this mild post is most likely going to get (redacted) despite my extreme effort to color with in the lines of this place.

So yes this place is a husk. The remaining people not diverse enough to have actual good conversations and the ones who are get kicked out of the sandbox.

  • Isn't there like a streamer with like a 60 win streak on trapper.. the dude definitely has a higher MMR than you, which means he's getting even sweatier players and is still performing incredibly well with universally considered one of the weakest killers.

Now I mostly play survivor. I'll admit that. And I also will admit that I will never really play in high levels of this game. I don't wish to hone that skill. I don't wish to do the research the knowledge checks..

For me that means every 10 trials I enter I die in seven of them. For killers, once you reach your peak, it means you're killing two to three people each game and there's going to be games where you kill zero or even one.

Finally once you get into a good MMR spot this is what I do. I just stopped going for four kills. I'll multi-hook everybody kill two off. Get the other two on death hook, capture them and then let him go in my mind. I won and now my Mr. Will stay exactly where it is

  • Maybe if survivors generated as much money as killers did they would care about their experience.

the anti tunnel and slug was fine and should’ve went live with zero changes for months while they collect data.

Good for me not for thee.

This is the hypocrisy behavior uses that creates all the toxicity around here. Completely inconsistent on how they handle changes. No one likes clowns changes on the PTB but they pushed it through to collect data.

No one likes ghoul but we were told to adapt.

First new item added in years gets destroyed in 7 days.

Anti tunnel and slug 3 days. No telling players to adapt no collecting data for months. And then people scratch there head and is like "ugh these forums are filled with them vs us toxic mentality grow up"

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

They had instant, remote hooking as a feature of 2v8 and people still slugged.

Well.. there you have it? The thing is slugging is the most powerful move in the game. And the only way to secure a win with 4 single hooks. With the right build as the killer it's all you really need to do to win.

What is the purpose of repeatedly saying "gen regression", and ignoring the other killer perks that are still nerfed?

Seriously, why should we care if the gen regression perk nerfs got reverted, if some of the other killer perks nerfs are still intact?

Please stop replying... This is just getting sad man your cooked it's over. And flailing about and intentionally misunderstood arguments isn't helping your cause.

Regression is regression, don't read anymore into it. The statement "all killer regression perks got unnerfed" is factual. DMS is NOT a regression perk. No one said "no killer perks got nerfed" which is what your arguing against and yup you win that argument!

But alas the conversation is about gen regression. And not gen defending perks take the L and walk away.

  • Also didn't it just get a text correction? And was already giving a 60%. It just can't stack now and from looking it up it was giving 66% before so it actually got nerfed.

  • @KajdanKi said:

I am survivor main and I do not see any problem with current changes and meta. What do you mean only killer gets buffs?

Didnt they nerf Dead Man's switch for example? Off the record was nerfed because trolls use it the most which is unjustified and I hope they revert it.

First sentence "I have no problem".

    Second "actually I Do"

  • Some times when I'm board I try and make that humm like croaking noise for as long as possible. And like some times it feels like you can go for like 5 minutes before running out of breath. Hopefully my input helps and the bump :)

U realize if they could do that, anyone can just spam new accounts and spread these horrible images right? Whatever is being linked in your post should require approval from a forums manager.

Who cares? Why should a few bad apples ruin a whole system for people using it correctly

  • Oh I'm so sure they just forgot to revert all the perks except tenacity and OTR. Both related to anti slug and anti tunnel. They definitely didn't forget borrowed time because those extra seconds were to OP. And the killer perks all got reverted.. maybe it's a bug that the new killer also got extra buffs after the PTB and now killers can see hooks states to tunnel easier.

  • Yes make the user experience worse because some one broke the rules. Terrible mentality.

  • @killer_hugs said:

fog vials let survivors have a slightly higher escape rate than 40% so they had to be nerfed. basically if anything has ANY impact on the game whatsoever it doesn't get to exist in a state where it will be used.

How could they tell if it helped survivors or not lol. They got nerf twice in as many weeks. Mean while killer changes are always given a wait and see approach or told it will be months for a change like clown and ghoul.

  • People still don't see the "them vs us" is constructed by behavior to have the player base be against each other instead of behavior the The culprit behind all the incompetency that's been happening with the game's balance. Survivors lashing out at killers? Because behavior releases blatantly fair updates. Behavior needs killers up in arms because they mismanaged an update with bugs and have an embarrassing walking Dead stream. Tell them a horrible unsubtle anti tunneling and slugging system is coming. Wait!! It was to much!! Take it away buff killers and nerf survivor perks!! Ahh perfect level of toxicity added to the community.

whatever mental gymnastics help you cope with it . If you are doom queueing to leave every other game you really don't like dbd anymore.

Oook? Do you play survivor at all? See the threads about tunneling. No mental gymnastics needed. It really is ok not to reply if you don't have an actual rebuttal some one else who can might come around.

That’s my problem, why is it ok for Nurse to be this powerful but no one can ?

It's like saying why have laws when people break them.

Nurse is problematic has been forever. That shouldn't be the bar for killer creation or else they should be really buffing other killers who are fall below that bar (everyone).

To clarify I wouldn't have a problem with boosting every killer to be as strong as nurse as long as the game is balanced around that.

  • ItIts because Killers cause the biggest waves while being less of the player base. Look at the forums for example a pro survivor idea gets a a bunch of up votes and killer ones get a bunch of down votes. The survivor population is not happy and seething and coping but most of these players are docile lurkers here on the forums. Don't have the reach of some YouTuber like Ortiz. And the survivors that do have big following don't take the game as seriously as a killer player because they literally can't as they need to entertain their viewers and watching survivor gameplay and be rather boring so they are chatting more and being a great personality on top of being a good survivor.

Killers always show up in full force when something is threatening their role. A few survivors with a bunch of upvotes show up whenever their role is threatened and that's it. That's how the role has lost absolutely everything since release

  • @Rick1998 said:

bruh some people will DC because they were the first found in a match and don't want to be chased. I've had insta DCs while playing deathslinger . The people in these videos are burnouts who just need to dc , turn of the game and live their life a little.

With no proper protection against tunneling being found first. Just shows the killer that you're the weakest link. It also means going after you is the most appealing as you already have a hook state, the killer has already shown He can catch you once so doing it two times shouldn't be a problem. And finally, he's going to know where your location is for the rest of the game which will probably be short for the player.

So ISo I hardly just because you're the first survivor down, is that unreasonable, especially with the state of the game currently

  • How is killing everyone in a match kindness? Your playing a competive game every time you win your going to be stepping on another person to do it.

Just as survivors can basically only communicate by crouching and gestures killers can basically attack and nod. Your behavior choices regardless can be interpreted as toxic because with out proper communication everything can be out of context.

Finally celebrating at the end of a game isn't toxic gamers are just terrible at releazing that sports fans have been saying horrible stuff to their rivals their whole life but have no problem having a drink with them afterwards because they love the game and know that crap talking is great fun and move on.

  • Do you not realize what's happening? New killer that vaults pallets is super busted and has little to no counter play!!

Damnit this isn't enough incentive!! Wait!! Let's add a bunch of pallets to worsen the experience of the killers people want to play!! That way they will buy our new killer!!!

    High fives all around.

  • "the stronger role in an equal level match up with good coordination."

Any proof to this? I see it a lot but how do you even prove it? Most loses could just as easily be because your VSing higher skilled players. Considering truly good players can go on 50+ winstreaks with even trapper it's hard to imagine the "any time I lose means it's survivor sided" .

  • It's literally just tell sell a killer. Release over preforming killer so people buy to be "competitive" allow killer to over preform till new killer is announced.

  • Does Oni need anymore buffs? Like he's a pretty darn good killer as is. And I can see why flicking could be fun and engaging but what does the survivor get that would have a high ceiling added to combat that?

    Huge strawman argument.

Survivors that were weaponizing OTR, weren't literally doing nothing for 80 seconds. If a killer is in a chase when the OTR survivor is unhooked, then the OTR survivor was potentially getting healed, and then would immediately run towards the killer to try to interrupt the chase.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Fully healed survivors with endurance is useless it just puts you in the injured state+ mending. It means not only are you chasing 1 person 2 other are uselessly healing so the OTR person can take a protection hit? Why even heal.

  • I wonder why they didn't keep all the killer buffs from hooking people as well

  • Saja Boys cross over when!

When you watch a movie or see a imagine you do not see or know the ease or difficulty the artist went through to create that you see simply the end result.

Wrong. There is a reason why people praise good practical effects in movies and call out bad CGI in their reviews. Good practical effects take effort, creativity, and thorougness — which is always noticed. Good acting and writing keep people hooked and invested in a story, while cookiecutter writing and hiring famous celebrities who have a face and are trending for being good-looking (while not being able to act to save their lives) turn a movie into a snore fest. There is a reason why global cinema attendance is dropping — there is nothing worth watching on a big screen and nobody cares to make an effort anymore.

Just like you wouldn't want your door dash driver to show up 2 hours late on a skate board you shouldn't be cheering for an artist to spends days on an imagine he could generate in 5 mins and touche up in 20. If the results are completely equal.

These are two different jobs? A DoorDash driver doesn't cook the food you order, they deliver it — their task is to navigate their movement and manage time efficiently. An artist goes through several stages of creating an image (from trying out concepts to final touches), each of which is necessary for creating an impactful visual.

And before you claim it's killing artists and people will discard the arts because of this change. People still sew knit, they plant and grow food. Almost everything that is a hobby that has grown obsolete by just going to a store and buying something with higher quality that was made in a fraction of the time and priced lower then the labor it would cost you to do your self. Is still practiced by people who just enjoy it.

Except that people spent years and years training, practicing and learning to draw, illustrate, and animate with a very clear and specific goal to work for industries that inspired them. Many of modern artists have been learning and practicing before GenAI was even a thing. And now you suggest they should just accept that the years of their effort, all the time and money they invested in becoming professionals is going to be flushed down the toilet because corporate and business-owning idiots in suits decided they don't need artists anymore because they have an artstyle regurgitating machine that can replicate their work? Do you understand how that sounds?

Not to mention that artists aren't even going to be comfortable with posting their work online for self-promotion or trying to be their own brand — because corporate idiots and AI developers aren't going to bother themselves with such silly concepts as "copyright" and will feed works of other people to AI engine.

People complain about bad CGI.. again a note on the end product movies like Avatar on release were praised for the CGI and the visuals..

You mention cookie cutter scripts and decrease in writing quality idk what that has to do with AI persay but it's highly possible AI could even help that cause. I'm a mediocre song writer my self (exclusively parody songs that I created for friends and my kids) but AI can really assist once you have the vision at good foundation but can't fill in some of the gaps in ways that sounds and make sense for the theme of your song. This can easily help a bad creator Ok good great. I'm unsure if it can help the people at the peak of the creative world as I'm not one of them so I can't speak on that.

As for skills people worked on for years. Yeah it's sad people in certain industries will no doubt be negitvely affected by this technology. But you really should consider the idea of capability with technology as a mountain. With low technology everyone no matter their capabilities are useful. Mining tilling fields and manual labor. But as technology advances your move closer to the top of the mountain where the peak narrows and less capable people will fall. So many thousands of jobs have been killed by technology over the course of industry revolution to modern day. Gabe Newell said it well instead of reading articles about it and worrying about how it's gonna effect you rush to the races and get involved.

As for the copyright issue. The minute you post something online in a public space expect some one to have learned from it. And by law as long as it's not being used to directly infringe on your IP or branding it is completely legal. Artist have literal been fighting for fair use laws their whole life but the minute it's used against them the script flips completely lol

  • In a video game you are playing for the experience. When you watch a movie or see a imagine you do not see or know the ease or difficulty the artist went through to create that you see simply the end result. You as the consumer should be looking forward to the results not the journey to get there. Valid complaints are AI still struggles with certain details which I'm sure will be fixed over time. Just like you wouldn't want your door dash driver to show up 2 hours late on a skate board you shouldn't be cheering for an artist to spends days on an imagine he could generate in 5 mins and touche up in 20. If the results are completely equal.

Not necessarily. You can blame every company forcing Ai into everything ever for people's knee jerk reaction to it. People who understand the dangers of how AI is currently being used in multiple ways by multiple companies find themselves agreeing with luddites who think its the devil. Thats just kinda how opinions work sometimes, people can come to the right conclusions for the wrong reasons.

That said, its a nuanced situation. It is completely fine for automating mundane functions to increase efficiency. It is not ok for automating human labor in a way that creates excess and/or redundancy, especially due to its real world impacts. Most people have been conditioned to see the latter more than the former.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4003523#Comment_4003523

Thats about as transformative as a kid copying someone else's answer in school and just wording it differently to avoid being caught. Artistic expression in any medium is just that, expression. When someone writes a story, it has been molded by their life experiences. Same with movies, music, paintings, any medium of art. In many ways, it is a view into the creator's mind.

There will always be people who just do it for the paycheck, but the entire point of expressive mediums is to expand your perspectives based off of what was conveyed. When you automate or devalue that it becomes bad enough, but when you do so with a model that learns off of how it is programmed to perceive that expression it becomes downright insulting. Anyone who genuinely appreciates a piece of media wouldn't care if it was made with crayons and paperclips if its impact is profound and its perspectives genuine.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4003526#Comment_4003526

Huge false equivalence. A tattoo artist is still an artist, they are working on emulating an existing piece, but their creation of it is personal and unique. It would be closer compared to a cover of a song, which can sometimes meet or even exceed its original. AI learning would be closer to creating a way to detatch a style from its creator by way of attempting forced obsolescence, treating creativity and lived experience as a piece of technology to be replaced in a more clinical yet brutalist fashion.

Christopher Paolini. The author of Eragon wrote that book at age 15. His book is about dragons and a coming of age story that if I'm gonna be honest is a blatant rip off of star wars yet it's popularity grow to even get adapted into movies.

This is known as inspiration. We can only convey our own perspectives, but we can use the perspectives of others to bolster our own. Plato preached famously on this, as when our perspective is challenged by contradiction, we adapt our original perspective to the new information that is introduced. We then adapt to an understanding where both are equally valid. Its the foundation of critical thinking, and the reason why many stories share many motifs and even tropes.

Things like "The Hero's Journey" tie the foundation of stories together throughout history. Its also where the saying "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" comes from, and why many artists who draw genuine inspiration are happy to discuss it. The only thing that makes it morally or ethically incorrect is when that inspiration is denied, or the idea is passed off as original, which people rightly call out.

AI does none of that. it is the equivalent of asset flippers on platforms like steam.

no one is crying that every anime for the last 20 years uses all the exact same character art but a computer doing it?!?

Animation has trends. Since you brought up anime, you can see common styles ebb and flow throughout various points in time. People often equate it within decades, but there are also specific artists with specific styles, even when they share commonalities with others within styles. Mangaka like the late Toriyama are a great example. The same can be said for western animation as well, from the styles of the 80's and 90's saturday morning cartoons to the more modern proliferation of CalArts graduates. That said, there are plenty of people who dislike many of the technological injections into the field, especially when it would come at the cost of things like animation fluidity (aka less rigid and more expressive) and even framerate to cut down on animation cels and instead overemphasize key frames. Another famous western example of the former would be the evolution of The Simpsons, with very clear visualization when comparing even the intro across seasons.

And again, AI animation then creates the worst of all of the above, with a superficial appearance emulating the work that those people dedicated their lives to.

Using chatGPT in a argument about AI I can only clap.

Because everything you just mentioned is all human and everything has a history of some sort of emotion or story behind it and there is no computer that can replicate that. Its soulless and defeats the purpose of what art is.

But people need to use AI detection programs to discern what is AI gen'd and what isn't. So clearly humans as a whole are really bad at see "soul" or the computer can emulate it well enough that it doesn't matter.

Ultimately the absolute best AI work is made by professionals, real people who use this tool like any other tool to make their vision a reality faster.

The most toxic, unhinged, maniacal community in all of video gaming. COD, Battlefield, and even R6S aren't as bad as DBD players - even if the three were combined. DBD players are their own breed.

Literally this community is kinda tame. Like people are losing their minds of survivors dances in the exit gates. I think you've just only been here to long.

  • This thread is so hilarious. Why shouldn't a player utilize all there tools and perk combinations to maximum advantage? As op mentioned why would he need to handicap himself in a pvp game? Would he need to do that in any other game? Should he bring only a knife in a FPS or not by gear in a moba?

It makes me remember another post I made.

I handicap my self and don't play optimally in only a few scenarios and one of them is when I play a game vs my 3 year old daughter, she finds it great fun when she can "win" and I'm extremely happy for her. People here are suggesting OP should be doing that for them... I know I would be rather bothered to find out that my opponents needed to handicap them selves so I can have fun winning in a video game.

If there's an option to remove the tunnel in effective matches and provide another effective strategy, I'm all for it. But ptb didn't provide that. It removed the tunnel and seriously nerfed gen regression, without affecting survivors at all. It was simply absurd: I was playing a survivor solo (it was a good solo) against a good A-tier killer, but the killer had no chance of winning. And this despite the fact that this was yet another match where a teammate disconnected at 5 gens. Killer played objectively well, made no mistakes in the game, we were clearly at a disadvantage due to the bot, but the new system gave us four free escapes because Man's skill no longer mattered – only how poorly your opponent played. And we calmly followed the rules of effectiveness and split up.

every third hook kills that survivor regardless of who you hook.

I think it's unfair to the survivors, who were objectively better but were unlucky enough to get hit by a killer at that very moment when the hook becomes fatal, but let's say so.

I know that solo can't follow efficiency so easily, which is why my post included QoL with comm variations. For me, the tunnel wasn't an issue. But my teams were. How did I figure this out? I started playing SWF with one streamer. We didn't have real comms, we didn't have Discord calls. But the team consisted of four players who felt responsible for each other. None of us are comp try hard, by the way, we just played okay/well. My rating jumped and I started seeing really good numbers for last 30 days.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/62LDWQCI9OMN/img-0888.jpeg

    And then solo q happened:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9RLYL08CVC0W/img-1095.jpeg

Nothing changed. Same killers, same tunnel. The feeling of confidence in the team and their behave changed only , and that's all.

For me, the conclusions became very simple. I got tired of solo Q not because of the tunnel, but because of who I was forced to play with. Once you're playing in a decent team and your MMR is working, the tunnel becomes insignificant (except for three killers).

You mentioned that you got free wins in the PTB because the killer was left ineffective. And then as you point out even a tunneling killer can't always win vs a coordinated group while yes you were not on comms but you all came to win. Not to do tomes, testing a build or goofing off which is always a risk when you have randoms. But also MMR could be effecting your out come as well. If you joined up with 4 individuals of different MMR ranks the system could be putting you vs inappropriate skilled killers. This of course is hard to test. But I always love playing in swf with my work friends the games are very relaxing and easy since the players we vs seem to be lower on the totem pole.

Now the reasoning tunneling is the problem is killer power. With tunneling in the game they have to have a really really tight leash on killers and constantly nerf them to make things fair or as you seeing now handing out base kits like candy. They have been developing the game for years with tiny bandaids to fix the problem "anti camp, basekit BT, assortment of anti-tunnel perks" all of that was hoping it would fix tunneling so they could finally buff killers to make them truly devastating. But non of it work having a player kicked out a few minutes in is always the problem and problem they never see in there internal testing im sure since it's probably a strategy that they just don't use. As you mentioned in your original post allllll of the issues the purposes anti tunneling and slugging would have caused. I vividly remember Texas chainsaw massacre and getting into a match and being killed 40 seconds in multiple times a day. I quit and many other did as well. DBD doesn't have that dramatic of a problem with tunneling but there is always a weak link in any team and some players find it's them every time which results in them just quiting. Behavior isn't at risk of there game dying I don't think especially with cross overs that really keeps shuffling in new players from other fan bases but keeping them is the goal and fixing tunneling is a huge step in that direction

  • Honestly you beat bet for chase escaping is quick and quite, deception diversion and the like. While using them over and over won't work on the same person you will actually escape the chase or not start it at all.

As another mentioned and you allude to as well and that these chase perks just extend how long your up for. Eventually that equal skilled killer will get you down and maybe sprint burst extended your chase for 5 seconds or maybe it extended it by 40 but most of the time your gonna be on the ground at the end

  • The issue with tunneling as a strategy is it makes the game constantly buff survivors and nerf killers. You have a easy to do strategy that requires significantly more effort to counter. You basically said it in your own post survivors should be aiming to e as effective as the killer. Well random team with no comms gestures perk synergy. Can't play effectively vs a equal skilled killer look at killer win streaks for good examples of this. That single high skilled player playing. 100% effectively can get monster win streaks even on killers like trapped in comparisons to escape streaks even the highest skilled survivors can do.

The true solutions to completely remove the player being able to spread hooks example: every third hook kills that survivor regardless of who you hook. And balance the game around that. Or go in the opposite direction and remove the ability for the killer to tunnel all together which honestly seems more complicated.

Until you have only a single path to victory for killer you can't balance the game properly. Just as survivors can no longer just escape through the hatch and 4 man escape at the start of a game causing no way for them to balance. There shouldn't be a drastically more effective for the killer role to win that isn't just the mandatory path. Currently if behavior adjusted the game around tunneling slugging newer players and people who don't do that wouldn't be able to win period.

This isn’t about feelings, it’s about other people’s time. In a single-player game you can rage-quit whenever.
In a 5-stack lobby you carry four other players’ match with you.

If the system is lax, it will be abused: wrong map, wrong killer, short first chase, early gen → DC, run into the killer, or suicide on first hook. We all know the script.

What a sane policy looks like:

    • Treat all throws the same: early DC, deliberate hook suicide, intentional match throw → same flag.
    • One courtesy exception in a rolling window (crash, power cut, real life, bad day). After that, queue-served lockouts: start 15 min at the 2nd offense, then 30/60+ for patterns.
    • Active countdown only (client open). No passive timeout while you play something else → that should stay that way
    • Sliding forgiveness: successful completed games slowly clear penalties…earn your way back.

Protect the lobby from people who treat multiplayer like a disposable single-player run.

If that level of accountability kills your fun, that’s okay… the door is open at any point. Just don’t make four strangers pay your tab every time you “go next.”

That's insane rules. People should only get a penalty after 4 quits in 20. Maybe 5 since it's a better number. The penalty should count down globally on or offline.

Bots exist for a reason. And people shouldn't be forced stay in a match period. Full stop. But you won't catch me playing vs a 5th ghoul in a row. My 2 year old starts screaming at 9pm at night well it's afk or leave and one of those options helps the team. In the end it should matter "why" in the end no matter the side you shouldn't want a player that doesn't want to be in your match. In your match especially against their will. Unmotivated player will hurt your game play more then any bot.will.

If you have hearing issues, it makes it just a tiny bit hard to hear that ace or ada you lost LoS with mid chase, and can have absolutely nothing to do with tunneling, but sure. Maybe the reason people are opposed to "LITERALLY anything survivors do" is because in this case, it is something that actively impacts people who have impairments they can't exactly improve? Maybe take it on a case by case basis instead of trying to undermine arguments with blanket us vs them?

I'm gonna reply to this post instead of your longer one. Because I'm still tired and haven't fully digested your other one lol.

But that sounds like a strategy working as intended... That Ada escaped because of a direct action another did.. and it's hard to say if your impairment had anything to do with that most people would struggle to discern directional sound while a louder sound is being played. Unfortunately your impairment may strengthen the effectiveness of the strategy but it sadly just means you won't be a top 1% player in this game. Just like how an injury can permanently make a peak athlete not be competitive with other peak athletes it's sad and unfair to some extent but changing the rules for them isn't the call.

Ps..you did mention flash light clicking and seizures has been changed most likely due to UK law where warning and intentionally clicking lights at some one to trigger one is a criminal offense. So easier to just reduce speed and compile with the law.. obviously I can't know if that was the reason.

  • You would call a tattoo artist a thief for using a style he didn't create American traditional or new school despite them learning those styles by completely copying people who came before them.

Christopher Paolini. The author of Eragon wrote that book at age 15. His book is about dragons and a coming of age story that if I'm gonna be honest is a blatant rip off of star wars yet it's popularity grow to even get adapted into movies.

People have no problem with " blatant theft" they have a problem with technology and fear of obsoletion.. no one is crying that every anime for the last 20 years uses all the exact same character art but a computer doing it?!? "It's a thief !! It's plagiarizing!! It can't do that!!!"

  • Just give the killer the totem back when it's cleansed so they can rekindle a dull totem at the cost of pressure and time. Bam literally the whole system is fixed your welcome

  • *shakes fist at sky* ARRRGgG TECHNOLOGY!!!?

"Probably because they take everything so seriously"

Not sure if you've ever watched Hardcore Survivor, but the difference between the killer main content creators and the survivor main content creators was interesting to observe lol Otz and Dowsey spent the whole time trying to get JRM and Ayrun to take it seriously. Then Hens took over from Dowsey later down the line and he was even more on edge, constantly going off at JRM and Ayrun. They were all playing survivor for those games, but it was no surprise to me that the players (Otz, Dowsey, Hens) most drawn to killer were assertive and competitive, while the ones drawn to survivor (JRM and Ayrun) just wanted to have fun lol it made for a very interesting dynamic

Well there is also a vested interest in the killer player to "win" especially for content creators the dial needs to be tipped in their favor as their lively hoods literally depends on it. The survivor roles due to the nature of team based play, you can easily just get 3 bad teammates causing the most cracked player to lose results in the audience and player not to expect constant wins. They probably need to be chiller and more comedy motivated on stream to keep viewers interested as survivor game play can be very boring if your just left alone the whole match.

  • Your post was very long so I didn't read it all so I'll keep my short. You can't balance killers when you have methods or strategies that effect Killrate as much as we currently have. Your own post explains it in extreme detail. So until every killer tunnels and slugs for the 4k or none do you can't create a healthy game.
