Doubt that would be useful. Hysteria and Blood Echo both have similar effects and those don't even get used. Plus things like Kindred and comms would lessen the benefit.
It would still be an improvement over what it is now.

He doesn't, though.
He uses a cup, like a dignified person.

Adam and Élodie can be vampires too!
No one is a vampire.
Did you know male survivors exist?
Felix is getting a Jonathan Morris skin in the Castlevania Rift.
I keep seeing people on Twitter complain
People on Twitter are always complaining.

Scratch marks aren't spawning where they should, and sometimes they blink out of existence instead of fade, too.

Low hrs players, default skin players (like they did before). So devs literally forcing you to play with 300-500 hrs anon mod Claudette. Great decision by them, it's really gonna creat matches more enjoyable 👍
Sounds like a you problem.

People will still lobby dodge, so he's right it should be visible for teammates.
Lobby dodge what? Their teammates' cosmetics? Their usernames?
No.
-
Survivors lobbydodge each other too, it's fair the way it is now.

They are not even getting new accounts from Epic anymore, according to a hacker interviewed by Choy. They have a new source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLjS4jpP020
So, the solution is not removing a copy from the game on any platform. The best solution is for BHVR to fix their account system (and I'm going to guess that the BHVR account is the first step) and start doing software detection, as the hacker said himself.
Also, you have to take into account that someone paying 18 bucks a week to cheat in a videogame won't have too much problem paying 20 for the game again whenever he is banned. Because yes, they are paying for it. Sad, I know.
I was talking about making the game free on EGS. Like OP was.
-
No, you shouldn't care at all.
-
It looks awful without the fog.

I once called a streamer bully squad out and the streamer's defense was "that's just how we play" like it was normal. Then acted like they cooked me despite all of them dying.
It's all just egotrips.

there's really no easy way to mitigate that though, that's the issue. even if you took away the person's ability to make a new account, they'd spoof their way into making a new one or continuing to buy accounts off of people. you cant prevent someone from making a new user account, you can't prevent someone from buying a game, and you can't really stop people sharing their credentials to allow others to play. they will find a way around it.
i'm not saying that nothing can be done, as there are some options and i do agree that changes need to be made, but the reality is that the gaming industry is plagued with cheaters and there's no real true way to remedy the issue when it comes to live service games specifically. with the amount of tools out there as well, you can only slow it down so much before it bleeds into what steps need to be taken by the end user, and at that point it can become oppressive to your regular playerbase. COD, GTA, forza horizon, and other major titles still suffer from these issues to this day.
it also doesn't help that DBD has become boring or unpleasant to a lot of people, so there's a major incentive to do things to the game that people otherwise wouldnt or is beyond the game's scope. this is the nature of today's gaming climate.
people have fun in their own ways when something gets boring and unfortunately that comes at the expense of others. and even if you somehow manage to make the gameplay more engaging, eventually that gets boring too. it's all a cycle. 😔
Okay but making doing all of that even easier than usual is still bad and it should stop being enabled so much. This isn't about fixing all cheating, this is about not doing things that make cheating way easier for cheaters to do.
You're just arguing for the sake of arguing. No it's not a perfect end-all solution to every problem ever. Nothing is. Pointing out "but it doesn't fix everything forever" contributes nothing, it's just deflection.
-
@Skittlesthehusky said:
the issue is that removing a specific copy of the game is not going to be enough to stop cheating. if you want there to be no cheaters, then you may as well not have a game at all. if it exists, its hackable.
Of course there's always going to be cheaters. But there's going to be a lot more if they keep making it easy for cheaters to get new accounts to continue cheating with whenever they're banned. It's enabling a problem to make it much worse than it normally would be.

From what I remember, he only roars if he's in Tier 3 Mutation.
-
The only real-life persons I would accept as playable characters are John Carpenter and Clive Barker.
Otherwise, no, to everyone else.
-
This isn't a game meant to be taken that seriously.
-
Thank you for keeping us updated with these codes.
-
It's a little sad that Simon and Leon are merely costumes instead of fully-fledged legendary skins. But at least we'll have Alucard and Soma Cruz, and I'm looking forward to the next Tome already to see what else is in there. If we have an entire Rift of gothic-style outfits for characters, that would be fantastic.
-
I just got really tired of not being able to see anything. When 80% of the screen is black, it gets dull quickly.
-
Final Hour is an interesting but scary idea, it depends a lot on the map and the survivors' familiarity with it. I struggle to find totems on Dead Dawg and Yamaoka Estate, for example, so I'd be helpless against that perk on those maps. Especially if any survivors are already dead at that point. Maybe if it had a timer attached so that after, say, 2 minutes it auto-disables? Otherwise it could risk stalling the game unreasonably long.
-
This trick even works when catching survivors inside lockers, the right timing bypasses the blind immunity that locker grabs are supposed to have, which can make it literally impossible to do anything. It's a little appalling BHVR not only hasn't done anything to fix it, but is buffing Flashbang on top of it.

Don't have to worry about bruising an ego?
Don't have to worry about being farmed for content?
Don't have to worry about lobby shopping?
Don't have to worry about emotionally driven gameplay?
And I get to leave whenever I want and bm as much as I want?
Sign me up.
If all you want to do is play against unfeeling punching bags, wouldn't you be happier in a PvE game?
-
I'm looking forward to it. The perks seem meh but I'm mostly interested in the simple fun of playing as Dracula and a Belmont in DbD, so I plan on buying it. I'm also very happy about the Dredge and Nemesis buffs. This update looks like a good one.

It's been 3 months.

No, Bloodwarden does not need a Buff. If you want to benefit from it, you can open the Exit Gate yourself. 99ing Exit Gates is absolutely fine and also intended. The EGC is just a measurement to end the game and not a tool to help the Killer (even if EGC is ultimately killersided).
If anything would be done to 99ing Exit Gates you can expect to Survivors just opening the Gates and leaving, which would most likely lead to less Kills by the Killer, since nobody would try to save in Endgame anymore.
Changing 99ing the gates would make survivors stop idling in endgame with flashlights and teabags and instead they would just leave? Sign me up, best idea implemented in years.
On topic, Bloodwarden does need a buff. Its activation window is extremely specific and its effect isn't actually that strong outside of equally specific circumstances.

Crawling in first-person sucks anyway, one of many reasons I gave up playing Xenomorph.
-
Carpenter Brut, tying into his dark synth Leatherteeth character and associated music.
-
Skull Merchant. Knight requires more thought in placing his guards, is punished more for placing them poorly, has more counterplay, and has a less threatening power in general because basic looping skills means easily outrunning the guards if Knight isn't chasing alongside them.
Skull Merchant is walk to loop, push button, repeat.

Are they shorter or longer now? (I don‘t play him.)
Honestly the few times I played against him the guards constantly downed them and I was just running around picking them up, but the thing is I never got caught by the guards, so no idea what they were doing. The knight player had not even to help the guards with downing them.
Each guard will have a unique cooldown. Assassin's is 30 seconds, Jailer's is 25, and Carnifex is 20.
With how much counterplay the guards have, a survivor has to be very ignorant to get downed by them.
-
The red stain is easily visible on all maps because it's very red and very bright. The problem with scratchmarks was that they weren't very red and very bright. Now they are, so now they're equal, so now it's fair.
-
They did give the original four survivors outfits based on L4D1 and 2 characters back when the game first started out. I would like it if they added more, like giving Ace Nick's suit and Adam Louis's office worker outfit.
If we could have another L4D character in full, I'd absolutely take Coach.
-
I love Nicolas Cage's and Alan Wake's voicelines. But everyone else? i want to turn them off, please. Give me a button to quiet their chattering.

Now come to think of it…
Isn't Vecna (outside of unique chests) just Dracula but worse atm? hhmm…
Dracula definitely seems like Vecna but fun. Less cooldowns, better powers, more mobility, great aesthetics, higher versatility, and no built-in survivor counterplay. Also looks like a more faithful adaptation of the character, if you include Bram Stoker's depiction of Dracula as an aspect of him, as Castlevania pays homage to the original with respect.

@LadyOwO said:
We'll have to wait and see I feel. But if we are talking about who would win in a fight between the two it's easily vecna
Dracula is an undying incarnation of evil favored by the primordial force of Chaos that directly opposes God, as in capital G almighty God, beings that predate and transcend all others, Alpha and Omega type stuff, powers that would slap around any D&D deity.
@LadyOwO said:

Vecna could just delete Dracula with a Wish Spell.
Wish can't kill Dracula any more than it can kill Vecna. It would either fail, because even Wish has limits, or it would backfire by operating in a completely different manner than just killing him. And he'd just come back anyway.
-
This is an improvement but does nothing about every other change that penalizes Knight just for playing the game so it's not going to change much.
-
On the flipside, I'm constantly getting p100 survivor SWF squads sending me to Eyrie of Crows while using every dirty trick in the book. I would like to enjoy this double XP week but it's feeling like a miserable slog with constant bad matches. I don't know what's up with matchmaking but this feels abnormal.
-
Give me Deathslinger wearing that old-timey red union suit. You know, that onesie with the flap in the back that was in old cartoons and Westerns all the time.
-
I'd rather keep hatch how it is than switch to your idea. The problems I encounter are rare fringe cases, your changes would make every match worse.
-
I don't think DbD has a defining art style anymore. It's just a generic-looking game overall.
-
I'm finally seeing the bloodpoint bonus on killer again.

Someone had a 400 streak on Clown… and it seems every other killer has similar numbers. Not sure if they’re all playing to the full scope of their killer’s kit, but I think what’s damning is that a person can obtain such a kill rate without fully using a killer’s powers. It really speaks to how oppressive killers are.
What it really speaks to is how many people here blindly believe in every statistic you throw at them.

I don't see anything wrong in there, S tier is good, A tier is usable/consistent, B tier is meh and anything below that is not even decent
You have an extremely different view on how tier lists work, then.

Isn't that just a way of using words? "at most" basically means "could be called A tier if you really insist to", so it's more in a line between B tier and A tier, and does not mean "blight is an A tier killer"
And you still call that mediocre?

The 2 kids and Vanessa are the only 3 humans to ever been properly shown in FNAF. All the others I know of have only been seen as pixels or never seen. Can't really build a character from just pixels.
Vanny and SpringTrap are 2 very different characters and back grounds. SpringTrap being a killer and an undead entity trapped inside of his own animatronic while Vanny still a living person that's being controlled against her will by a virus of sorts.
Also a legendary skin for the Dredge based on Endo. Not the Sister Location version, but the other that's looks more like an messed up abomination with Fun Time Freddy ruined head.
BHVR could just make a new original design representing Mike Schmidt or Henry Emily or any other human character in FNAF. It's not the first time they've taken creative liberties for a new chapter, Yoichi Asakawa's design was created by BHVR for the Sadako chapter because the character was just a child in the movies so they aged him up and wrote him an original backstory. They could easily do the same for FNAF, I'm sure it'd be easy to get Scott Cawthon to sign off on whatever they'd want to do to make the chapter work.
At the very least, they absolutely must give Dwight a security guard outfit.

It was "fair", but it was definitely his ONLY anti loop capability, now he is just "hit survivors at open (not really if they are good at dodging) while running around fast" and nothing else, probably A tier at most
He lost strongest addons, strongest "quirk" aka bug, and now just a mediocre killer, calling him top tier would be honestly ridiculous
How is Blight both potentially A-tier and mediocre at the same time?
-
Don't.

i can alredy tell you, that wouldnt be enough of an incentive.
There is nothing you can do to incentivize the hardcore tunnelers from not tunneling, unless that incentive means winning the game harder than tunneling does.
But for everyone else, any little thing helps.

considering that most anti tunnelling perks prevent survivor from going down in the first place, it won't be a big issue.
though I would make it so killer cant mori survivor unless they have overall achieved a bunch of hooks so you still dont get easy time achieving a kill in first 3 downs.
Finally, a way to reward spreading hooks. Make it so that basekit Moris cannot be used until, let's say 4 hooks have been made. Maybe 5 if you want to be strict.
-
I would also like the original FNAF 1 pizzeria as a map. I think, since Freddy Fazbear's has no exact location, that the map could be made a part of the Shattered Isle realm, designed in a style similar to Greenville Square, but ideally smaller. The Pizzeria could be the central location of the map that takes up a lot of space, while leaving some area outside for parking lots and parks so that not everything is packed together inside the building, because there's only so big they can make the Pizzeria. So you'd have all the classic areas like the dining area, kitchen, storage, security room, etc. Maybe even include the spooky easter eggs the original game had, like the posters turning into creepy children's drawings.
For the killer, it is very likely William Afton as Springtrap, though whether it'll be living Afton or zombie robot Afton, I'm not sure. I have no idea what his power would be but he'll probably be an M1 killer.
For the survivor, they have options. They could use Michael Afton, pre- or post-zombie. They could use one of the security guards from the original games. They could use Vanessa from Security Breach. I think most people will want to play as a Freddy Fazbear's security guard because that's the most popular and iconic thing.

It does count in the official stats released by devs and they are balancing by including hatch escapes in the escape rate.
In that case, I support removing hatch escapes from being counted as a part of escape rate statistics. I do not support removing the hatch from the game.
