Not strange at all, people simply think: Oh wait, so now it's actually going to be more than a test!

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Those ARE the official percentages, the wiki datamines every single value these days, there's no testing involved.
It's also why the wiki changes descriptions a bunch, because most of the values don't make sense with the in-game description (i.e. time vs. speed).
Okay that's good to know, but wouldn't they still test them to make sure they're the correct values?
Cause if they're incorrect then the wiki could state that as well.
-
@TGB said:
I didn't know that - although, if your screenshot is from just now, I know that percentage values were removed from addons, and were given flat values for simplicity. So meh :(
No the description has always been this simple, BHVR has been doing "Considerable" and such since the very beginning.
The %'s that the wiki provides by hovering over the text is their results from testing them.
If it was the official %'s then it would be part of the normal text.
BHVR very rarely turns a "Considerable" into a % in the text, but they have also never turned a % into a "Considerable".
-
@TGB said:
I already have this bookmarked, but it doesn't have addon information.
If you hover over the texts that say "Considerably", "Tremendously" etc., you should get the value to appear.

I don't think people who dislike SBMM need "a wake-up call", but i am glad to also see people who would enjoy SBMM.
Excited? Ehhhh, i don't get excited for things staying how they are, which is what happened in my case with SBMM.
-
It was fine for me on my main.
-
Don't even remember them.
-
Can't you bait it around the Basement Hooks?
-
I very rarely do it, but when i do it it's to stop the long-ass ear-piercing screams.

I play add on less and most killers need it.
The only killer that seems good for good players without add ons:
- Wraith
- Oni
- Blight
- Spirit
- Plague
- Hillbilly
- Huntress ( but sometimes I miss it gets ready to drop hatchet faster)
- Deadslinger
- Freddy
- Pyramid head
- Demogorgon
- Twins
The others would need rework or buffs to be played vs people who know how to play.
Idk man, 12 out of 25 Killers is pretty much in the middle.
-
Yes, it would.
The cooldown on it needs to calm down and that's really it.
Maybe do something else than a difficult Skill Check?
-
I (mostly) only play Wraith & (mostly) only put on the Add-ons that i have the most of.
As you can most likely guess, that means i (mostly) only use Common & Uncommon Add-ons.
Especially with his Common Add-ons (which aren't all that great without combining them with specific Add-ons or Perks) it feels like you might as well pick nothing.
Despite that, i'm having a good time in terms of results.
Idk about other Killers (and to some this may seem like a bold claim), but Wraith is not Add-on dependant.
Enough Add-ons do buff him greatly though, i won't deny that.

It doesn't solve the problem. And honestly, it's a massive game design flaw.
Basically a Killer can avoid interacting with 3 of the 4 players in the beginning half of the game, while completely preventing 1 player from playing the game and win the game using an extremely low skill/extremely high reward tactic that brown and yellow ranked killers have perfected.
This game design flaw is also contributing to gen speeds being so fast. If the Killer couldn't tunnel/camping 1 player out of the game while ignoring the other 3 players, then the gen speeds could be slowed down. However, since the game has to be designed around a Killers ability to be able to tunnel/camp 1 player out of the game ignoring the other players, the gens have to be fast enough for the other 3 survivors to get to a break even point.
That wasn't me thinking the problem's fixed.
-
I think i'd like it more if Blindness got a buff.
And the buff i've always had in mind is that it doesn't just block Auras, but all the "supernatural" things.
We're talking Auras, loud-noise bubbles (noise still happens though), the Red Stain, maybe even make Hex Totems look like Dull Totems.
Killer Powers unaffected of course.

Giving them points in Distraction wouldn't be to bad I suppose. Technically a camped Survivor is being distracting
If Killer is looking at Hooked Survivor & if Killer is within [VALUE] meters of Hooked Survivor, give Hooked Survivor [VALUE] Bloodpoints per second.
Sounds cool, i don't think we should mind more ways to get BP in this grind of a game.
-
Coup de Grâce & Dying Light, at least on my personal level.
-
It's not my favorite part of the Trial for sure, but maybe i'm just naturally more accepting.
Idk, there's always the next Trial, i'm a patient man.

Whispers, Nurse's calling, sloppy butcher, bitter murmur, Iron grasp, & NOED.
At the most i happen to not care for any of those Perks.
- I only ever equip 1 detection-focused Perk and that's Barbecue & Chili 99.9% of the time, so no Whispers, A Nurse's Calling & Bitter Murmur for me.
- I find Sloppy Butcher to not be punishing enough to be worth using and compliments the hit-and-run tactic more which isn't my thing at all.
- Iron Grasp is lol: Never have issues with their struggling even if they have Boil Over III, and there's plenty of Hooks even with a Petrified Oak.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death is a late-game-only Perk, so no thank you.
Also: Plant?!
Says the literal Corn person! 😜
-
Haha, yeah i saw a very similar thing like this happen a while ago.
It's so rare to have people genuinely die to EGC nowadays, so i was treated to a cool kill animation.
-
Since the answer has already been given, i'll just drop a tip.
If you're lacking in BP because of this happening, pay a visit to the Basement if you have the time. (Depends on if the other Survivors immediately activate EndGame Collapse.)
Free Boldness BP down there. It's slow but it's risk-free & better than nothing.
-
The Wailing Bell.
Don't care how much better Spirit is, at least Wraith isn't on a cooldown.
-
I'll still be unhooking them.
They are still a meatshield & a possible distraction.
Don't really care if they are doing random ######### after being unhooked, detrimental to me or not.
-
I try and beat the odds anyway.
-
No, i feel doing stuff like that just poisons the mind.
I'll only consider if it's more profitable to go for her or not.
-
- Hex: Devour Hope
- Make Your Choice
- Barbecue & Chili
- Hex: Undying
- Eruption
- Pop Goes The Weasel
- Surge
-
Pretty much.
I also avoid late-game-only Perks with a passion for this sole reason.
-
I'll just answer the 3 questions.
- If i found the game to be boring after 1 year then i wouldn't even be here. Entertaining is an absolute must-have for me with videogames.
- I just play how i want, that's all there's to it.
- Because i don't hate anything in this game. I have my fair share of annoyances with the game but i take those with all the good things the game provides me with, so i compromise.
-
Yes, i've had many times now where a Survivor t-bags behind a Pallet while i'm breaking it and then just barely didn't make it to the next Pallet or fully through a window.
Pretty satisfying.
A more simple case: I had someone t-bag me at the Exit Gates, but i guess they didn't know they were under the effects of Rancor.

They weren't doing any of that.bi was uncloaking around corners and stuff like that.
I was jk I know he isn't op
Well you asked us in your title, so it was hard to see as a joke.
Cool that you don't think so though.
If you're uncloaking around corners, then you're pretty much doing the best you can with that Add-on combination.
If they get grabbed like that then you certainly did good, but i wonder what their perspective looked like.
Did they look at their corners, did they listen for your noises that aren't the Bell, stuff like that.
-
While the combination indeed allows for the best chances to get a grab on him, it's not impossible at all to avoid it.
- When you know it's Wraith, always have the most focus on the corner that's closest to you. With that Add-on combination, he will most certainly fully uncloak behind cover and the corner you're closest to needs the most focus because if he comes from there and you're watching a different corner you're probably getting grabbed.
- He still makes a LOT of snarling/growling noises, try to listen for them while repairing. (The Generator noises covering his sounds is kinda the point: The further you progress, the harder it'll be to hear him.)
- Wraith can avoid Spine Chill if he wants to, but it still doesn't hurt to have it on just for him. Sometimes Wraiths misjudge the distance and will only start looking away after they entered the 32 meter zone. If SC lights up even once, if it's against a Wraith then that's potentially bad news. Premonition is actually the better choice if a Wraith successfully avoids SC.
- Check for his shimmer anyway. Doesn't matter if it's not infinite anymore, it's still 20 meters and a bunch of Wraiths seem to not even care to use objects as cover during the approach. (Your cloak is only a stealth TOOL, guys! It's not complete stealth!)
Wraith OP? No, i don't think so.
At most 1 Add-on is problematic.
This comes from a Wraith-only player though, so take that opinion however you want.

It is outdated and demanding, you shouldn't have to use an external program to record evindence of someone cheating or else you get ignored, the mods should be able to check the logs of the game to be able to decide wether he was cheating or not. Counter Strike for example.
Kinda weird: I don't really agree nor disagree.
-
Console players always had it at least a bit bad.
It's simply way worse right now.
-
Gotta agree, i've never seen a new map be this disliked, not even Midwich.
I don't mind the map that much but i do wish it was smaller.
-
Devour Hope, and when talking about a Perk's fun factor i always say this: To me, it's a GOOD thing that it doesn't always get to 3 Tokens, and certainly not to 5 Tokens.
Disregarding why having it always work would be very bad balance-wise, i just know that if i could 1-hit & kill everyone every Trial, i wouldn't get any fun out of it after a while.
There's no challenge in that.
-
You guessed it right: You have an EXTREMELY small increase in chance for better stuff on your Bloodweb, and you get a bloody piece.
You also get an achievement/trophy for each tier of Prestige the first time you do it.
Whether those are worth prestiging for or not is entirely up to the player.
I fully Prestiged a character during the last anniversary.
-
Idk man, it's kinda funny.

It was kind of a joke. I understand that.
And yes, I could see this being a viable rework. Or even the gist of another potential (new) perk.
Oh okay, i didn't catch that. My bad.
-
I can't really say one definitively as i play Survivor very little nowadays.
But my mind keeps going to Doctor and no, not because i love the sound of screams.
It's probably got something to do with that he can find out where you are with the click of a button while dozens of meters away.
I like playing stealthy, so him being the Killer is an automatic increase in difficulty to the challenge of survival.
-
@TerrorUnleashed said:
No, then it'd be Fire Down.
You taste the full effects immediately, so it's still a form of Fired Up.

"face camped"
"brought a mori"

3 can be too easy to get, and there's no way to bring that amount down.
Nope, not a fan of this one.
-
For as long as they can make up content that they deem worthy to release.
-
You haven't been here for long, i see.
-
Considering that incredibly high counter of modders in a row and with nothing to back it up, i am very skeptical.
I'm not ruling out the possibility but since you are sitting at 170 hours, i am thinking this is more of a lack of knowledge of certain mechanics within the game.
-
Outdated and demanding?
I successfully got someone a VAC ban not 2 months ago for blatant cheating, video added.
-
I feel the reverse to what you think: I don't mind any specific Realm Offering, but Realm Offerings in general are such a bore.
Choosing the Realm & map is one of the few aspects of the game i'd happily let RNG have full control over, if you want to play on specific Realms and/or maps then i'd rather you go play a custom game.
But i also just wanna get rid of the BP sink.
I can find 28 Rare things on my Bloodweb, 23 of those are Offerings and 15 of those are Realm Offerings.
-
Killer nerfs.
-
I feel a bit sad i can't say Wraith anymore.

That would be an insane skin for Wraith o.o I love it!
I feel like the devs could do some really crazy skins for him but nothing has really wow'ed me with him sadly -.- His Hallowed skin is my fav tho!
I can't deny there may be a lack of wow-factor, but the hole right through his torso did wow me when it came out.
