  • The pressure from "Our plan is to release 4 Chapters per 3 months" seems to apply.

    @Boss Hey Arnold!

I bought it for Ashy Slashy... I wish we got an emote with it tbh.

If I bought the rights to drive someone's car... and they change my favourite seats...

Okay Mr. ICNAC, doesn't matter what you bought it for, if you wreck the car, prepare for a lawsuit.

Yes because u guys like to crying, good job with the endgame, and good job for mettle too. Start crying for the movement speed maybe they nerf this too :)

They won't nerf what needs to be nerfed.

Sucks for you i guess that you can't use the original MoM anymore, but to you, it's a necessary evil.

Being a decent human being doesn't cost anything btw.

  • Something just occurred to me.

He can hit Exit Gate Switches while invisible.

Since they love their lore, bring it in for consistency, devs. kthx

I have no idea how my post which was made 5:58 went in the middle of thread :D

Because i accepted it as an answer.

Answers go to the top, below the topic.

  • "Accept your loss or stfu."

Okay, guess what: These aren't Killers who announced the change, it's the developers.

Meaning, once they get a change they like, it'll go through.

    So accept your loss.

Now i might be wrong, but my guess is that you don't want that sentence to apply to you.

  • That's not my name.

I'm talking about that you didn't buy an actual product, you bought the rights to use said product.

It's like you buy the right to drive someone's car because, idk, you like the comfortable seats.

But if they change the seats to something they prefer, you can't stop it cause it's not your car.

Also, it's Whatcha', or What ya', not both.

  • You bought a license, not an actual product.

You agreed to this aspect of DbD when first playing.

that's fine, Dr. Bing Bong is my favorite too.

if you are anything like me your stock of Swift Hunt/Windstorm are pretty low and you have tons of these stupid addons that you don't know what to do with.

that's why i like these builds, they are unexpected combinations of perks and addons that really seem to perplex survivors.

I would love to hear your experience with the builds. if any of them exceeded your expectations, or if your survivors all dc'd, or if you got a 4k when you thought you were gonna lose, or anything really.

I did like bringing something new.

Just not doing Save The Best For Last alone felt fresh.

    Nurse Philip was alright.

The rank reset put me pretty low, so spreading damage wasn't too hard.

    Ruin was gone quickly though.

Slug-Storm is very simply just not my style.

    I'm not a slugger.

Infectious Fright is really good at what it does, but that's about the only positive thing for me in that one.

    Dr. BB was surprisingly good.

They hear the Terror Radius, but INSIST on repairing until they see me.

Then Skill Checks start failing pretty hard.

Like i said before, the reset did put me pretty low, so i suspect this won't have the same efficiency at all, but it was fun for today at least.

    • #1: Dr. Bing Bong
    • #2: Nurse Philip
    • #3: Slug-Storm
  • I don't mind MoM.

I mind it when combined with all other Perks & Items that give these small advantages.

Cause you add them all up, and then they don't seem so small anymore.

as a wraith main i have come up with several builds that i run when I'm tired of running BBQ, Ruin, Enduring, Spirit Fury. please try them out and let me know what you think

each build has been tailored to use some of his worst addons, enjoy!

    Dr. Bing Bong

Perks: Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Overcharge, Free Slot

Addons: The Beast (brown), Shadow Dance (green or purple)

Strategy: weaponize your terror radius and confuse your enemies, go for the 3 gen, and ninja kick every generator.

    Nurse Philip

Perks: Nurse's Calling, Ruin, Thanatophobia, Free Slot

Addons: The Hound (brown), Blind Warrior (green)

Strategy: Guerilla tactics, hit and run to slow the game down, and track them easily by their blood or catch them healing.

    Slug-Storm

Perks: Knock Out, Infectious Fright, Brutal Strength, Free Slot

Addons: Blind Warrior (yellow), All Seeing (purple)

Strategy: Blind and slug everyone, infectious fright is crazy strong here, burn through pallets and keep your survivors looking for your slugs. BE PREPARED FOR SALT.

I don't like bringing bad news, but unfortunately i only liked Dr. BIng Bong.

Glad that you have fun with them, they're just not for me. 😊

It's a(nother) sound bug. Hooks will keep the "hooked survivor" noises even when the survivor is unhooked.

You don't even need to hook anyone to produce the noise, it's just there

Well you put a lot into this.

Got no choice then, i'll have to try them.

I can't do that anymore right now, but i SWEAR i'll come back to you tomorrow with results! πŸ€—

  • @Kiskashi said:

@Boss Not gonna lie, I didn't even notice this half haste was a thing until recently and I use this perk A LOT. The fact that it literally makes no noticeable difference until 3rd hooking is a little much (considering current totem placements can make this perk a little too RNG even if it is more sneaky than ruin). I just looked at the old notes on the wiki too. Gen progression penalty at 2 tokens what?? (sounds good but probably caused them to find it sooner) At least a speed boost wouldn't be that noticeable or detrimental (to your totem that is)

The speed boost would also make it more viable but not OP especially when you compare it to NOEDs haste (which is constant until destroyed)

In comparison, i guess in the current state of the game, i would prefer the crappy Haste over the old repair debuff, as i'd lose the Hex Totem in the next minute without being a full-on bodyguard.

Being better than something else doesn't excuse it from being a terrible ability though.

I also have a pretty good guess on why this won't be touched for at least another year: It provides 2 insane abilities already. Why would they buff it more?

I wasn't really being that specific with it, meaning just the general idea of a token system. So even if we each have slightly different versions of what each of us would mean by a token system it would still be generally an agreement. The specific details can be hammered out later.

    Fair enough.

  • @Kiskashi said:

@Boss 2 token permanent speed boost (until totem is broken) when? 10s after a hooking really? It'd be nice as it generally gets found by token 3 anyway

I dislike that it's so incredibly situational.

Only once in a thousand blue moons will you be able to profit from a 10-second 5% increase.

Naturally, i'd like for it to be more useful, but if they got rid of it entirely, at least it won't look like they only slapped it on so that each Perk level is unique.

  • I disagree with Pop Goes The Weasel.

Not that it should be Token based, but that you said enough.

Because what i imagine could very well differ from what you imagine.

  • You don't own Nurse?

She's free and should be standard.

Not to be mean, but since you state you're new, i suspect you don't know you have her.

Stealth is avoiding the Killer, but still getting work done(gens, Unhooks, etc.)

Immersed is sneaking everywhere and moving very slowly(usually crouched) and getting nothing done. Especially when the Killer is obviously elsewhere. Watch Vinc3ant Vega's Scaredette videos on YT. He does it for the memes, but that is pretty much what immersed sums up as.

    This pretty much.

You can watch PainReliever's videos, he prefers the stealth approach.

  • I think all forum mains know by now you want #1. πŸ˜‹

I want the impossible: I want Devour Hope's 2-Token ability to actually do something.

  • Congrats!

  • @AntiJelly said:

    @Boss

    Yes.

There's a set of add-ons that increase the power's reduction multiplicatively, and one specific Rare add-on that increases the power's reduction by a flat 25%.

    Alrighty.

  • @AntiJelly said:

    @Boss @ShrekIsHot

On the contrary, the longest a gen could take is with Dying Light, Thanataphobia, and Dream World with add-ons.

    • A gen requires 80 charges (/ 80)
    • Dying light reduces by 0.25c/s (1.0-0.25)
    • Thanataphobia tier III with all injured reduces by 0.16c/s (1.0-0.16)
    • Dream World reduces by 0.5c/s (1.0-0.5)
    • Add-ons directly modify the Dream World reduction. "Jump Rope" reduces by 20%, meaning 20% of 50%, so the Dream World reduction actually turns to a 0.6c/s reduction.
    • The Add-on "Swing Chains" adds a flat -25% reduction to the Dream World reduction. This makes it a 0.85c/s reduction.

    The equation:

    80 / ((1.0) * (1.0 - 0.25) * (1.0 - 0.16) * (1.0 - 0.85)) = 846.56

This makes a gen take ~846.56 seconds. 14 minutes.

Do those Add-ons really stack in that way?

  • We have come far.

I'll never forget Howling Grounds though.

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

Yes, more lore that the Entity is becoming more prevalent in this realm. The Entity is probably tired of the DCs and not being able to properly eat survivors XD

I think it should get pulled into the ground by entity tendrils. Far creepier.

EGC did introduce Entity from the ground.

He becomes invisible; that is in no way related to being intangible. And yes, it would be OP. Just look at Nurse for reference.

To be fair, Nurse can attack immediately after going through something.

Wraith still needs to uncloak, which could give them the time to get to the nearest window/pallet.

guess you missed @Frozenscum 's post then, which I voted up to correct/balance, honestly these are personal opinions on fun...just wait long enough, the down voters will approach any minute. You've tempted them now @Boss

I don't call a Vote Down an attack, that's moreso just sharing your opinion.

    Things'll get SPICY now!

  • I like how no one has "attacked" anyone's tier list yet.

    So wholesome! πŸ€—

    ...

That totally jinxed it btw, i'm expecting a Vote Down on my list now.

  • Respect for giving him his own tier name.

*writes stuff here because "Body is 2 characters too short."*

  • Can he go through floors?

It's an important question cause there's multi-floor buildings and especially the map The Game.

Also devs don't care about realism if it makes the gameplay unbalanced.

  • To your last question, i recommend neither choice.

If you can, try it more.

I grew used to it, though that's not me saying they're doing the right things to you.

I just focus on the good as much as possible, maybe that can help you too.

So regarding the Bunny Feng outfit, it's more complex than it looks. So basically, the body of a character is separate in 3 parts Bottom, Torso and Head. So if we want to do Bunny Feng the hoodie has to fit with any other torso and sadly at the moment it's impossible.

    Bunny ears without hoodie confirmed.

  • Leather Boots

    • Increases the movement speed of the Dash attack slightly/moderately/considerably/whateverably
  • It's fine if not, but can you show me the maximum speed possible with Left Behind? 😊

  • I also prefer a simple, strong Killer.

So that they can do all kinds of original stuff with their Add-ons.

You can do many things with Wraith now, and Shape is the prime example of changing things up.

  • But if they're purposely sweating, then they're not trying to be fresh.

So there's no price to pay.

    /thread

  • Devour Hope: Once you get your 5th Token, anyone running the Perk Hope won't be able to use it.

  • Well the middle picture definitely looks like a Paint job.

  • So you want to buff it *20?

    Holy moly.

  • I feel like my time won't be wasted.

  • @gantes said:

All the other perks to slow the game down are objectively worse.

With Thanatophobia, you need 4 injured survivors to slow down a generator from 80 to 95 seconds iirc. Sloppy Butcher is only for healing.

Discordance falls flat if people play optimally and don't repair generators together. Devour Hope is a gigantic gamble and makes the game even more snowball reliant. And I don't think recommending noed to become a better player is even reasonable.

Ruin is the most reliable way of slowing the game down, even if it's, well, not reliable. I have seen very few players, even among streamers, who hit greats literally all the time. For each good skill check you hit, you lose ~4s. If someone activelly looks for the totem, the perk already paid for itself, because anything that takes survivors off generators is a blessing, even if for 30ish seconds. Even if they hit all greats they're still losing time. The flat amount of time it saves you merely by existing is worth a perk slot by itself, especially because killer's aren't exactly stacked on powerful perks. There are good perks, but when you compare it to survivors there's a lot less versatility. The opportunity cost for running Ruin is negligible when compared to the opportunity cost for survivors when choosing their perks.

It's not reliable but it's the best we have. Other options are either downright weaker or even more reliant on survivor mistakes.

Reason why there's not many good others is more than likely cause they're afraid of a powerful combination with Ruin.

  • Sure thing, I can still Wraith-bait the Hatch with this nerf.

  • Return the favor?

Didn't the Survivor side start by canceling the Self Care nerf?

  • I REALLY hope they don't eventually come out and say: "It's just like how we balance Exit Gate spawns: Sometimes the Hex Totem's nowhere to be found, sometimes you can see it from the right angle on a hill from the other side of the map."

I ran H:DH non-stop on everyone ever since i got Hag's Teachable, but i'd stop that just to protest.

  • I never felt a NEED to run it.

My game's are fine outside of genrush + efficient loopers.
