ah makes sense, im just lazy and didn’t want to do the math myself lol. probably gonna refrain using ai in general if this is how others feel about it
Don’t bother. I’ll more than make up for it. I probably ask Grok 1,000+ things a day. Bought the membership and everything for unlimited chat. I just be chatting with it lol, very fun to use.

imagine facecamping 2 survivors on a hook at the same time🤣
Face camping isn’t possible anymore

I think there are much cooler things that can be done. Like finding spark plugs and ignition cables in order to start working on a generator. But then decrease the time it takes to complete one after that since you have to find stuff for it. The current blood can things is still very boring imo.

I get motion sickness easily. Nurse has always triggered it.
Curious how your experience is so vastly different
I literally have no clue. Just lost 11 more matches sense this post. Even with 4 slowdowns. I’m watching Otzdarva and Scott and trying to do what they do. It seems like even they lose almost every gen in every match.
To be quite frank it must be a skill issue on my part but I say he’s B Tier at best now. Getting downs is next to impossible on the vast majority of maps.
I’m definitely going to make a video of all my losses put together. I don’t see how I can play any better than what I do.
-
@Pulsar said:
Just because you can't get value out of him doesn't mean he isn't strong lol
As an example, I cannot play Nurse. We just don't work well together and I can't get a handle on her.
That hardly means she isn'f the best Killer, just that I can't play her.
You can’t play Nurse? I feel like you could if you really tried. She’s much easier than Kaneki.
He’s definitely not a free win like survivors are claiming or else I would be winning for free. Getting downs are impossible even when catching up and canceling my power. Literally perfect timing but it doesn’t matter because there are 1,000 pallets and windows chained together.
He’s only oppressively strong on bigger maps with few pallets. Other than that he’s pretty mediocre when it comes to getting downs honestly. There is no improving that I see I can do from watching videos. He’s just not that good at securing downs if survivors have one singular brain cell.

I mean, to me it sounds like you're misplaying; if someone is doing that then you should take advantage of the mobility and drop chase. Hyperfocusing one survivor is a sure way to lose even with Blight or Nurse. What the Ghoul really excels at is creating deadzones, and guess what happens then? You have to cross to new tiles if a chase starts and then you can use the speed to block off. Not even counting when the vaulting is useful.
I don't think they're OP when people start playing with some level of awareness and skill, but that level of performance very much sounds like a problem with your playing. And maybe MMR.
How I play works on every single killer in the game except Legion, Ken and Houndmaster so idk the right strat. Regardless this killer isn’t even remotely close to overpowered if I can’t easily win.
Survivors are on here saying he takes zero skill and it’s a free win. So where are my free wins? I’d like to have them before he gets nerfed. That would be dope.
-
If we want to use Nightlight stats then Huntress needs some heavy buffs because she is in the bottom 5 for kill rates.

Not an argument, completely different killers that have different things.
Also, Bubba and Hillbilly has counterplay - Kaneki does not.
Either remove the hit scan or remove the auto aim. Just because you're console doesn't mean the game needs to handhold you for aiming purposes.
Edit: who wants to respond rather than downvote?
Survivors get handheld according to these forums, but it's okay a killer to be handheld - make it make sense. 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
You’re taking downvotes to serious. They literally mean nothing at all.
Kaneki absolutely has counterplay. Play 5 matches of him right now and tell me what the survivors do. I’m sure you won’t get a 4k every time. I’m sure you will struggle unless you go against baby survivors.
He’s just like Legion. First hit is free. Second hit is almost impossible to get unless they are in a dead zone.
He’s A tier at best.

The problem is once you hit a player half the chase is over and his mobility is still superior to other killers and he pressure attack is A tier.
If Hillbilly and Bubba hit you once, the ENTIRE chase is over.

"weak killers"
If they are weak, then why would people play them? This is gonna sound crazy but stick with me. People like the power and find it fun! Trapper is weak. That’s a fact. He is awful. But people find placing traps fun.
-
4 of the Top 5 most used killer perks are gen regression still. Many killers still believe it’s impossible to win without slowdown. Really the only killer that uses aura constantly is Huntress. Every other killer will use like 1-2 aura perks.
I would rather use a mix but all the gen regression is out much worthless. I hit a gen with pain res and it pops 5 seconds later so what’s the point?
-
I find it funny perks like this exist. Great against weak killers and horrible against strong ones. The perk design team needs an overhaul.
-
Yup. It’s just survivors who are bad at the game and want easy wins. His first hit is impossible to stop but if you have literally ONE singular brain cell you should be able to loop him like legion after that.
Unfortunately survivors don’t even have one brain cell. 4 man outted him 3 times in a row today. Popped all gens every single match but 3. I put him A tier at best.
Had some matches where I wiped the floor with survivors and had some matches where landing right next to a survivor and cancelling meant nothing because there were a zillion pallets nearby.
He’ll get nerfed though for sure. If Huntress moving 10% faster while holding a hatchet (still the slowest moving charge speed in the game) got reverted then he most certainly will get gutted soon.
-
The old maps atmosphere was the best honestly. The signs were better too minus the infinites and stuff. They severely downgraded a lot of stuff through the years.
-
My problem with content creators is some of them blatantly lying for clicks and getting away with it. The bigger content creators get away with it for free too.

How do you possibly plan on regulating it
You wouldn’t regulate it. If survivors wanted to have fun they would use proxy chat. Sweat lords would still use discord. Banning Discord would be impossible anyways. You could use a phone or another computer.

This game would be 100x more fun if survivors had proximity chat instead of Discord. Anyone who disagrees is in full blown denial/cope mode

Im sorry, but how can you defend this?
Currently "bias" appears to be how people are defending this.
If killers could be blinded through walls, obstacles, and ceilings, people would be burning the forums down to get the obvious bug fixed.
No one with an ounce of integrity would say that's a skill issue, or even that it's clearly intended. But the "non functional, broken thing" benefits them in this case, so it gets blindly defended.
That’s not even remotely true. Flashbangs were broken and uncounterable for literal months if not years and there was outrage but not “burning the forums down” and survivors defended that and continued to use them even though they were objectively broken and unfair.
Literally Flashbangs were exploits with no counter besides lightborn. And we dealt with it. Kaneki’s hits through walls look outrageous but they have to exist by the nature of his power and all the clutter on the map. And the higher ping he has the worse it will look.

Oh, wow, someone who chooses to downplay the ability of the perk by what I can only assume is intentional ignorance.
When you run a couple matches with the "Most weakest perk in the game" and find yourself getting downed before you can get to a pallet, then, you can ride that horse all day long. This perk has never once made a difference. It will never and I mean NEVER stop you from getting to a loop if you know where it’s at. If you don’t make it, then you weren’t gonna make it anyways. 5% is irrelevant. It should be 10%

I’ll humor you, What if I downloaded the game yesterday and played it for the first time ever, but I’ve played enough fps to know that speedier reloads/ quick draws make a huge difference and has in every single fps I’ve played that does that? Does that make my opinion as a consumer any less significant?
I’ll humor you again what if I’ve never touched a ranged killer even once, and I’m just thinking about the new survivors or solo experience because boosting that might help them at the top for ranged killers, but you’re also boosting the lower end ranged killers with that as well, making new/solo even worse and putting even more of the burden of experience on them. Would that be an unjust analytical observation?

If it helps you sleep at night here’s pretty much where I stand, and about how long I’ve been around.
FPS game logic does not apply so yes your opinion isn’t worth the same. The ranged killers in this game have wind up times in the seconds whereas shooters are in 1/4th of a second. These ranged killers are also projectile based meaning there weapons have travel time. FPS games consist almost entirely of Hitscan which means no leading at all, as soon as you pull the trigger you hit your target if your on it.
None of the ranged killers in this game are strong enough to warrant even more nerfs to them. The best is Huntress and almost every single person who plays this game at a high level puts her in B Tier at best. New survivors need to get better not have the game dumbed down to match them.
1,400 hours isn’t a lot for a game that’s been out nearly a decade. And if you haven’t played ranged killers at all or even a little than no, you shouldn’t be suggesting things like that. You should run that idea by people who play ranged killers a lot and at high levels to see what they think of you don’t want to play them and find out for yourself.

Why fix what isn't broken man, Huntress is a simple and straightforward killer that is known and loved and hated, just leave the poor woman be and let her throw her hatchets man.
TWO KILLERS. TWO! Her original version would still exist. You would have to select a separate version of her to play as the Bodark. She would be on the roster TWICE!!! We need a Werewolf killer. She would be perfect for it and it would be interesting to try and figure out which version of her you’re going against.

Can’t wait to get a Werewolf killer that’s just a hairy man. Literally the same thing as calling her a pirate.

Ive been leveling up dracula for a while and have him at 98 and im fairly good with him so far. But one thing ive noticed is his best addons are all green. Half the purple ones dont do much or are very situational, and his red addons are quite useless.
What i mean by useless is that you don't ever get value from them infact you hinder yourself by using them.
The ring addon says the pillars will turn towards survivors at the cost of 1 less range. But i have yet to see it curve in any way at all unless its like a whole 2 degrees. I think it could be changed maybe to just increase the size of the pillars at the cost of 1 range that way it actualy has more of a chance to hit people like the current addon intends but doesn't deliver on.
As for the shield addon, the only time youd ever have it used is if youve alredy lost so hard the gates got opened, then they can just dodge through the pillars anyway, and if you arent right on them as they open the door, they could easily just crawl out even if they went down. To make this addon more usefull, keep the current effects but add an effect where if anyone gets hit by 1 pillar within the exit gate, then the gates get blocked for something short like 10-15 seconds. As that would give you time to reach the door if you are away from it, and be able to catch someone if they are all healthy going through the gate.
Never gonna happen. Huntress and Pyramid head have some of the worst Ultra Rares in the game and their players have been begging for changes for literal years at this point and we got nothing.
Their Ultra Rares aren’t even worth being a Brown. 115% when out of hatchets? Ultra Rare? Really?

If want to just shoot fish in a barrel because that’s what buffing his reload and stuff will do just so it “feels better”, without adding more los breakers on certain maps *cough cold wind cough* * cough any corridor cough* sorry my allergies are acting up. I’m just allergic to some things. Anyways might as well just stand under a hook when you load in if they buff that and don’t look at some maps against some of the ranged killers. Yes MORE.
To be quite frank, it’s very clear you haven’t played old DBD. Huge LOS and survivors were still much stronger back then vs now. Asking for more LOS breakers is literal insanity considering you went from 10-15 a map to well over 50-100+ a map. I can tell you dont play ranged killers.

More LOS breakers?! MORE?! I know you aren’t asking for my opinion but the vast majority of maps have quite literally 20x the amount of LOS breakers than it did 4 years ago.
Makes most ranged killers borderline unplayable. Slinger included.

- The soldiers in her lore call her a Bodark -
Humans have always mislabeled things they don't understand as monsters. That's how so many myths and folktales were created.
- She has black eyes (Bodarks have black eyes)
Many killers have black eyes. Such as Clown, Artist, and Bubba. It's a sign of the Entity's influence.
- The Blighted outfit is her transforming into a Bodark (blighted serum is stated to bring out what you really are)
Yes the serum brings out the worst in you, hence why it makes Huntress more animalistic, but that's not indicative that she was a werewolf before injection. It doesn't state that she is becoming a Bodark or were-creature in the outfit's description.
- Werewolf charm for her says “a disguise that fits her too well”
I haven't seen that charm so I can't comment on it well, but it's also just a charm. Not really the finest piece of lore if you ask me, but still, I'll give it to you.
- Superhuman feats (running through flamethrower, killing platoons of soldiers, grizzly bear
Many killers commit superhuman acts in their lore. There's no way that Trapper and Nurse could feasibly kill so many people for instance. Either it's Behavior's exaggerated storytelling, or the Entity assisting them. It doesn't mean that Huntress is a Bodark.
- Survived in the forest as a kid (literally impossible for a normal human child)
There have been many stories of people doing just this though? It's certainly not easy sure, but Huntress wasn't just dropped in the forest as an infant, she was given training by her mother.
- Hooked on You has references to it
I haven't played Hooked On You or seen much about, but it's also a goofy spin-off where killers are running around in swimsuits. Once again, not the finest place to get lore from in my opinion, but I'll take your word for it.
I'm not saying that Behavior hasn't made some small pokes and winks to Huntress being a werewolf, but it's not mentioned at all in her original lore and clearly was not their intention when creating the character. I am genuinely not trying to come off as rude in anyway, but I think this is something that people are only believing in to make Huntress seem "cooler" and more modern.
No child has ever survived in the Forest alone ever before for any real length of time. Even full grown adults die out in the Forest very often. No child would live out there especially in during a Russian winter. It’s literally impossible.
Trapper collapsed a mine on his workers very easy thing for any human who owns a mine to do. Nothing superhuman about that. Although I would say he’s superhuman now after being tortured by the entity with all the hooks and stuff. Nurse killed asylum patients which again is very easy for a normal human to do. Smother them in their sleep, inject them with drugs and so on.
Again superhuman feats from her at least proves she’s not human BEFORE the entity takes her. Killers can have black eyes for different reasons just because others have it doesn’t mean it can’t be evidence for her being one.
You really can’t rationally label her as a normal human. Not to mention she’s almost 8 feet tall and throws her 6-8lb hatchets at 115 mph.
I’ve been saying this for years and I haven’t seen many other people ever agree so I don’t think a bunch of people are making it up to make her more interesting. It’s not factual but there’s far more evidence putting towards it than away from it.

@AmpersandUnderscore said:
They're approaching with this issue backwards imo. Treating the effect, and not the root cause isn't going to change anything.
The best hope is to address why people give up on hook, at least some of the reason. The biggest being that the meta is not allowing survivors to actually play the game.
Hopefully, the anti camp, anti tunnel, and anti slug they've announced will do something, anything meaningful to address those issues, and the problem should lessen.
But they're implementing this in phase 2, while "anti go next" is phase 1. So I guess we'll see.
You definitely need to punish giving up on hook and not try to find and fix why they do it. People will give up on hook because it’s a Huntress. How do you fix that? You can’t. Everybody is different and certain people simply don’t want to play against certain killers. That can’t be fixed, no matter what you do.

I feel like you're really oversimplifying the idea of a werewolf. Blight is a man who is otherwise intelligent, but is reduced to sprinting around like a reckless animal with a stance that is nearly quadrupedal. He very intentionally plays on the same ideas as werewolves, he is a human deprived of his dignity and rationality by an animalistic pursuit of sustenance— In his case, the pustula serum rather than flesh, but that's just one of the ways BHVR has made him a werewolf without him being a direct 1:1 cartoon character werewolf, a reinterpretation of the concept rather than a dry, beat-by-beat replay of the idea. They do this with Oni, who is a take on vampires as a bloodsucking noble, the Plague, who is a divinely ordained, wrapped walking corpse that's an interesting take on mummies in horror. Blight's no different.
We’re not gonna make any progress here. He is nowhere near a Werwolf. He isn’t affected by the moon. He isn’t weak to silver. He doesn’t look like one in any way. He ISNT quadrupedal (not even close)
He is his own unique character.

It's a hypothetically less complex power but it is MUCH more convoluted. "Yeah, this killer sometimes turns into a dog." "Why?" "I don't know." Vecna and Dracula can do a lot, but you explain "This guy casts a few spells, and this guy turns into animals" and that makes a lot more sense than "Huntress is sometimes not Huntress, but instead Huntress that turns into a dog."
Also, Blight only fails on one level— He is not LITERALLY a wolf. If that is your SOLE point, sure, if your only qualifier is "turns into an actual dog", Then he's not. But he is in every way meant to BE a werewolf.
Huntress would not turn in a dog lmao. It would be a Bipedal Werewolf. A Wolf and Werewolf are two ENTIRELY different things. It wouldn’t be convoluted at all either. It’s very simple.
Blight has no similarities at all I’m not sure if you are looking at Blight or maybe your thinking of Draculas wolf form.
Blight doesn’t resemble a Werewolf in any way at all and the examples you provided to substantiate your claim all don’t make any sense at all.
He doesn’t Move, Look, act, behave, resemble, or represent a Werewolf in any way. He is a mad scientist who went insane after taking his own compound and honestly comparing him to a Werewolf undermines his character very heavily and is insulting to his design. He is his own very unique and dope entity that doesn’t resemble anything else.

Nope, absolutely not. I just came up with a unique disguise transforming killer idea and everyone hated it because it would be too complicated for new survivors. It wasn’t as simple and straightforward as Draculas 3 transformations and Vecnas 4 spells and 6 magical items.
This community just wants the same killers on repeat with different skins and no unique gimmicks I guess.

The werewolf archetype is way too big of an opportunity to be just Huntress reimagined.
If they do make one, they will likely create an entirely new character for it.
That would be incredibly lame. It would be much more fun for survivors to think it was one killer and then it transforms.
-
@QwQw said:
I'm very confused about this whole "Huntress is a werewolf" thing I've seen recently. Nothing about her lore, appearance, or power hints at her being some kind of were-creature. If anything, I think that actually undermines her character. She's supposed to a skilled survivalist and hunter living off the land who takes trinkets and trophy's from her pray, slowly forgetting her childhood and humanity overtime, not some supernatural monster that kills everything in sight. While she does have the Wereelk skin, nothing about it states that it's Ana, and seeing how it has a male voice, I seriously doubt it's her. I believe it's meant to be the Entity's twisted personification of the elk that killed her mother.
That aside, I am surprised we haven't gotten a wereworlf killer yet, since it's such classic horror concept. The Blight is thematically very similar to one, but I still think there's quite a lot of room for an actual werewolf. When/if they do make one, however, I hope it's not connected to Huntress at all and is instead it's own unique character.
I already listed the countless examples and references in her lore that point to it. It’s quite literally impossible for her to be a human.

A)Behaviour cares. DbD is already a very uninviting game for new players, they don't want to make that worse. The experience of learning a game is way more important than you seem to realize. Also, it really wouldn't be— Dracula and Vecna have powers with a lot going on, but that's something that you can reasonably learn through playing against them. How is a new player supposed to learn "Yeah, we put this killer in the game twice for some reason, and she transforms some of the time just because"?
B)I feel like if we were to get a second werewolf killer, based around transforming during the match, you'd want that to be a central mechanic. If not, it should just be an intro animation. Nothing more. No reason to make her a ranged character for a random amount of time.
C)There are multiple arguments against it and that line makes me wonder if I'm getting baited or something.
D)Blight's already a werewolf and insisting he isn't doesn't make him stop being the werewolf killer.
Huntress being a Werewolf is literally at least 5x less complicated than Vecna and Dracula. It’s a Huntress? 2 minutes into the match is it still a Huntress? No? Oh so it’s a werewolf. Meanwhile Vecna has Flight of the damned, dispelling sphere, fly and mage hand. Chests the you roll a dice on that have interloper boots, interloper gauntlets, the hand of Vecna, the eye of Vecna, all of which do very confusing and niche things to counter his abilities in small ways.
When I say there is no good argument I mean for its complexity. It’s not even close to overly complex.
And no, no matter how hard you reach Blight is nowhere near a Werewolf. Doesn’t look like one, doesn’t act like one, doesn’t move like one and isn’t one. No real case can be made for that. Zero similarities.

No. I think it's interesting to have a killer that is a werewolf, but I don't think the power should surround the idea of "pretending to be another killer." There are only 2 ways that could go, extremely useless or way too confusing. Given the fact that the community already doesn't seem to know how half the killer roster works, I'm leaning towards in practice it being way too confusing to deal with. I can already see the reports flooding of people "hacking" when in reality they're just playing the killer. Also it would mean when you are facing the killer that is usually the one the werewolf is usually mimicking, people won't trust it making that killer likely stronger indirectly, assuming they know have the werewolf killer worked.
Edit: Also, can you point out where in her lore it points to her being a werewolf/bodark creature? I see that she's territorial and violent in her lore, but she also grew up in the middle of nowhere and her mom died when she was young so I don't entirely see where she comes off as a werewolf.
- The soldiers in her lore call her a Bodark
- She has black eyes (Bodarks have black eyes)
- The Blighted outfit is her transforming into a Bodark (blighted serum is stated to bring out what you really are)
- Werewolf charm for her says “a disguise that fits her too well”
- Superhuman feats (running through flamethrower, killing platoons of soldiers, grizzly bear
- Survived in the forest as a kid (literally impossible for a normal human child)
- Hooked on You has references to it
Theres more but I don’t really care to list them all. It’s very obvious that she isn’t human.

Is it really a great idea if it would mainly cause confusion among players and be a mere gimmick otherwise? Huntress doesn't need to turn into a literal animal to be a valid take on the concept.
Also, even ignoring that, is your suggestion that the killer would start the match as the Huntress as a powerless 115% killer, or as the 110% ranged killer? The former remains a gimmick, the latter removes the need for regular Huntress to exist at all.
Who cares if new people are confused? You don’t think a new person is confused about Vecnas 45 abilities and 5 magical items with very niche counters? Or Dracula’s turning into a bat and a Wolf? Give me a break. This would be way less confusing than that.
She would be a 110% ranged killer that transforms into a Bodark and can’t change back. Meaning if you want to play a ranged killer you wouldn’t pick that version of her because you would lose you ranged ability when you transform. You could put it on a random timer so survivors wouldn’t know exactly if it was the Bodark or not until she transforms. And she would stay transformed permanently.
This is in fact a great idea and awesome killer concept that has a small amount of deception involved. There is literally no argument to stand on for it to not be a killer. We don’t have a werewolf killer, Blight isn’t even close and we should have one. Simple.

The Werewolf would only “Mimic” Huntress because it IS her. People would not think they are hacking lmao, they would look it up.
Even if they did think it was cheats should we throw away a great idea just because baby players would be slightly confused?

The game already has a dedicated monstrous werewolf. It's the Blight, who in every way except actually being a dog is an allusion to Universal's The Wolf Man, from 1941. His power is more or less the exact running-on-all-fours ability you describe too.
Blight isn’t even close to a Werewolf. Literally in no way can be compared to a Werewolf genuinely lmao😂

I started going back into lithe especially with quick and quiet being buffed again soon, I get sick of killers who refuse to break a pallet and has to bl 3 me so now I use lithe to punish them for it. Break the pallet bro( not saying you op just speaking in general).
Another thing is pallet stun then immediately lithe unless killer has enduring, they tend to swing which is a auto miss and they totally lose you xd, perfect way to ruin dredge ant loop.
That almost never happens to you though so why bring a build for it. According to Bhvrs stats killers reach Tier 3 bloodlust in 6% of games. Hardly a reason to make a build for something that almost never happens.

Why do we as killers complain about Deja Vu being strong with its 6% gen speed but then say dying light is garbage when it only takes two hooks to slow the whole team down by 6%? It’s a very overrated perk that is very good.

No, no , no. It’s a literal get out of jail free card. I call it Crutch Hard for a reason. Made a huge mistake and are about to go down? Crutch Hard. Killer caught up to you after 45 minutes of W Key? Crutch Hard. Huntress throwing a hatchet at you? Crutch Hard. You can’t fake throw a hatchet!
A free health state on command shouldn’t even exist imo. Getting hit by it never feels fair. “Oh. So I outplayed the survivor is every single way but it’s entirely irrelevant because they have Crutch Hard? Got it!”

I think it's important to consider the other perspective when it comes to opinions on balancing changes too. People do not have to be experienced in playing a certain killer to have plenty of experience playing against them. Those opinions are also perfectly valid, the killer player isn't the only player in the equation.
It's important to take all of these opinions into account, while also noting their potential biases, in order to achieve a well-rounded discussion.
Honestly if you haven’t played both as and against a killer you think needs nerfed you shouldn’t have a say on the balance of that character. I thought Mikey and Trapper were insanely overpowered until I played them. I never should’ve been taken seriously in any kind of way about the balance of those characters.
I thought Huntress was S Tier until I put a lot of time into her and finally got paired against good survivors and realized that she actually isn’t anywhere near S Tier.
People even made posts to revert all of the changes for her on the PTB and they never even played against her new version on the PTB because they were console players. How are you allowed to give PTB feedback without playing the PTB?
Rambling about that atrocity aside. My point is nobody gives a rats ahh about playtime. “I’m top 500 Huntress mains worldwide and somebody with 5 hours will tell me I suck and it’s a skill issue on my part if I try to say anything.
