I mean, some people will always have differing opinions to yours (or your favourite streamer's), and they are entitled to have them, regardless of the difference in expertise.

No argument there, everyone can have their own opinions. It’s just sad that we had 6 of the biggest content creators who mained her all agree that the changes were fine (except for hatchet count) but we had an overwhelming amount of people complain so it got reverted anyways.

The loud majority who hardly played her won over the people who have the most time on her.

I mean, just because someone has 5k hours doesn’t mean they can’t be wrong.

Yes that’s true but there opinions is 100x more valuable and valid than someone who has ZERO hours on a character. Ralph thought the changes were fine too and he has 6k hours on her. I’m 100% listening to them over some person who has played her 5 times. Just saying.

If that kind of time input into a character is meaningless then what’s the point? What’s far more likely is that those guys are right any the others are wrong.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

    Not necessarily.

It is technically possible to get P100 on a character without playing them a single time, since bloodpoints can be spent on anyone. However, P100ing a character is a pretty big dedication, and likely indicates that they have at least a good amount of experience with the character. It's not entirely indicative, though, more of a correlation.

Playtime on a specific character is a far more reliable metric. I'm not a Legion expert because I chose to P100 them, I'm a Legion expert because I've been consistently maining them for 5 years.

Playtime is completely irrelevant to this community. Coco has 5k hours on Huntress and everybody flamed him for saying the Huntress buffs were fine.

Meanwhile people who never played her before said she was OP and needed to be nerfed and everyone agreed with them.

The only thing that matters is “does this person opinion benefit my side?” So no playtime doesn’t matter even remotely to the vast majority of the community.

  • Top 500 Huntress main in the world and I played against a team where every survivor had more than 9,000 hours and won

The next match had a survivor with 91 hours.

    There’s your answer

  • Stopped playing it a long time ago. Kind of sad that I have to go to the default game mode to have a less sweaty match than the fun mode.

It just goes to show that both sides don’t really care about fun that much and really mainly care about winning

  • @SoGo said:

    Sounds like a bug.

It’s not. It’s designed like that because they are plank fences so it matches the aesthetic. Been like that ever since launch the maps launch. Survivors are down voting it because they want to keep the unfair advantage.

Groaning Storehouse's window spawns never change..? There's always one by the gen inside and then another by the shelves and lockers. There used to be different window spawns but theyve been removed years ago.

Well whatever, the window that doesn’t have a breakable wall next to it is absurdly strong.

  • They need to let us create our own survivors and just sell perks and cosmetic pieces that fit preset body types.

I’m not seeing anyone say it so I will, Dracula needs some type of changes to tune him down. Hellfire is fine but is insane at zoning, bat form gives him crazy unconditional map mobility and wolf is just busted. Let me get this straight, I can dodge his hellfire and “make distance” only for Dracula to go into wolf form and instantly catch up with free haste and a very forgiving pounce ability? It’s just stupid. There’s a reason why Dracula players use wolf 75% of the match, it gives them free haste while also lowering the already low pounce cooldown. The growls the wolf makes when picking up the scent orbs is the exact same as when he’s charging a pounce so it gives free zoning since survivors preemptively dodge thinking you’re about to pounce and the size of the pounce is the size of a dropped pallet. I’m tired of people saying wolf is a joke when all the draculas I run into always use wolf and even the main Dracula player (im not going to name drop) thinks wolf is his best form. I just find it so dumb how I can successfully dodge one of his abilities only for Dracula to transform into another whole different power 0.5 seconds after and get a hit. What’s the point of dodging when they have another ability in their back pocket? There’s a reason Dracula is a top 5 killer because he has 3 above average abilities that are almost good enough to be their own killer powers.

I don’t understand people who complain about zoning. The vast majority of the time being zoned is the survivors fault unless they are about to be locked into a vulnerable animation.

I’ve watched people get zoned from 20 meters away while being at full health and it’s ridiculous, just fake once or twice and commit. If you get hit you get huge distance on top of how far away you are already.

People cry about zoning against Huntress as if she doesn’t move 23% slower than a survivor. If you get zoned in the open that’s on you. Demo can zone at 115% which is crazy and Dracula has a 7 second cool down so it’s fine.

  • @Langweilig said:

It still won’t change ######### about his performance. It doesn’t matter what speed he has if is power is the same.

I don’t think you understand how a 110 killer functions. He will have to use his power for almost every hit or he will lose way more. It forces Blight players to not just M1 and run a loop normally like a lot of them do.

Forcing them to actually use his power and learn flicks.

  • @Langweilig said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3899458#Comment_3899458

Huntress doesn’t need a buff, she is literally fine.

All I’m saying is about blight, you could probably make him 4m/s and it would still not change anything about his strength. This nerf would literally not affect him if you want to nerf him.

If she’s fine then Blight should be 110% end of story

  • @Langweilig said:

Making him 110 will change nothing. Most hits he gets are by his m2, so making his m1 worse will barely affect him.

If it changes nothing then make all killers 115% again Bloght should not be 115% while Huntress is 110%

I would much rather leave her 110% and move faster while holding hatchets but they wouldn’t let that happen

  • @bjorksnas said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3899256#Comment_3899256

If huntress were a 115% she would need a longer cooldown after throwing a hatchet or a longer windup to make up for how well she can position before / after a throw with more speed. Backrev into instant downs are no longer rare at that point.

You really wouldn’t need to I don’t think. Besides back revs are some of the hardest hit when a survivor has no options and starts spazzing out.

But her kill rate wouldn’t even touch 60% I would rather her be 110 and move at 85% when holding a hatchet but people complain about zoning for some reason.

  • @Memesis said:

This change makes no sense. Making him 110 only makes him bully material for newer killers and experienced blight players will still be as oppressive as before with no difference at the top level. Awful idea. If you want blight nerfed, then simply nerf his movement speed, number of tokens, fatigue duration, what have you

And 110% Huntress and Slinger aren’t bully material for noobs? Huntress has afar lower kill rate at low MMR than Blight. So that means even noob Blight players do better than noob Huntress’s.

Either Blight goes to 110% or Huntress goes to 115% literally makes zero sense for him to be 115 and her be 110

  • @Wezqu said:

It has nothing to do with using Head On. The point of the bug here is really the other survivor trying to open the locker where the other is hiding and killer downing them at that moment. It will cause the open locker option not be possible and forces pickup if killer press space. Bug is caused by the interaction of trying to enter a locker other survivor is hiding in.

Killer can counter the bug easily by not hitting the survivor when they try to open the locker.

I downed a survivor who wasn’t trying to open a locker and they crawled in front of one and I still couldn’t open it. It kept forcing me to pick up and someone who had head on was in the locker next to it.

The Window you are describing seems to be the old God Window, if you mean this window:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GUA40RLSL1S0/202503-7e2-jpg.jpg

It used to be this window without an opening, then got changed into this window with a breakable Wall and then got changed into what we see here.

If you encountered it recently without the opening, then I would assume this is a Bug. It should not spawn this way, so it must be a bug (if it would be intentional we would have seen it more often and more epeople would have rightfully complained about it).

Yes that was absolutely the same window but there was no door. I guess it was bugged because I’ve never seen it before but that was insane.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

I mean with slinger they would have to rework alot and with huntress if they give them base speed.

Both insta shots would have to go.

The slingers range expose hit and the 1 shot hatchet for huntress.

Youd probably have to nerf windup time or something as well. You could just destroy at every loop, they may as well not be loops with speed.

They wouldnt have to change anything at all. Make them both 115% and leave it. If their kill rates skyrocket past 60% (which they won’t) then revert it and I’ll never mention it again. I just want to see it. At the very least if they leave her 110% she should move at 85% when holding a hatchet at default. People complained about her zoning potential but she is still 15% slower than a survivor and Demo moves at 115% when zoning with Shred, an ability that can break pallets. Literally no winning at shack if he’s close.

Huntress’s one shot add on should’ve gone a long time ago. It’s a testament to horrible design. The most fun part of the character is throwing hatchets so you give me 2 ultra rares that encourage me to not have hatchets or zone like crazy? Absolutely horrific add ons.

You could definitely nerf the wind up although I don’t think it would be necessary since you would still be ridiculously slow. I use shiny pin AND flower babushka and I still have to breathe down a survivors neck at certain loops to land a hit. And if I take even half a second to long they break los. Two supposedly OP add ons but still very little room for error.

Ok, fair enough on Crotus Prenn, I only just realized you are talking about Chapel (the Clowns Map) and not Asylum. This indeed features a very strong window, I agree.

Still disagree on the rest. But since I know that we wont find an agreement here, I am fine to agree to disagree. I just dont think that those Windows (aside from the one on Chapel) are that strong. And if you struggle on Abattoir, I really dont know what to say.

I think you don’t know what window I’m talking about on Abatoir because I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before until the other day. Maybe it’s a bug but there is a window that spawns in the middle of the long wall with no breakable doors anywhere by it. It’s ridiculous. You can’t even attempt a hatchet till the 2nd time around it’s absurd.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3899215#Comment_3899215

Man, you REALLY seem to be struggling at this game when you call those windwos "insane". Groaning Storehouse is dealt with with breaking the wall. The good Window on Crotus Prenn does not even spawn the breakable Wall next to it anymore. And Abattoir is probably one of the most killer-sided maps in the game (granted, more because of the huge deadzones and less because of the Main Building) and the window in the Main Building does close to nothing at this point.

    @Topic:

Nah, it is fine that those Main Buildings were changed. There was nothing more boring than Survivors beelining to those safe Windows, because you basically had to vault them 3 times or have Bamboozle to deal with them. Or, which was the smarter choice, just abandon chase and search for a different Survivor. It is good that those Windows are gone.

The problem with Maps is more that they become more and more killer-sided outside of the Main Buildings. It is fine if you have a weak(er) window in the Main Structure of a Map, but it becomes a problem when you have either deadzones or only very weak pallets around it where Killers can just swing around or respect them and get a hit. Especially because the most recent Killer additions can even easier play around those unsafe tiles. So instead of making the Main Structure-windows super strong and creating something where Survivors will just run to every time (this was a problem with old Grim Pantry for example - the map always spawned big deadzones in the middle and Survivors would just beeline to the strong Pantry-Window, simply because there was nothing else to use), the Main Structures should be okish, but the sorrounding area should be okish as well.

(Even tho, I would say that the Devs can look at Bamboozle at this point. The Perk was introduced to help with those super strong windows, but nowadays is only a brainrot-Perk where Killers just vault every window to shut it down instead of trying to play the Tile, since there is not really any unmindgameable tile left in the game)

You’re very antagonistic, and wrong. Groaning storehouse has a different window variation with 2 windows with NO breakable wall next to one. That is in fact insane. Why do you think MacMillian map offerings are used so often?

Crotus Prenn main building has one window with a wall next to it and a Godlike window on the other side of the building that is also insane.

Rancid Abatoir has a variant of a God window where you can’t get a hit and one where there is a breakable wall next to it. It doesn’t matter if the map is killer sided; fix the brain dead window tile and add more pallets. There is no reason a survivor needs zero skill besides holding W to waste 45 seconds of killer time.

Don’t even get me started on Mothers Dwelling. THAT window is insane. A lot of the main buildings are problematic in this game. I know you don’t play killer a lot but you should try it, especially a 110% killer. Nothing quite as infuriating as survivors running around a rock 470 times to force you to M1 to boot.

    This you op?

Nope but they are 100% right.

Nobody and I mean not one single person has ever come up with a reasonable explanation as to why she is so slow. 77% is ridiculous and outdated and there is ZERO reason for her to be 110%. In 2017 she was fine. It’s not 2017 anymore.

Blight being 115% and Huntress being 110% literally makes ZERO sense.

  • @bjorksnas said:

Blight being 110 does not fix any actual frustrations with him, he will still dominate on loops and maps he dominates on, at best its a nerf to bad players and begging rng to take the wheel by dulling him down on maps where he can't use his power well so maybe you have an out by getting a "good" map because he is a 110 killer with less of a power.

If you want to nerf blight actually make something good. The 110 is a boring and lazy way to try and drag his metrics down.

Welcome to my life as a Huntress main boring way to drag me down as a killer. Makes zero sense for me to be 110% still while Blight is 115%.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

Worst killers in the game if they arent good with their powers?

Uhhh no that would be nurse

Where you move SLOWER than the survivors.

I forgot about her lol. My point still stands.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

Wont change much with him honestly.

The amount of times you get m1'd by him because of his base speed is probably in the less than 3% category.

Which is probably why they dont want slinger and huntress at that speed. They hit you plenty and they have range. Giving them more speed to fake a shot would just be unnecessary.

If you miss 1 Hatchet or Spear at a pallet that survivor gains massive distance. Blight and he is literally on top of you right after.

If Blight does M1 you which a lot of new ones do then they can immediately down you with power.

Blight being 110% makes way more sense than the other two being 110%. They get punished way worse than Blight does and he is far stronger than they are.

  • @mecca said:

Unlike survivors, BHVR does not balance a killer on high performing, they balance around killers that have no idea how to use the power effectively.

If that was true Huntress and Slinger would be 115% because they are the worst killers in the game if they aren’t good with their powers

  • None of the devs know why any killers are 110% I don’t think you can’t make a single good argument for any killers to be 110% besides Spirit and Chucky.

It’s an outdated and arbitrary way to need killers who were once incredibly strong but have been left behind as the game has gone on.

They probably won’t buff Hag because survivors find her annoying, so that’s why they leave certain killers weaker even though they say they want them each at a certain target. Hence a DBD Exec saying “Just Get Better” a few days ago at an event.

Are you going to come up with something completely new or are you going to bring back some parts while you introduce some new parts as well?

He needs to be 115% it is fine. A Trickster who is M1ing all the time will lose badly against even average survivors. The same reason why a 115% Huntress wouldn’t be overpowered at all. If she M1s to much she will 100% lose.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

Both the 110 and 115 trickster crowd are very vocal and passionate about which way trickster should go

And we all know which way the survivor crowd will vote so it will 100% go back to a 110% Trickster.

  • There are still insane windows in this game that need to go today. Groaning storehouse is insane, Crotus Prenn has one and Rancid Abatoir.

No 110% killer besides Spirit and Hag can land a hit at any of these loops until the 3rd time around which is a huge time sink. Literally free 40 second chase with zero skill needed against some killers.

  • Hooray! Let’s need Huntress more with Fog!

  • new slugging changes: After a killer slugs a survivor for more than 10 seconds, the killer falls over and dies and the survivors automatically escape and are allowed to hit the griddy 3 times on the way out.

  • @Caiman said:

By that logic Skull Merchant should be like 80% because she is clearly walking. And Wesker should be like 150% lol

The reason why some killers have 110% or 115% speed is due to the complexity of their power.

Slinger moving at 4.6 wouldn't make him stronger or broken but rather completely more unfair and not fun to play against because he wouldn't have any penalty for missing shots.

For slinger to be 115% they would have to revert all the changes that make him more healthier to play.

He has plenty of penalties for missing shots. When he fires he basically holds still for 2 seconds. When he reloads he moves at 70% for 2 almost seconds. Not only that but he can’t down you with his gun, it has to be an M1.

There is literally ZERO reason for him to be 110%. It’s not like he can quickscope anymore and they gave him a 32 meter TR. 115% slinger would be completely healthy and prevent him from being looped on a small rock 25 times, which is just an absurd counter that is awkward and poorly thought out.

They’re should be criteria for a killer being 110%. Right now it’s completely arbitrary and makes no sense. And nobody knows why they do it.

Ooooh! Lake mine is one i was wondering about for huntress and Blight specifically. I know the map is AMAZING for Trapper, but with Huntress, is it the main building?

I feel the map has a lot of 'good' clutter out in the open areas. But I haven't had an amount of huntress on that map to really understand. What makes it good for her? Thank you!

It’s the least cluttered map they have made since the cold wind farm realms. Pretty much every single map has been horrible for Huntress for the last few years. With the exception of Nostrono and Shattered Square.

Long lines of sight white a white background that survivors pop out against. Main buildings are usually very bad for her but they were smart and put it in th back of the map so it does obstruct snipes.

Almost brings a tear to my eye with how good it is.

    Definitional absurdism.

"You’re getting free anti camp on top of your anti face camp, free anti tunnel on top of your free basekit BT, free anti slug. Like it’s gonna be bad for killers soon, real bad."

Just the fact that you think disallowing killers to camp and tunnel is a bad thing is exactly the problem with the DBD community. You are inferring that killer gameplay is supposed to involve camping and tunneling. I don't know where this philosophy came from, who started it, or what compels killer players to believe in it, but it is wrong.

OP addressed the more 'mechanical' aspects of the game that are problematic. I believe that the core issue with DBD is the mentality and philosophy of the community. It's players' behavior and their excuses and justifications for it that have triggered this long-time chain reaction. The problem is, BHVR can only do so much about that, because it's not a game design - it is a mental state of people. Until people change for the better, these issues will remain perpetually.

Camping, slugging and tunneling should be allowed. There are situations where it’s needed and to say otherwise is wrong. And the Devs themselves in the past said it was a necessary gameplay mechanic before they started backpedaling.

The OP was complaining about how Devs listen to killers and not survivors which I proved was flat out false.

  • @MoZo said:

Billy is fine as a 4.6 killer. All he has is his chainsaw, without it he’s literally nothing. Blight is the same but his power is on demand so catching up to a running survivor is so easy that 4.4 would be necessary. Blight’s power is so good that he should always be using it and punished for not. That’s the whole concept of 4.4 killers, they have a very strong chase or mobility tool but move at 4.4 to balance it out making them forced to use their powerful ability to win their matches. Imagine a chucky or spirit never using their power. They would be awful

That’s definitely not why some killers are 4.4 otherwise there would be a hundred loops in the game where Huntress can’t use her power.

4.4 killers exist because the devs have no idea how to balance the killer at full speed so they slap an arbitrary penalty on them. That’s it.

  • It’s a fan shape, it matches his swinging animation. The survivor perk Head On has a fan shaped Hitbox as well so how about we remove that? Or we leave them both the same.

No hit in this game is outrageous unless having high ping. Survivor Hitboxes are atrocious and lag behind the survivor. Once you learn that you can abuse it.

  • Bhvr listens to survivors too. Remember when they were giving Huntress buffs and all the survivors united behind cherry picked clips and propaganda to get her movement speed buff reverted. The coordination of lies, propaganda, content creators cherry picking and lying to their audience to spark outrage was truly mesmerizing to witness.

And unfortunately, Bhvr listened to crying instead of watching kill/ win rates.

Besides you literally won’t even have to try to win as survivor in a few months. You’re getting free anti camp on top of your anti face camp, free anti tunnel on top of your free basekit BT, free anti slug. Like it’s gonna be bad for killers soon, real bad.

Might as well introduce anti hooking basekit. Oh oh and anti injuring basekit as well! Oh and anti launching the game! How about if you choose to queue up as killer you actually get banned for it! That’s where it seems like we’re going.

Because you were counting health states. And we specifically argued it.

If you'd said "each unhook" or "either 4, 5, or 6 health states", then we'd be talking about match value potentially.

But since you specifically argued for "3 health states", which you insisted was "healthy, endurance, and injured"... Well that's one hook.

If you meant per match, that would be up to 6 health states.

But you didn't. You switched from 3 health states (on one hook) to 160 second (per match) mid sentence. I've quoted that sentence twice now.

You could admit you wrote it wrong, but so far all you've done is attack and condescend me for you saying something that was, at best, unclear, and at worst textbook gaslighting.

At this point, either way, I've said what I needed to and my comments are in writing as is. I'm out, good luck with your matches.

Lmao you are nitpicking so bad right now it’s crazy. Even with how much reaching and grasping going on right now the point still stands. 3 health states, 3 perks in one = Overpowered.

Look, I know forums math isn't people's strong suit in any way, but

You can't argue health states as one hook (injured+endurance) or as you argued it (healed to full+injured+endurance) then switch it to counting for the entire match when it suits you.

At least be consistent. Since we've been talking about one unhook this whole time, with injured and endurance being the two health states it's 80 seconds. Otherwise you're either just being disingenuous or can't count health states for the entire match. I'm guessing it's the disingenuous one.

ETA: since you seem to claim you switched from one hook to two in mid sentence this confusion is you getting it wrong, not me reading it wrong. Here's what you wrote:

Even if you don’t utilize the three health states you get you get 2 other perks on top of that for almost 3 minutes.

The only reason you're stretching this is because you want the numbers to look as bad as you possibly can.

And my point still stands, regardless, that if the survivors perk is making them not progress the game voluntarily then on both hooks is even better for the killer. If the person wasted 80 seconds doing nothing the first time and then decided to further do nothing again, that's more slowdown than any killer perk has ever given.

Separating the two makes zero sense. You get 3 health states TWICE. You get get 3 perks for 80 seconds TWICE. You have a total elapsed time of having 3 perks in one for 160 seconds.

What is there not to understand? These aren’t mutually exclusive.

Yes it is 3 health states if you fully heal.

That's not a part of the perk. If the killer isn't tunneling, then the survivors healing up is two people not on gens.

You seem to just be complaining that survivors aren't standing around AFK.

Look, the basic fundamental aspect of this game is that survivors are reacting to the killer's actions and power. That means the killer gives the survivors something to do, because otherwise they just do gens and leave.

So literally anything, including being chased, hooked, downed, unhooking, healing, interacting with the killer or the killers power, even going for saves... Is all because the killer did something (or even base kit power) they have to respond to. It's not free, all of that takes people off of gens. That's the point.

You seem to not be even capable of looking at anything from a survivor standpoint, and your mindset is purely biased toward the killer here.

It doesn’t prevent tunneling but certainly makes it harder, doesn’t it?

By this logic, maps should just be the basement and nothing else, since anything other than an empty field "slows down tunneling". Nothing stops tunneling.

This isn't a blocked gen, broken hook, or lightborn where is physically impossible to do something. It's a casual suggestion to not tunnel. And instead of taking that suggestion, you and nearly every killer not only ignores it completely, but comes here to complain that it even exists.

I'm so sorry you hit a speed bump while running that survivor over, that must be awful for you. /s

You’re making a whole bunch of points that are completely irrelevant to the discussion. And a whole lot of strawmans.

The perk does way too much is what I’m saying. Even if you don’t utilize the three health states you get you get 2 other perks on top of that for almost 3 minutes.

Call me biased if you want to. I used to use it all the time till Otzdarva talked about how Overpowered it was and I experienced what he said for myself.

Removing a bear Trap for feee, Removing condemned for free, cleansing uroborous for free, cleansing contamination for free, STOPPING A CHAIN HUNT FOR FREE, removing drones for free, kicking victor for free.

It's not free. It takes survivor time to do, and the only... *only* advantage survivors have is action economy. That's time not on gens, and it's anything but free.

3 health states. On TOP of iron will and distortion all rolled into a single perk.

Ok so, you have to be talking about OTR here, without saying it. OTR does not give 3 health states, since you are injured off hook and endurance only works once. It also doesn't stop tunneling, since none of those features, even together, stop the killer from following you off of hook.

Your post demonstrates a staggering lack of understanding of game mechanics, tbh. Respectfully, you aren't in a position to try to accuse someone else of not playing the game.

Yes it is 3 health states if you fully heal. And I’m the one who doesn’t understand game mechanics huh? We have been talking about OTR since the first comment where I mentioned it, maybe pay attention?

It’s free, you’re in no danger. No punishment for doing it. Killers are always in a time deficit so it’s not that big of a deal and it hurts some killer more than others.

It doesn’t prevent tunneling but certainly makes it harder, doesn’t it?
