  • It BETTER not be kill switched. It better stay in the game and be useable for a while. Infinite balanced landing wasn’t kill switched.

  • He’s one of the easiest killers to loop in the game.
He’s only unloopable on farm maps with huge dead zones.

I literally don’t understand how you can’t loop him. I can play 10 matches against him and loop him for 60-90 second every single time without fail except for those maps.

  • I have countless clips of this. It has been getting much worse. Even point blank unobstructed shots are doing it.

And what if he would have around 75% Killrate? Then you would say that the Data is not accurate. 62% fits your narrative, this is why you are saying it is accurate. And nightlights data will always be below BHVRs data when it comes to quality, simply because it is limited by what people want to upload.

    @Topic:

The community is not ready for stats. They just dont understand it or dont want to understand it. I remember back then Stats were released and the first complaint was that it does not differ between high Ranks and low Ranks. Next time the stats differ between high and low Ranks and then suddenly they were bad because they dont show PC and Console.

Then people are twisting narratives - people were parotting that Nurse has the lowest Killrate, despite everyone knowing that she is the strongest Killer and just pulled down by her steep learning curve and the fact that she is a free character, so people who dont even know what Items, Perks or Add Ons are (BHVR confirmed this that it happens a lot with new players) drag it down.

Then with the latest stats BHVR even had chase time included in those stats. The total average Chase time was around 60 second PER Survivor PER game. Not per Chase, per Survivor. This means that one chase (assuming 3 chases for every survivor) is 20 seconds. And the number for high MMR was not much higher, I think around 10 seconds higher or so. And despite having the Data that even at high MMR Chase Times on average were really not long, there are still people here who claim that it is not true and they play on a special Survivor with only godlike Survivors.

Stats are nice. But only if the community has the ability to comprehend those. And the DBD-Community does not have this ability.

Another completely disingenuous statement with no basis at all. You don’t know me. Stop speaking poorly of me when you have no clue what you’re talking about, thanks.

If he had a 75% kill rate I would 100% believe it’s accurate BECAUSE IT IS. It is hard FACTUAL DATA for the small sample size they have. Just so you know stats work lmao. You can use smaller sample sizes and extrapolate to bigger ones. It’s not going to be far off from Bhvrs data at all.

I would chalk up that kill rate to survivors throwing on hook because he is CLEARLY nowhere NEAR that strong. Nurse is at 61%. No other killer will be TEN PERCENT above her without survivors throwing on hook. Especially not one as mediocre as him.

We’re already about to punish killers for slugging, tunneling, proxy camping and camping.

That's some very wishful thinking. Only thing that's punished there is camping (I assume when you just say camping you mean face camp, to contrast with proxy camp which you also bring up)

Wishful thinking? It’s literally confirmed in the roadmap?

  • I purposely downgraded my internet because I got tired of being punished for having good ping. Can’t tell you how many times I swung through a pallet and get stunned on the same side as a survivor and they walked away Scott free.

After downgrading my internet I actually get the hit that I deserved now. And I save $29 a month!

  • @WholesomeNebula said:

Like every 1-3 months. I really want to know what the kill rates for Ghoul is, because it has to be outrageous. I'm only playing until the end of the event until the killer gets less popular. I've been playing since the Nemesis release and have never complained about a killer release before this one, but this game is basically not playable as is. Its bad enough to have an over powered/unfair killer, but then the fact the killer is as popular as Wesker was, and on top of that you basically have zero chance because so many survivors give up (understandably so). Idk how anyone plays. If not for the event, I certainly wouldn't.

Of the 53 matches I've played during the event, 18 have been Ghouls. During those 53 matches, there has only been 1 four survivor escape. Since Ghoul's release, the average kills in my matches have been at 3.0 or about 75%. In the 555 matches before this event, the average kills I've seen were 2.4, so killer sided but reasonably so. The game works best with somewhat of a killer advantage. But 75%? That's pretty bad.

I also track gen completion and an unrelated bit of trivia is the average gen completion in my matches before and during the event are exactly the same, 3.7 gen completion on average. So that would suggest to me the new gens are more likely to get done, but that hasn't helped survivors at all somehow. Most likely due to Ghoul just being stupid strong.

I want to know if my experience is an anomaly or if the matches really are this bad for most other survivors. BHVR should release more stats, more frequently to answer this question.

He’s at a 62% kill rate out of 5,000 matches on Nightlight gg. Which is completely accurate. You upload a screenshot with your data and it is verified so you can not lie.

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

This community has shown repeatedly that they can't handle actual statistics and will just make up whatever they want to push how they think things should be, regardless of BHVR's actual data.

Here's literally how this would go on these forums:

Kill rate too high? It's survivors fault. They aren't learning counterplay, or giving up too much, or just haven't brought the 47 perks and items required to make this happen. The pros escaped once, clearly it's a skill issue.

Kill rate isn't too high? Obviously the killer needs buffs. Doesn't matter which buffs, just throw anything on there: remove a cooldown, make an iri add-on base kit, all pallets explode into splinters and all vaults permanently blocked the second the match starts. Anything. Oh, and definitely nerf gens and buff regression.

As soon as we start punishing survivor for throwing on hook we won’t really have to worry about that aspect too much. Start with a 30 minute ban for throwing on hook and problem solved.

We’re already about to punish killers for slugging, tunneling, proxy camping and camping.

The proper way to get stats on how good a killer is would be how many gens are popped before their first hook.

  • He is still better than Nurse and Blight combined and Tripled.

It should take at least 6 seconds to perform a vault. Also when he hits a survivor he should be locked in place for 15 seconds. I think that would be healthy.

  • I agree honestly. I think killers need a nerf overall. We should double all of their action times and stun times.

  • I’ve been saying this but nobody listens. Looks like I’m right again. You could nerf the range at which he grabs survivors and leave the range for the objects the same.

If you can’t do that then don’t do it at all.

A Hatchet being a second chance attack is just moronic, plain and simple.

Kind of missing the point. I'm saying the way you're talking about second chance means that hatchets are second chance. If even self-care is a second chance because it allows survivors to do something they normally couldn't do, then hatchets must also be second chance because they give killers a second chance at getting a down.

Or how about this - when Huntress got buffed from 5 to 7 hatchets, did that mean she got both a 2nd and 3rd chance? Or in fact is every hatchet after the 2nd a '2nd chance' hatchet, so she has a 2nd through 5th chance?

Your definition is so broad that it seems like everything can fall under it, but you just want to apply it to the survivor side.

Not even close. I specified Deadlock and NOED as killer second chance perks so nice try.

The system I came up with is not broad at all even remotely. 2nd chances are second chances. A killers power has nothing to do with 2nd chances unless it can keep a survivor from leaving the game.

Pigs RBT. Pinhead Possessive Chain Gate Blocker and so on. A power that allows you to down has nothing to do with second chances. It’s common sense.

I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand honestly. 2nd chance explains itself.

    • Deadlock 100% a second chance perk
    • NOED 100% a second chance perk
    • Dead Hard 100% a second chance perk
    • DS 100% a second chance perk
    • Built to last ZERO percent second chance perk
    • STBFL ZERO percent 2nd chance perk

Do I really need to go through every single perk to teach people what a second chance perk is? It seems self explanatory to me.

  • @crogers271 said:

Broadly agree and have always found the term 'second chance' strange.

The game isn't designed to be played perkless/item less/addon less. Part of the game is the strategy of what things you take to buff your survivor / killer. Perks that can extend the chase are a big part of that and have nothing to do with whether the survivor made a mistake or not.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3914603#Comment_3914603

I call it Crutch Hard because it literally can not be countered by me as a Huntress main. You can’t fake throw a hatchet. Robbing me of a down and a hook and huge pressure.

Aren't hatchets just 'second chance' attacks for the killer? Stop 'robbing' me of my loop by just downing me with a hatchet.

No one is being robbed. Both sides have powers / perks / items that they use to play the game.

Clearly not even remotely the same. A killer power in which you injure a survivor can never be considered a second chance anything.

Pigs RBT COULD be a second chance at killing survivors in the endgame if there trap is active.

A Hatchet being a second chance attack is just moronic, plain and simple.

Is healing a second-chance action then? Because it would seem to be, by your definition.

No. I said already healing is very clearly not. Unless it’s self care. Because self care allows you to heal for “free” with no teammate and no medkit. Albeit a harder second chance perk to use. If you did not have self care you would be caught because of your grunts of pain. Or you would be downed instantly because you were injured.

So in a scenario where you should be injured and easy to catch. You get to heal yourself for “free” although it takes like 40 seconds. Definitely a second chance perk.

Never said he was bad. He’s just not even close to as good as people say. Almost as easy to loop as legion and legion is one of the worst killers in the game.

  • Not even close to Nurse. Not S Tier either.

Most overrated killer this game has ever seen.

I am an awful survivor and have been able to loop them easily. Except on farm maps because there is like 3 pallets total.

I'm just sort of stuck on what the purpose of the term is, if that's the definition.

If it covers for tools that range from worthless to top tier, it covers tools you'd use in a wide variety of different ways, and the tools it covers make up a noticeable majority… I don't see how you could use the term to make an informed criticism or complaint about the game, and I don't see what other reason there'd be to define a term like this, functionally speaking.

What's the point of even talking about "second chance perks" if the term is this broad and nebulous?

Most killers hate most second chance perks. But I don’t think any killer hates self care even though it’s very clearly a second chance perk.

They complain about the blatant ones. DH is personally very annoying to me to this day. I call it Crutch Hard because it literally can not be countered by me as a Huntress main. You can’t fake throw a hatchet. Robbing me of a down and a hook and huge pressure. It feels very cheap and unearned. It’s abysmally easy to press E when a hatchet is heading your way.

DS is absurd as well sometimes. I’ll down a completely separate survivor very quickly and rotate back to the unhooked survivor because I stumbled into them and I get punished for being good at chases and get punished for their mistake of running into me. (It should deactivate if I hook someone else imo)

But Mettle of Man is very clearly a second chance perk that I would never complain about because it is hard to get. And comes with a huge Aura reading downside.

It’s just a general thing to complain about. Not all second chance perks are annoying. Some are very much so.

Sure, there's some perks that don't fit this mold, but again: Every healing perk and every stealth perk, as well as every chase perk, would fit this definition. It's broad enough to cover several entire archetypes of perks, which leads me to think it's probably not very constructive or useful.

Object would count, since it's a chase aura perk, as an aside.

Object 100% doesn’t count. It gets you in trouble more often than helps. Doesn’t work in stealth killers or perks at all.

Healing perks can be but aren’t always. We’ll make it is not. Desperate measures is not. Self Care Is since it allows you to heal yourself without a team mate or item.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3914476#Comment_3914476

By that definition, couldn't you claim pretty much any perk is a second chance perk?

Broadly speaking, you can't really avoid that every single healing and stealth perk is also unavoidably a second chance perk by this definition, and at that point it just seems like an unhelpful definition. It doesn't have any coherent point, you might as well just refer to "useful perks" and you'd be encompassing basically the same group of tools.

Nope you definitely can’t make that claim. Streetwise is 100% not a second chance perk. Object, Built to Last, Red Herring and so on. None of those can remotely be considered second chance perks.

If you’re in a chase Red Herring won’t save you. Built to Last won’t prevent you from going down, Object won’t prevent you from being hooked.

There is a very clear and obvious line on what is a 2nd chance perks and what’s not. It’s very simple really:

  • Absolutely it is. I’ve caught survivors who got absolutely blasted by a mind game and I had them dead to rights but finess stopped them from being hit even though they made an insane mistake.

Definitely a second chance perk. It also completely guts most ranged killers at windows when it’s off cooldown.

  • @Mandy said:

I'll jump in here right away to try to reassure you, if any feature that's implemented changes kill rates drastically and in a negative manner (as you know we aim for approx 60% kill rate), we will make adjustments as necessary. These are QoL features, so focusing on game health and enjoyment, these are not balancing changes as such.

60% kill rate except for Huntress who’s been at 53% for a year now cough cough

*oh and the other 6 killers below her. But a certain person said to “just get better” if I remember right?

  • @jesterkind said:

Provocative title aside, I do have a legitimate point I want to make her about the discourse surrounding the game, and the idea of "second chance perks" that keeps getting brought up consistently.

I've always been kind of confused by this term, because the perks people cite as supposed "second chance perks" never seem to match the way they're talked about. People bring up this kind of perk as ones that bail survivors out of mistakes and extend chases for them, to give them a second shot after being outplayed by the killer… but then the perks cited are Decisive Strike, Off The Record, Unbreakable, Shoulder The Burden, and perks in that vein.

To be blunt, these perks don't work the way they're being invoked. They don't undo survivor mistakes, they don't allow the survivor to extend chases after being outplayed by the killer. They are designed to do one thing: Add a layer of protection if the killer chooses to make a specific choice.

Decisive Strike and Off The Record are designed (in chase at least, OTR does extra things) to only work if the killer chases you off hook. Unbreakable is designed to only work if the killer leaves you on the ground. Shoulder The Burden only works if the killer tries to chase your teammate off hook. Those aren't survivor mistakes, and there's much more context than just the killer outplaying the survivor.

Some of these perks have some application outside of that primary use, like OTR bodyblocking and StB having very very highly specific scenarios where it gives a little value outside of tunnelling, but none of those other uses count as undoing survivor mistakes either. It's not a mistake to bodyblock if you have Endurance, it's not a mistake to just… be hooked for the first time, especially if it happens later in the match.

If I were to give this kind of perk a unified name, I'd probably pick "Insurance perks", as they're insurance against specific actions being taken. Just swapping one name for another wouldn't address the core issue, though, which is that these perks are being invoked rhetorically as free-value perks, or "undo a mistake" perks, which they are not.

I said "almost" in the title because, to be fair, I do think there is exactly one second chance perk in the game— Dead Hard could easily be argued to fit that definition. I don't think that really changes the argument I'm making at all, but I figured I'd mention it.

A second chance perk is a perk that prevents a survivor from going down. Prevents a survivor from being hooked. Or corrects a survivors mistake.

DS is a second chance perk that can fulfill 2 criteria. Finess is a 2nd chance perk that can fulfill the last one. Dead Hard fulfills the first and the last. Unbreakable is a 2nd chance perk that fulfills the second and so on.

If I remember right. Survivors have around 30+ second chance perks and killer have 3-4.

Deadlock is a 2nd chance perk for gens imo. NOED and No Way Out are True second chance perks.

    But, have you considered... NOED?

Thank You for proving my point. No one likes to lose to a cheap perk! At least you can cleanse NOED. Oh and survivors puked and cried until it got nerfed and has its aura revealed, just like Penti now!

Can’t expect survivors to have to try at all can we?

You know, for someone who often claims to play both Killer and Survivor (In other forums) , you have an incredibly jaded view on survivors and an extremely biased view of killers, which makes me wonder the validity of your playstyle given your coddling of the killers. But, eschewing this for the main point, You could say this for any part of the game because it happens on both sides, VERY actively.

One of the biggest points was the Dead Hard nerf that came way back in 2022 and then the goalpost was shifted and moved to the next set of meta perks killers were tired of survivors running, while running the same meta perks like Thana, Pop Goes, BBQ, Undying + Ruin/Devour Hope (Cause that was still a meta back then.), or Corrupt.

And, as you expect, every time a new killer is released that is remotely OP, capable of gaining downs and hooks quite fast, or made doing ANYTHING so utterly oppressive there was no point; the Forums were flooded with survivors in outrage of how busted the new killer is.

    - Like when the abomination known as the twins was released
    - Or Pinhead
    - Or when the Knight released (God, what a time to be alive…)
    - How about Skull Merchant? (Wasn't that fun?)
    - Remember the Singularity?
    - Or maybe Chucky (Insert hellish Doll screams as it charges at you from half way across the map.)
    - Oh, Oh, or when Vecna Released and people took to the streets in rage about getting denied their pallet by the mage hand?

The point I'm trying to make is that almost every killer that's released since Twins has either been decent and tolerable or so utterly insufferable to play against that the hatred they got, was (To some degree) warranted.

It has nothing to do with the idea of survivors learning how to counter a killer because that's a fallacy and crutch that every killer loves to hide behind, knowing full well how stupidly powerful most killers are (And still refuse to acknowledge it in hopes that their "New favorite Main" doesnt' get nerf) And everything to do Devs releasing Killers that have more powers then necessary (Dracula, midularity, Lich, Ghoul.) , refusing to deal with literally anything else then adding a new killer/survivor every 3 months. . .

    And unsurprisingly, people like you.

    Classic Killers. . .

I am jaded after years of listening to survivors bawl their eyes out about everything. Check any DBD post. ANY POST. And you’ll find countless survivors asking for things to be nerfed or saying “killer sided game”

They are cry babies. The vast majority. Some of the weakest killers in the game have been nerfed because survivors throw a fit and refuse to learn the counters.

Survivors are the ones who are being coddled. No more hook grabs. No more tunneling. No more slugging. No more face camping. No more camping at all. Basekit BT. Free anti camp. Literally insane.

  • Invocation Killer Perk Blood Sacrifice

Press the secondary ability button on a survivor in the dying state to begin dragging them by the leg. Dragging the survivor to basement allows the killer to sacrifice the survivor immediately.

It takes 45 seonds for the survivor to wiggle out. Other survivors can garb on to the survivor being dragged to hinder the killer by 15%. 2 survivors for 30% and 3 survivors allows the survivor being dragged to be freed.

The killer can’t drag the survivor unless they are 24 meters away from the basement.

  • Nobody like to single handedly lose a match they were winning to a cheap perk. I have lost several matches due to Shoulder alone. 1 survivor in death hook two gens left and they get Shouldered and all of the sudden I have no one on death hook and lose all pressure. It’s rare yeah but that’s because the majority of players aren’t good. I used STB in solo queue and it’s definitely still I saw. And it is very effective at making a killer who is already struggling lose completely.

Duty of Care is the same. It will be rare, but will be annoying in those few scenarios where it comes into play. Especially in the end game. Literal free escape. No skill needed no talent needed.

Old Adrenaline was the same. I never got upset though. I never counted those games as a loss because that perk was ridiculously broken. Absolutely absurd to come out of a hook at full health with a SIX second sprintburst. Especially when survivors were crying about slugging when that’s exactly what adrenaline encouraged.

  • You can just simplify “The Freddying”

    • New Killer Releases with a power that could be anywhere on the spectrum of very weak to very strong
    • Survivors simply don’t like the power and refuse to learn the counter play or interact with it
    • Demand Nerfs
    • Review Bomb Chapter until Nerfed If Devs don’t listen
    • Rinse and Repeat for every single killer

If you make that the Criteria then you can apply “The Freddying” almost every single killer that has ever released!

Freddy was quite literally the worst killer in the game and survivors still wanted him nerfed because they refused to learn that 1 action they had to do to wake up. And then they review bombed the game until he got gutted.

    Classic Survivors!

People play differently subconsciously in a blowout. There's no reason to try. People aren't showing me their best material when they've seen the match is already a loss. I want their A-grade material, I want the best of the best. Mindless slaughter dumbs my skill down by making me used to easy matches.

Sure, it lets me go for ambitious shots, but it doesn't make the Survivors really try their best, which is what will in turn, make me improve.

Sounds like a personal issue lol. Professional players in everything whether sports or gaming practice in low stake scenarios as well as high. And Practicing against people who won’t try to stop them or interfere while they drill the fundamentals.

You should have the skill and ability to determine the level of effort needed for each match. There shouldn’t be a “getting used to easy matches” might be something that older people have to deal with idk.

No matter what level the opponent youre against you can learn and practice in each match unless you purposely decide not to. Some things can only be practiced against lower skill teams and some things only against higher skilled teams.

Besides I have gone against people who were very clueless but gave me a hard time because they did the most wild things that made zero sense at all because they didn’t know what to do. You can always learn from any match.

I play on pc, steam. I use an ethernet cable and I have good wifi, even if my computer is the only thing on it- DBD still doesn't run good. For the past 2 nearly 3 years of playing the game, I have never played one match below 40ms. I am always hovering around 55-65ms, which isn't the worst! But also not the best. I can barely make window vaults because of ping differences, don't even get me started on if the killer is also lagging. Internet speedometer websites give me around 13-20 ping, when I play COD and other games it sits around that level too. I'm wondering is it a me issue, or is it my distance from DBD's dedicated servers? Would I really have to move closer to the nearest server just for a better connection?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VH0CFO2O5P3K/goofy-dweet.jpg

Why would you want good ping? It’s such a disadvantage. I’m going to downgrade my internet because I’m tired of getting punished for having a good connection.

Can’t tell you how many times survivors stun me on the same side of the pallet that I swung through and they don’t get hit. Or how many pick ups/ grabs are cancelled because there ping is awful compared to mine.

Same account though and it has been linked for a LONG time, since I was able to iirc.

I dislike them. I have no pressure to learn and improve. If I wanted a slaughter I'd play against bots.

As someone who has played against bots a lot for aiming practice it’s definitely not even close to the same lol.

But that’s the good thing about Huntress even if it’s a blowout you are still improving. Each hatchet you throw improves your aim and muscle memory.

AND when you go against a bad team that you are crushing you can relax and go for crazy and more wild shots. This actually improving your knowledge more than in a match where you have to lock in and not get fancy.

Think I talked about how I wasn't impressed with my competition. Big reason why I lost interest in DBD. It isn't fun to just slaughter without any pushback, you know?

If I do it might not be on Huntress, might do a game but probably won't be the whole time.

It’s a New Killer and you’re New to PC if I remember right. So it put you against those guys. I never got good teams consistently until I mained a single killer.

Still get very bad teams sometimes but it’s very rare now. I like one sided bloodbaths, it’s fun with Huntress. Nothing quite like landing all of you shots especially cross map but I like close games too. That’s why I play the blood moon event because it’s ridiculously survivor sided with gen speeds.

I’m gonna try using it tonight and see how I feel about it. It’s been awhile since I used it. It was so bad when I tired it the first time I wrote it off completely.

  • Do it! I’d love to see somebody get good value from it. I watched your Kaneki stream. You seem pretty good but the survivors seemed a little clueless tbh.

Put them in the right situation and they will.

Beat Team Misery using Dissolution on Wesker. Pretty sure I downed Abby using it at some car pallet on Autohaven. Beat them again with Pinhead, but not with Dissolution.

Went into Tofu's Scrim Nights with Nemesis and Dissolution, iirc.

Played it in the Community Cups Tournament.

Must be like Lightborn. Some people swear by it and others can't get value from it.

I’m not talking about Wesker or Nemmy. Although Nemmy does seem like a wasted perk since his whip is beyond good enough.

115% killers can actually potentially play around a pallet without it being as big of a detriment to them. 110% killers cannot. Except Spirit and Hag potentially.

Either way I would wager that there are much better options than dissolution. Couoe De Grace would have done you better in every single scenario and gotten much more value than Dissolution. And Dissolution doesn’t stop a lithe from proc’ing either.

Skull merchant has or had dissolution basekit with traps and it was map wide. It was still essentially garbage. It was an add on but it was so unimpactful they made it basekit.

It’s definitely one of the worst chase perks in the game though for sure. Unbound is probably the only chase perks that is worse.

  • That’s what happens when you have several hundred hours on a single killer. Trying to run around the pallet as an easy to read 110% killer is not possible against the survivors I go against on average. I just reached Top 400 Huntress players worldwide last week.

I beat competitive players who had triple to quadruple my hours and I promise you they will NEVER lose a pallet to dissolution against Huntress. It’s not gonna happen lmao.

Any Huntress worth their salt would know to either break the pallet if it’s an unplayable loop or double back and hit over. That’s what Ralph does. And he’s got 6k hours playing her.

  • I’ll upload it privately on my YouTube and link it to you here. I get off at 1am so I’ll message you again when I upload it.

That would be wildly overpowered, so no.

I am not an amazing Huntress player, forewarning.

I always force the pallet down first, if you get a hit when it goes down even better. It means Survivors cannot play around pallets at all. Twenty seconds is more than enough time to get a hit. Don't threaten them with a hatchet if the pallet is already down and if it isn't, walk through it.

Twenty seconds is definitely not more than enough time for a 110% killer lol. 20 seconds is about the time you get in range of the survivor to ready up. And then you have about a 1 second window to score the hit. Trying to run around the pallet and not hit over it or break it is a horrifically bad idea

If the pallet is down doubling back and catching them at the pallet works 90% of the time and far better. Dissolution is one of the worst perks to use on her since she is so slow. Super tall with audio queues when winding up.

It’s genuinely an F Tier perk that approaches mediocre on a handful of killers. 99% of the time a survivor knows it’s active they will hold W to the furthest away loop and when you catch up it’s gone. No survivors stays at a loop you injure them at.

Then you aren't using it right lol

Maybe it's changed in the last year, but I doubt it.

I will say that it can be very boom or bust. Some matches I don't need it at all and it does nothing. Other matches it saves my ass by ending a chase extremely fast.

How do you use it right? Especially on Huntress. You injure a survivor and then what? They fast vault and nothing happens because it take 3 seconds to start and then you round around the loop 20 times so you can actually threaten the hatchet then they vault and it doesn’t break because the timer ran out lmao.

Running this perk on her is a terrible idea. It doesn’t help with god pallets or 50/50 pallets. And at any other pallet you’ll be better off mind gaming and doubling back to catch them over the pallet.

It should be reworked so that way if you hit a survivor the next time they fast vault a pallet it breaks without a timer or terror radius requirement.

^ I can attest to this.

Not just on Wesker, I think people severely undervalue Dissolution. I remember making a whole post about the perk and a majority of people responding were talking about how horrible the perk is without considering what it actually brings to the table.

The perk gains no value at all if the survivor has an IQ of at least 5. It takes 3 seconds to activate after injuring a survivor and announces itself as a big bright red icon in the bottom right of the screen. It’s not underrated at all. It’s awful.

Can you show an instance of Balanced Landing creating an infinite or is it just theoretical?

I can link you a video of me infinitely looping a kaneki on DDawg if you would like. He gave up after 3 minutes but I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have been able to catch me ever.

Regardless it should 100% be kill switched because it is WAY too strong.

Really? Yall JUST got an op S tier killer and you want to complain about a niche teamwork perk from the new survivor? It’s not like this is gonna be a meta perk used every game like how recent meta perks have been (mft). It’s just sad how stale and grounded everyone wants the meta to be, if the devs don’t put out a good survivor perk for this midchapter then they won’t make money. Can we at least let it hit live before coming up with crazy assumptions on how this perk is inanely OP and will define the meta for the foreseeable future? It’s honestly sad how the devs can’t ever make a good and strong perk on either side without half the community complaining about it on day one.

S Tier is a laugh. You clearly don’t understand how he works. Low A tier max.

Oh another niche perk that may possibly have occasional use for anti-tunneling is immediately demanded to be nerfed into obscurity before release.

    Yes… it's an anti-tunnel perk.

If a survivor if standing in the doorway acting as a living obstruction, it stands to reason they are trying to get you to switch to them and stop chasing the person they're covering for.

The perk would just be doing its job in this case?

I don't know, this feels like complaining about how Babysitter gives the unhooked survivor 30 seconds of suppressed scratch marks and blood and +10% haste.

"I can't tunnel the survivor who has the anti-tunnel effect on them!"

I take back what I said honestly. I thought this perk would apply to the bodyblocker as well but it doesn’t.

That is clearly a mistake given that everywhere else (patch notes & etc) it's stated to be 4/5/6 seconds depending on the perk tier. It's not 15 seconds.

Even 6 is too strong. It’s literally the same distance as sprintburst.

  • @TotemsCleanser said:

Where do those 15 seconds you're talking about even come from lol it's 6 seconds

    IMG_6935.jpeg

    It’s 15

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

"Solo Queue Killers"? This is a thing now?

It is more like an Anti-Tunnel Perk than anything else. And even there I would say it can be even buffed a little (but deactivate when being unhooked so that the unhooked Survivor cannot use this).

It’s 15 seconds of 25% haste btw. It needs to be nerfed into the dirt.

I’ll remind you Hex NBM is a literal Hex perk that is only 5% for 15 seconds

  • @BasementDweller said:

I mean Duty of Care can be used to discourage tunneling, but I don't see it being very impactful outside of swf in some cases.

    The killer can just:

    1. Ignore the survivor trying to go for the protection hit
    2. Play a killer that can easily catch up to the survivor that has Duty of Care haste applied to them

You have no clue what you’re talking about. You can’t ignore the bodyblocker if they block a doorway or path. Or a just good at boxing you out.

“Oh just play Blight!” Is not a reasonable excuse either

  • @HolyDarky said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/442818/can-we-stop-with-m1-perks-plz

The issue with NBM is the the requirement of eight hits. I also feel like the Hindred is not so good. I played the perk alongside Rapid Brutality and STBFL and even then, the effect felt mediocre (three perks). So, the perk needs two tweaks: Reduce the requierement to at least four hits or after the first hook and then increase the hindred status effect to 10% for 10 seconds to make it more worth it. Survivors can still get rid of it by cleansing it, which makes it a strong but balanced hex. If we look at the M1 killers: Myers and Ghost Face can instadown survivors and will meet the requirements later than other M1 killers. Legion injuries survivors with their power and downs them with M1, so useless. Deathslinger has a similar issue. Trapper and Hag are setup killers and need other tools than this one - also meet the requirement rather later. Singularity, Clown, Spirit, Doctor, Houndmaster, and Pinhead have Rapid Brutality which is more reliable, so the perk is rather a nice to have than a new toy. So, Wraith and Sadako can make the most reliable use of it but there might be better stuff. The perk is really awkward, it sounds strong in theory when its active but is weak in praxis.

I hope with the Hindred and Haste change, they will buff NBM.

The M1 requirement for perks such as Surge, NBM, or Firends Til The End should never be changed because it makes the game more fair and healthy. If the developers remove this requirement, they have to nerf M2 killers in an unkind way and it will also affect upcoming killers.

You wouldn’t need to nerf M2 killers at all. Surge would not be oppressive on a single M2 killer besides Nurse which they can prevent. Neither would NBM be oppressive either.

Keep in mind Spirit is widely considered S Tier and she can use all of these perks. She can used exposed perks as well with her M2 attack.

Tbh, the problem with the new Hex is not it being M1 only, but being locked behind 8 succesful attacks and being a Hex on top of that.

Exactly and its effects are incredibly mediocre for a Hex at that.
