  • People forget the most important thing about this game. It is an ASYMMETRICAL multiplayer horror game. the stats are always going to be skewed in favor of the "stronger" side. This being the killers.

    @Marigoria said:

By the stats that just came out, kill rate used to be a 53% before the big patch, and now is at 61%.

Survivors only have 39% escape rate right now, I don't even want to know what the % of that is solo q.....

  • you have to be really quick when they do that and turn around immediately, I’ve hit a couple survivors with the tentacle slap after vaulting when they try to get behind you

  • Nurse technically already has this, the flickering on the side of her screen after blinking is timed exactly to the blink window

  • Ive been trying to get Adept David post dead hard nerf and I've been feeling it so hard lmao

botany + built to last + desperate measures + purple medkit

    i will b invincible mwahaha

side note, really happy for the botany buff. one of my favorite perks and super helpful.

Me too! it's my go to for altruism and extending medkits lol, it does it best, now it's 50%??? that's nutty and Im all for it.

gonna totally run it with desperate measures, and empathetic connection, that's 1.74 charges per second, that's effectively 9.2 second heals. 1.2 seconds slower than We'll Make It, but it's on NO timer and requires NO unhooks. I'm gonna be a one stop shop for all healing needs.

  • devotion 5, but i have like 2000 hours clocked in and have been playing since the game came out. Don't know how people get so high up

  • i don't play billy often but I'm decent with him, brought a speed limiter for it and everything, got it in like 2-3 games (yay) but I hate challenges like this, 30 seconds is such a short time frame when downing a survivor can take much longer than that if they're decent, and this does not account for finding them fast enough

  • I remember downing all 4 survivors with Bubba, it was a guaranteed win, I was pretty excited because doing that is a pretty cool thing. It was the survivors fault for being out positioned and I was there, so I capitalized.

But it didn't matter because someone brought unbreakable and extended the game by another 10 minutes.

    I'm the opposite I'm afraid.

I love the theme, the idea is great. I find the execution rediculous. Yeah it has some functionality with traversing the map but I find its better to just chase and m1 normally in most cases. I really find the whole "ping pong/pinball" element just ludicrous and cartoony, it really kills what could have been a dark gothic horror killer.

I got him to 40 and have called it, his perks are pretty good and now they are unlocked I'll park him for a bit.

Maybe if the dash applied deep wounds or was insta down I might feel more inclined but its kinda annoying, unimmersive and I really don't like it.

I tried to like it I really did try too.

what I always thought they were trying to do with the pinball mechanics was something like the monster movie chases, like how a creature slams into the wall and then chases it's prey with a renewed fervor kinda deal. While at first I always expected the alchemist to be a killer that will experiment on survivors injecting them with serum and what not, I love the route they went with him, he's turned into an addicted monster with some of the best lore in the game, honestly though, and I know it's your opinion, but if you really think that it's better to chase and M1 normally all I can say is just keep practicing him, you can do some insane downs with him once you can rush properly. His power lies in cutting off survivors, and if he applied deep wounds (unecessary imo) or instadowned at base he would be so op

  • Which I found absolutely hilarious when I learned this, no wonder he's so low his feet is below the ground

    1. OoO only works when you are the Obsession. There really isn't anything else to give context on in regards to this argument.
    2. I didn't say I never spawn next to a Hex Totem, I said I rarely if ever spawn next to a Hex Totem that is lit, and if the Killer is running HU + Ruin, then I only have a 20% chance of the totem I spawned next to being HU. You're relying on RNG for your argument, but RNG applies greatly to DS and UB given the atmosphere in a current game.
    3. You're running away from the argument. We are talking OP Killer Perks vs OP Survivor Perks. Considering that survivors have to pop 5 gens, possibly 5 totems, and the door, that yes, that is definitely fair that a gen can pop before the Killer has sufficient time to react. You're disregarding the possibility of 3 gens, that a survivor hasn't been sacrificed, and applying that they are doing gens together. If you let a survivor sit on a gen by themselves for at bare minimum 1 minute and 20 seconds, then that's your failure on pressure. The game wasn't meant to provide the Killer with a 4k every match. How insufferably boring would that be?
    4. The maps are fine. As a survivor, there are times where I am halfway down the chute in Hawkins and the Killer's hit STILL registers. Do you see me crying all over the forums about it? No. Because I realize the dev team is doing the best that they can with the relatively minimal funding that they receive compared to AAA titles.

just an FYI on number 1, object of obsession works even if you aren’t the obsession, albeit with shortened range.

    1. "3 survivors can always see you..." In what parallel Universe? OoO only activates when YOU are the obsession. This means that at any given time only one person can see the Killer's location, which again means that the only time that this argument is valid is in an SWF match.
    2. "So many times I have spawn next to lit totems so that is my personal statistic" I find this incredibly hard to believe. I have put hundreds if not thousands of hours into this game, and it is far and away rare that I actually spawn next to a lit totem. I guess some people just have all the luck, huh?
    3. People use Corrupt the same reason people use DS or UB. To extend the game. Your argument then, if you choose to counter my own, is that only the Killer should be allowed to delay the game. Sounds legit.

Just an FYI in response to number 1, all survivors can run object and it’ll still work, however three of them with shortened range.

  • yeah I've always disliked how the bloodweb seems to prioritize tier 3 perks or perks of higher rarity to consume. Makes it take a unnecessary amount of time to level a perk

  • I know David, Feng, Yui, Felix, Blight, Legion, and Ghostface are getting blighted outfits

  • The power being ended prematurely is triggered on picking up a survivor. So a kill with a mori won't end his power but probably eat up some of the power's duration

  • @ad19970 said:

When survivors are out in the open when you are about to hit them, I believe just not lunging and just tapping M1 when you're right at the survivor will do the trick. Don't think survivors can properly dodge the attack if you do it right, but I am honestly not sure.

When they are around an object, you can strafe a bit so you are looking in the direction the survivor is, and then when you swing you can actually cover a fair distance around the object, more than 90 degree, but not 180 degree.

From what I am experiencing his lunge seems fine, if played right you can get enough hits against survivors with lethal rush, even if they know how to counterplay Blight. However I am not 100% sure.

Of course survivors do need that counterplay as well, if the turning was too good, dodging would possibly become a bit too hard.

That is the single piece of advice that I can suggest as well, if they're out in the open, take just a few milliseconds to get even closer (if you have enough time). And in rush Blight runs at 230% speed compared to the survivors 100% run speed, most of the time when the Blight is that close, it's almost guaranteed you'll get the hit. I save lunges for when they're at a pallet or going for a window, or when my rush is about to end. It's pretty crazy how much of a difference that made when I started doing that.

  • Im more of a...... "play lots of killers guy" but Blight's look, lore, and power design will mean he's going to be one I play a lot. So I'd say I'm around 7.5ish.

I'm a total nerd for the Hallowed Blight lore because I thought it was cool, and I've been wanting the Alchemist to make his way here ever since the first event back in 2018.

  • Her post blink lunge is already shorter than the other killer's, I still miss when her post blink lunge was the same as the other killers.

  • Tbh Blight is a little insane for a notebook, what if he just injected more entity juice while roaring like he does at the start of a lethal rush

All players have a (4 digit?) code that can be used to send friend requests. If you go to survivor, then click on the invite friend button, you're code will be at the top of the friend list. From memory, in the friend search you put - 'friendsusername#code'. Example: 'Boaris00#G3L2' which will send them a friend request.

    thank you so much!

He can kinda move faster than billy with the right addons.

yeah it doesn't really bother me if it's by addons and stuff

  • @teamdehn said:

not fast enough to make up for every little hit box collision or the "slight" recuperation period.

Lord if he moved faster than hillbilly I wouldn't know what to do XD

    That would be The Observer.

It's entirely possible that he could be Benedict Baker, Vigo, or someone else entirely. That is all we currently know about him.

Observer can't be Vigo tho, in a lore entry he talks about Vigo and wonders how he came to understand the fog

  • I remember when her post blink lunge was normal sized. It's been like this for awhile and I'm pretty sure it's a bug that won't get fixed for a long time. (I really miss her old post blink lunge, I still go for hits that you used to be able too, but still can't due to the shortened lunge)

  • I need a medieval killer. I'm talking a knight in tarnished, ruined armor (something along the lines of the firelink set from DS3), broken greatsword, and the power relating around a prayer, specifically directly to the entity so you can smite survivors in the name of the spider god.

I have soooo many ideas for a knight killer.

  • My total shot in the wind guess is the 16th. Im pretty unsure myself lol

There was a post about the racism behind blackface leatherface?

Ohhh yeah I remember that post, somebody said that Leatherface wearing Empathyface was racist, and that players who wore it knew what they were doing. Or something like that, it's been awhile since it was last posted.

I just found it weird, Leatherface is not wearing Claudette's face to be racist, Leatherface is wearing it because he likes to wear faces.

"no buffs or changes comming for him"

God... Oni got tweaks at release, Demo got tweaks at release, BHVrR is seriously leaving Deathslinger alone despite the issues present? Do they play their own game?

That’s actually very disappointing for me. I found deathslinger very underwhelming even with good aim/perks. I was hoping for some tweaks, but I’ll probably wait awhile longer before getting him then.

The teaser gives so little information even compared to previous teasers. Honestly I think the devs should drop some kind of very small hint, like is the chain attached to a survivor or a killer on that bloody side- because it looks like it is lower to the ground which would mean it's attached to someone and being pulled in the other direction, so it's not like a beast on a chain or anything, it would have to be a killer that has some kind of thing like scorpion from mortal kombat, or has some kind of chained weapon.

I am really thinking it's just a non licensed, generic killer who grabs people with the chain like the stranger from Last Year.

I would honestly LOVE a road hog/strangler/smoker killer. Instant main. Fav, buy DLC, something about grabbing people in games from a distance is always fun for me, ever since I first played the smoker from Left 4 Dead.

    My guess tho?

I'm gonna have to go with

    "The Convict"

because chain must equal prisoner? I guess?

  • I learned the hard way with this pallet

  • That's the point of the static blast is too find survivors easily, if anything, a doctor who is using static blast already knows you are there anyways. Doctor has always been a killer that is hard to stealth, and for countering it, it's best to be in a location with LOS blockers (not always possible I know), as I've realized with some footwork, some survivors have been able to lose me even after I static blasted them. It's not a 100% guarantee that you always find somebody with it as well (unless you have whispers, but why waste a perk slot for that???) And it has a long cooldown too.

If anything new doctor definitely encourages you to become a better runner now.

  • The observer was forcefully put into the Entity's realm, as a punishment for something.

Benedict Baker was investigating the missing people in a town (I can't remember the name of) and that's where the entity took him from. Although plausible, Benedict and the observer are 2 different people. Benedict goes through the trials while the observer can't be seen by the entity, thanks to the Auris.

  • Head on wouldn't cause me to DC but it definitely does annoy me, if I'm doing well in the match I go right after the person who did it to me.

  • I leave mine open, I get some pretty spicy stuff. Mostly swearing, so if I went into full detail I'd probably get in trouble.

However, my favorite is one I thought was pretty funny. My profile has a pretty rough description of who i am (the basics- what I play, etc.)

This guy comments: "Cringe profile description, this isn't My Space -Rep"

I just throw a comment back saying Ouch my fragile self esteem

Dude actually comes back, "With a profile like this I bet"

But what I've always found odd is that before I started playing Dead By Daylight is that I've never got that many profile comments before. Now after playing the game for a few years I have received multiple comments throughout the whole year, Always going -Rep tunneled, camped, played X killer.

  • Woah it still goes off if it's active? That's really good to know. I didn't even know about that myself.

  • The only offerings I ever burn are the bloodpoint ones, map offerings, and the occasional hook offering. The only time I ever use these offerings as killer is if I'm playing a stealth killer.

  • I don't find Hag unfun to play against (she's a challenge, so I like that), but I get most annoyed when they place the traps under the hook, like I know it's a valid strategy and all, but it's super annoying when the person you save immediately runs away from the hook causing the both of you to get hit.

  • Honestly, distressing can be confusing to survivors, but I most often run it for the easy deviousness points, it's quite satisfying pulling off like 3-4 wraith surprise attacks and it's already full.

  • @anarchy753 said:

This is A set of swords, but the one in the clip has different art on the walls, and is on a tall wooden mount. These ones in the game are on a smaller, wider mount with carved detail on it.

To say these are certainly the same image is just false.

Even if they do have some physical differences, there is definitely correlation with what the devs have posted in their twitter. (The oni mask still seems to be on a stand of sorts regardless in the trailer, so it’s safe to assume they’re the same sword set, especially since you can see this same mask near two swords in game. But now one of them is gone)

  • @MRT464 said:

Isn't there two swords missing, it's a set of three

In the trailer Rin's father is using one of them, which is now the weapon The Spirit wields in game.

It's probably?? safe to assume that whatever the next killer is maybe going to use that katana?

  • I really do want a blight themed killer. It'd honestly be amazing.

  • I can see Ghostface getting one, although it's still unlikely.

  • I still believe shes one of the strongest, and I tried really hard to enjoy the new changes but I couldn’t. Heck I still got 4Ks and stuff but it was way to annoying to play her, for me at least.

  • I kind of get annoyed running into hags who place all their traps at the same hook, and i'm all like "Dayuuuuum girl you can stop us from looping you if you use your traps at pallets and vaults instead of putting them all in one place" I firmly believe there are like two ways to play hag: Aggressive hag, where you place traps in strategic locations like forcing survivors to run into walls, near window vaults and pallets. Then a campy hag, who places traps near hooked survivors, I don't think campy hags are as skilled as an aggressive one, but they somehow still succeed in winning.

  • Nea, I absolutely love her cosmetics and I love mix and matching them. I’ve got a couple outfits I’ve made up myself from her choices of cosmetics lol.

  • I just really hate chases that I could end much quicker are now not possible, mostly because I have a 3 second recharge that cancels if I prepare another blink. I can get 4k's with her easy, but man is it so annoying to do so. I'd much rather have an increased fatigue, they basically gave her another mechanic into her that is meant to help survivors escape, but the blink recharge did not prevent me from losing anybody, it just prolonged chases stupidly.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

No. OP did not give any reasoning why it should be that way.

I never said it should be that way, I'm just curious as to what other player's opinion are if he could. Me not saying why doesn't mean you still can't have an opinion.

  • @Kasaki said:

Yes it should work that way , I'm not sure why it doesnt

I thought of this mostly because I realized some survivors I play against don't destroy the portals, kind of like the "don't cleanse against plague" thing. Heck, I do this too, if a portal is near a gen that's finished, I ignore it.

  • The flood of information would be really good for solos, having bond, and empathy, and kindred with slightly reduced ranges or something like that. Would totally make a solo pretty equal to SWF. Maybe SWF shouldn't have the aura reading then?? I'd love for the info gap between solo and swf to be equalized a bit and buff the killers along that.
