  • Or the ones that run them to the gen you're working on and then loop circles around it.

Let's not forget the ones that loop the killer around the hooked survivor too.

With other killers, for sure. The idea I have with my Legion is to stack up on Remember me stacks with a good bonus at the end of the chase. One good chase can get me 3 out of 4 RM stacks and I have no terror radius for a short time. I basically just like how the two could meld.

The 4 stacks of RM is extremely underwhelming, but if you're just running it for the kicks and not for the viability that works too lol

The OP should probably @ the devs to notice it.

Also, someone just gave this thread its first downvote...feels bad.

  • DBD with virtual reality...now that would be scary as hell.

  • It's just for that character, it doesn't stack with others. I've got every killer at p3 so if it did I'd be seeing ultra-rares everywhere and i definitely don't.

On that note, they really need to increase the rarity from the prestiging. It's pretty unanimously agreed that it isn't even noticeable.

  • They're both pretty bad, you probably don't want them.

  • This is one of my issues with Billy. The hitbox of his chainsaw is way too forgiving.

  • I actually think it's in a perfect spot currently. Favoring the killer as it should, but not too much. I've escaped a lot as survivor when I play it right during EGC 1v1 and I mean using the actual gate, not even the hatch.

I run Spine Chill, I know when to move when Myers is coming its mainly dealing with it after my teammates just let him feed the entire match

Then your post should be complaining about bad teammates, not Myers. You admit the problem is them and not the killer.

An Add on to have unlimited tier 3 making him faster, an Add on that lets him kill without having to hook or down, yeah no he doesn't need a buff of any type, he is already faster than any other killer once he hits tier 3

"An Add on to have unlimited tier 3 making him faster, an Add on that lets him kill without having to hook or down,"

If he got to tier 3 using either of those add ons then either you or the team played stupid. If he even made it to tier 3 using those addons with gens left then y'all fed him A LOT. That isn't a Myers issue, it's a L2P issue. That isn't me being rude, it's me telling you the truth. Those addons are for meme games. You have to fail a lot for those addons to work. You need to take responsibility for you or your team feeding him instead of coming to the forums whining that an already weak killer needs nerfs.

Pallet spawns have not been changed recently. Each map has a minimum and maximum pallet count. It will try to space those pallets out as best it can by not spawning pallets within a certain radius of other pallets. If the minimum number of pallets has not been reached and there are no valid spaces left, it'll break the rules and spawn them wherever it can. This is why you'll sometimes end up with double pallets.

The silver lining is that if that does happen, you have the lowest number of pallets possible.

The lowest number of pallets possible is already way too many for any M1 killer to handle against competent rank 1 survivors. Even with the lowest amount all 5 gens will be done before they are out of pallets.

In my experience, survivors do this stuff after they get a bunch of stupid games in a row against killers that use super OP builds or play lame by tunneling them out of the game when there are still 5 gens and Ruin.

This was a guy that probably got camped to death 5 games in a row and just said "F whoever the next killer is, I'm escaping".

    "super OP builds"

And what are you calling a super OP build?

  • He needs some small buffs, not nerfs.

@Blueberry sorry didn't notice the response. How about the second a survivor cleanses themselves, you instantly get the power. So it saves Plagues time that is wasted.

Well the time Plague wastes going to pick up her corruption is actually huge. Many times I even forgo even trying to get one just because it's just way too far and I can't avoid all that pressure gone.

That said, survivors don't cleanse enough for that to matter. Against good survivors you are lucky if you even get Corrupted Purge twice. I'd like your change as it wastes her too much time currently, but it alone isn't going be enough to make her more viable. She needs to be able to get Corrupted Purge more often.

    @Blueberry

What if a fully infected survivor had a 10% action penalty? This includes, but is not limited to repairs, healing, cleansing, opening, and sabotaging.

I know, another healing penalty, but honestly, why would you heal someone in the first place when you're infected?

Well tbh I still don't think they'd heal. We know how little affect Thanata has and survivors don't care about that.

I'd like maybe that 10% slow and either the vomiting animation give them periodic animation locks for it OR the Black Incense affect at base while broken.

The little bit of slow will help her getting completely gen rushed which is what's happening right now and one of those other 2 effects to make it a little more dangerous to stay injured so they want to cleanse.

  • Just someone who wants to bully the killer.

Ironically the same survivor that will DC on their first down or as soon as they see the killer brought a mori.

  • That would be a nice change.

I actually think ToTH shouldn't even be a hex perk. They should just need to cleanse more dull totems if they want the hex easier to cleanse.

  • One big tip for you.

    Fake your direction.

This means walking one way while facing the other direction to hide your red stain.

  • Agreed. Against a good group of survivors with BL there isn't much you can do. Quite easily abusable.

  • Skill checks are too easy to matter.

That said, Legion does need buffs.

I'd like if FF hits on injured players gave a drastically longer Mend timer. This wouldn't make it more deadly but at least more punishing in time wasting if they refuse to heal.

Perks that affect healing should also affect Mend.

I'd touch on his addons but they already said they were looking at tweaking them.

The biggest thing hindering him isn't his design though, it's poor map design. There's too many pallets and windows to make staying injured dangerous.

  • I wish they would get a little more liberal with the PTB to test some more drastic changes just to see what would happen.

Even if it was just number tweaks since those would require very little work.

  • Well previously it was too easy to rank up which put a lot of potatoes at red ranks that shouldn't have been there. These potatoes are what made the games imbalance less noticeable. Now that "most" the potatoes have been kicked out, the imbalance is just more noticeable.

  • @Shad03

Both sides played very well I think the game is quite heavily in survivors favor, even if they're all solo's. It isn't even close.

SWFs just exacerbates the imbalance even more, but it would still be unbalanced regardless.

There are obviously some small exceptions to this like Nurse but generally speaking. Any M1 killer is getting absolutely destroyed against an equally skilled group of randoms.

To give it even more perspective, you could let the M1 killer use any perks with all survivors running zero perks and he would still get wrecked. So you can see how unbalanced it is when you also throw a DS, MoM, Adrenaline, BT/DH/BL onto each survivor as well. This is because the core of the imbalance comes from bad map design.

This is assuming all sides are playing very well, IE a rank 1 match with no boosted potatoes. The reason we don't see this happening ALL the time is because there are a ton of boosted potatoes.

When any of the M1 killers are destroying it's because the survivors just played very poorly.

The frustrations the two sides are getting here are different though. When you lose as survivor it's because either you or your team played badly, IE low ranks or just potatoes in general. When you lose as the killer it generally has nothing to do with you, the survivors just didn't mess up.

As survivor you can fix this frustration by getting better at the game or getting better teammates, IE there IS a solution to the problem.

As killer there is no fix, which is why it's especially frustrating. Unless the survivors play badly you just lose. There's nothing you can do except decide to play Nurse.

Like I said this is assuming both sides are playing very well. The game is balanced around low ranks and assuming that the survivors will play badly, IE where all the second chance perks come from that get abused by survivors that don't make mistakes.

  • It's pretty sad how fast people rage quit, even with a mori. I've won plenty of matches when a mori was thrown. Even if we are gonna die I see it as a challenge to try and pip before dying.

Which is why I have the phrase 'As Unbiased as Possible'. Much as I wish it so, I know no one can be truly unbiased. But some people can accept when they're wrong.

But I do wanna know if you both think you're generally unbiased in terms of killer and survivor gameplay. Or if you think one side is better then the other (I doubt people would admit that actually, now that I think about it).

"Or if you think one side is better then the other"

Are you referring to in terms of game balance or in terms of one side being less biased?

"But I do wanna know if you both think you're generally unbiased in terms of killer and survivor gameplay"

I genuinely believe I am. I literally play both sides at rank 1 regularly and I play almost every day, all day (too much probably). I'm on the receiving end of both sides regularly. My survivor play is also 99% solo so i'm also comparing it at the worst side of it.

  • An interesting idea that I've tossed around before as well.

They need to find a way of better balancing the high ranks while not destroying the lower ranks. Currently they are focused on the lower ranks only which leaves high ranks as a giant dumpster fire of imbalance.

  • I don't think anyone here can be truly unbiased unless they play both sides in red ranks regularly. You really have to experience both sides at the cutting edge to have a more clear view of what is or isn't balanced.

That's an opinion that a lot of people on here don't like because it will exclude many of them, but I think it's true. People don't want to believe they could be wrong.

  • I didn't realize you could hit through something like the picket fences on Haddonfield. So if the survivor is too close to them on the other side they will still get hit.

  • I haven't seen this many upvotes on a post in a while. Especially on the topic of wanting to give a killer buffs with zero downvotes. This should tell the devs that Plague really does need help when even the survivors feel bad for her.

  • It does feel excessive. Especially the double pallets being back...again.

  • This is what I want.

These days, you can give up BVHR on making viable killers. They're mostly just artwork after artwork for both sides. The only thing you can hope for is that their new killer/survivor has decent perks that are worth using on both sides. One thing I hope they end up adding is a perk that punishes a survivor for using Obsession perk. Like for example, If you are obsession, you get exposed status effect for the entire game or something, Then maybe survivors will think twice when using perks such as Decisive strike Or Meddle of man if they had some actual risk attached to them.

Well we need the obsession to be risky at base, not ANOTHER perk to band aid fix their base game problems.

I agree though, they just don't make viable killers. Spirit was their one fluke.

  • @prayer_survivor said:

Why survs DC? Because they think the game is not balanced: moris, campers, omega-blink, some addons, tunneling. They do it to punish the killer for it and not let him gain the hooks. I think the solution is to balance the game, but the easiest way to remove DC is make DC=3 hooks of this survivor (no penalty for killers). This way you won't see any DC, but more hook suicides.

"Because they think the game is not balanced"

They all think this because they only play one side and have no idea what they're talking about. They think if they went down it's because of imbalance and not just because they played bad. Zero responsibility on themselves.

"I think the solution is to balance the game"

The problem is this means moving the balance even further from where they want it to go.

  • Zero.

That would be a very, very terrible thing to implement for the game.

Splitting the playerbase is an extremely risky thing and if it was going to be done it would need to be for a very good reason IE the SWF issue.

Doing it just too add a new game mode would not be smart whatsoever.

  • "You can tell an involuntary DC because the icon changes and makes no sound mid-game."

I just highly disagree with this.

They don't coincidentally get DC'd involuntarily right as I walk over to pick up each person for their first hook and this is 90% of the DC's at least.

Also, the icon changing with no sound can literally be the difference of them plug pulling or just hitting leave game.

You are making A LOT of assumptions in this analysis that just aren't accurate.

  • Yeah there's a couple maps it would be strong, but being only viable on a couple maps isn't good.

  • He looks like another throw in the mid tier pile, aka non viable. The maps and game design just aren't built for stealth killer viability.

Keep in mind though, he hasn't even been released yet. This is literally completely speculation, so quite meaningless. They could hypothetically change how he works a lot before release.

  • It is way, way too loud I agree. Especially on Spirit it makes hearing survivor sounds very difficult. It needs to be turned down a little.

  • @Bellers said:

@Blueberry yes, it still didn't work. You did give me the idea of resetting the console, and that seemed to do the trick. I swear I did that already, but regardless, thanks.

No prob, every time I have long que's that is usually the issue.

  • I just think she needs the "auto aim" long lung removed. This would give her more counter play. The auto lunge is so far reaching that the Nurse player has to really mess up hard to still miss even after a decent juke.

This is actually true, I'm thinking of playing spirit as my next killer and would like to actually give her some clothes...but most of her outfits are just kimonos, even just an actual glass-like katana would be cool. I kinda like the nails and colours/pattern on the new cursed one though but it's cells only I'm pretty sure.

Yeah I want a skin that actually changes how she looks like the Clown ones, not just her walking to the closet and throwing on a different shirt and shorts, which is basically what she has so far.

  • I got a good chuckle lol

  • Have you completely closed the game and re-opened it?

Generally when this happens it's because an update came in and you havn't downloaded it yet.

  • @Condorloco_26

"Outside of ethnicities (which already have been taken into consideration, lowering the number to 8%) colorblindness has no ties to age, social or economic status, hobby predilection, or videogame genre preference. Meaning, the 8% will most likely translate unchanged."

    You're missing my point entirely.

You can't consider 8% in terms of the potential DBD players that would want to play because of this change. The vast majority of that 8% would not be interested in DBD regardless of the change, that is my point.

"you'll still find approx 8% of those 14,000 living their lives affected by colorblindness."

You can't parallel those two things. 8% of the population would not mean 8% of the steam player base.

"That amounts to 1,120 guys only on Steam"

That isn't an accurate number because of the stipulations I mentioned above.

    "I'm sure it's a considerable amount."

Based on the things I've stated above you are coming to an inaccurate assumption. It is much, much lower than you are presuming.

  • @GrootDude said:

@Blueberry I’ve quoted this from Peanits but I cut part of it out since the rest was just explaining the new enduring.

    1. This way we can re-evaluate stun perks and better balance their stun times. Currently we need to make sure that anything affected by enduring lasts long enough that it doesn't render enduring completely useless. Take a look at DS, for example. It was a 4 seconds stun, where the survivor was locked into the animation for one second. This leaves you with only ~1.28 seconds to run if the killer is using DS. As a result, the stun time was raised to 5 seconds, giving you ~1.85 seconds to run. With that in mind, we could potentially lower it back down to 4 seconds (or even 3 seconds) after this change, making it more consistent whether or not you're using enduring.

It basically allows us better control over balancing stun perks so you're not forced to run enduring just to counter them. All things considered, you probably aren't getting hit with stun perks all too often currently. Decisive strike is easily avoidable and Head On is like a unicorn (it just doesn't exist, and I won't believe you if you say you've seen one). Ultimately you're going to save loads more time with the pallet stun reduction than you would lose from stun perks.

Yeah I already knew about most all that.

"All things considered, you probably aren't getting hit with stun perks all too often currently"

    I disagree.

    "Decisive strike is easily avoidable"

    I disagree.

"Head On is like a unicorn (it just doesn't exist, and I won't believe you if you say you've seen one)"

Head On isn't really what I'm referring to in relation to getting hit with stuns.

"Ultimately you're going to save loads more time with the pallet stun reduction than you would lose from stun perks."

I'm not sure what your point is with all this. This is way off topic and not what we're talking about in this thread at all.

It's an interesting topic, I'd just rather not derail OP's thread.

  • Their posts are off topic.

Also, it was literally only 2 people that said they think the devs might lower the DS stun time. They were guessing what the devs might do, not what should be done. This means they mentioned nothing about what they wanted done to DS at all.

That's why the post didn't make any sense.

Maybe you're taking into account numbers from a mostly white population. I come from a different ethnicity though. I also mentioned a percentage of a male population, as females are very rarely affected by it.

Maybe I'm out of the park wrong, but I assumed DbD is played *mostly* by males. Maybe 70% at least??. I don't have any numbers about that, though, so it is a rough guess only.

The data I'm using is world wide and not limited to strictly one population.

DBD is mostly males. For strictly males we are looking at a blanket worldwide amount of 8%. Now cut that 8% down for the ages that typically would be playing games. Now cut it again for the small percentage of those aged males that play games that also happen to like Dead By Daylight by chance. You're realistically looking at probably a 1% or around there. It is a very, very minute amount.

  • She has been an issue for a very, very long time. Her built in camo is worth at least a perk slot or 2 in value.

Wait, so Endurings 75% recovery on pallets is getting a BUFF?

    Yes.

It's going to very, very slight, but it will reduce them by a tiny bit more. However now it will no longer affect any other stuns such as Head On, DS etc.
