I see. That seems quite good then. Also found an add on called Red Paint brush. Is it any good? Says it reduces the terror radius.ChesterTheMolester said:
Freddy is probably the only Killer that can make use of insidious outside of camping for mindgames, bluffing and tracking.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
Insidious on Freddy? How did I never think of that myself. Monitor and Abuse is probably one of my favourite perks and Blood Warden is hilarious when you catch cocky players with it lol. NOED speaks for itself I think. The build sounds good but a little end game reliant. Which is fine by me since Ruin has a habit of getting destroyed in the first 10 seconds.Peasant said:
For Freddy: Insidious, Monitor and Abuse, NOED, and Bloodwarden. Insidious and Abuse helps you see the dreamer auras. NOED and Bloodwarden will exploit thier arrogance and T-bags.Blood_Coil_Viper said:I'd probably join one of the groups if I could find a good build for either of them. Monitor and Abuse is a good options for aggressive hit and run tactics, 16m TR with little time to react. -
Well that still helps newer players at least. I don't think they'd ever buff NOED 3 though.. survivors would not like that. Some even complain about the NOED 1 and 2 buffs.MhhBurgers said:NOED wasn't buffed. If you had NOED3 before the patch nothing changes for you, if you only had noed1/2 you wouldn't use it until you got noed3, the devs just made it so the perk is worth using at level 1-2 instead of only level 3.

Perks that slow the game down should be optional if you want more time not required to have any chance. As a Hag main I can end chases extremely quickly but that needs time to set up. Sure it's way faster then it used to be but even with that gens are still too quick. With the perks I currently have I feel like I'm forced to run Ruin and can't use the slot for anything else.PhantomMask20763 said:
Exactly, we cant continue relying on perks to slow down the game. I can play a pretty good match ending chases quick and finding others to chase yet gens get done almost instantly after a chase is over.Blood_Coil_Viper said:I agree with you here. We can't keep relying on perks to slow the game down. None of them do it well enough. They really do need to add some new objectives and maybe randomise them? So survivors don't instantly know what to do. -

I've been playing for awhile and don't remember that. Must of not played while the bug was up.Tzeentchling9 said:
It was a while back. They changed the UI for the Bloodwebs and that patch introduced a bug that removed the transition for getting blinded. It still took the same amount of time to "Blind" a killer, but from the killer's PoV, it was an immediate white screen without a build up to it. Freaking rediculous. Think the flashlight bug that the spirit had recently, but much worse.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
Wait what? How did that happen? That shouldn't even be possible.Tzeentchling9 said:I'm still amazed how adjusting the Bloodweb UI turned all the flashlights into Instablinds that one time. How the actual [BAD WORD]? -
Eventually someone will make a thread like this and mean it lol. Until then thanks for the laughs there.

The more viable killers the better. I'm hoping the Freddy rework helps him alot whenever it's out.ChesterTheMolester said:
We should honestly focus on buffing and reworking Freddy and LF while we are at it cause god knows we need them to be fun and viable.fcc2014 said:@Blood_Coil_Viper said:
I'd probably join one of the groups if I could find a good build for either of them. Anyone know a good Leatherface or Freddy build? For the Leatherface it wasn't about the player it was to bring back the old Leatherface mafia... @EpicFailTryHard got banned. He was funny, annoying but entertaining. Spent a ton of time on here and a bunch of us are showing support for him.

I know. It just feels right to try both characters because I never play either lol.fcc2014 said:@Blood_Coil_Viper said:

I was surprised when I heard that Freddy won. Of all killers. As for the perk of my choice there I'll probably pick Insidious for tracking. And the 2 teachable perks I've already unlocked for him so no extra effort there.ChesterTheMolester said:
He is underrated. During the anniversary tournament the console players where smart enough to use him properly and win. Which raised some eyebrows. Same with Marths depip squad experiments where i think he performed slightly better than most.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
I know. Freddy basically plays like a normal killer though he's a bit underrated in my opinion. His tracking abilities are actually pretty decent.ChesterTheMolester said:
Hes actually not as difficult as Hag. Feel free to take your time though since he has a lot to work with kinda like Myers.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
I'll have to practice a bit since I usually play as Hag who obviously has a very different playstyle to Freddy.ChesterTheMolester said:
No problem.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
I see. Well I think I'll level him up a bit so I can properly use perks and add ons. Thanks.ChesterTheMolester said:Oh and i forgot to mention Sloppy Butcher is one if not his best perk. If you go for hit and run tactics to disrupt them even without the current healing nerf it will take solid 45 seconds to heal at minimum if you count slowdown and repositioning after failed skillcheck
(if they are smart enough not to risk being pulled back in).
After the Helloween update survivors can look forward to a solid minute for each hit.
Experiment with a lot of builds, now that i think of it Save The Best For Last is amazing since the Obsession cant do anything about it.
The other chasing perks like Bamboozle, Spirit Fury, BS and Enduring are decent too.
There are tons of options for Freddy, i suggest experimenting with it, which is also very fun.
However i can safely claim that Ruin is inferior to Sloppy Butcher and Pop goes the Weasel as far as stalling perks are concerned.
I edited my previous post but i will repeat it. Its my build recommendation for you so your head doesnt explode while learning him.
BBQ or Whispers
Sloppy Butcher
Monitor and Abuse
and a perk of your choice.
Edit: Felt weird to say pick Insidious for tracking lol. -

So no terror radius similar to tier 1 Myers meaning you almost always see sleeping people? That sounds good. I'll check the guide later when I get time.ChesterTheMolester said:

Combine it with sloppy butcher (or NC) and refuse to go for loops (cause Hag speed). Get a hit on tgem and if they reach a giant loop just ignore them to pull other people in the dream world and catch them healing.
Red Paint Brush is an amazing salt mining addon if used properly.
Here is a somewhat decent Freddy guide:
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/92hxzi/how_to_wreck_with_the_power_of_darn_an_indepth
TL;DR if the guide: Balance chaos and disruption with hooks and kills, that is where his skillcap comes from. -

Well Brutes do use hammers as well remember. A modified version could be the weapon it uses. And I have to agree on the Evolve hunter there. I really enjoyed that game. Shame it's dead now though..AlphaJackson said:For survivors, I'd love to see an Evolve crossover with any of the hunters, but otherwise for a killer, I'd like to see a crossover with Halo, think about a brute chieftan of hunter as the killer! Ofcourse not with their guns..

I play on Xbox and I believe the Framerate is about the same as on PS4.. that is to say quite bad. So skill checks are even worse there then on PC I'd imagine
-
I'd probably join one of the groups if I could find a good build for either of them. Anyone know a good Leatherface or Freddy build?

This change to the perk would almost certainly fix most of it's issues. The current version is no risk high reward. A simple skill check isn't hard enough to call it a risk.. I do hope they consider this version of the perk.
-
I kinda knew threads like this would show up.. the devs don't want strong loops or infinites.. deal with it. They removed it for a different reason then you think.
-
Doctor? OP? I can think of a few killers who are way stronger at high level play.. as can most people.
-
They definitely need to do something for Prestige. Right now if you don't want the cosmetics there's no point to it. No reward or anything
-
It does seem like no matter what they do more bugs always show up..
-
I never understand the quote "rank doesn't matter" if it didn't matter why do so many players want to rank up slower or derank? Sounds to me it does matter. But hey that's just how I see it. I prefer the challenge of rank one over the push over rank 15 games.. if something is too easy it gets boring to me.
-
Some people are very questionable. But as others said you might want to edit the screenshot as a Mod may remove it if you don't. Just cover the names. That's all you have to do.No_Cluie_Louis said:@Blood_Coil_Viper said:
If you were hacking.. why would you make Ruin effect one more person of all things you could do? I don't understand. My exact point lol
-
I think you posted this exact same screenshot on a different thread. No Nurse doesn't need nerfs. If she's op well good killers are meant to be the power role.
-
How will Hangman's trick work with Sabo? I'd assume it would reduce the respawn time to 10 seconds still and then Sabo will add 30 seconds to that.
-
I agree with this. I feel like the Safety pip is sometimes too forgiving. It should be win or lose. Nothing in between.
-
I don't have a twitch account but I don't mind making one just to follow some smaller channels. Doubt it'll help much but every follow counts right?
-

-
Made up rules are always common on asymmetric games. I don't think that'll ever change.
-
No matter what others say your opinions do matter here and we need more unbiased ones in this community.
-
Let the thread die people. There's been enough arguing here now. I feel sorry for the op. This isn't what he wanted to happen on the thread.
