  • Tone will never be fone!!!

  • 2 weeks after the ptb ends

  • and im really sick of people throwing the word "entitlement" around so much, half the time seemingly not knowing what it means...

  • The pig is perfectly fine, I agree wtih @Lord_Tony that the hatch should not be something you escape through with an active trap.

(infact imagine how awesome the animation could be, a survivor jumping up to get in, the trap goes off, their head explodes and their lifeless body drops down on the other side from where they jumped)

What we should do something about is the RNG element, its just weak the design to have RNG for a part deterimine how will the match will go.

But I currently dont have an idea on how to make the traps still unpredictable etc but not be RNG

  • You do realise that turning it off does not work specifically because nobody agrees with you....right?

  • once you learn to play without perks (and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone, no joke, play matches without any perks and see if you can adept) everything becomes underrated and a cool and welcom addition.

  • @RivalJ said:

I've seen a few people saying they hope lucky break doesn't get nerfed too hard and yea i don't want the perk to be irreverent but almost all the meta perks in this game are "meta" because they are TOO good. I also think most people are just overlooking and dismissing a lot of perks that criminally underused because they don't want to stray from the meta which is unfortunate because there are a lot a underused survivor perks.

its the newer generation of gamers....things used to be better, we used to enjoy a challenge, now they ask what is the best and just run that and thats it, like playing against bots or something.

Imo a LOT of perks should be nerfed, perks should not determine the outcome of matches, how is that any fun or rewarding in any way? it should be skill, planning, strategy

  • Candyman people, COME ON!

  • I mean its pretty simple, wound as many as possible, then focus on one who is now one hit away from being downed.

Also use your mobility and cancel your power when there is no really use for it so the bar takes less long to fill when you do need it.

  • "My idea is that this base kit Deerstalker would activate only if the downed survivor has spent more than 2 minutes on the ground."

Lets rework this a bit, a survivor has a recovery bar, after this they get a "ending your life" bar, if that second bar is filling up the killer gets deerstalker on that survivor, if he ignores it the survivor can take their own live robbing the killer of sacrifice points etc

If the killer picks them up before they push the button to end their life (ala unbreakable, once the bar is filled) they can go ahead and hook them.

This gives survivors some power over the situation but also gives the killer the option to stop it from happening, all in all less frustrating for all.

  • Trickster, 4man, all Dead Hard and baiting to follow from a position of safety, be it a window or what.

Trickster being slow could basically not catch up and when he did....ez dead hard.

so yeah, I was out of there

The "yikes" part is that it's even possible in the first place. That would be like an afk survivor becoming completely invulnerable because the killer didn't hook someone else on a specific hook that was identical in every way to all the other hooks.

And also that survivor getting a key and knowing where hatch is.

    No, just no

  • @MadLordJack said:

Rework gens. Remove the holding m1 and replace it with item fetching to force potential interactions.

im in favor of this but you have to tread carefully regarding what points of interest the killer should/has to patrol

  • @MadLordJack said:

You get it by standing still and doing nothing.

uhh yeah good luck defending totems by standing still and doing nothign.......bro imagine survivors not doing totems when the killer is just standing there....and then calling the killer bad....yikez man

Solos shouldn't have to use items, perks, or add-ons to get information SWF get for free

you are going to really throw the game in the deep-end if you want to give solo's all the info a SWF squad has, you would basically be asking for a map-wide aura of the killer at all times for everyone.....

I agree that some things should be shown, like survivor perks to eachother before the match starts like on mobile, but giving all that totem information...idk....you have to tread very carefully.

on the other hand they COULD just try crap out for a month and see how it goes....but this dev team is for some reason completely against that.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

I love the people here like "Just cleanse all the dulls on sight" not realising that it means the other survivors who don't know when, where, or if the other totems were cleansed would then go around the map, as would you, to look for the remaining totems that no longer exist and this wasted time will kill your team.

Totem counter, basekit, solo buffs, please.

Bro this is literally the game though is it not? run Detectives Hunch if you want to see how active your team is on taking down totems.... like if you go for an unhook and someone else is as well and that is your "waste of time" then....idk run kindred? never go for an unhook and hope your team fills that role? I just dont understand your mindset, you are against what is effectively the entire point of thegame.

  • 2 minutes on average but "The time it would take for a solo survivor to deal with all five totems would likely lead to their team's demise."

like what? how did you ever get to that conclusion?

Yes it is butthe killer might not have the perk at All we wont know until it is revealed to us then i look at the killer's perks and find out he doesnt have NOED AND the 3 other survivors begin yelling at me for being useless So it's a gamble ngl

ermm...yeah? but....that is like entirely what the game is about, guessing how survivors or killers are going to act, guessing what they might have and acting on it: "do they have discordance? hmmm maybe not be on a gen together, could be just coincidence but you never know" "do they have mad grit?....hmm lets try...oh im down, guess they did have it" "do they have dead hard? lets see if we can bait it out...hmm nothing ok going for a hit...OH DANG THEY DID HAVE IT but also balls of steel".

That is literally what the game is about, and if you team is chewing you out over preventing a potential noed, well thats on them, you know why you did it.

Course sometimes the situation is so dire its worth the risk to forget about the totems, but again, that is your choice, your risk assesement and it wont always be correct, if it was the game would be rather boring wouldnt it?

its a strong perk that becomes REALLY strong on already strong killers, there is no denying that, but survivors have the means to be very efficient with gens and totems and chases, the game in general is still considered survivor sided and it shows this with survivors that arnt much good in chases but simply know to do gens over everything else.

you can't depip without doing nothing. the safety pip is too easy to get.

ok then get safety pips, what does it matter, just play what you want with the perks you want and dont care about deranking because you happen to go against sweaty try hards, just derank to where those arent around as much and have some fun

    I have a confession.

It's me, I'm the new Killer.

This man is a lyer and a cheat, for it is I who is the actual new killer and my weapon of choice is a spoon

I meant wasting my time on cleansing totems while i could be saving my teammates or on gens That's why the killer has 7 or 8 hooks Because it's literally a 1v3

but....is it a waste of time when you are preventing NoeD from whiping out the entire team? again, its your choice if you want to run the risk but dont blame the perk for your choice.

Then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here. If a killer can use something in the game to become genuinely uncounterable which, when used by other killers, still provides solid ample counterplay, then it's the killer that's the problem, not what they're using.

I would before all that claim its hte players that are the problem who have so little self respect, but thats just me I guess....

what happened to gamers man...seriously, we used to love challenges, we used to have runs of RE with just the knive etc and look up to players doing that, we used to spend weeks on solving a puzzle in some adventure game.....

and now players ask and google "what is the best X" so they know what to use.....and in this game run the meta and all the add ons etc to help them along as much as possible....saddens me greatly.

heck personally I would LOVE a perkless mode for this game, no nonsense to save you, just you and your wits, strategy and skill

  • @ItzZane_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2124112#Comment_2124112

Let's just go and search the WHOLE map to find totems and waste my time on breaking them While the killer has 7 or 8 hooks by now and we're on 4 gens :)

NOED can be countered by SWFs but in solo Yeah no

Again, the whole argument so far is that NoeD rewards bad killers, if you cannot look for the totems in the obvious spots before the killer has 7 to 8 hooks then perhaps the killer was not bad at all? that is exactly my point.

Also playing solo, might I suggest Detective's hunch? pretty easy to find totems that way and determine if the team has done any of them already.....

If a killer can be that cracked strong using ######### in the game available to them in comparison to other killers using the same ######### available maybe they're the problem not what they're using.

I dont agree, the meta perks and cheap strats skew perception, just because bubba's can basement camp like no other and can get 4k's that way does not mean the killer is OP.

Its just players with no backbone using everything they can to give themselves an edge, which is frankly pathetic but should not reflect on the killer really, more on all that nonsense they use (and alos the "strats" I mentioned work well for most killers, just a bit better for thsoe who are also highly mobile)

  • There is sooo much potential for legendary skins here, Bitores Méndez being one of them for for example Deathslinger.

  • @ItzZane_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2124042#Comment_2124042

That's what i've been saying "Just do bones" Is literally "Just pressure gens" but for survivors lmao

NOED should reward killers who have gotten hooks by getting tokens and when you down a survivor in the endgame a token is consumed and all survivors are exposed and the more you down survivors your tokens are going to be lost 1 by 1

That way the perk would reward good killers

I will repeat myself again, NoeD currently ONLY rewards good killers, because good killers DO pressure gens hence the survivors barely have time/lives left to do them and they certainly dont have time to do totems.

So they are pretty much screwed, nobody is denying that NoeD is powerful.

If the killer is bad then survivors have all the time in the world to find and cleance the totems, if they choose not to, its on them.

Dead Hard for perspective rewards bad survivors but it REALLY rewards good survivors, in the hand of a good survivor its extremely hard to deal with and will cost you often twice as long to down someone,

  • Bro...then just depip.... rank does nothing for you, there is no benefit, you don't lose anything going to a lower rank.

Pls focus on having fun first, play killers you like with the perks you like and if that means "being stuck" at for example rank 10, who cares? Enjoy your matches

  • Very rarely because others usually do thing I gave little respect for, I had a plague the other day I was impressed with in terms of skill bur then she was also running effectiveness add ons and started returning to the hook.

That is just weak so no thumbs up from.me

  • Stop camping and tunneling and returning to the hook and don't run strider and Pop, if you drop all that cheap nonsense and you still 4k all the time you need to set up a streaming channel and link it here, I will be watching and judging if your claim about her being op is justified then

  • Dear lord you guys are boring, get a personality pls

  • Do whatever you want but I'm you care too much.

Know that even I you don't hit anyone you still only gain points, there is no negative.

Personally I don't care enough, I just play whatever is matched up with me

  • May 25th for the anniversary stream bro, it's still a ways off

  • And lull them into a false sense of security so they think the game will be fun and spend money on it before they are hit with the ruthless hammer of reality?!?

Bro that is so toxic, I'm in!

To be honest the majority of competitive DBD players are mediocre at best. Literally anybody can be a competitive DBD player and there are only a few teams who really stand out from the crowd. I agree there are players who are really freaking good at this game but they are a minority.

"To be honest the majority of competitive DBD players are mediocre at best"

no the average competitive dbd player is average, thats how those terms/words work

  • orrr maybe you got git gud?

  • its actually the other way around, it only works well for killers who do have skill, because its those killers that apply so much pressure that its barely doable to finish just the gens and you certainly dont have time ot also look for totems, and that is when NoeD hits.

If the killer has "no skill" then they apply no pressure and thus you have all the time in the world ot find and cleance all the totems.

Alright, don't run ds, unbreakable, dh, or any other meta perk just because you're not good enough to escape the killer base-kit, you're only ruining someone's fun.

Mind you I do play trickster, but I rarely camp and tunnel. Now I also rarely "win" with trickster, with being satisfied with 2 kills.

that comparison does not hold up, you choose to play a (iyo) weak killer only to then basically not play the game at all, so what is the point then? that is not even fun for you I would imagine.

So play an (iyo) stronger killer and actually have some fun.

as survivor there is not difference between them so you dont have that choice.

  • Now if only.they could make them part of the Base game and not hide them behind offerings or certain perks....

Like suggested so many times, make cypress mori base: one survivor.left that wasn't slugged at the time of becoming the last survivor (counter slugging for the 4k) can be mori'd giving a lot of bonus points to the killer "grand finally" and also some bonus points to.the survivor "are you not entertained?".

  • As a measure of time invested... sadly overwhelmingly yes.

As a measure of skill....absolutely not.

  • Maybe watch it for a bit... just saying

Baiting out DH works on the average survivor aka most of the time, just always expect it

  • I think it's quite fun/Interesting to.have

  • Ermm who cares? They are always used together anyway alongside DH and adrenaline or unbreakable...ya know small pp meta

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

Recently made a thread about people complaining they get no value out of the 2nd chance builds because I play my killers without tunneling, camping or slugging.

And NOW people are complaining how horrible a nerf the new BT is for stealthkillers. However, BT now only works 12 seconds tops, meaning as a stealthkiller it only really affects your chance for a down/kill if your MO was stealthcamping and tunneling.

So, if you start playing fair it shouldn't bother you at all...

It's weird to see how people are crying bloody murder over their iWin buttons getting removed. You all oughta do some soulsearching

my only problem is that it kills variation, here is something that works a bit differently with some killers...oh wait cant half that, lets make it the same always everywhere, that will certainly spice things up....

If you can’t be found, you don’t need second chances.

yeah buuuut thats not how it will work for 99% of the cases and for 99% of the players aka it wont change the meta per definition

  • You are absolutely silly if you anyone is going to drop the second chance perks

  • you dont have to continue your match ya know, just end it and move on, its not worth your time

  • running the killer's own perks on the actual killer....smh

You telling me that when you down someone with victor you just ignore everyone you hear/ see and walk over to them to hook? pfft.

no? I down one, If I hear someone else I jump on their head, then go for charlotte and maybe down them but most likely just hook the downed individual

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 25
