Hillbilly’s base kit isn’t the issue, it’s his add ons
His addons definitely suck, BHVR really needs to stop doing perk lite addons.

Could be a perk honestly! Like a killers version of head-on where they bust through a wall and deal damage to anyone in the way. The kool aid man perk lol.
OH YEAH!!!

Dunno, Thompson house seems like a rare occurrence right now for whatever reason.

Claudette could use her trailer look too
Jake could as well, meg is basically the best out if the original 4 in terms of their reworks.

For blight, I would say allow him to m1 lunge out of a slam.
It's nothing too big, just a small QoL
(Also, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX HIS COLLISION )

Plus the facial hair looks awful

So first, revert the cooldown back to 3 seconds for victor's pounce.
Second, and this would be a major thing. With the new AI stuff they're doing, they could give charlotte some sort of simple chaser AI while you're controlling victor. Nothing too smart, just enough to be a nuisance.
Third, allow victor to vault windows. The fact that he can't is ridiculous.

Dwight's is my least favorite, and meg is my favorite.
Dwight looks less like a nervous yet slightly handsome leader like he does in the trailer. But more like a crackhead geek that can't grow any good facial hair.

Yeap. People just don't like doing so. For some reason
Ah yes let me play Myers or ghost face while crab walking towards the survivors, surely that isn't counter intuitive to their powers.

Honestly I'm really nervous about RE being included in dbd. Not only does it make DBD more popular, but it solidifies BHVR's position as the owner of the asymmetrical niche. Which means less actual competition, which means BHVR has little incentive to keep doing their best.

They really should have reset everyone to R20 so people would stop focusing on the rank numbers and instead on how the game went.
Well, my games have been absolutely terrible when I play any killer other than my main. Which sounds fine, but each killer is supposed to have individual MMR. The killers I've played the least are supposed to go against less experienced survivors so I can actually learn the killer without getting curbstomped.
But that isn't happening, instead I've been getting really good survivors on killers that I have zero idea how to play.
And like I mentioned in another comment above my survivor games have been mixed results. Most games I get potatoes, luckily I sometimes get good teammates.

It didn’t? I recall playing with rank 20s as a rank 1 survivor and getting slaughtered by rank 1 killers. “But rank doesn’t matter” when my team is literally within ~5 hours of buying the game.
MMR is all over the place. I can hardly distinguish it from the current system other than the ridiculously imbalanced matches it throws out sometimes. Like full rank 20 1 perk lobbies into rank 1 killers.
The emblem system is significantly better. A few tweaks and they can dumpster this Elo system that will ultimately have everyone spamming nurse, spirit, and SWFs.
What everyone can't seem to grasp is that MMR is a wildly varying experience for everyone.
For me personally it has been terrible for the killers I haven't played in a while. Usually with the killer specific MMR I should be facing against reduced skill survivors so I'm not immediately destroyed by using a killer I'm inexperienced with. Instead I've been getting the high skill survivors that the MMR system somehow deemed equal to to my poor twins.
My survivor experience has been a somewhat mixed bag. For the most part I've been paired with potatoes who are seemingly unfamiliar with the mechanics. With the occassional good match sprinkled in.
For me it seems like they've been dumping resources into something that isn't half ready for live deployment despite how long it's been in development.

I've been getting really good survivors on killers I haven't played in years. Which killer specific MMR was supposed to help with, surprising no one this test failed miserably in that regard.

Because survivors are relatable.
Their origins, looks, gender, nationality etc. So of course updating them will be a higher priority than killers.
Tell me, do you feel relatable to the Hillbilly by any chance?
Well I'm southern so yeah, and killers aren't meant to be entirely relatable, and neither are survivors.
If you graphically reworked people off of relatability then you'd have a very small roster of overhauled survivors, and maybe one killer.

@Mooks said:
it’s really not necessary to turn every topic into a survivor vs. killer topic.. there were already some killers updated and the process for survivors is probably easier in a batch as they are already just skins of one another where killers all have unique animations
This isn't a a survivor vs killer issue, don't strawman my post.
I'm simply curious when we'll see more of the killers recieve model overhauls.

I like most of them, but David's is a flop for me and Nea and Feng are okay-ish.
The video of nea's didn't do her justice. They must have improved something in the face because the still of her actually looked pretty damn good.

@PassarinoT said:
Nurse, too.
She got one somewhat recently.
It's happening, slowly but surely. I think they're just focusing on survivors atm bc this will mean they can implement new animations for them universally but killers would require individual reanimation.
It just sucks that it's taking so long for that to happen. Especially when it seems like they're pumping out survivor overhauls in the blink of an eye.

Oooo I've had one idea rolling around in my head for a while.
Basically, it would be a Halloween only game mode called Blight harvest. Where no gens would be present on the maps, Instead visceral cankers spawn in their place and in other locations. The match would have a time limit of 10 minutes, after which the collapseactivates, and the exit gates get powered.
The survivor objective would be to fill your personal vial, much like the original 2018 event. But you have to take it to various chemistry stations around the map to purify the serum, and fill the overall team vial ( which Grant's various post game bonuses such as bloodpoint and event point gains )
Survivors could choose to inject a small amount of raw serum for short term benefits. Such as a small increase of speed, or the ability to smash one breakable wall. But using too much in a short span will cost a health state.
Not much changes for killers, other than the fact that they can interact with cankers as well. They can get a .02 m/s increase to their speed for 60 seconds, or they can get a breaking/vault speed increase. If they are really lucky they'll gain the ability to one hit a survivor.
All effects caused by the blight serum are random sometimes RNG will be on your side, other times it'll be something small.
-
Just the way the game is, sometimes your teammates decide to leave you at the hook. Which ultimately forces the killer to chase the only readily available survivor ( AKA you ).
Other times the killer needs to assert a massive amount of pressure by attempting to get rid of a single survivor.
And sometimes the killer is a twat. Not much you can do about it other than be in a SWF to try and coordinate a rescue.
-
That one tire in that horror movie. Forgot the name of it.
Some of you may know what I mean though.
-
Tropical would be a neat theme, but it couldn't be too brightly colored. DBD is usually about darker colors, with some cosmetics ( and one killer ) bringing some brightness to the game.

This whole situation is so dumb, if BHVR didn't go full damage control over something so small ( and inconsequential ) we'd all be going about our business right now.

Two words, Double standards.

Make him normal speed, still doesn't solve the problem of his recoil being awful to deal with on console though.

I mean the Q&A are all softball questions and cherry picked any way.
Yeah but at least it's something, ever since they've been working from home it feels like they've essentially had zero contact with the community.
Now that the QnA's aren't happening anymore it feels like the devs are now completely ignoring us. Aside from the occassional tone deaf comment on the forums.

Probably not because I'll pester then about Console Optimization lmao
You and me both.
My Ps4 still sounds like a rocket during liftoff when it runs DBD.

It seems like something so basic is being taken out of our hands. Especially when many other ( HIGHLY COMPETITIVE ) games just give us a slider in the settings.

Should be basekit
Literally all I want is to be able to see stuff properly.

Not a bad change, actually would work well for my scrooge McBlight build I bring out for winter.

The QAs stopped due to covid. AFAIK, they are still working remotely which is largely why the QAs haven't been done.
But they still did QnA's from home, seems odd to stop doing them out of nowhere.
