And your posting was not entitled? Serious guy, you talk like the prime example of a hurted survivor main, but go on :)
To come to your question, because mainy survivor accross the social media plattforms create the impression that they would not like to learn something new and that since years and if you see something like this over and over and overrr... again... At one point it will grown to a popular opinion.
And no matter how you see it, it is easy to addapt to this opinion since every killer who is different to the usual m1 gameplay got already nerfed by bhvr because of survivor complainments, or survivors have them "in work" for being nerfed in the future.
If someone is interested in new gamestyles, or has no problems with them, he says not "nerf them!", instead he ask: "what is the best tactic against xyz?".
That said, I know that the common survivor is different to this common opinion about survivors.
The survivors I met in the game are either silent or friendly in 99%. The survivors I met here in the bhvr forums are to 99% either toxic or some kind of survivor main who need someone which holds his hands the entire match because he can't find the "w" key on his keyboard.
If survivors want to change something on this common picture, they should give killer mains a reason to respect them and the way to it would not be, to write new nerf threads every day, or lying right out, or exaggerating about killer/abilities - it would be to talk about killer/abilities from a serious standpoint out.
The same btw. applies also to talks about potential survivor nerfs.
In the last days was here to see a great example of what I mean:
Some "hero survivor streamer" had made a video why Deathslinger is so terrible and many survivor mains have done everything to let the message of that video become a reality.
A few days after, a more common killer streamer made a video that found its way to this forums and immediately we have found survivor mains who tried to down play the video.
If those survivor mains would like to be taken serious, they would have act on the same to the survivor video, as they did to killer video.
That is just my 2 cents to it.
Do you even know what entitled means pleb? Lol maybe look it up before trying and failing at coming at me.

There is a problem in this game. Most survivors suck at it, but the top 10% are almost unbeatable. So the survivors that get dunked on by strong killers complain, and the killers that deal with strong swf also complain.
Spirit is one of the few killers that give you a chance against the top teams, but that means she is strong against average people. If you nerf her, it makes the top teams all the more unbeatable, especially since the devs refuse to address gen speed, the swf advantage, or the meta.
Thats just not true. To say most survivors suck at the game. You just seem like you have a salt fueled bias.
-
You want to talk about entitlement but then criticise survivors for doing their objective. Their main objective isn't to walk you around the map like a dog, it's to do gens and nail those skill checks. If you were a decent killer, survivors wouldn't just be doing gens. They'd be in chases, unhooking, healing, doing totems, etc. If you are getting games where all survivors are doing is pressing m1, that's because of you, not them.
Also who are you to criticize someone on what they chose to do with their money? If they have fun holding m1 and it's worth it to them then stop being a judgemental jerk.
-
The forums are majority killer mains. I've seen so many toxic cry baby entitled killer main posts who literally demand the devs to constantly nerf survivors even more. Its frustrating to read and it's pretty sad honestly.
-
Wow there are so many entitled killer mains thinking survivors can still take games hostage in the current state of the game. God you guys are cry babies. What else do you want? Survivors to have -200 speed decrease?

You've missed my point completely. The fairness of mori's or keys wasn't up for debate. The topic which you started was that you act in a bullyish manner to people who bring a mori.
Now if your use of that term is to mean you play to the best of your ability to avoid being mori'd, good for you.Typically it denotes behaviour with the intent of ruining someone else's experience. If that's your intent, then that is toxic. Your comments can be construed as that latter being your intent as its in response to what you see as an unfair mori. You also kinda confirm it in your replies being very defensive and aggressive.
Looping and juking is just gameplay so I have no idea what you intend on bringing them up as I never mentioned them. It feels like you are fishing for elements in the game that may annoy me in an effort to win what you perceive as an argument. When all I did was point out that if you are drastically switching up your game play in response to moris with bullying being the intent perhaps you should take the game less seriously.
It doesn't bother me when I get mori'd or key escapes, or juked or looped for that matter, that's the game. If it pisses you off so much why do you play?
As for the rest it is just rambling, I made my point twice now and you have confirmed it beautifully with your responses. I stand by my first assessment, grow up.
Im just done with you because you're trying to act as if you're high and mighty, judging other people's play style and pushing your narrative that has no backbone. Dead by daylight is a competitive game. You are competing against the opposite side. People can take competition games seriously. Doesn't mean that they're not having fun or is "upset so what's the point of even playing". No where did I say I was upset, it's just annoying to be instantly taken out of a game I waited so long to get into and wasted offerings and items for.
And so what if I want to be toxic? 8/10 killers I play against use some different forms of toxic behavior to win. Why is it any different if I do it? What if I do it to have fun?
How fragile are you? Is tbagging toxic to you? Do you find the spam of the crouch button toxic? Do you lecture the majority of the player base on why that's mean, toxic, rude, etc? No, you probably don't, so don't try to do it here. I play to have fun and that's exactly what I have - fun. How I have fun is none of your concern or business.
The reason I am "aggressive" in my replies to you is because you instantly come into my post being judged and calling me immature. Don't get passive aggressive with me then cry about my replies being more direct then vague like you.

No I don't need to be bullied by you to point out your bad behaviour here. In fact I'm largely immune to it because its a game and I don't take it very seriously. But what I do see a lot of is very childish responses to something a trivial as a MORi. I'm judging your level of maturity by your poor reaction to a mori, moreso now by the rather abusive and aggressive response to my point.
You admit with very narrow description, specifically 'bullying', going out of your way to play in a manner you perceive as impactful and negative as possible for someone else purely because they brought an item allowed by the game. You do this with the intent of 'bullying' them.
Can't you see how this is a very childish mindset, your stated goal is to bully someone because you get upset about mori's. If they upset you so much maybe you should look at how seriously you take the game.
If your intent is to try your best to escape the killer because they have a mori, then great give it your all, but that's not how you put it. You can't get upset when someone calls you out for promoting a toxic attitude, its the first line of your original post.
Is not toxic lmfao you're reading so far into this to push a false narrative. What are you? Dbd jesus? Get off your high horse. The only one upset here is you buddy, bully is a term most survivors use when they play as good as they can, making the killer miss, juking them, escaping every time. Its just the term we have use instead of saying outplayed. Its not promoting toxicity, how you turned it into that is beyond me. You clearly haven't been playing this game long enough.
And if you want to talk about moris being fair and in the game (which they're not fair, anyone with a braincell can see that and even the devs see that) then I can make the argument that God looping and juking is also in the game. Hence why I do it to bully killers WHO INSTANTLY WANT TO TAKE ME OUT OF THE GAME. That's not fair to me but oh no, poor killer and his ebony Mori, just let him use it it's in the game. πππ
Moris aren't fair for survivors just like keys aren't fair for killers, hence why the devs are looking into changing both to work differently. So get out of here with that bs. Yes I did respond aggressively cause you're going to sit there with your entitled self and call me immature for playing a certain way to avoid being moried. Cry me a river.

So someone brings a mori and you want to engage in a toxic manner, but its ok if they have a cosmetic because you like them. This has got to be one of the silliest posts I've ever read. You shouldn't mind being mori'd regardless and if you do, you are probably not mature enough to play competitive games. Grow up.
Lmao did I bully you? When I see someone bring a Mori, I expect it to be the worst, as anyone who's been playing long enough should. I'm done with getting Moried at the begining of every match. I'm not going to just lie there and accept it. You're so entitled it's disgusting. And you don't know me so you have no ground to judge my maturity. YOU clearly can't handle competitive games if you get upset about someone outplaying you and denying you your Mori. Maybe make it worth my time and get an epic cosmetic so it'll at least look cool.
When I say bully, I mean I'll purposefully god loop them, I'll be extra and make sure I stun them with a pallet, I'll make it so hard to get me because if I'm getting Moried, might as well get a ton of bloodpoints before I go. So get out of here with that bs cause you clearly are the immature one here mate.
-
I remember I brought a Mori on legion while I had one of the bunny outfit equipped and they all flocked to me after they saw I brought a Mori, it was funny.
Then next round I brought a Mori for Spirit cause I had a ton and I had a cute outfit on her. I follow my own rules and dont bring moris unless I have a cute outfit. But I had a last second swf switch (one was ace one was Claudette, last second they both switch to Dwight with the same cosmetics, one had a flashlight). I downed and hooked the non flashlight one first before any gens which was easy but then the other Dwight came and started spam clicking his flashlight at me. Every chance he got he tried to blind me which was annoying, and every time I swung he 360 or 180 me. I'm not the best at killer but it was a corn map and he wore the yellow ellis shirt so he like vanished every time. I finally got him at the end and all gens popped. I hooked him next to the door and camped cause he clearly wanted my attention, I even tried chasing others but he was there with his flashlight. His friend tried to be cheeky and open the door right next to me so I downed him with noed and brought him in front of his hooked friend to Mori him. He disconnected and called me a bunch of names lol I let the other two go. But like a rank 1 survivor queueing up with a rank 17 survivor getting a rank 13 killer. I gave them the attention they wanted.

Survivor is far from easy. I've been playing for 4 years now and the state the game is in now, with how many killers you can choose, the perks, gen speeds, totems, loops, everything, it's increased the difficulty for survivors by a ton. These entitled killer mains clearly never solo queue as survivor at red ranks. Most of my games are me (red rank), killer (red rank), and my three team mates (rank 20, 17, and 10). Sadly that's a normal game for me. I've had to learn to tank killers for my team. I'd even get toxic and tbag so they'll stick on me cause I know that if they go after my team, they'll all die, fast. Doing gens isn't a hard task - when the killer is occupied with someone else.
-
I played snoot boop pig the other night cause I've never seen one on console and the survivors had no idea what I was doing. When a pig is crouched she spamming the growl, she wants the boops. I was going to just kill them but the Feng finally understood what was happening and bolted to me before I killed her team mate and booped me. I nodded at her and crouched away. She saved her team that day.
-
I was rank 13 last night, now 14 cause I kept getting all red rank survivors.
-
I always run botany and so I tbag after unhooking so they know to stay and get healed. Hell even if we cut it close I'll take the hit. But tell me why I've had so many red ranks run from the hook directly into the direction the killer went after they were hooked? Like why...

"rarely ruins good killers games"
So you admit there is a chance that the perk can be completely OP.
And yes I will complain about DS until my death, at the cost of spending all my money even, because it's too strong and will never accept that popular opinions confutate what the reality is.
Its not too strong, that's the thing. Maybe when youre up against a swf and you try to tunnel all of them. I've only got hit with DS once and that was last night cause I legit couldn't tell if I recently hooked them. It was five seconds and soon after I caught them again. Getting 4ks isn't hard when survivors run those perks. I just go after someone else. You have a leatherface profile pic, you should have BBQ and chilli. Use that to go after others and stop tunneling.

No, it's not intended, its added in as a backup to prevent the last survivor from hiding for hours on end refusing to 1v1 work on gens.
It's a by product to end the game. At best.
You think this whole game was made centered around the killers? How small of a mind do you have to have to think that? The hatch has been in the game longer than end game collapse. If it was added with it then your argument may have some ground. Hatch was always there for last survivor so they didn't have to do the remaining gens (almost impossible to do) or try to leave via gates with no team to distract for you.
This toxic elitest mindset is exactly what's ruining the game.

This game is a team game. Getting the pity escape is your failure to function as that team. It should count as a fail state because you failed.
Unless the Blendette who was hiding all game was just #winning that entire time she watched her friends die.
I've been playing 3 years and it's always been the case outside of keys shenanigans and the all gates open hatch flex.
And I've been playing for 4 years and your mindset is idiotic. An escape is an escape, just how killers say a kill is a kill. Finding hatch is still the objective for the last survivor.

I hope this is a joke... it is, right?
Not many people use inner strength anymore. I'm good at losing the killer but sometimes I'll get hit first. I don't want to rely on my team healing me every time when there's no more totems left. I just run botany and my healing is extremely fast.

Ok, then the second argument, cause I'm sorry tot ell you, any decent surv who plays solo does NOT use Self Care, we use the best self healing perk, Inner Strenght, and now we have a problem, cause I want the totem too, and if you beat me to one, that doesn't change the fact that I like to play hero, you taking my totem doesn't make me want to save you less, but well, that's just my game style
Any decent survivor uses self care. No one has time to find a totem then run to a locker.

You're bypassing the intended means of escape. If killers get penalized for expediting the match (killing too fast) survivors shouldn't get rewarded for doing it either.
And should you really be rewarded for letting your whole team die? It's not a glory hole, it's the pathetic pit.
You're not understanding what this game is. Killers don't get penalized for killing too fast, they just don't earn as much bloodpoints as they could of since they didn't have the time to do other things throughout the match.
Also finding the hatch IS an intended way to escape. When you're the last survivor, which is usually when people use the hatch, it literally tells the last survivor that they should look for it. Its their last way to escape.
-

Let's be honest Deadhard is the strongest exhaustion perk there is. Majority of high rank survivors still use it when apparently it fails 50% of the time. It's problematic perk because it allows you to undo killers mind game just by pressing a button. There is no outplaying deadhard in certain situations
Bait it out early. Take advantage of survivors not watching where there going. Deadhard isn't hard to play against at all. The amount of red ranks who still deadhard into a wall during a chase is countless.
-
Go crazy, go stupid.
No but seriously keep your eye on survivors movements when you're in feral frenzy. They will almost always try to 360 you to get you to cancel your frenzy. If you have time to spare, make sure you're so close to them before swinging. Lunging isn't guaranteed.
-
If you're going to play like that, don't complain when survivors voice their opinions about your playstyle.
-
Yes, it is camping. BUT it's camping that isn't your fault. You're essentially being forced to camp because of that moron looping you by hook. Survivors HATE other survivors who do that and I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct a survivor at the end of the game after they get me killed.
Now it would be nice and epic gamer of you to go after the looper and not tunnel the victim of the looper. Technically it wasn't the hooked persons fault and it's sorta cruel to not even let them fight to survive.

Actually, if they add another hook state that would result in killers having to hook survivors 16 times instead of 4 times, so the early game phase wouldn't really end up changing anything. The problem many people have is that they feel like killers just don't have enough time in able to hook survivors the required amount of times when going against an optimal survivor team. Which is why the early game phase is supposed to give killers a bit more time to actually have a fair chance of winning, since gens can be repaired so fast.
Now whether you agree with that or not depends of course, I only partially agree with this, but that's just the point of the early game phase, or at least people hope that that's the point of the early game phase.
I guess I get screwed by matchmaking cause the killers I go against don't need an extra phase. They do their job quick.

He was probably trying to bait your teammate with the cloak, then he camped until you were in struggle to make sure you would be dead on next hook.
But idk because I act like an idiot when I play survivor.
Out of curiosity, what is the signal you used to indicate he was camping?
Back then when a killer camped, survivors would flail their arms up and down (in the first stage of being hooked of course) to let their team know that they're being camped. Now people do it cause they're bored on hook but back then we used it as a strategy to warn your team. Sometimes people know what it means, sometimes they don't. I figure it's worth a shot to at least try and prevent my team getting screwed by a camper.
