  • Pretty much the same reason you ship him and Meg but the stereotype fits better with David.

Cute nerd, hunky jock. Plus they definitely look the cutest together. I think even one of the devs ships them. I forget her name but she commented on it during the 4th anniversary.

  • No no no no no no no.

Dwight x David tho. Yes. Take it from a Dweet main.

  • Nancy needs more of her outfits from the show but also a legendary that turns her into Scoops Ahoy™ Robin!

Same thing with Steve, he needs more of his outfits but also needs 2 legendaries, one of Johnathan Byers and one of Billy. BRING THE SEXY MULLET INTO DBD!

good news, it's being fixed tomorrow at 11am est, as confirmed by the developers themselves.

Thank God. Tomorrow we'll get a new killer, survivor, updated maps, updated gens, and bug fixes. Awesome.

  • Yes, September 8th we get the hunchback of notre dame and german pewdiepie.

  • I'm not going to be replying to anyone anymore since clearly you all are extremely tunnel vision. If you can't see the entitlement of wanting to make someone play a match that they're not having any fun in just so the killer can farm more bloodpoints out of them then idk what to tell you.

No where did I support dc'ing and if you got that out of my posts then learn to read. I clearly stated it's in their right to dc if they aren't having fun. And guess what's, there's a thing called a dc penalty so they'll be punished for doing so. Stop crying and move on.

At what point in his post did he say they should be forced to play?

Go back to remedial English, because reading comprehension clearly isn't in your wheelhouse.

His whole post is bitching about people not staying in the game to give him his bloodpoints. That sounds entitled to me and wanting to force people to stay for the sake of him earning bloodpoints.

Maybe you need to learn english.

Lol, this isn’t a debate and you definitely did imply you’re ok with players disconnecting. But hey, if you’re ok with the DC penalty being reimplemented as well then I totally agree.

No where did I say I was okay with people dc'ing. Please do learn to read. All I'm actually saying, pay attention now, is that it's their right to dc if they aren't having fun.

Oh it must have slipped my mind, I forgot to mention how reasonable it is to sully the game for your opponent! (They deserve it for challenging someone so clearly reasonable after all)

We all know that if you’re losing a game the only mature option is to throw the board in the air and declare that you aren’t having as much fun as you’d like, at which point your opponent is to graciously accept that you, a very reasonable and mature individual, have just wasted a great deal of their time and move on silently.

If they were to do anything else, or god forbid complain that you shouldn’t have started a match you were just going to quit in the first place then they are entitled fools. How dare anyone question your divine right to start games and then ditch them.

I know plenty of my opponents in sports ball just love it when I invite them to a game and the second they start winning I take a big steaming crap in the middle of the field before triumphantly marching off having declared that they were not enough fun for my tastes. (as is the only mature way to act in this situation)

You are reading way too deep into it and making up crazy analogies. I'm not going to entertain you anymore.

The fact you are calling being against people ragequitting a “narrative” after implying that player’s shouldn’t be punished for disconnecting pretty much sums it up.

I'm not implying that. You just keep making ######### up and assuming incorrectly to push your point. Learn to debate dude.

  • @NivlacACE said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1602271#Comment_1602271

Ah yes, quitting a game that doesn’t go your way is a perfectly reasonable way to act! How dare anyone question someone who quits a game they are losing to the detriment of their team?

if a chess player flips the board and leaves when it doesn’t go their way then they are the pinnacle of reasonability! Anyone who dares calling that behavior unsportsmanlike is entitled.

We can all recall the great athletes who throw down their implement in defeat and bravely sulk off the field! For this is how reasonable people act, reasonable people throw up their hands in frustration and graciously vacate the area leaving both their opponents and teammates to suffer (as they should for making the game less fun for such a shining beacon of reasonable and mature behavior).

only entitled fools would dare say such things as “leaving a match early ruins it for your team” or “why start a match you intend to quit to the detriment of your fellow man?”. Anyone who would say such things is clearly an entitled blathering dolt!

The purpose of the post wasn't a pity party for the other 3 survivors, the OP was crying about how he wasn't getting all his potential bloodpoints. Good job twisting it though to make him sound like a caring individual.

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1602271#Comment_1602271

Right, the killer is the entitled one, not the survivor who ragequit at the start of the match and ruined the game for the other four players. 🙄

P.S. Nobody is forcing people who throw temper tantrums and quit to play the game. They can all go play other games for all I care, there's not a soul who likes playing with people who disconnect.

Where did I say I didn't think the quitter wasn't entitled too? Gg on putting words in my mouth to push your narrative.

  • @herrik666 said:

The game can be as killer sided or as survivor sided as you want it to be. With all of these nucearly strong offerings, items, perk combinations and overpowered strategies on both sides you can easily tilt matches in whatever side.

I don't think there's any solo queue team that can win against a half decent killer with a mori and strong add-ons hard tunneling off hook, as I don't think there's any killer that can win against an omega sweat squat with map offerings, keys, toolboxes and whatever.

You are the only sane one here.

No, the demanding people play the match that they aren't having fun in just so you can get your bloodpoints.

  • You can't force someone to play a match they don't enjoy. This post kinda screams crybaby entitlement.

You already know i read your post otherwise I wouldn't of been able to talk about your control. Its funny you say it hinders your skill though. I can play on PS4 and on PC and it doesn't hinder my skill. Seems like your just spouting nonsense honestly. Wasn't being a dick was just straight up pointing out your control had nothing to do wkth my comment. All you did was add your opinion which did not relate to anything i said. Then proceed to get mad i called you out on it.

I'd never get mad over someone who doesn't matter to me.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1600580#Comment_1600580

Nah man I disagree you must be bad at surv if you think old Billy was fun except insta saw.

Nothing of what you said related to anything I just said.

  • If you're only going for saws, that's your fault. If you only use his saw for a clear insta down or to gain distance then the overhear mechanic shouldn't bother you at all. Old billy took no skill and was no fun to play against. Insta down power, no cooldown, covers distance incredibly fast, he was just too much reward for no skill, especially those fiveheads who just rev until they're on you. That's just annoying. I'd accept a out of place chainsaw I didn't see coming over a douche getting up on me to get a quick insta down.

I went against a billy today who played like that. Tried to keep holding rev so he could insta down me. I ran him around 1 small loop and a T wall next to it. I had 2 pallets. I stayed there with him long enough for my team to do 3 gens till he decided to peal off from me. I kept punishing him for trying to only chainsaw me and made him run into the wall like 5 times, hugging that loop CLOSE. He was also rank 1. You guys need to learn to adapt and only use your chainsaw for skillfully calculated hits or distance coverage. Stop whining cause you want your easy no skill killer back. Appreciate that they're making the game more interesting.

  • I think the only license that needs to be expanded is Ghostface's. We need Sydney Prescott as a survivor. She is the best final girl other than Laurie Strode in the horror movie genre.

Also I'd make a replacement to your Stranger Things idea. Keep Johnathan Byers as an legendary skin for Steve, but put Robbin in her Scoops Ahoy™ outfit as a legendary skin for Nancy.

Oh we also need Quentin's face reworked to resemble the actor (who agreed to the idea). Hopefully the NOES licensing fued gets settled and DBD can act on the long awaited face rework.

No you were stating the difference between Controller and Mouse/Keyboard. Which did not even relate to anything i said. Skill and the devices to play are different.

I stated that I personally tested both on PS4 and PC crossplay off and on. The quality of survivors goes down no matter which platform I am on with crossplay enabled this includes your pointless "control difference" and the PC players your protecting, but if i turn it off the quality of survivors rises.

FYI just because you have a PC does not mean your better than a console player. Superior specs on your gaming platform still does not measure your skill as a player just your wallet size.

So since with PC and PS4 having the same issue with and without crossplay. My only conclusion to the results state that the average skill level of survivors is actually pretty low in general. Since the abundance of new survivors from multiple new sources make the results more obvious.

I'm not saying you are or your gaming buddies either. I'm just pointing out obvious results. That quite literally have nothing to do with "control".

I play on console so you just showed that you didn't even read my posts. Don't try to be an ass to someone if you can't comprehend a simple post.

Controls can hinder ones skill, so it does have to do with your topic. Don't be a dick.

  • If it's funny then why you complaining?

  • That would actually be terrifying. Especially if you can see yourself in the mirror and then all of a sudden the killer is behind you in the mirror.

  • @Liruliniel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1595617#Comment_1595617

No your talking about the difference between Mouse and Keyboard in comparison to Controller which does not relate to anything I said. What your doing is asking people to look left while the actual thing is right.

Reread my post and try again later says the magic eight ball.

I was explaining why the quality of survivors skill went down during cross play. Don't understand why it's so hard for you to understand.

  • I always imagined the entity as a spider like god if they were to take an actual form. Half human, half spider. That would be an epic killer.

  • Literally had a game with 2 blendettes and a nea. All three had urban evasion. No one did gens. It was an Oni too. I stopped healing them after they refused to do gens. I tbagged them on hook because all they did was crouch around the map and hide all game.

  • I'd love a fluffy boi, he'd replace pig with the boops to the snoot.

  • ...when I read the title of this post, I expected to see pyramidhead in a school girl outfit...I'm disappointed.

  • If I ever see a "afk" killer, I know to stop doing gens and make sure all totems are broken. Gens can wait.

  • I also would love a backpack on Dwight. He's my main and I'm usually the pack friend. I love backpacks and Dwight would look so cute with one.

  • @Liruliniel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594296#Comment_1594296

Not quite sure what your saying as it does not even relate one bit to what I said.

You were talking about the quality of survivors skills decreasing when in regards to cross play. I explained why. Not sure how you missed that.

  • @Liruliniel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1590585#Comment_1590585

Actually they are not wrong. The quality survivor's actually massively decreased with the introduction of cross play while the quality of killers increased.

It just means that the average skill level of survivors is actually pretty low in comparison to the average skill level of killers. With the abundance of survivors nowadays it has become more obvious as well.

Yet if you turn off crossplay the average skill rate of both increases. What does this mean? I've personally tested this both on PS4 and on PC.

    Its not skill, it's control.

I used to play on pc and I was a slippery little dweet. Controls on pc are a ton more accurate and do what you want them to do. Switching to console, it's not easier. People think it is but it's not. Overtime I've come to realize I had much more control of my survivor on pc than console. But that's any game. Look at overwatch. People can aim a ton better with a mouse than a controller.

Now take a bunch of console survivors with a pc killer. One has better control, four do not. Doesn't mean they're bad. Hell I've even seen quite a bit of console players be able to juke red rank pc killers. But it's not as easy with controller because the controls are more potato than pc. This is coming from someone who has played both.

Yes, with doctor this situation should not arise, or if you equipped whispers. But thats not the point. You cannot know if the survivor team will abandon gens when down to two people so you JUST IN CASE take whispers with you. Killers cannot be changed in lobby anymore, so I also cannot switch to doc if I see 4 blendettes. I do not want to play doc all the time, neither do i want to take whispers with me every game. Luckily I don't have to, bc this situation is rare. Still, from time to time survivors do that, and it's just a giant waste of time and totally unsportsmanlike. And saying that the killer just needs to try harder in this situation is extremely cynical, when the survivors LITERALLY do not have to do anything fancy to avoid being found (crouching through the map and hiding in a locker is far from rocket science).

For good sake, don't try to frame such a mechanic as a convential nerf, it wouldn't be! It would only affect you if all remaining survivors fail to proceed with your objective for a considerable amount of time, say 10 minutes. Only if all of the remaining survivors do not touch a gen this whole time, do not have any interaction with the killer or another survivor (meaning something like healing / mending), only then you would get revealed to the killer so he can find and chase you. You do not get exposed, you do not get down or injured or sacrificed on the spot. The entity gets mad at you that you do not play its game properly, so it helps the killer to find you. The reveal could be something like aura, killer instinct, or my favorite, crows that do not disperse until you do a gen for like half a minute or you get into a chase. Do you really want to tell me that such a thing would be a nerf for conventional stealth play? It totally wouldn't. We already have the afk crows, and no one complains about that. This mechanic would just add another layer to this afk punishment, adding another punishment for survivors idling around not doing anything productive.

Your comparison with undetectable is flawed, btw. Yes it's a passive effect, but it won't help the killer at all if he does not move (apart from camping, which is equally cheap). On the contrary, the survivor gets their "stealth" from moving as little as possible and not doing anythign else. Not very skillful play, don't you think? Imagine Splinter cell with this approach, would he get any mission done? Of course not, but he will never be found!

Auras being shown is excessive. Crows should still appear if you chose to do nothing. But then there's easy ways around this. Tap a gen then urban evasion to the other end of the map. There'll be no good way to bring these changes without it being a nerf and / or killers finding a way to take a unfair advantage of it.

Also I think they should remove the killer lock. I get why it's a thing but at the same time different situations require different killers and you don't know what situation that is until you're in a lobby.

"Its called getting even", "I can bully him and get my deserved bloodpoints". This is what I'm talking about. Your inability to see that is what I mean by lack of insight. Your post here isn't an argument against my point, its an argument for it, hence poor debate.

You need to chill out, there is no need to 'get even' or 'get what your deserved' just play the game.

I am just playing the game? You're the one telling me to calm down when I am calm. Again with pushing a false narrative. Stop telling people how to play.

All I said was your overreaction to being mori'd was silly, and maybe a childish response to a computer game mechanic. I still stand by that assessment given your behaviour since.

None of this offends me, this is a you problem that I pointed out, not very delicately, its not me that needs a thicker skin mate. I'm not phased by what happens in a game or on a forum I just commented on something I thought was a bit childish of a response. If you can't handle a comment like that about it, it then why post it?

I really should have left it, dead horse and all, but your lack of insight baffles me. But this is becoming tit for tat and there are no winners there so nuff' said.

There was no overreaction. There you go, blowing it out if proportion and being dramatic. Again.

Bullying a killer cause he brings a Mori isn't childish. Its called getting even. If a killer has the intent of taking me out of the game early then fine, that's toxic but he can do that. Just like how I can bully him and get my deserved bloodpoints. You clearly have an issue with that cause you think it's childish when it literally isn't. I'm using what's provided to me in this game. You think I'm aggressive so you clearly get tilted at things easily if you think I'm aggressive. I'm just laying down the facts about it and you can't handle that. You did it on my post and you do it here.

I play majority killer and a lot of the killer complaints here are extremely embaressing. You can tell its newer players the majority of the time, or just unskilled players but that goes both ways.

The game does have its imbalances (SWF mainly I mean lets face it) but a lot of the killer complaints blow it out of proportion or whine about the possiblity of the 1% sweat squad destroying them every match.

    Agreed completely.

  • @CaulDrohn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1591430#Comment_1591430

STEALTH? ARE YOU ######### KIDDING ME? It has absolutely NOTHING to do with stealth if you totally abandon your objective to hide from the killer and hope someone else dies or the killer disconnects. You take no risks whatsoever, you do not even try, that's just super lame and time wasting. A real STEALTH player is like a shadow or ghost, touching gens here and there but really hard to find. He will take some risks, even if it's only to taunt the killer a bit. He will certainly not sit in a corner.

The proclaimed mechanic would have absolutely no impact on your stealth if you still try to do your objective. Only when not touching a gen for like 10 minutes it would reveal you or something like that, nothing that would hit you in normal survivor play.

So what if the OP stopped searching? You would do the same eventually when you just can't find them and they do NOTHING but hiding. The survivors were STILL NOT DOING GENS, even when the killer just idled on the spot. Do I really have to spoon-feed you why this problematic and rightfully bannable behaviour?

I play doctor so stealth players are no issue to me. Killers need to stop asking for easier than kills or buffs to help them do their job. There are killers who's powers eliminate stealth almost completely. Hell, there's even perks that do the same. Stealth doesn't need to be nerfed, and what you're asking is technically asking for it to be nerfed. Like it or not, that's still stealth. You don't have to be doing anything. Being undetectable to the killer is stealth.

But because it's the truth, against a team like that we don't stand a chance ! 4 survivors with the same perks, all Claudettes, same clothes, with flashlight.. No ! I'm not a Clown, i don't want be mad, i want enjoy ! 😀

I don't mind losing the game. On the other hand, the killers depend on the addons, so I'm forced to win...

Example addons dependent, the Nurse !

No killers are reliant on their powers. There's a killer to counter every play style as survivor. A good example is doctor. He counters a lot. Survivors are using what they have to to survive. Killers have the same set of tools to use.

Yeah and you failed to come up with any coherent counter point in that thread too. The 'false narrative', as you put it, was you were unnecessarily abusive and aggressive and you responded by being unnecessarily abusive and aggressive, very similar to a lot of your posts here.

If you are incapable of responding with a coherent point without resorting to insults and straw man arguments then you aren't very good at debate. I doesn't surprise me that I have to point this out a second time though. Don't worry I won't do it again no point flogging a dead horse as it were.

But this is not the point of the thread and I have no intention of hijacking it. Enough said.

Except I did give you a coherent argument but you refused to listen. I was "aggressive" cause you immediately started calling me immature when you don't even know me. Name-calling isn't an argument. You lost your debate and then started saying the same thing over and over again. The debate was also faulty cause you made no points and assumed everything, pulling random ######### from your ass.

But as you said, that's not the reason of this post so don't reply to me anymore if you're gonna act immature like how you love to say about me. Don't attack people or assume things about people and not expect them to fire back. That's childish. Grow thicker skin and stop being so offended by everything. Bye.

No. Like I said that's just not true. That's a salt fueled bias. If anything, I can say the same for killers. Only 5% of killers who play are actually good, the other 95% sucks. To the OP a post complaining about killers generalizing all survivors is just a post doing the same to killers. We all need to stop with the constant them and us rhetoric it serves no purpose other than to divide the community and add to forum salt and toxicity.

Aren't you the one who was pushing a false made-up narrative and pulling things out of your ass to try and prove a point on my post? Yeah your opinion doesn't matter to me and you're the last person who should be talking about being bad at debates.

They absolutely can take the game hostage, why are you denying it? The introduction of EGC only solved the issue with one survivor hiding and doing nothing. If two survivors decide to hide and chill their n*ts, there's nothing the killer can do to force them out of their rabbit hole. This has nothing to do with being a cry baby. The other way around, survivors doing that are severely lacking any sportmanship.

So "what else do [we] want"? Easy, a mechanic that forces the survivors to do something after a certain amount of time. Is that so unreasonable? No one asked for such a stupid thing like you proclaimed, so instead of hyperboling, you could proof yourself useful for the course of the discussion. Otherwise, just shut your trap, please.

No, survivors don't need another mechanic to completely ruin stealth builds. If the game is lasting 2 HOURS then that's 100% on the killer. Check lockers, check the corners, etc. The op even said he was just waiting to see how long they'd wait. He probably wasn't even looking. Stealth isn't 100% uncountable. Giving killers an already more easier time finding people will just ruin the game more.

I don't think that is entirely false.

Most, not all, but most Survivors in Red Ranks are boosted. It is very easy to rank up as Survivor, especially in SWF. I myself, was not a good Survivor for a looooong time, but I managed to play Solo and get to Red Ranks fairly easily.

For Killer, it is a lot harder to rank up at Red Ranks, you really do have to play almost perfectly (according to the game) in order to pip. This results in a huge disparity in actual skill. Some Survivors will absolutely destroy Killers since they know how to play and if both Survivors and Killers play perfectly (against most Killers on most maps) the Survivors will win simply because the Killer will run out of time.

On the other hand though, a majority of Red Rank Survivors will get dominated by Red Rank Killers and then, falsely believing that they have reached the highest rank, will complain that Killers are OP and need nerfs, when they should be in Purple or Green Ranks.

I can agree to that. Honestly it's not too hard for me to rank up for killer or survivor. I've been playing for years though. I think pipping should be harder but the amount of bloodpoints you earn should be boosted for both sides.
