Were you further than 48 meters from the window when this happened?
Window vault notifications have a range limit.
This might actually be possible, but I dont think I spawned 48 meters away. I will test it in KYF today.

so is every m1 killer would be considered braindead easy to play with that logic. I guess that means the killer should be weak because of how easy they are to play. let us ignore entire survivor gameplay of m1 generator's and escaping.
Yes, we ignore the Survivor-Gameplay for this thread because this would be whataboutism.
Every M1-Killer has more depth than Freddy. Even the more simple ones.

Don't you mean can beat him....I only got beat once by Freddy and it's because he hid the fact he had devoured hope and no one took him seriously.
No, Freddy is basically Skill Floor = Skill Ceiling. There is no depth in his gameplay at all. SInce the rework he is the most dull and most boring Killer in the game.
The only reason he was popular after the Rework was because he is so easy to play and his Slowdown was really strong + he ignored BT.

I doubt it's intended, but I also see no reason to change it. Freddy is already in a bad spot and this ability makes him slightly better at tiles. It's also a small thing that raises his skill cap abit, because let's be honest freddy doesn't really require much skill to use effectively.
This does not raise his skill cap at all. The dirt in my belly button can play Freddy without problem and a Bug does not change this.

Completely fine that Killers change their Loadout depending on the Items the Survivors bring. This is the point of the Lobby. And personally, I prefer Killers who alter their Loadout over thsoe who just dodge.

The chat filter is totally random.
It totally is.
Sometimes "gg" gets censored as well. At some point I thought that the Chatfilter just tries to avoid things were people want to write the N- or F-Word in multiple messages, so that it checks for other letters in previous messages.
But even if the only message in Postgame Chat is "gg" it might end up getting censored.

Halloween is at the 31st of October. Regarding a potential Halloween Event, no official information yet.
-
This is just Survivors being overdramatic.
-
Yes, IMO the one Killer Perk which currently needs changing. 10% of Progress gone and 25 seconds of doing nothing at all is too much IMO. I thought that maybe it should just make the one Generator which got hit by Eruption be unable to be repaired for 25 seconds so that Survivors can at least search another Gen, heal, open Chests or cleanse Totems while not being able to repair that Gen. But this would just be Pain Resonance + DMS in one Perk.
-
You just lost a game. Nothing overdramatic. You getting 28k BPs also means that you did not get destroyed, the game did not finish fast.
But better to complain in EGC and the Forums, eh?
-
Chatfilter is wild. I once asked a Killer "Where are you from?" because they had a really high ping. Everything got censored...

I agree that it's overhyped. In a lab setting, yes, it can be used to slam out gens. But DbD isn't played in a lab setting.
Having used it in practice a bunch, you get a lot of variance. You probably don't have 4 Stake Out tokens, or even 2 tokens. And then it takes quite a bit of time to even get a decent amount of skill checks that also need to be uninterrupted Greats. There's a very good chance that you aren't sitting on a gen for its entirety in a real game of DbD. So you're devoting 2 perk slots to shave maybe 10 seconds off of a gen in an ideal scenario. Or you can just run Overzealous/Inner Healing or Prove. Heck, Fast Track does more on 1 perk slot than Hyperfocus/Stake Out typically does in 2 slots.
My experience as well.
I was even running a full build for it - Commodious Toolbox with double extra Charges, Streetwise, Built to last and Hyperfocus/Stake Out. It was decent on RPD-Maps against Wesker (I was testing the build shortly after Project W hit live).
But when I went against an Artist on Haddonfield (as example), I did not get many Stake Out-Stacks and so I did hit a lot less Great Skill Checks. And I am playing the game for a very long time, so I am not really bad at hitting Greats.

And that's exactly the problem. It was an event about DBD that DBD players got pretty much nothing out of unless they owned a completely separate game.
And if there would be no collab with For Honor (or PUBG), DBD-players would also not get anything out of it.
It was once again embarrassing to see how the DBD-Community reacted.
-
And once again someone thinks that Communication is the strength of SWF.
Discord will always be a part of DBD-Survivor gameplay. Just try to actually get better at the game instead of blaming your losses on SWFs or Communication.
-
What a surprise, Hyperfocus is used less now that Wesker (aka 40m-Terror Radius) and RPD-Maps (aka super-small) are not as popular anymore and you dont gain that many Stake Out-Stacks to keep your Hyperfocus-Stacks anymore.
Hyperfocus is really not a big deal and Killer Mains, once again, overreacted. As usual.
-
Both are strong, Spirit is a bit stronger, Plague has the better Perks. Personally I would prefer Plague.

Pig is, with the last buff for the RNG, at least C-Tier now.
But: her traps are easily countered. Just seach 1-2 boxes before the trap is active (SWF). Most of the time however the time is enough to get rid of it, even with Tampered. If not, the killer did good job in interrupting tbh.
If u play solo, it can become a bit annoying tbh.
So the counter is just to play SWF. Yeah, makes sense...
Did you even read your post once you published it? Unless you are in a 4 man SWF, you will not have full control over a Gen being done while you have a trap on your head (or even worse - are on the Hook after getting it). And the smaller the party, the less control you will have.
Tampered Timer should not be a thing. It was nerfed, but it should have been reworked completely. (In general, I dislike that there is so much focus on the RBTs, there should be more focus on her Stealth and Dash instead, because those are the actual fun parts of her).
-
Bamboozle is already a Perk which screams "I cannot run tiles". The main purpose of Bamboozle was to be a bandaid for really strong Windows. The problem is that Bamboozle can be used on fair Loops as well.
Making it basekit would make many tiles very easy to play for Killers and some borderline useless. (Like, a T/L-Wall would be not much stronger than a Z-Wall, and T/L-Walls are very fair Tiles... But you need to use some braincells to mindgame them, with Bamboozle, you just vault the Window and thats it).

I see a lot of people in my game bringing Flan and other anniversary offerings.
The Project W-Characters were not released when Flans were a thing. I have also seen a Zarina who had an Offering which she should not be able to have.
-
If you dont have fun, you should not be playing this game or at least take a break. There is a difference between wanting to play a game and complaining about it or straight not having fun at all.
-
I mean, you can win with every Killer against the majority of Survivors.

How is that your conclusion from this? It’s called wanting a normal game regardless of side.
Not really. If someone does not want to play, they just wont play. For the other Survivors it does not matter if that one guy DCs, Suicides on first Hook or goes afk into a Locker.
For the Killer on the other hand, they just benefit from it.
The only thing what should be done against Hook Suicides is to try to remove the unfun aspects which lead to players suiciding on Hooks. You will always have people who dont want to play, sometimes more justified (Nurse, game is already lost early), sometimes not justified (going down first against an addonless Trapper).
-
Someone is desperate for some points as KIller.
-
Emblem-Matchmaking and bigger Rank Reset (from 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 5) and you got decent teammates for around 3 weeks. Week 4 was rough, but after Rank Reset games were alright again.
Once they changed it that you only go back to the next Color, the quality of games went downhill pretty fast IMO.
-
I would agree to the point that playing against Clown is pretty boring. I dont really like to play against Clown, even if he is one of the weaker Killers.
However, I think Clown is quite fun to play, especially with a Chase-orientated build, min-maxing his Chase Potential can make him really fun.
-
Yes. I would be happy if a lot of Add Ons and Items get changed, combined, deleted.
E.g. you dont need 3 Flashlights, 2 are enough. Most Flashlight Add Ons (everything aside from Batteries and the Filament) are useless.
You dont need two Maps, one Map would be ok (The Rainbow-Map) and all Add Ons which give the ability to track something can just be removed.
You dont need 3 Keys at this point, one would be enough. Same with Toolboxes, no need to have a Gajillion of them.
This would greatly reduce the amount of Bloodweb-Items in the Survivor Bloodweb. Currently they have 3 times as many Items compared to Killers, so reducing that number a bit would be great to have a higher chance to get what you actually want.
At some point I made a proposal that Items should be removed and just be replaced with a Power which can be equipped to the Survivor. And this can be further upgraded with Add Ons. This would remove all the Items from the Bloodweb and replace them with a Dropdown-Menu where you can choose if you want to have a Toolbox, Medkit, Flashlight, Map or Key. And then the Add Ons should be combined, deleted and changed to reflect this.
But this is a big rework, so I would be totally fine with revisiting the Add Ons and Items and remove some of them which are not needed anymore or dont do anything.
-
It is fine that Killers see Items and which Survivor is picked. Profiles, Names and Prestige should be removed tho.

Most Killers are beatable. But it is just super-easy to blame a loss on Solo Q, because sadly players in DBD are unable to accept that they might not played that good.
Survivors probably never had the thought "Hm, maybe I did not play as well as I thought".
Second time you try this?

So if killers don’t beat a SWF it’s a skill issue, but if solo q doesn’t beat a killer it’s a balance issue?

Right it's not the SWF that's the exploit, it's the third party communication you are using to bypass the games systems that are the exploit.
As I said, communication is not the main strength of SWF. The main strength is to avoid Potatoes. If you have 4 good Survivors, they will be around the same level when playing without comms compared to with comms.

Can you tell survivors to stop blaming their losses on solo q? I know that some popular Streamers are good rolemodels for that, but this does not mean that every mediocre Survivor player has to do it as well.
It is widely known that Solo Survivor is the weakest role. And no, I almost never complain about Solo-Survivor, because I never play SoloQ. As I said, I play with a friend (and obviously I do this to exploit, not because I know him for so long and just enjoy playing a game with a friend). Because this way, I only have to care for two randoms and not 3.
When I play Solo, I play Killer, if I have the time to endure the long queues.

so for a random group facing ghost face, ghost faces main power is to go undetectable, he hooks a survivor and is stalking around a wall or something, then if they are in voice they just tell each other exactly where he is, totally negating his power, the game gives you the tool to expose ghost face by looking at him, the game doesnt have voice built it not text chat, so you are not meant to know ghostfaces location, a clear and obvious huge advantage for SWFs, and this goes even further, they can wait until last moment doing gens because they know exactly wher he is, and then just trade hooks.. obviously a game exploit, but im sure you are one of those SWF players enjoying it right
"obviously a game exploit, but im sure you are one of those SWF players enjoying it right"
Yes, I play SWF with a friend of mine who I know for over 20 years. Am I allowed to do so?
And no, SWF is no exploit.
As I said, stop blaming your losses on SWFs. I know that some popular Streamers are good rolemodels for that, but this does not mean that every mediocre Killer player has to do it as well.

What annoys me more is that they did not consider the BPs spent at all. Like, my Nea probably did thousands of P3-50 Bloodwebs, I have hundreds of each Item, Add On and Offering on her. She was P9 when the Prestige-Changes dropped.
My Jonah went from P0 to P3-50 with all Perks and then I never touched him again. He is P9. Same as Nea.
Some of my Killers as well, e.g. I never touched Hag after I P3-50ed her with all Perks, but she is the same like Killers I played very frequently like Billy or Demo.
-
I think that people who really think that the strength of SWF is communication dont understand the game at all, but are asking for Nerfs...
SWF will never be nerfed. There will never be an option to opt out of SWF-Games. Stop blaming your losses on SWFs.
-
So more teabagging it is.

Now you will basically only see a Mori when the killer gets a 4K, as any other scenario will likely result in survivors waiting at exit gates until they're either all out or the remaining survivor is hooked. On top of that, you won't see Mori's from Devour Hope, Rancor, or mid-game via an Ebony Mori offering.
And in order to secure that Mori, the killer will still need to slug for the 4K to prevent the final survivor getting the hatch.
Would be more often than now. As I said, I dont care about the animations, from my side, they can remove them entirely. I look at them one time when a new Killer comes out, think "Yeah, looks nice" and thats it.
And that the Killer "needs" to slug for the 4K is the same as now. not really a point.
-
I guess they are reworking the Moris to make it able to actually see the animations. Because currently, you almost never see a Mori-Animation, because current Moris are not that strong (which is completely justified, before they were just way too strong). I mean, personally, I dont care about the animation, but BHVR seems to be quite fond of them, so they wanted to implement a system to see the animations more frequently.
Before you saw them very frequently, but Moris were busted, so it is not like they were really enjoyable to see on the Survivor Side when you are dead after your first hook. And after they required two Hooks, they were used far less.
-
Yes, 0 idea why this was actually removed.
I mean, you can see the Killers Connection ingame now - and at this point it is too late. It should be shown in the Pregame Lobby.
And when it comes to the own connection, this should be shown as well. Yesterday I ended up in a Lobby where everyone (probably the Killer as well), had quite a high Ping. All Players from Germany (according to their profile), and probably on some american Server. No chance to see this beforehand.
-
You are most likely not high MMR. The amount of Threads indicate that you struggle a lot with the game, which is probably a you-problem. But yeah, not high MMR, 100% sure of that.
People camp and tunnel because it is the most effective playstyle. And it is very easy to do currently.

Jumping in a locker was a common way to force a ds.
I mean, you still cannot force the Killer to actually open the Locker.
And the Killer could have avoided it entirely if they would have just went for someone else...
-
Not really.
If you want to use Unbreakable and Flip-Flop, you can do it now already. Nearly nobody does this, because it is a waste of 2 Perk Slots.
There will not be much change if Survivors can pick themselves up without a Perk. I expect more Unbreakables when it goes live, but since Killers will just not slug, it will not do anything.

You're not really gonna be able to see them pick themselves up to learn that info every time though.
Yeah, you need to pay attention. Hard.
-
No need to change this tbh.
Unbreakable is strong when it comes unexpected. If the Survivor picks themselves up after 22,5 seconds, you know they have Unbreakable, so you will not slug them anymore.
For the rest, 45 seconds take ages.

The worst and most unfun experience this game has? Have you even played solo survivor?
Yeah, orange glyph is a bit annoying, but it's only as detrimental to your gameplay as... any number of survivor challenges. People only notice orange glyphs because most killer challenges just tell them to play the game normally.
Meanwhile, I'd hardly call a 30% increased stun as unfun as dealing with a double locker squad, or getting facecamped by Bubba, or bled out for no especial reason, or getting trapped in the game by a cheater. The game has much, much worse to offer. I'd suggest bringing Enduring or a killer that generally ignores pallets, like Huntress or Nurse.
Exactly this. Most Killer Challenges are just "play the game". And the one time a Killer Challenge actually affects the Killer gameplay, the complaints start.

The White Glyph-Challenge gives lots of BPs if you manage to escape with the Glyph. Most likely this happened.
