They're done with you because you speak facts @AsherFrost.😂
It's weird having someone say they aren't wasting any more time with you, after you've said you're done with them. It's like someone calling you after you hung up, just to hang up on you. I suppose it's an easy way for the op to feel superior without having to do any self reflection.

I did make a thread with tongue firmly in cheeck advocating for noed to just kill a random number of survivors as a test. Didn't get a single person agreeing with me. Shows just how "killer sided" this forum really is.

That’s fine, you think I’m offended? Call me names, compare me to other people, it’s fine. At the end of the day, I’m not losing sleep over people like you so, take care have a nice night.
No. To be offended you would actually have to have the ability to reflect on your own words and deeds. I expect nothing of you, but for you to continue trying to paint all people who choose to play killer as somehow deficient to you, someone who never plays killer, which you seem to have no issue doing, as again, no self awareness seems to exist to stop you

you failed to show me what I asked for, which , I’ll repeat again… the part where I said “all killer players are immature people who cannot handle a loss”.
Ah, so if you didn't use those exact words, it doesn't count?
I'm done with your toxic troll ass. Seriously. I used to think you were someone that could be fun to talk to, given your obvious love for my favorite fighting game franchise, but the more of your threads I've read, the more I became convinced that you are basically only on these forums to further the us vs them nonsense that is, without question the worst part of this forum. Even Sluzzy and lord Tony act with more tact. . Funny part is, I actually play survivor far more than I do killer, I just hate bigotry and stereotyping in all forms. You have convinced me that anything you say I can easily ignore and in fact, by doing so my life will be slightly less annoying.
If you honestly can't see how trying to paint every survivor or killer player based on some isolated incidents with 2 people is ######### troll behavior, nothing I say will convince you.

Right there, in your very first post, literally started in the title of the thread where you decided to conflate the actions of 2 individuals with the entire community of people playing one side of a game. I also provided several quotes in an earlier reply you ignored. Facts are facts. Trying to claim every killer is unable to handle a loss (as you clearly did) is toxic troll behavior, and it's not even out of character for you.

This reminds me of back when WoW was at its peak. Every day I would see multiple threads about how this or that mmo was totally going to take the players and kill wow.
It's still going.
Same for dbd. Every time a new horror game or asymmetric pvp game comes out we are assured it's the end for dbd. I can't even remember the names of those games, as they didn't stick around.

Yes, it's all the forums. It's not in any way tied to you trying to paint literally all killers with the same brush. Just that mean forum full of people that just hate survivors, sure. Nothing at all to do with how you consistently hop on here to claim all killers are toxic, or unable to handle a loss, etc.

People don’t get camped and tunneled every game but the forums still get flooded with complaints.
Camping and tunneling is however, extremely prevalent. It may not be every game, but it's definitely not a minority of players using those strategies.

They’re the minority. Killers & solo Que players would be very happy. The game would be better balanced. Personally I don’t think anyone would miss those entitled brats. This forum was constantly flooded with complaint threads about them for years. They can kick rocks in custom matches. 😹
If they were the minority, then surely there wouldn't be so many complaints about them... Unless of course people just lied about how often they face swf teams.

This game needs to get new players to survive. At the lowest rank of dbd the game is considered killer sided, so they should stay.
At low ranks camping will probably stop people playing this game. They are already bad at looping and don't understand why camping is still in the game. If you get your mates to play this game, it's incredibly challenging to explain why I can't save them vs a camping Bubba, Trickster or Hag.
Well yeah, trickster and hag? Those are easy saves.
-
I don't know what glass bead does actually.
I don't bring maps, I personally feel they are worthless once you've learned the totem spawns. As such I don't even read map addons when I have to unlock them, I just mentally file them with the offerings for maps I dislike and other useless items.

Playing hide and seek as killer when there are 2 survivors left is just sleep inducing, I had games go for hours because immersive survivor usually hide in a dark corner trying to mentally exhaust the killer by not progressing the game like doing gens and avoiding afk crows, especially with spine chill and urban Evasion. Trust me you’ll hate hiders too when they leave dead on hook just to avoid me and now you just spectating a 2 hour match of your survivor mate hiding in a bush
I get that, but the OP was (according to his post) working on gens. He just hid when the killer came to check, which just seems like good game sense.
-
I disagree.
As killer, you can force them to use DS. If they have it at the end game, then either you failed to do so, or they just outplayed you, neither of which should result in the survivor losing a perk.
I would be all for a system where you can activate 5 sigils around the map to remove DS from everyone for the match, though, because at least then there would be effort to remove it.
-
I don't know that it was any one thing that has me dropping off on killer and focusing more on survivor.
I started playing survivor more with Mikaela's release, because my wife was getting interested in the game, and I wanted to learn the boon mechanics, and Frankly, my matches as survivor are just more fun, to where switching to killer for a daily challenge, is almost a chore.

his response was, "I didn't like your vibes, you were hiding every time I patrolled your generator, I don't like hiders"
#########?? So if I am doing a Generator, and I hear the killer coming, and I hide, and he struggles to find me during patrols..... I am doing something bad?
Lol what? Is this normal attitude among killers, or did I just meet a toxic loser?
Sounds like you met a loser who would be better off playing single player games.
Of course you hide when the killer comes by your gen, what did he expect you to do, jumping jacks?

I think the best part of the stranger things chapter was probably the perks, which while renamed, still exist and as far as I understand should still appear in the shrine.
That being said, I totally get people just love the franchise, love playing as demo (he's not for me, but that's why there are 20+ other options) and just love being Nancy or Steve.
I have to believe anyone, no matter which side they play more, who claims to miss Hawkins or like it, are suffering from a new form of Stockholm Syndrome.

You talk about gamesense, but you describe it as 'not a big deal' to have to stay off the killer's radar in the last segments of the game.
By the time NOED is about to pop, there's only three locations the survivors need to go, drastically increasing the likelihood he'll find a survivor. Then when NOED pops, it goes down to two locations. Add in the movespeed boost, and not getting caught during end-game is pretty damn unlikely. At least one sod is likely going to get into a chase at that point and will likely get smacked by the instadown.
At this point, the killer is also entirely within their right to facecamp whoever they get, so that one instadown is far more dangerous than it is at any earlier point.
'Just cleanse then!'
But that's RNG dependant due to the way it spawns, and RNG does not a fair perk make.
'Just cleanse 5 before repairing 5!'
That's a full extra gen of time spent working on countering a perk the killer might not even have. Which takes NOED from being an instadown in end-game to the best slowdown perk in the game, and an utterly broken one if the killer doesn't equip it.
NOED has by far the most involved counterplay of any perk in the entire game, but it doesn't pair this with a moderate effect. Its effect is the strongest in the game bar one, which is also the highest effort, highest risk perk in the game: Devour Hope. Comparatively, NOED has extremely low effort, extremely low risk, and really high reward.
Kind of like Dead Hard.
EDIT: And none of that is taking camping into consideration.
Noed has the exact same counter as every other hex perk. Boon/destroy the totem carrying the hex. All of them have the same RNG factor for where it spawns, with noed you have the advantage that you were all over the map beforehand and know which 5 of the 12 possible spawn points actually has a totem in it at all, not to mention there is time to boon and destroy them, which lowers the RNG.
What you are talking about is the separate tactic for stopping it from activating at all. And yes, that takes some doing and is unique. Because NOED Is the only perk that can be removed from the match before it has the chance to activate at all.
Trying, as you continually do, to pretend the entire and only counter to noed is cleansing 5 totems, especially in the boon meta where there aren't ever 5 dull totems when the last gen is powered, is absolutely disingenuous and intellectually dishonest. I'm not going around this bush with you again, I'm just disappointed to see you clinging to the exact same fallacies week after week.

Nowhere did I say it's impossible to stop noed against a good killer, I said "It is not reasonable to cleanse all 5 totems and make it out against a good killer".
As for the 2k/2e thing that's another point against NOED. It's super easy to just down 1 person early game, camp them to death, then squeeze out another kill with NOED in the endgame and boom, it's a free 2k for doing basically nothing, it's why basement bubba is extremely dumb.
Of course just finishing all 5 generators is not an immediate win for survivors but my point is that noed is unreasonable for the activation requirement which is that you played decent enough that the survivors didn't get enough time to cleanse all 5 dull totems whether they knew you had it or not. That is like every single game unless you for some reason are going against absolute babies who have so little map pressure that you can spend the time to find and cleanse all 5 dull totems for no reason at all. It makes no logical sense.
As much logical sense as a perk that requires you to lose a chase to use. Or one that only activates when you are put into the dying state.

You have to offer Netflix more money for the rights than they feel they could make on their own in the gaming industry.

@Saitamfed said:
I get it, NOED is pretty much an old perk that has a lot of hate but the way I see it, there are many times NOED can activate and doesn't mean that you're doing a bad job as a killer... i.e. slugging the third and fourth survivor, killing the fourth and closing the hatch, that makes NOED activates and you pretty much already won at that point. Question is. What's the big deal? The killer is playing with three perks for pretty much all the trial, except in late game and just if survivors decided not to do bones... So even if you reach late game, it doesn't mean it will activate. I can easily spot two or three bones in a single match, if I don't take them as a survivor it's my fault not the killers...
And the comments about rewarding bad killers... again, having NOED doesn't mean it will activate and if you're that bad of a killer, the most you can do is get 1K instead of 0K, now if you know the killer has NOED and is camping that surv, and you willingly decide to risk yourself even though you don't know where the hex is and by that, the killer downs and kills you... then I suppose you're getting salty because you didn't have your win. Basically, do it at your own risk... if you want to be altruistic then don't go crying because you didn't get the save. You knew the risks and you were willing to do it anyway.
There's 6-8 people on these forums who enjoy making the same thread, where they complain about the same perk, over and over again. If you check the post history of the people making these threads you'll very quickly see what I mean. I've gotten to literally just copying and pasting my posts from previous noed threads. So far I don't think anyone has noticed.
-
@gendoss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2823067#Comment_2823067
All of that is very misleading or a stretching of the truth. It is not reasonable to cleanse all 5 totems and still make it out against a good killer. It really isn't. NOED activates right when the last gen pops so you could be mid chase and just go down for free cuz the killer is faster and you're exposed. Super dumb. The problem is that it doesn't have reasonable counterplay and rewards the killer for losing all of the gens. There are other end game perks that I'm fine with like Remember Me, Blood Warden, and No Way Out. Those are balanced and have reasonable counter play. NOED is way too OP for the activation requirements which is basically just play the game whether you do good or bad.
Hold on. So we've gone from "Noed just rewards bad killers" to "it's impossible to stop noed against a good killer"
Well, which is it? Is it a perk for bad killers you would totally win against without it, or is it being used by killers so good that they keep pressure on you all game which is why you die to it?
Also regarding the "but the killer lost all 5 gens" nonsense you keep trying to use as an argument? The Game is balanced around 2k, you can't get 2k/2e without all gens being done.
Therefore the game is specifically balanced around the idea that all 5 gens will be completed in MOST matches. Trying to claim that something the devs literally balance the game around happening almost every match into a lose condition for the killer, or a win condition for yourself, shows you lack understanding of game balance and flow.

I hardly get any boon users in my games. At the very least I'll get one boon every few games. I think people have finally started to realize they just aren't that good.
I would love to see the recordings of that. I haven't had a match that didn't at least have 2 people booning totems since the witch came out.

I always found it weird that the boon based character has a perk that activates on breaking totems. Otherwise clairvoyance is cool but I prefer detective’s hunch
I think it's for 2 reasons.
1. It provides more choice for gameplay, rather than just boons.
2. Even with COH, you're only doing 1 totem. You'll still want to break a few to avoid noed, or just to get rid of a hex without moving your boon from a good spot.

I do. I've played at pretty much all times from 9am-3am CST. The worst queue times are in the 9-11am range for me, but even then I can't make it from my couch to the fridge and back before a game is found. Survivor side I only get queues that fast from 5-9pm

Why is my killer queue so long?
I don't think I've ever been in queue as killer for longer than it takes to take a few sips of my drink. I've had survivor queues that lasted longer than an episode of Reno911 however.
-
This pretty much shows it. I mean, sure you can keep arguing that there is no advantage, but just look at the images.
-
I had someone convinced I was cheating because I had Kate wearing her cowgirl getup, and apparently that's a cosmetic only cheaters use.
Moral of the story? Don't worry about it, if it's not your achievements, then it'll be something else that gives those poor unfortunate souls something to turn to and accuse the match of not being fair.
-
I got 3.
Ghostface
Myers
Pig.
The thing is, they're all also kind of my favorite to go against, because they are the only ones who provide any sort of "fear" emotion. However I am so massively ######### against stealth, that I end up caught early, and often, leading to situations where even if the team wins I feel it was in spite of, rather than thanks in part to my gameplay.
-
I'd agree that mechanically BHVR shouldn't try to stop tunneling or camping (aside possibly from facecamping, just because it's so, so dumb.) However making more anti-tunnel or anti-camp perks? They absolutely should. This game is best, imo, when there are a lot of options for each side to try to counter the other. As tunneling is a legit playstyle for killers, builds to prevent tunneling should be viable for survivors. The difficulty is balancing it so there is still agency and skill involved.

I know you were responding to him and not me but the problem with these forums is that it seems most of the time a survivor player posts something that they want buffed on their side, or something fixed on the killers side they’re IMMEDIATELY labeled a “troll” and their post is called bait. It’s really sad, I have yet to see a killer post that’s been called bait and have the poster be labeled a “troll”. I should know, I’ve been through that multiple times and have seen others go through that as well.
"the whole point of this post was to show killers can NEVER blame themselves for their losses, instead they blame it on everything else."
"It just goes to show killers will never blame their losses on themselves."
It seems there is some confusion, so let me just point out 2 examples of toxic "us vs them" nonsense. Mileena, if you want to be taken seriously and not be dismissed as a troll, it may help to take a good long look at how you word things. When it clearly shows you are trying to box everyone who plays killer up nice and neat into your stereotypes, that is straight up troll behavior, and likely to have your opinion Immediately seen as biased whining, rather than a legitimate discourse.
If you want to talk about a couple of bad experiences you had with ######### people playing killer, that's one thing. Trying to put that behavior on everyone who ever played killer? That's toxic.
-
I think if that happened, haunted grounds would have to be changed quite a bit.
Maybe have it so instead of being 1 specific totem it gives a 25% chance that the dull being cleansed will trigger. (One time only, obviously) that way it's still a trap that can't be easily identified and avoided.

After reading through all this, I think that NOED should be implemented into every of my build and that NOED actually should be baseline.
These days a lot of survivors get super cheeky once all gens are popped and you can do nearly nothing to prevent a well coordinated escape. And I know that most survivors ignore totems, so yeah, maybe I will give NOED another go.
It's weird. On paper the boon meta should make it so that noed is a non-issue entirely. I mean, it can't overwrite a booned totem, and survivors booning totems clearly know where they are, so it should be a simple matter to find the single lit one after the gens are done.
In practice it seems like boons have made a lot of people forget that dull totems have a purpose beyond anchoring survivor perks, to the point where they BM each other for the crime of actually doing bones.
-
I've seen noed on 5 of the last 30 or so killers I've faced. As far as how the perk affected the match? 3 times there wasn't a totem that was left up and dull, so it never activated. (Boon meta making it easier than ever to stop before it activates).
1 killer managed to go from a 0k with 6 hooks to a 2k, but that was primarily because the person trying to go for the save literally ran into a wall. It was after the totem had been found and dealt with as well, so I'm not sure how much credit the perk can get, since as far as I could tell, it resulted in 1 down total while it was active.
Last one was against bubba, he hooked and camped the last survivor near a gate, we saw him, saw he had noed, and went to the other gate, resulting in a 3E

Not immediately pre-drop every pallet just because the killer is 10 feet behind them would be a start. If they do pre-drop and waste them all, rather than wait to drop the pallet until it will actually save them from getting hit, then it's on them when there aren't any pallets left to drop.
