That is exactly your logic though. "One side having fun is unhealthy". That is LITERALLY what you said. Generally, those who lose don't find it fun while the winning side does. So it must be unhealthy.
Care to retract?
You are arguing a point that nobody is arguing.
You know what I was trying to say, you're just trying to be a dick about it.

Generally, nobody likes to lose. It's not fun the majority of the time. So by your own logic every game with opposite teams that compete for victory must be unhealthy for games as a whole. Seems legit.🙄
No, that's not my logic, you're just trying to misrepresent my point.
There's a difference between getting hooked 3 times and losing the game because you got outplayed and getting deleted instantly by a mori. Don't act like they're the same thing.

Last time I checked, killers and survivors aren't on the same team, aren't responsible for making the game fun for one another.
Last time I checked, only one side having fun isn't exactly healthy for the game's future.

How does adding new maps make the game stale?
Because they aren't releasing killers and survivors too if they dedicate their time to MORE maps only. Based on how the recent maps have been I wouldn't even want them to try and somehow release extra ones since the chapter ones have still been pretty bad anyways.

"WILL WE EVER GET UPDATES THAT JUST ADD ANOTHER MAP FOR AN EXISTING REALM?"
Probably not. No money gained from that and game becomes stale.

Or, we could just leave Mori's and keys the way they are. As stated many, many times...balance is great. Overbalance is horrible. Stop trying to siphon the fun out of DBD.
Since when did getting tunneled after first hook and deleted minutes into a match count as "fun"? Must have missed the memo

Remove the 2% progression on great skillchecks.
Red rank players will be able to hit these all the time and reduce the time on gens by roughly 10 secs or more on each gen.
Wondering why red rank killers have to run ruin even though red ranks always hit great skillchecks? Because Ruin denies the 2% progress.
Players deserve to be rewarded for hitting great skill checks with a slight boost. It's one of the few things survivors can actually strive to get good at while holding M1 forever.
Regardless, killers don't run ruin to deny the 2% progress lol. It does that, sure, but they're trying to capitalize on players missing the greats. I personally think ruin just discourages new players from playing the game at all and it's not good for the game, but that's a different topic entirely.

Isn’t it better to waste that kind of time to alleviate how often Oni can just Billy around the map?
Honestly it's situational. If there's already a ton of blood orbs on the map and only a gen or so left, it's better to just grind out the gen and deal with the consequences I think.
-
I would disable proximity chat if it became a feature.
Showing perks in the lobby will just make people lobby dodge if someone isn't running meta stuff (like no mither, MoM, etc).

Nothing to see here, just a pretty good job being done so far.

Pls explain why it doesn't need buffs, my example is not to make the perk OP but better than its current state
You will make new survivors who face ruin want to never play the game again. Actually, in general I wouldn't want to play as survivor at all with that buffed ruin being ran by everyone despite being able to hit greats pretty consistently.
-
People mainly complain about people urban evading to the corner of the map and using self care, hence wasting a TON of time that could've been spent on a gen.
If you're playing stealthy but still doing things, then your play style is great.

Yes I agree. But the last thing the devs should do in the meantime is endorse frequent disconnects. Nobody likes a match where people leave. If it got out that DBD was okay with DCs it would scare away potential new players.
When did they ever endorse frequent disconnects?

The only Killer that needs to get nerfed, in my opinion, is The Cannibal.
When I first started playing, I went against a lot of players using him. I've only escaped from him once and that's because the player was stagnant for, virtually, the whole match. It was only when there was just one Generator left to power did the player begin actually playing.
Needless to say, he downed one Survivor with The Chainsaw and just camped that one Survivor for the remainder of the match.
The Cannibal's ability to use The Chainsaw needs to be reworked. Whether it's a shorter duration or his movement speed is reduced. It's, virtually, inescapable. I've never not gotten hit with it.
The Cannibal is one of the worst killers in the game. You just gotta learn how to counter him, I'm sure there are plenty of guides on YouTube that can help ya out.

The argument wasn't about how long it takes to use an item (which by the way SWF voice chat is instant and free) but about how moris aren't fun for survivors so it's okay for them to DC during the loading screen.
Keys and SWF squads are also not fun for many players. If the logic of no fun=DC then those to should be okay reasons to DC.
In my opinion you shouldn't DC for any reason besides for life emergencies and cheaters. Moris, keys, and SWF squads are all anti-fun but they are a part of the game. Untill the devs deal with them we all have to endure them as a sacrifice to play the game.
Constant DCing is one of the worst qualities about this game.
Crazy concept: addressing why people DC will cause them to not DC anymore.
-
Cringe.

@Okapi said:

So then using that logic is it okay for a killer to DC during the loading screen if they suspect it's a SWF group or they saw a key? Keys and SWF squads can lead "to a way less enjoyable game for them."
Last time I checked, a key can't be used against a Killer within 2 minutes or less, so yes.

You can still run the harvester without balanced landing just fine.

By a "nice change in pace" do you mean "circumventing the entire point of playing the game and completely killing any survivor momentum, leading to a way less enjoyable game for them"? Because that's what Moris are. And that's why Survivors DC.

So killers are expected to bring Ruin because gens are completed faster than most killers can walk between them, and Bamboozle to counter building loops that otherwise would have to be chased through until the entity blocker comes into play after 3 laps?
That leaves 2 perk slots for a build rather than addressing the glaring problem.
It was only a few days ago the forum was littered with posts about Spirit and how unfair it was to expect survivors to bring Iron Will in case they came across her.
Players shouldn’t have to use perks to compensate for errors in design.
Or just don't run them in the insane loop and wait to find them in a less favorable position later. Gotta know when to just abandon chase.

It was a QoL change to maintain consistency (basic attacks being BASIC ATTACKS and not the killer's power), don't think they sought to gut Legion specifically.

Could be 10 or 20, it's hard to keep track how much time has gone by. Could pick up the survivor too early and get ds'd or waste alot more time to make sure that it's definitely timed out.
Alternatively it would be nice if there was a timer on the killer side to let us know or a 60 second whenever a survivor has been unhooked regardless if they have DS or not.
That would negate a majority of its purpose. I'll pass on that one.
-
@ermsy said:

Maybe you had a good start but the ds can ruin your momentum especially when you are not expecting it. Before you know it first guy ran off with DS and second guy has already been rescued and you have to start again.
I guess most killers have an issue with it because it feels unjustified to be punished for tunnelling when you weren't tunnelling.
You could alternatively not pick him up for like 10 extra seconds. If the team has to go for unhooks AND him, they're not doing gens.
-
@GhostofYharnam said:
It seems like it would somewhat doable. I can't even get passed 2 gens. Constant spirits with prayer beads and moris or just the biggest baked potatos I've ever met.
I recommend running bond and prove thyself. You don't need to completely do 3 gens, you just have to be on them when they pop off.

If you're able to hook other survivors and clap everyone's cheeks and still get DS'd by the original guy, I'd say you're winning the match regardless. I don't see how this is an issue.

Tunneling is solely focusing on 1 Survivor and ignoring all others. If I have already hooked somebody and then I go back and get the person with Ds that is not tunneling anymore. Plain and simple.
Then wait before picking them up.

One for one trades means you're farming your teammate and they're likely to go down again too. You need SWF for your hook bombing scenario in most cases. Taking pointless hits means you aren't likely to get many points anyways to make it worth taking(and that encourages you to play poorly). Just feels not worth overall.
Sure, I had one person get 2 stacks off me from farming me off the hook with BT, that was easy for him. What did that mean for me? If I had WGLF, no stacks because I was tunneled.
Gotta do what you gotta do to get those S T A C K S
Also yes, a 25% bonus to all your bloodpoints is worth that hit.

It's popularity is a problem because of the mathematical situation in which all four survivors will never be able to stack it, and the fact that you're not the only one unhooking people. It's trash compared to BBQ because BBQ gives you stacks so easily, while WGLF forces you to compete against other survivors.
I had to take it off because even going for unhooks, I could never get 4 stacks. I rarely got 2, because usually someone else got to the hook before me, even if I hightailed it to them. The difficulty of getting stacks needs to be made as common as BBQ. I can easily get 4 stacks of BBQ on most games. Getting 4 stacks of WGLF is a challenge to get in 1 game out of 20, unless I'm being a complete dick and bringing Borrowed Time, and farming people off hooks.
I've seen Peanits mention "Killers have BBQ, survivors have WGLF", which is completely silly because no, survivors don't have WGLF. Compared to BBQ, it's useless. I might get 25% of my normal BP, and if I'm LUCKY, 50%. K that's 25000 instead of 20000. Thanks for 5k extra BP. If I'm lucky I might get 10k extra, woo. Now look at all the killers getting 40k BP instead of 20k.
If I were to use the full 32k as an example. I'd normally get 40k with WGLF, and if I'm lucky, 48k. With BBQ I'd get 64k.
I rarely struggle with getting my stacks. You can get some easy stacks with protection hits in various scenarios, including 1 for 1 trades, exit gate hits at the end of the game, etc.
At the end of the day, if you REALLY want them, hook bombing gives you 2-3 easy stacks in a matter of seconds.
You can also just take pointless hits when the killer is carrying someone as well if you're really struggling to meet your quota (works really nicely in tandem with an active Decisive Strike).

@Bravo0413 You need to learn when to concede lmao. Doubling down on this is really illogical. Yes the shards glow, no you cannot see them unless you get right up her ass, and it's even more obscure with certain skins. So no, it's not a useful telltale of her using her power.

Oh really? That's a bummer. No clue what the spaghetti code even wants from us at this point lol
-
@Nazeef13 said:
Healing one is based on perks you have. As long as you have self-care equipped, healing through adrenaline, cleansing, medkit, second wind doesn't matter. Still counts.
Generator one is stupid because it is not based on equivalent of completing 3 generators. You actually have to complete 3 gens start to finish. If someone already worked on the gen it won't be complete. If you have to run with a 90% gen, and someone else finishes it, doesn't count.
For the gen one you just have to be on it when it pops off. You don't have to do 3 start to finish, I tested it.

You get no rewards when the ranks reset. The 1st week after the rank reset is very bad for survivors that play solo and for begginers that come to the game, in the past few days i encountered a lot of new ppl that got destroyed by the ppl that got higher ranks before the reset.
To let the potatoes at rank 1 go back to rank 10 for a few days
