Not true. I've seen multiple players say they don't want certain survivors (usually Claudettes) on their teams. If I recognize a survivor's name as someone who's helped the killer or sandbagged teammates, I'll dodge.
You know what'll happen if DCing and dodging are both punished? You'll either get fewer players, or you'll see more survivors suiciding on their first hook and killers that stand in a corner rather than interact with the survivors. There's no perfect answer, but at least with lobby dodging you're not forced to play a crap match and possibly de-pip at the end.
Anyways if you dodge the survivor will get mad and he will just leave the game
Same to lower players, bc no one wants to play lobby simulator (10+ Minutes)

This opens up a whole different can of worms. For starters, you would need a whole team of people to review all of that footage. The ACMs are already tied up with reports and appeals so that's not really an option. The support team is busy too, so that'd be out of the question. Beyond that, there's the dilemma of what is a good reason to blacklist someone? Is it just based on the game rules? If it is, we might as well just ban them like we already do. If it's not, then the question becomes why it's not and if it's worthy of blacklisting someone.
Ah, I see
Well I would like you to check this idea, and I would like to see what you think about this: When you have 200+ ping you get kicked from the lobby
Or just a simple idea
If you leave the lobby 3+ (Killer) you get a cooldown, maybe 15 minutes? 5+ 30 minutes
Is from @TAG
1) In the lobby, only show Survivor usernames at first. Survivor characters are not revealed at this time.
2)Then, once all the players have filled the lobby, bring up a prompt that shows all players' pings (Killer's username is not revealed) and a asks if everyone is okay with starting the countdown timer. Anyone who says no is kicked out with no penalty, and the remaining players keep waiting until everyone says yes.
3) From there, when everyone says yes, THEN all the Survivors are shown as normal, and players configure their loadouts according while the timer counts down. From here, anyone who leaves will be treated as having DC'd.
This is just the gist of it. The idea is that people can leave safely if they see too high pings and stuff, but they can't keep lobbydodging when they see loadouts they don't like.

You could also just deal with the various reasons killers constantly dodge lobbies rather than forcing them to subject themselves to it.
The only reasons I think a killer dodge is because
1 He's going against a toxic survivor
2 High ping
3 SWF/Flashlight/Medkit
4 Coward??
-
@thrawn3054 said:
Dodging because of bad ping is acceptable. Any other reason you are simply a coward.
Those who claim lobby dodging doesn't hurt anyone are flat wrong. Lobby wait times are made worse by every dodge.
That said I fail to see why people oppose a ban for lobby dodging. Obviously you couldn't ban for dodging a single lobby. But if it was set at a 30% threshold. Are you really telling me people who meet that aren't harming the game and deserve a ban?
Just add a system if you have 200/150+ Ping you get kicked.
It really makes me mad when someone just dodge

What would stop me from blacklisting anyone that beat me? As in, "This guy's a good killer, I'm going to block him so I get easier matches." Or "This survivor is good in chases, I'm going to block them." That could be very easily abused.
So, make that they need to send a proof (video) from the match?
But your right, the system could be easily abused

@Peanits Have you guys considered doing something like Overwatch does, where you can put players on an "avoid list" which only allows a limited amount (3 in OW I think) and resets periodically. I think this would cut down on dodging IMMENSELY because most instances of dodging are the same killer multiple times in a row (at least on Xbox). If a killer could put a player on this list and avoid them, if even only for a few days, they could search for a match and not worry about them showing up in the lobby and being forced to dodge. It would also help with DC's, as survivors can put killers on this list and avoid playing against the same toxic Dbag multiple games in a row.
It's worth looking into.
That's what I just say! They should add this..
And a system when you get 150/200+ Ping you get kicked

Why else would you want a punishment for lobby dodging ? lol
That's just straight up dumb.
Because no one wants to wait 10+ Minutes for find a match?
Why the killer can cherry pick who to play against and survivor dont?

@Peanits My love, why are killers allowed to dodge toxic survivors but survivors not allowed to dodge toxic killers? Shouldn't I be allowed to view the steam profile of the killer in the lobby then?
Why steam view profile is a thing?
-
@Tsulan said:
So uhm, survivors that lobby dodge get also punished?
How can a survivor dodge? lol
Every survivor that leaves the lobby is because they have high ping
-
@Peanits said:
It's a bit trickier than it seems. Punishing disconnects is pretty safe to do since people had the opportunity to leave in the lobby if there's an issue. Punishing people for leaving a lobby gets messy because there's multiple reasons why you might decide to leave. For instance:
- Bad pings
- Racial slurs
- People being toxic in chat
- Negative past experiences with one or more people in the lobby
In simple terms, we wouldn't want to punish someone because they don't want to play a laggy match, or for avoiding a guy that started insulted everyone last time they played and so on. Something like that could only work if there was a robust system that could determine if someone is a problem player and allowed people to leave, but that's out of the question at the moment. For the time being we are just focusing on disconnects from a match in progress.
So why not add a system that let you black list players, so you dont face them again?
Or when you get 150+ ping you get kicked
I dont think is fair to be waiting 10+ Minutes waiting a match just for a killer that cherry pick who wants to play against dodge
-
@Volfawott said:
As much as I don't agree with lobby dodging there is a massive difference between disconnecting in the middle of a game and screwing everybody over.
Avoiding the match before it even starts.
With the former you heavily reduce your teammates chance of survival also impacting The Killers bloodpoints and emblems.
It also just makes the game incredibly unfun as now survivors have an extremely difficult time and as a killer the match that could have been fun just turned into work really pathetic cakewalk that I'm not going to get much reward from.
Not to mention the fact that that match now has wasted add-ons items and offerings
As for the latter you lose nothing other than having to just wait for another match which can be annoying but it's nowhere near as detrimental as the former
Do you think is fair to be 10 minutes finding a lobby just for someone that dodge?
I agree DC should get a punish, but dodging too..

Ok Mr survivor, whatever lobby you join, you must stay in it till it starts otherwise you're a lobby dodger. I don't give a rat's ass if your ping reaches numbers that aren't named yet, you should be banned if you leave according to your logic.
Did you even read all what I write?
I NEVER say to ban people for lobby dodging, just only a punishment, like 5 min until join another lobby..
-
@drunky26 said:
I can only think of one reason you'd want this and it's because you're one of those that often DC and is salty about getting lobby dodged.
Yeah no.
"You're one of those that often DC"
Do you have any proof before judge me?

Ever heard of lagswitching ? Or generally unstable connections ?
Also DBD is designed for killer to react on what survivors bring into the lobby, sideefect of that is that they can cherrypick their matches. But if survivors were allowed to see killer then it would be impossible to get games as specific killers such as nurse since many survivors suck and they don't want to face them.
Through DBD's history it was never possible to see which killer you go against and even then survivors during specific periods of DBD's lifespam managed to find dozens of way to dogde players they didn't like because of their made up rules.
If you think that giving survivors ability to dodge killers is good for the game's health then you are delusional. Better change would be to give small timeout punishments for dodging.
For example a system that resets every 24 hours that allows killer to dodge a lobby 5 times without penalty and then they have to wait 5 min before they can create another lobby/join a game.
Just and idea but certainly better then most of your demands.
Well, i think we should take your idea, 2 dodge = 5 min
2+ dodge = 10 min
-
Huntress A tier?
Billy H tier?
Well I think is your list

I'm honestly amazed at how some people on here just lack the most basic logical thinking. Be honest here, did you even attempt to think this post through?
I'm honestly amazed at how some people dodge, just only because they are scared.
Let's be honest here, people that dodge want easy games against 4head survivor that heals in a corner.

@Cardgrey said:
I'd agree with ya with one rule if your ping is over 70 lobby kicks you.
Seems fine to me, just like in csgo, if you have a high ping you get kicked

Why are survivors allowed to use a third party program to relay each other information that they otherwise shouldn't have?
Because solo is a joke?

Yeah let's ban tbaggers too #kappa
New rule: if you press the ctrl key your automatically PERMA BANNED (Rip p3 claudettes)

@Arroz Don't bring in items and prestige clothing then i bet no one will dodge if it looks like an easy lobby.
Or last second switch.
I can't stop my teammates from being P3 claudettes.
And btw dont complain about rank be usseles, if we are going to add rank reward you should not be allowed who to play against
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:

Because killers are supposed to have that advantage. Survivors are meant to go in blind that's why it has always been this way.
And that advantage just destroy the gameplay.
You dont know how hard is to find a lobby in rank 1, dont you?
-
@Fab said:
Dodging exists for several reasons. Not just to avoid unwanted survivors, but also do avoid bad ping.
Simple.
You can leave the lobby if a survivor have 250+ Ping
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
@Arroz Because bhvr allows it?
Why wouldn't i dodge high ping players? Why wouldn't i dodge 3 toolboxes and a key if i wanted?
Maybe i don't like Life of the Party wearing jakes?
P.S. Survivors are op
Well, so survivor should be allowed to see who they are playing against.
Why can't survivor dodge 5 blinks nurse? Instasaw billy? IH huntress?

No.
DCing effects a match.
Dodging is avoiding a group.
Big difference there as one hurts the other doesn't
Why are you allowed to choose who you want to play against?

You can't win as leatherface, but you can as plague.
I have destroyed swf with trapper, so I dont know what u mean

It'd be a nice reward for people that played this game that much.
Remember the sparkles on the survivors during the Lunar event?
What if survivors gained that sparkle as a legacy 2.0 reward and killers obtained something like the black smokey aura that appears around hooks?
I have every killer at P3 50 and 6 of them max perks, Trapper, Huntress, Wraith, Hag, Spirit, and Freddy (Just in time for his rework!)
If they changed the grind again to make it easier it'd be nice for players to get something for their effort into the game before the change.
It'd be nice, but it probably won't happen.
The killer one is good, but the sparkle just exposed you all the match..

You mean, something really exclusive like legacy? Yes
Something like legacy, No

@UkilledLegion said:
@Bongbingbing buff solo survivors on par with SWF?u want hell for killers?
You need to read better,
he say to buff survivors to swf par level so we can buff killers
-
Just stop with this, swf is less than 5% (full group) and you guys still complain with this.
SWF just make the game more interesing, because THEY KNOW how to play, they are not braindead survivor that heal in a corner.
-
I agree if when a killer dc you get 4 stack and a survivor dc you get 1 for wglf

idk how for example add voice programs in Easy anti cheat or autodisconnect when voice program switch on.
So they are gonna create more voice programs and EAC will not detect it.
And what if they use a WhatsApp call, by using their phones? tell me how "EAC" will detect that?
-
Trapper is 2 killer i play most of the time (1 Is the spirit) and survivors rarely do that to me.
Maybe because im a p3 trapper?
-
I think there should be, because is a "chapter" and a chapter include, maps, killer and survivor.
It never say paragraph
-
They are fine now, i dont see any problem
-
Oh, I see, are you going to comeback when the ghostface dlc be out?
-
No
-
Can't believe some people complain about dead hard.
Just bait the survivor my god..
-
Why not? pig is getting cosmetic, Tapp is getting, why can't mikey and Laurie get some too?
Give some love to Laurie and Michael!!!
-
I've never experienced this bug as survivor or killer so idk
-
Change my mind.
Agree, im becoming a spirit main now :)
She's already in level 25
-
Yeah I noticed that, For example sole survivor "Solo quedo yo" JAJAJ

Thank you all the for the tips! and the builds

With that said, usually they gen rushing even with Ruin.
What @Almo said, they are over alturistic and you can use that to your advatange ;)
