I think DC penalty should be 5 to 10 minutes but not longer, the fact that it can go into hours is just ridiculous because depip is not significant enough as a punishment I guess.

I just avoid playing the game altogether and playing something else until BEhaviour improves it

No i think Habitual Dcers need to be punished, but the system needs to be able to tell the difference between a crash and a dc.

I apologize for going a bit off-topic. However:

    1. The penalty has already been disabled, so this thread has been "concluded", so to speak

I guarantee you that most DCs are intentional, with the DC penalty preventing an even bigger number of DCs.

How do I know the penalty works well? Besides the fact that there's a noticeable drop in DCs when the penalty is up, it's because people who DC regularly come to the forum to try to convince everyone that the penalty doesn't do anything and therefore the devs should remove it. They wouldn't bother if it was actually irrelevant.

This was never meant to be a discussion about whether or not the dc penalty is needed or not as a whole. I love the dc penalty and avocated for them to implement it but i think timing out players because your game is broken is bs. I never once said that it should be removed completely. You can put down your pitchfork

  • @Orion said:

Why make it easier for those who want to abuse the lack of DC penalty?

If you wanted to play the round, you wouldn't do so while you know the game is crashing. That doesn't make sense, because the crashes keep you from playing the round.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2282187#Comment_2282187

So the game has a 1/3 chance of crashing for you, with ever-increasing penalties, and you still try to play it? Why?

If it crashes and theres no penalty i will hop back on if i want to keep playing. I cant do that if theres a penalty. You can not play. Crashing wont diswade me unless theres a crash every game. The issue is the concept of punishing the players not the crash.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2281618#Comment_2281618

Removing the penalty isn't going to help with the crashing, though. The game will continue to crash at the same rate and you will have the same problem. The only people it'll benefit are the ones who DC at the drop of a hat.

Its salt on the wound that their dc penalty system punishes the players for their game crashing by timing them out. That is the issue not the crash itself. DBD goes through periods of it crashing randomly but the dc timer after is just BS

What is arrogant behavior to you? I play solo survivor. One game I played against a doctor player. I was clearly the best survivor on the team as the doctor player could not catch me and would have to leave chase to down one of the others in a matter of seconds. I did not flashlight click the killer. I did not emote the killer. I did tbag one of the other survivors because when the second survivor to be killed was down, he ran over to the hook to get the unhook with madness tier 3, only he couldn't get the unhook because the survivor was on death hook. Of course being madness tier 3, he screamed and the killer found him and downed him immediately. The killer slugged him and when I ran by him I tbagged for a laugh.

I finally ran out of resources of course and the killer caught me. He then slugged me the full 4 minutes. Usually I keep my chat shut off, but I was a little curious what he was going to say so I turned it on. He called me a toxic survivor, not because I tbagged the Jake, but because he couldn't catch me. I wasn't trying to be toxic to him, I was just trying to play the game and survive. But he only wanted to believe that I was and I deserved to be slugged for 4 minutes.

There are many different strategies that people don't find fun to play against on both sides. That doesn't make them toxic. Sometimes tbagging and flashlight clicking is the survivor trying to rile the killer up a little to make them make mistakes. It could also be to say "hey come chase me". You don't know what they mean by it until the end game and you can ask them. Why not give them the benefit of the doubt before you decided to exact some type of false vengeance? And those that are doing it to get under your skin aren't going to change. The killer getting tilted and trying to punish them is what they want.

Bming is obvious when you come across it. Its blatant and consistent. not a few bags or clicks. I dont do this to people who are trying to have fun or get my attention. Thats why i said i wasnt salty so that people knew that i wasnt getting tilted by random stuff like this. Just punishing excessive bming like tbagging clicking and emotes, in an arrogant way.

For myself, I generally won't do that just because there's always the slim chance it backfires on me and I don't want to waste my time doing it (rather just kill them and move along) but you do you. If they're gonna be a jerk, maybe a four minute timeout will make them think about what they've done.

Thats what my thought process is. Not malicious but i think about all the newer players that get bullied by swfs like this and feel like i can do something about it, and maybe stop the behavior

Sorry, but you're not a Killer main. You might have Killer stats, but you're a Survivor Brain.

Attacking a player that's injured instead of a player that's healthy is not, in any remotely possible way, "scummy".

You definitely exposed yourself with that remark, my dude...

    (No pun intended.)

No you just dont understand full team pressure, im a hooks over kills styled killer. When survivors let me that is, no mercy for sweaty swfs. So I do think that spreading pressure to all survivors by injuring the healthy one is the smarter play. However I'm not against slugging the freshly unhooked survivor to apply pressure but if i feel like i am in control of the map i will most definitely not hook the survivor that was just hooked. Feels bad to just be farmed because of bad teammates. So its team dependent and there's an argument to be made to go after the healthy survivor. Might i suggest you get some empathy and play more solo que survivor so you can face the scummy killers im talking about.

  • @TGB said:

Just show the buff aura immediately... Don't have it wait until the Survivor gets hit...

As it is right now, it's basically a 5th Perk, to put it as shortly as possible.

    ----

As it is right now, you LEARN that somebody has it by hitting a Survivor and then they glow white... but you're now stuck in place on attack cooldown animation. And that's a huge loss. That's an escaped Survivor, you lost 'em.

And not only that, but you have this on potentially 3 more Survivors, too.

    But maybe not!

    And that's the REAL kicker.

That's why it's a 5th Perk. The only way to counterplay it is to assume they have it. You can't afford to swing at them in order to learn. But, my freaking god, it's TWELVE SECONDS!! I have to ride their buttcheeks for TWELVE SECONDS, just based on the assumption that they are buffed by their rescuer.

But maybe they AREN'T! Maybe the rescuer does NOT have Borrowed Time! But since I have to respect it anyway, then they basically DO have it, now, don't they?

And then for the ultimate "mind games," if you end up testing it and learn that they DO have Borrowed Time... now you kind of assume EVERYONE will have it. But, again, maybe not! Maybe only that ONE guy has it, and unhooked a Surv, and you smacked 'em. And maybe that was going to be the only time anyone was ever Enduranced all game. But, alas, you spent the rest of the game respecting a non-existent buff for TWELVE SECONDS each time just because you really cannot afford not to.

    ....

    UGH. It's just pure misery.

Is this ever talked about??? It seems like a very obvious & glaring issue, to me.

this is bait right? killer main mostly here who plays rank 1 solo survivor as well. Good killers are not effected by bt, it is no where near an issue like noed or keys. it is a perk to deter scummy play by killers mostly and its been kind of nerfed so that abuse is punished by good killers. Theres a learning curve and prediction involved but that does not make the perk op. It means you have to learn to play around it

this is not the internet but one Videogame. And the devs don’t want that kind of talk. And there is obviously a big part of the community that has a problem with this as well.

if you get hurt by not being able to talk like that in end game chat that’s kind of your problem. There is definitely no need to formulate texts like this.

you dont understand what im saying. This one videogame exists online. That is the internet. The phrase shouldnt be associated with those nasty people and i refuse for nasty people to dictate how i talk end of story. You can bend your knee to these people all you want to protect those who are sensitive that doesnt mean i have to agree with you or think you are right. We should report the people who abuse language and they should be held accountable. Not restrict our language. The real issue is that the devs dont want to act on these nasty people because there goes a paying customer. So in order to appease the people who have been complaining about the nasty side of the fan base without alienating said nasty fanbase they did this bs, at least thats my theory. And regardless of your opinion it is bs

The report is not gonna take those harmful messages away from those people that may not be mentally fit enough for those kind of nasty messages.

sorry, but the forums have shown that MANY MANY people had big problems with this kind of end game chat. There were multiple posts complaining about that.

including me, agree to disagree. People who are hurt by words by playing an online game need to reevaluate how they look at online interaction. This is the internet people will always be #########

  • @Mooks said:

I mean.. sacrifice yourself is the better term to describe it in-game. Or giving up. Or letting go.

there are many ways to describe the actual in-game mechanic that are better fitting than that.

we have a report function for people who are nasty, and they should be reported. We should not be curving the way we talk around those people. That's illogical if we have the report function. I'd agree if that didnt exist.

  • @Mooks said:

uhm... that’s a phrase that definitely should get censored though.

whys that? its a base part of the game? obviously in the wrong context it should be reported, but censored? Thats a bit dumb considering the game we are playing and mechanics involved.

Personally he doesn't feel all that scary, in horror there is a limit to when it becomes action that tends to be good for only a while, and what horror is that has players clenching their seats. From what I watched from RE 3 both OG and remake, it felt more action packed then scary. Even the intro in remake had me going, 'okay this is a bit much, I get it Nemesis is indestructible.' The fact of me knowing what he is and can do just kinda destroyed my fear for the character, sure he did a bunch of stuff before hand but he began to grow as an annoyance really.

That's why I find both Mr.X and Jack baker scarier. Mr.X for one is the fact the guy reminds me of Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees, he is even more terrifying for the fact he doesn't say anything, he comes in he kills you that's it. For Jack Baker's case, it comes from his psychotic carisma, unlike the other villians of RE he feels like he came from Outlast, and is terrifying to imagine what the guy would be like IRL. They both have a realistic aspect to them that is unsettling

agreed I always found nemesis more annoying then scary

  • Being a massive fan of RE, hot take, Nemisis would be a lame addition to DBD. He presents the reason why RE went down the rabbit hole of 4 5 & 6. He's part of RE's biggest mistake. Prioritizing action over horror. Bad fit for dbd, I think if they use a Tyrant mr x or RE1 Tyrant is a better fit. But There are better monsters in re lore they could use.

Killer mains are so cringe with their assumptions, I play solo almost exclusively, when I stream I sometimes team up, but I don't use comms, and when I play off stream which is incredibly rare I only play with one other person.

Here is dozens of hours of me playing solo or queued with 0 comms - https://www.twitch.tv/senzuduck/videos?filter=archives&sort=time

Honestly so embarrassing how killer mains always make these wild assumptions, sorry I don't follow the "killer is hard" trend that the forum likes to push, I don't find killer hard, not my fault.

Try again though, maybe your assumptions will be right next time.

its so cringe when streamers try to self advertise and make assumptions. i play both killer and survivor split down the middle. I also love how instead of trying to make arguments to counter what i said you made condescending jabs at me. Further proving my point

  • @Seanzu said:

You know the majority of people don't actually struggle against SWF. The ones that do just seem to congregate on this forum and create a huge echo chamber, I would suggest putting more hours into killer, it's not that hard.

Comms between players by itself is a detriment to killer. Theres zero compensation for this in game. the difference between normal survivors and swfs are massive. Pair that with synergies between survivors perk builds and dedicated roles. Your logic is flawed or you prey on the imbalanced nature of the game in that environment.

It takes no braincells to see how swfs break this game. The fact you even responded like this tells me you dont solo que at all and play with sweat squads. You just want to see this trend continue

3). More dynamic maps that change the layout considerably.

4). An extra objective for survivors.

5). Blood Warden to get a rework to combat 99% doors.

6). A "Silent Hill: The Room" chapter like "Stranger Things". That is to say 2 survivors (Henry Townsend and Eileen Galvin) and 1 killer (Walter Sullivan, a.k.a "The Orphan" or "The Eleventh").

It may be that this tactic is necessary in the red Navy Seal SWF to still pull out a win, but in a "normal" game this is absolutely shooting cannons at sparrows.

Call me old fashioned, but I still see the killer as a playmaker of sorts and as such I try to adapt. Normally, you can get away with playing fair against average Redranks. A slugfest is never really necessary and is no fun for the other side.

And personally, I want to be a killer that's fun to play against. The kind of killer I want to have when I play Survivor.

But in general, everyone should play the way they want to.

I completely agree. I typically dont like to do these dirty tactics and only do it when i feel like its necessary. I don't want to play sweaty either but like you said when they act like a Navy Seal SWF then it leaves me with few options

Right, so I'm the troll here when your entire "argument" is contradictory. Talking about balancing issues, if these "tactics," which you have not detailed nor described, can be used to salvage a game after 3 gens have been popped with no hooks, then that's the real issue, not quick gen speeds. That's literally the same thing as a bunch of rich people complaining how it's so hard to have to walk with their own legs while the peasantry and poor are starving to death next-door. It

You claim that "If the devs wont balance the game properly then the killers have to salvage the match after survivors do this. These are tactics to spread pressure and force survivors to come to them and get off of the objective. It might suck from the survivors point of view but at that point blame balancing," but also claim that "the game where they popped 3 gens I 4ked."

I don't see which part of this is so hard to understand: If you can get a 4k after losing three gens with no hooks (which is really suspicious anyhow, you have to purposely try to have that happen), then the real problem is not generator speeds, but whatever the hell you're doing to win the game. Generator speeds don't matter when the survivors are all dead. Clearly, if your story is true, then that's the true problem here. Either that or your story is a lie. Make your choice.

Just a suggestion, maybe try attacking the argument instead of me so you don't look like childish and petty.

I've already given you the proper reasoning and you seem to just not believe the situation. My argument is not contradictory, I looked for a survivor patrolling gens. I'm assuming that as i passed they hopped on separate gens, it takes 80 sec to pop a gen no aid. it is completely beliveable that they can do that in under 2 minutes and there are plenty of examples of it out there. Its not my fault you cant take someones word for it. The reason i won is because they came to the hook and i downed them and slugged them. Forcing someone else to come for the save. I dictated the pace of the match after the initial hook. Real easy logic

There is a suspicious inconsistency here. You can't get 4k's after sitting around idly for 3 gens, and if you did, you have absolutely no reason to be complaining if you're that much of a god at this game. If you're so good that you can keep up that much pressure so quickly but still go onto the forums to claim that this is a problem, I don't see what the issue is.

You claim that survivor objective speeds need to be lengthened. Why should such a change be undertaken if the current state of the game is such that you can get 4k's after standing still for three generators, or as you claim? I'd say that the bigger issue in this case would be precisely what you are doing, not quick generator times. You have your ways (presumably tunneling, I'll admit I've done it too) to decisively win games that are nigh unwinnable. According to you, ostensibly quick generator speeds are flat-out countered by your Machiavellian modes.

But, if you're so sensitive to be attacking my character over disagreeing with you, I wouldn't be much surprised. Talk about being judgmental. Where have I heard that before?

    So troll, got it.

The whole thread is about how i think its a necessary evil. People need to get over it. I'm saying I'm saying dont like that i have to use thesse tactics as much as the survivors but its a balancing issue, and you're saying git gud. So you're a troll

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2039885#Comment_2039885

If you understand how to dismantle teams, then you wouldn't have problems with so-called "genrushing." Make your choice, you can't have both.

Now, if they're hiding, they aren't doing gens. Even if they work on a gen and then go urban evade into a corner, you know that they will be around because the gen has been worked on. If you're sticking to a strict patrol of generators (even on something like Mother's Dwelling), then you would be able to identify which gens have been worked on, and thus, the approximate location of survivors. Most killers have an un impressing early game, so don't expect a generator to fly at your first hook, but at that point, your pressure begins to ramp up.

Even with good coordination (AKA, being efficient), they can't create extra time. Getting survivors on hooks, or even just slugging, means that somebody has to get the save. If you intercept them, then another person has to go for the save while you chase another survivor. Already, only one survivor doing generators. At that point, it's up to your ability to end chases quickly. You have to be just as coordinated, and again, work strategically to identify and break through links. If the Blendette ends up being kind of bad, what a surprise, get her out of the game quick.

your whole argument goes out the window when i tell you that the game where they popped 3 gens i 4ked. My tactic works. I dont like using it. I end chases quickly and manage teams efficiently. You are very judgmental. I'd say at this point you are trolling or a survivor main

  • @ShamelessPigMain said:

It's literally survivors' job to do gens. What are they supposed to do, sit around and let them hook you?

It's your job, as the killer, to apply pressure to get them off of gens. That could be patrolling gens to push them off, but it could also just be chasing effectively. Survivors who are on the ground or on the hook are survivors who are not doing gens, and survivors who save said survivors are survivors who are not doing gens. These are the tactics in your arsenal to stave away gens.

The only way that 3 gens would pop in two minutes is if you spend the first two minutes chasing one survivor, in which case it's nobody's fault but yours. You need to keep deranking in that case, because chases should not last for anywhere near two minutes. At most, they should last about 40~ seconds, at which point they should have used their dead hard and be close to be getting downed, or you need to rotate and find a weaker link in the chain. You need to be efficient with your time. If I ever have a chase last more than 20 seconds, I make a mental note to not chase this survivor again, and identify the weaker links in the chain. Chase and eliminate survivors strategically.

I win about 90% of my games and have to decide mid game whether im facing a team like this or not. I typically go for as many hooks as possible since the game rewards you for doing that, but i will not throw away a game to "play nice" against teams like that. Once i realize they are coordinated and not potatoes I have to switch and use dirty tactics.

I understand that what survivors do but these tactics are used as tools to counter good teams. It may not be "fair" to survivors but games that fly like that dictate how i play.

And nah you assume to much. I understand how to dismantle teams. In that particular game i patrolled until i found someone and efficiently downed them. 2 hits quick hooked. the reason why 2 minutes passed is because they hid until i found someone and then immediately hopped on 3 separate gens or hopped on as i passed. Good coordination causes this gens are 80 sec, its not hard to see

But to what extent does camping stop the genrush? If you're on the hook and you stay there, you can't protect your gens?

Tunnelling may be helpful in some situations, or at least slugging one or two survivors, but camping mostly (unless they all swarm the hook) makes no sense.

I'm not talking hard camping and its situational. At highest level with no other options the best tactic is a slug tunnel. It plays off the teams altruism. The only counter to this tactic is if the team are selfish and just genrush. If i can pressure gens i will but if the situation calls for a slug fest and tunneling then i will

  • @sulaiman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038190#Comment_2038190

your logic is flawed, because your argument applies to only a part of the killer community. There are others that will camp and tunnel anyway, no matter if gens pop or not. As a solo survivor, i see it often enough, when killer camp and tunnel with no gen done at all.

anyways, i had games where the 5. gen popped with 3 survivors alive, and the killer managed to get a 4k, because everyone was already hooked twice. The game is not over at 3 gens, and not even at 5 gens (thats why blood warden and noed exist (and should; dont nerf noed, its just a survivors decicion to slow the game down by doing totems or get hit by it after!). Its over when noone is left to escape (or to kill).

This is why i didnt think you read the whole post. I take both sides into the equation

Yeah mate. So don't commit to the chase. Pallets are also a resource if you're getting them dropped quickly that is more detrimental to the survivor team than killer. You're going to lose your team the game if you predrop every pallet safe, god or whatever.

Thats not true at all, if you cant get hits and downs gens will fly because the team has no other objective. Its up to killer to apply that pressure and they cant do that if the survivors play real safe

  • @Toblerone007 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/236260/quit-complaining-about-camping-and-tunneling-if

Nah you can do so much more about gens popping quickly.

You're very limited when saving a camped/tunnelled player.

    There's a difference.

I'm not talking about how fair a tactic is. What i'm saying is that it is a direct counter to gen rush.

Survivors rush their objective, killer rushes theirs

  • @Firellius said:

Camping and tunnelling are the exact opposite of an anti-genrush tactic, as you're applying zero pressure on any other gens. If the survivors catch on to what you're doing, you're losing those last two gens in 80 seconds or less.

Obviously each situation is different and not all games are winnable. It depends on how altruistic the team is. If I can tell they are all coming for the hook then I'm slugging for pressure. If no one comes i will make my way towards gens. Camping and tunneling do pull teams. They dont pull solo if they are selfish, but more times then not gens popping that efficiently means good coordination which means team

They are popping gens in the first two minutes because of your playing not theirs

nope they hide around the map and time them hopping on gens with me finding the first survivor and i have an efficient chase and down and hook them but by then they've popped 3 gens. In no way that is an issue on my end. Good coordination and survivors almost always guarantees this outcome

  • @Khosrow said:

I don’t understand your logic on this one. “Don’t like that I play dirty? Don’t like that I rely on dirty tactics because I don’t know how to rotate around the map and succeed in my chases? Well maybe you should just quit playing the objective because it’s ridiculous”

    what dude

I play the game at high level and with killer win 90% of my games. I even won the game im talking about but i knew within the first 2 minutes i had to play sweaty and unfair because of the calibure of survivor i was faceing I always go for 12 hook if the team isn't efficient. You assume to much and if you think its incompetence that this opinion comes from look at tournament play where its all slugging and camping. Its not a hard perspective to see

Thats maybe the only time I can see camping as a possible tactic when gens are popping like its cool and you make the players come to you. I wish that were the only time it is used. Sadly, I play a couple of hours or so a night and I consistently see killers camping on the first hook and only one gen is popped. It is sad I have to use up a slot for kindred just to see the killer camp. I guess the way to stop this type of camping is when killers constantly lose games because they sit camping and all gens are done and players are out the gate,,,maybe then they will learn. It is a problem but players can solve this not really the devs.

Thats what I'm saying that if they fixed the balance of the game so the survivor objective doesnt fly by we can start talking about punishing camping and tunneling via new mechanics. You cant expect players to play the way you want if the game isnt balanced, for me its for killers to play fair/nice. No camping tunneling. In its current state in high level play its not always an option for killer

Sorry brother the majority of camping I see is killers camping after 20 secs of the game starting and not one gen (or maybe one) has popped and there is already a survivor on the hook. So no it usually isn't three gens popping then camping. Most killers who camp are going to do it right from the start regardless of survivors on gens. They see it is a "go to" tactic always and it isnt,,,its lazy game play just to win. I run kindred always just for his because it happens so frequently.

im not talking about those killers. Thats why i prefaced my comment with the 3 gens popping thing. I hate camping and tunneling, doesnt mean i wont use it to balance the game

that they'd change slightly depending on the killer and the perks. E.g. a killer with no map pressure would cause the map to be slightly smaller, trapper and hag might cause denser grass/have their traps be a different color, etc. And at the same time some details would change to balance it, like slightly higher obstacles on loops against certain killers, more nooks and crannies to duck into and out of the line of sight etc

Thats a neat idea, however i dont think they would do it because it would require so much work and they aren't exactly the fastest at tweaking maps

This is the correct observation, rather than dithering about trying to say 'We gotta repair gens this is a stupid post."

Like... yeah you do, and actually doing gens fast IS a counter to camping because if you ignore the hook everyone pips save the killer and person on it. So the killer is FORCED to leave if you do em fast.

But structurally, the killer needs to TRY to force a snowball and if they fail they may just give up and retreat to secure a kill. And a big problem with DBD is very few things in the game exist to try to 'bound' outcomes.

Like, a lot of people rag on bloodlust, but bloodlust is an anti-infinite AND bounding mechanic. We need MORE of those that still allow players to display skill but not get literally infinite value out of certain interactions.

Also so many discussions on how the game should be break down as people interpret it as an indictment of how people play. In reality, its a prisoner's dilemma problem: go hard because being nice never improves your personal situation. No one can judge you for that. But out of the game we should be able to say 'W meta is a problem' or 'repair times are a problem' or 'killers camp too much' and not have it be about judgement of the players, but instead trying to understand why these things happen and how to fix them structurally rather than all constantly fighting like animals and bullying each other while BHVR laughs because us taking it out on each other means they don't need to balance the game.

I'm not so sure the devs are that malicious as to laugh at us. More like incompetent ie ethan nurfing lullaby because he cant play survivor. or their scared they will push away over half of the fan base by pissing off whinny toxic swfs who complain the loudest even though they are not the majority of survivors out there. I think they need to just balance the game and whatever happens will be healthiest for it. We will get rid of the people who dont want balance and attract people by the game being a more fair experience

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

You need to stop caring what people say and just play your game man.

also just ignoring problems solves nothing. Mew playing survivor is impacted by this as well because we get more unnecessary camping and tunneling because killers aren't confident enough in their abilities to keep up with swfs or top tier teams. So they treat every game as this and me solo queuing with potatoes gets a killer that does this when it wasn't even necessary

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

Said it before, saying it again:

The best solution to things would be dynamic maps. The game does have the mechanics to allow for it, but the game does not seem to have a dev team that wants it, no matter how much it'd improve the QOL.

what do you mean by dynamic maps?

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

i do care about what the community thinks. These survivors think they are getting screwed by killers, and thats not the case. It's a dev issue. This doesn't impact my game very much im just tired of seeing people misunderstanding why killers do these things

  • @Mat_Sella said:

if you don't pop a certain number of gens in a reasonable amount of time, its even harder to punish campers.

So, no. your logic is completely and utterly flawed.

Slowing gen times only buffs camping.

also slowing gen times is just a number of options put forth by the community. There are many ways to fix this. I play both sides i also dont want to hold m1 for any longer then what is already required

how is my logic flawed? did you even read the whole post? I stated that those are the tools that the killer uses to combat gen rushing. Not that anyone wants killers to do that. Good killers included. I said at the end that after they balance the game they should find ways to punish tunneling and camping as they wont be needed if the game is balanced.

  • @linancy said:

If we're not fixing gents, we're dead.

This is the only reason I'm rushing to escape.

no i get it. The gens popping so fast is not the survivor players fault, thats the fault of the devs unable to balance the game. So killers counter it with dirty tactics. which no one wants in the game. My issue is that survivors pop gens like that and expect the killers to play nice

i have over 2k hours and have never once been dc'd from the server where it resulted in a ban. i don't understand all of these posts claiming so. it must be your internet?

nope it was a steam error. Happens every once and awhile. congratz on your pristine internet. Still doesnt help people who have this issue

Honestly the amount of times waiting in lobby for over 5 mins because killers spawn in and think a group of solo survs are a SWF.

I just don't get it. fine you don't want to play a group of SWF but you don't know if it is before you play, sick of waiting to get into a lobby and then having to wait a extra 5/10 mins because killers keep leaving because they think it could be a SWF. its stupid the game has them but dodging one you think could be might put you in another where it actually is a SWF💆‍♀️

    I just find it pointless

If they balance out swf not to be op maybe i wont care about dodging them. Who wants to play against nasty swfs who take advantage of this games unbalanced side
