I just have to say it's funny to see the people complaining about FNAF continuing to make topics about it and engaging people on it.
Do you want the discussion to end, or not?
-
Nemesis would be considered modern since he's based on the new RE3. Same with Freddy and the newest Nightmare film. Like My Bloody Valentine and The Mist, they're older properties with newer versions.
-
Because this isn't a very good place to begin with lol
-
I got my post deleted and a warning last time I shared my thoughts on him lmao So better not.

Yea I think in 20+ matches I had one where the killer didnt camp, and that was because they were afk.
Bummer. I hope for both our sake we have better luck over time. 😭

@Junylar said:
Because his facecamping is easily countered by cooperative actions of survivors. If you are getting camped to death - it's your team's fault.
I wouldn't say it's easily countered with his one shot in mind, but it is obviously possible to outsmart him.
OP, even though it's frustrating, it's considered a valid gameplay strategy so there's nothing to be done about it. You can suicide on hook if you want to leave the match or stay on to buy time for your teammates to do gens. It's up to you. There's no wrong way to play.

I’ve been maining bubba for a while now so I’d imagine i’m not too far away from unlocking them. I ain’t gonna worry about it.
Yeah. The more you just play and have fun, the quicker they'll come along. Like someone else said too, people are gonna be using Jake more often lately so it's a good time to play.

Bud, just stop for a second a think about how obvious hell and pin clues were, just put out there in the bright light and pretty much appearing to confirm pinhead identity. If there could ever be a red herring, that's exactly what it would look like, why are you buying it so easily?
Unrelated, but what's with the jail bars over your icon? I've been wondering why people have it.

But there's a cute puppy dog sweater in the shop right now 🤡
Who cares about bugs?
-
I don't think there is. You just have to do it until it activates.
-
Just want to point out that this much discussion across various platforms more than indicates people want it.
It's similar to Kate's face rework. I doubt most people even care about it at all, but there's a lot of talk about it everywhere. People clearly want it. Same with the demand for an LGBT character.
Fussing about whether a majority of players want something or not is moot. If we had a poll showing that everyone who voted thought FNAF was a yucky stinky poo poo [redacted] franchise and refused to play DBD anymore if it were put in the game wouldn't dictate whether or not the opportunity is taken if and when it comes along.
Essentially, the majority is probably totally apathetic about it and even if a lot of people dislike something, it doesn't mean that the opinion they're opposing isn't popular enough to be legit.

I'm fine with them not saying anything, but it was the fact that the Feng on their team chose to complain about being hit down at the exit gate (even tho she escaped) instead of showing gratitude.
Yeah, unfortunately that happens. I've had people complain to me in post-game chat over all kinds of things too. I'd just say try not to take it to heart and that they were probably the only person in the match that didn't appreciate the gesture.
-
I've noticed a lot more camping, which has been pretty uncommon in my games for a while. The kind of camping you're talking about where they just stand there or run around my hook in circles without ever chasing anyone.
There was one Michael that instantly moried all of us within the first 2 minutes, which was honestly kind of a nice break from being on hook 90% of the other games lol
Other than that, nothing too different.

@Huge_Bush said:
Keep your hopes low and you won't be disappointed.
Best advice, unironically lol
-
It's a popular franchise that fits the style of DBD, so it's something people who like both games naturally think about. It's the same thing with killers from other games and movies that tend to stalk and easily overpower their victims. So while lots of people would love to see a Clock Tower crossover or rare specimens like me who want to see Prom Night come to DBD, they're far outnumbered by people that want more accessible crossovers like FNAF or Friday The 13th (which I want too btw lol).
Regardless of what anyone says, the idea for a FNAF crossover is not uncommon and tends to pop up anywhere the game is discussed.
As to why it's so hotly debated, I'd have to say that the strong opposition from the people that think they're too cool for the series tends to light a fire under the people that want to express their enthusiasm about the possibility. Emotions run too high, so it just causes people to talk even more about it.

@Marigoria said:
The problem with the arguments I've seen some killer mains using on the forums, is that if you use the same logic but "survivor sided" they don't like it.
Some killer mains say they don't owe you a good time, and they're not here to make your game "easy", but then will complain about "genrushing", looping, "pressing w", keys etc.
Double standards and victim complexes.
To put it bluntly, most people who post here are huge crybabies that feel sorry for themselves.
Whenever a discussion starts or evolves into x, y, and z being "blank-sided" or trash talking everyone that prefers the role opposite that they do, you can pretty much assume they play the game in a very masochistic way and aren't here to listen to other points of view or to discuss so much as they are to shout into the void after a bad game and get validation for it.
Which they're totally free to do of course, but it gets old lol

This.
Recently I farmed as Clown because there was a tome challenge I was too much of a pussy to try and accomplish.
Anyway, one of them dced, so it makes even more sense to farm.
I let free of them go but I accidentally hit Feng at the accident gate while she was exposed.
In the post-game chat, NONE of them said thank you or gg, literally none of them. The Feng chose to complain instead about being hit down at the exit-gate. I called them ungrateful and just left.
To be fair, a lot of people don't engage in post-game chat just because it can unpredictable. As long as people don't BM, that should be considered thanks enough.

Now I'm not talking going head-over-heels for Survivors and using every moment as a chance to help them, but just show some friendliness where you see a scenario ripe for the picking. Just last game as Ghostface I had someone getting me to force-hook them (which I prefer over them DCing) and then I had two of their teammates down only about a minute and a half later after I stalked them both on shack gen... so I closed hatch (didn't want to have the game ending super quickly), messed around a bit, and then committed to the usual non-stalk chase. After downing them, I didn't hook them. As you may have suspected, I carried them halfway across the map to a gate. They stopped wiggling once I walked straight past two hooks, and then I let 'em get the gate.
Now, I know plenty of us do this already, but you're not sacrificing much by letting a person go or not always playing for kills. I literally spent five minutes of that game just messing around. That's what some people need to get; this is a game, and you should have fun. Now whether or not you classify being nice to Survivors as linked to that fun or detrimental to it, you cannot deny that having nice Survivors makes you happy when you get them. So, just return the favour every once and a while if you don't already.
It isn't too hard to ask. Majority of us do play for fun, after all.
Also, I can see these comments igniting with loathing for my cause and just otherwise brimming with non-related discussions, so, please, as per the forums rules... keep it civil and respectful. I appreciate it. :)
I enjoy playing nice with the killer most of the time too. I always do little things to give them a break. I don't usually get much in return for it, but it's how I like to play and it makes me feel good.
While I wish more people played like you and I, the forum so easily devolves into us vs. them mentality and turns into everyone making excuses as to why they play sweaty/oppressive or BM. You can already see that with the replies in the thread so far.
Although to be totally fair too, everyone has the right to play however they like. People also have the right to complain about whatever they want. But it'd be nice if people didn't take it all so seriously.
-
If at least one other survivor that helped me or who I helped during the match gets to escape because of the time bought by my death.
-
I think Pinhead can fit perfectly fine. It'd just be akin to how Pyramid Head works. The Entity can probably entice him by giving him access to victims that he can torture indefinitely.
I like Frank, and he'd definitely fit the game mechanics better, but despite how cool he looks skinned, he's no Cenobite. As someone mentioned above, he's a great character that's integral to the first two films but he's not the one on the poster.

Bias? What bias? This is literally what happened.
People complaining about old Franklins: 0
Franklin's gets buffed: OMG! It's unfair! Change it! Nerf it! I should keep my item no matter what!
No one complained until it countered early hatch escapes. That's not bias; it's a fact.
The bias where all of your posts are you feeling sorry for yourself. Players don't have to have a nefarious reason behind disliking a perk.
There was a thread recently that I participated in where we talked about Franklin's being annoying. Not OP or broken (which the OP here didn't even mention either), just inconvenient. It's not a new opinion and it's easy to understand why someone wouldn't be thrilled about losing their medkit and add-ons.
Honestly for as much as people post about how unfun and unfair the game is because of keys and hatch, you could cut someone a break for posting about their own grievance. I mean I don't agree that it's an unfair perk, but I don't have to whine or be snarky about it.
-
The real thing that needs to be cleared up is that it's not a mod lol
-
It essentially seems the same. Just a little more punishing than before. But at least there's arguably more counterplay if you're able to bring Built To Last and Streetwise.
@Power_Guy said:
I love how Franklin's Demine was perfectly fine...until they made keys need at least 1 charge to open hatch. Suddenly it's 'unfun' or 'OP' or 'unfair'. 😂
Here we go again with the bias lol People are always complaining about keys and hatch, so it's not a big deal if someone dislikes Franklin's. Especially since it's not just about keys.
-
There's a lot of fun movies on youtube for free all the time. Some available from youtube themselves (like Child's Play right now), but many uploaded from users. Mostly films that are either abandoned or with limited releases.
I watched a great one recently, Terror Eyes from 1989. It's a student film project with some faces you might recognize.
-
It's not a good map for DBD but I still enjoy it.
They probably should've taken into account that a lot of people haven't played RE2 as much as some of us have, so they just end up frustrated. It would've been neat if they shook things up a bit and closed off certain floors or allowed us to play in the streets.
Like variant 1 is the first two floors, variant 2 is the basement and sewers, and variant 3 is the RPD grounds and streets of Raccoon.

What made 6 special for you? Genuinely curious.
It felt like peak Resident Evil to me.
The plot and new characters reminded me a lot of the kinds of scripts we had with RE2, CODE:Veronica, and Zero. Eccentric mastermind in a grand conspiracy, weird shapeshifting madness. The way the plot was pieced together was exciting as well.
With the action so over the top and intense, it felt a lot like what the Raccoon outbreak could've been like with modern tech. It felt as chaotic as RE3 did. I enjoyed the gameplay and the weapons we got too. Interactive bosses like the Ogroman were so fun.
Not everything about it was perfect of course, but I think it did the best it could and I'm always pretty amazed when I come back to it.

In the Swamp? I've never got lost in that one. Have gotten lost in others though.
In the maze area underneath the main building. It tends to change between variants and get really obtuse.

@Jasix said:
It's called main bias. Unfortunately a large majority of the forum posters are "mains" of either survivor or killer. Due to their limited exposure to both roles their viewpoints tend to be biased, hyperbolic, and full of inaccuracies. Whenever I see a post that says something like:
"Survivors"
"All Survivors"
"Killers"
"All Killers"
"Why do all...survivor/killers"
... I just roll my eyes and know that we are in for yet another vomit inducing circle jerk thread where one side vigorously strokes the ego of one another.
A lot of the forum posts are simply people whining about their loss and trying to blame others instead of taking any responsibility for their own game play. They like to blame perks, maps, and let's not forget the big ol' boogeyman that is SWF. If these forums had an actual ignore/block function it would make browsing them so much more enjoyable and maybe allow for actual conversations on topics without all the BS and main bias.
I know people have a million reasons why blocking in-game wouldn't work, but it's bizarre to me that blocking on the forums isn't a thing. Sometimes it's the best way to avoid conflict.

I see what you're saying but adult ≠ okay with swearing, insults, NSFW content etc.
Just because someone is an adult does not mean they want to see or interact with that. Not to mention that it's probably a big detterant for license-holders. A lot of companies would rather not be associated with that kind of thing.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just offering an explanation for why it may be that way.
I definitely understand this view. But at the same time, the content they've licensed tends to be heavily centered around strong language and sex. Therefore I'd think the majority brought to the game via those licenses wouldn't be too off-put by that sort of content.

That's how I felt about it too. The worst of it was a picture of Leon and Chris kissing, which I'd understand if that got deleted. But the bulk was just people posting character names.

All in all, I tend to like 6 the best.
But I love all of them for the most part. Even Gun Survivor 2.

As others have said, it's just annoying losing your item so easily.
Though tbh the OP makes you sound really mad about it too.

Jason is my boyfriend, so obviously. I love Chucky too but I'm not sure how he would work.
Pennywise would take away from Clown. Plus he probably wouldn't be Tim Curry. 😭

I've posted this elsewhere before, but Wesker and Sunderland are censored for me every time.
