I don't have much faith in the players' decency to assume them to be memers. And it's working out quite well.
If you assume everyone is a serial killer, you will certainly not be surprised when someone is.
but you will also have an unknown number of false positives.
-
110% killers are harder to balance.
-
for a flashbang? gotta look up.
no real way to counter it at pick up besides finding the people that are around and smacking them

you just don’t see him setting up the traps in the movies. imagines Jason drawing voodoo symbols on the ground
(I guess Nurse teleport or Spirits phasing would be more fitting and iirc also similar to what they did in his game)
I didn't mean he sets up traps. he just teleports. imagine the pinhead teleport to a box being opened.

I would give him his teleport (that totally isn't a teleport, "he just ran fast enough off screen guys"). but you just teleport behind a random survivor at a certain distance. no real control besides when to use it, maybe it has a range of effect and it isn't map wide so you can have some control.
everyone got it all wrong, Jason isn’t gonna be a legendary skin for Trapper but for Hag!
didn't mean it like that, but I see the vision!

SO what will he do? Just m1 without a power as he doesn't have anything. Just Trapper without the bear traps.
idk. but people from bhvr have confirmed that they always had ideas for Jason.

some sort of strenght based power. like, create a condition that if met he can instadown survivors. maybe he needs to chase for some time… eat a pallet? idk.
maybe have his mom be like a radar to find survivors, like if a survivor is near she tells you to kill them and killer instinct shows up for a bit on the closest survivor.
not against him having the ability to throw his weapon. which he then would need to collect from the ground or it would just return after some time.
-
2 things.
1- not a fair comparison at all. one happens DURING a game, and everyone else gets stuck playing that match until it ends.
the other is in the lobby. which the worst it would do is screw mmr a bit because another player joins quickly after.
similar in premise, but not in effect.
2- I've been on the side of removing the lobby altogether for awhile now… you queue up, and immediatly go into the loading screen when a match is found with 5 people. just show the survivors and their cosmetics in the loading screen if that really matters.
and you want me to have it while also removing hook suicides? sign me in.
also, to people saying it, there are reasons to leave a lobby that isn't shopping. the usual for me is that I forgot to equip a new tome challenge… but I wouid agree that lobby shopping is bs.

I'm against removing option to view profiles because they at least provide an opportunity to dodge potential cheaters (because BHVR isn't really doing anything about them). Letting survivors preview the killer's profile is fair though.
this is quite unfair. they do a lot against cheaters. but it's an arms race.

Also, this implies that everyone who hook suicides does it multiple times, which isn't necessarily true.
And the "think about the 4 other players" argument falls flat when you don't care what the 1 person is going through, apparently your video game win is more important than everyone else's life.oh grow up… the leave button is in the menu.

May be Jason license is holded be someone and Tommy and Crystal lake from others?
You know weird licensed stuff.
that is likely.
and just gonna say… camp crystal lake is not interesting for dbd. just some cabins, woods, lake. it's not really remarkable beyond the name.
it's fine to get it, but it'll just feel like lampkin lane in the woods.
tommy would be sad to not get…
-
a lot of them. most licenses are perfectly fine to add. and it just comes down to preference.
some might have weird fandoms, but that is every fandom. things will calm down eventually. so just don't do these in a row.
and a few better never be touched. non negotiable.
-
I just use my flags and something related to the character.
do like the dolls of the characters… they are cute
-
SM is perfectly fine. get better at the game.

Giving up on hook is sadly a necessity, since right now, you can have situations where survivors will have lost no matter what, like when only 2 survivors are left, or 3 with 3 or 4 gens still around. In those cases it makes no sense to keep staying in the game.
I do agree that it's really annyoing when a survivor gives up for some stupid reason, which happens often enough, but again, suiciding on hook seems like a necessity to me.
One thing that could help to encourage survivors to stay in matches even if things are looking grim are better bloodpoints. Right now, killers get more bloodpoints on average than survivors.
it is not a necessity. in no way, shape or form

Then make it not confusing. It's a big spooky Gothic castle. It's one half of the term "Metroidvania". It's the name of the franchise. Leaving it out is incredibly underwhelming.
then it's not castlevania
-
that is indeed copium. because survivor is not near the top of the list of "words that describe lara croft". it is on the list, just not her main thing.
kinda like isaac clarke…
a character like ellie or rick fits better. or minecraft steve, I would laugh so hard…
-
tbf… a map for castlevania would be awful for dbd. too confusing.
-
really wanted to play dredge on it… sounds fun to jump out of a locker while someone is running from whoever
-
dont use them anyway… but don't see a reason to remove them either, besides yellow.

It was very relevant actually, it proved my point that perks have indeed been butchered in the past, you stating that my question was relevant proved that my statement was also true, indirectly.
And yes, they are depending on how severe the nerf has been.
no. The words don't change meaning because of a venn diagram.

The point is we can pretend states of the match are neutral when they aren't, but that's simply not true. A killer can win the match at any gen number, and without endgame perk gains no benefits from the triggering of Endgame, therefore there is no tangible benefit to the killer being in Endgame compared to earlier in the game. If I have 4 hooks at 4 gens, the game is in my favor. If I have 4 hooks at Endgame, I'm doing worse, not better. Endgame is a worse place to be than Gens, and I can't believe I have to explain this.
Now, obviously someone could say that the killer needs to be at more hooks to keep up, but that sounds like an exact reason to me that Endgame favors survivors. After all, isn't it weird that this state of the match does nothing for you as killer, your prey can now escape, and you're also potentially behind in Hook stages?
It's like saying killing a survivor doesn't favor killer, because technically the game "favors who's winning." It doesn't matter what the circumstances surrounding the triggering of Endgame are, because it as a mechanic only benefits survivors tangibly, and there's no reason a Killer would ever want to trigger it by itself instead of simply staying at however many gens left there are.
Look, I don't if this is simply a misunderstanding, but I'm not doing this anymore. We could argue over the state of this DBD term forever, but I'm not about to be told a mechanic has neutral effect on a match when it does functionally nothing for one side.
the endgame isn't neutral and that was never my point. Your thing still makes no sense.
being at endgame does not matter if you are winning. It's the same as winning before it. Is this wrong?
it adds a timer for survivors to escape or die. That is always a killer favoured trait of the endgame. Plus whatever they get from perks.
survivors on the other hand get…nothing. The endgame is just the last part of the game and grants nothing to the survivors besides marking the ''do gens'' questline as completed. Viva.
does nothing for the survivors, correct.

So tell me a time where a perk nerf on DBD hasn't butchered it completely? I'll wait.
irrelevant.
butchered and nerfed are still not interchangeable

lol I just noticed the edit.
The term butchered means "to spoil something completely by performing or dealing with it very badly", ie it has been nerfed.
The term dislike means " to feel distaste for or hostility towards" or for simple terms, to hate it.
There is no correlation between the two, stop trying to find one.
PTB is on PC so only the PC audience is being taken into consideration when getting feedback (one sided feedback, you do the math)
This one here is also a fact LMAO
equating ''butchered'' to ''nerfed'' is a new low…
words mean whatever now?

How often do you trigger Endgame via gens with one survivor left? Two? Would you rather be at 4 gens left or is this somehow a better situation for you? Personally, I think survivors are weaker when they haven't done the one thing that lets them win, but sure, Endgame favors no one. In fact, I'll let you in on a secret too. 10 Hook stages doesn't favor killer, because objectives only matter once they've been fully fully completed ig.
"Wow, the survivor has such an advantage at this nonendgame, they can't leave the match! I sure am glad we aren't in Endgame, which is the state of the game I as a survivor am trying to trigger. Let's see how this plays out..."
Often enough. Usually because I was busy with survivor #3
why does the way it triggered matters suddenly?
survivors are weaker when they are losing? What a concept…
10 hook stages means 2 survivors are dead, and 2 are almost dead. Unless they are already leaving, the killer is favoured.
weird quotation. What even is the point?

The way the game works says it. Are you aware that survivors can leave during endgame? Is that a good thing for killer? The answer is no, ergo, Endgame is the worst part of the match a killer can be in.
gonna tell you a secret… the endgame favours whoever is winning.
it does not matter the gen count if the killer has the last survivor as good as dead, does it?
''wow the survivor has such an advantage at this endgame, all the killer can do is look slightly left and right to check both gates! Let's see how this plays out…''

Said who?
The Entity.
As a survivor, would you rather be at 4 gens left in a match, or in Endgame? What do you think a killer will say when you ask them that same question? Endgame is the thing a killer shouldn't let happen, and it isn't a part of the match that generally benefits them aside from the resources they've presumably used up. A killer is meant to outpace the onset of the Endgame in terms of hooks, whereas survivors are supposed to get through Endgame before the killer can get those hooks. Ergo, it means survivors are in the homestretch, which is never good as a killer.
Therefore, when a match hits Endgame, it's largely not good for the killer, ie in survivors favor.
so no one said it. Ok

There needs to be a lot more than 20% playing killer, because many survivors leave the game when they die, and queue up for a new game, even though the current game is still happening.
we are talking about people playing. Not people giving up

detrimental to the game is an opinion. I personaly love the random one.
but the thing to keep in mind, is that no one is forcing anyone to do them. it's a personal choice to equip and how to go about these things.
You can put the chalenge of sacrificing everyone in the basement and go for it every single game. or just play normally and take the opportunity if the chance presents itself. or fully ignore it's existance.

Agreed, altho is more of a dbd player thing rather than a killer thing. People to this day do not know how easy it is to counter new sadako, and there is a ton of videos explaining how easy it is to destroy her, yet you see a lot of players die to her.
Also dredge, I still see people locking two lockers next to each other, and I am like HOW??? WHY???
It is more because its way easier to conclude the game is unbalance rather than admit you lost because you are not good enough.
tbf… there is A LOT of things to learn about the killers. and dredge is kind of rare.
so I can forgive people for not knowing about the locker thing.
