How you going take away pallets make killers faster I mean i use my lithe thru a window and 2 seconds later im downed

You have to hold down shift, otherwise he will catch up very quickly yeah

    Stupid...

  • Killers are not faster....This be some stupid...

This isn't really any proof. You start them in different spots plus there's the fact that tile spawns can make their paths different which messes up their times. You can't draw any conclusive result when they're run in completely different test environments. Like in your test video Trapper never had to walk around a rock in the corner and back up like you did with the Clown in his test.

Need to have it in a place where there's no obstacle difference like a Haddonfield hedge or the Bedham hallway. A place where the distance is easily measurable and human error nor map RNG can play a part.

RNG Map making from two diff rounds can indeed play a part as the maps are randomized in placements.

I love playing trapper but just watch a trapper facecamp the basement horribly and nail 2 ppl and almost get the 3rd. I did gens since i knew what was happening but tried saving the 3rd person only to have the camper come back into range at last second and insta down me as rescue finished.

His response afterwards is camping is how you win, i said not really. It's a crutch and as a trapper I get 4 sacs quite often. Sometimes i get less but i refuse to camp since you don't get any better at lower ranks by doing it.

I can understand it at really high tiers 1-5 or against SWF groups but good grief talk about blinders and needing a crutch.

No more of a crutch than the survivor perk metas really.

  • This belongs in the Bug reports tab.

I've seen many videos and happened to me MANY times...the hitbox of the killers...
When survivors vault a window and they are at the other side, the killer magically hit the survivor
Are the Devs gonna fix it some day?..

Killers do have arm reach, you know?

  • @IMA_MAWNSTER said:
    WELL...
what about having a blindness effect or even a slow effect.
if once they hook someone after being in the radius of the survivor for 20 seconds they would get a 10% blindness or slowness and the longer he stays the more it would increase, up to like 30% or something.

unless ofcourse the killer was in a chase or the gens are all complete.

or even making it a perk! it wouldn't break the game for killers or survivors cause you could choose to have it and lose a perk slot for it.

see video post above, No reason to punish what's been working 199% as intended from day 1 as well as the fact the devs swore completely to never punish killers for camping.

  • @Shadoureon said:
I main survivor and I simply think the perk is too strong. But at the same time I do think killers need this perk at the moment. Its just simply that the perk isnt beeing used for what the devs had in mind I think. They wanted killers to see survivors and go to them to avoid quickly completion of generators but instead killers use it to see how many are far away and if they can use it as an excuse to camp.

I started to level Leatherface yesterday so I only played 3 matched with BBQ and Chilli and today I got called a camper because I only saw 1 aura after hooking the first survivor so I stayed close knowing there were 2 survivors nearby. I think I was justified to stay but at the same time I understand its annoying for the person on the hook.

I dont think the perk needs changing but id rather see Were Gonna Live Forever get the same type of treatment but reversed. That the person who unhooks and the person who got unhooked sees the killer aura within 16/24/32m for 4 seconds.

I think both perks will be roughly the same providing aura reading and bonus experience and gives the the unhooked survivor more chance to get away while giving the killer more intetentive to actually go for those who he could read.

First of all, Killers use this park plenty as intended, IT is only an incentive to choose not to camp, the devs themself have made ti very clear that killers will always have the choice to camp or not. Part of the reason why the aura does'nt show survivors that are close too the hook already is too warn them of the hook farming waiting nearby.

This idea for WGLF would be fine however, WGLF is gained in two ways, for protecting someone as well and taking a hit so how would that aura read fucntion work in the case of that?

Killers expect you to hide and gain distance from them, not run around in circles and exploit a poorly implemented game mechanic. It's not an alien concept since this is a hide and seek game.

While I agree with your main point, I do feel the need to point out:
You can't simply hide the entire game, you have to work on gens and help your team which puts you at risk, rightfully so. You can try to be smart about it and duck around a corner if you think they are coming your way, but most killers know to check the area and there's a lot of stealth killers/builds and detection perks at their disposal, as well.
Once you've been found, you can't hide and, unless you have a SB perk, you can't gain distance. So you have no choice but to use the environment to try to delay capture/get away. If you don't---if you simply run in a straight line, and avoid using pallets---even with SB, you will go down so fast which greatly hinders your team and reduces your chances of survival.
Hiding while in a chase, even with Urban Evasion, Lightweight, Iron Will and/or Quick & Quiet (which aren't commonly used perks), is still difficult and a percentage of the success is luck based.
Gaining distance and trying to make them lose sight of you is all well and good except you have to run in order to do that which leaves a huge "follow me" trail behind you so it's also partially luck based.
Pallet (and window) looping is the only thing you can do sometimes, and a good killer (or certain ones like Nurse, Huntress, Doctor, Trapper, Clown/anyone with a 1-shot) will counter you anyway. It's just a matter of when unless you're a really good survivor.

I understand the frustration of pallet looping as I also play killer and it can get really annoying but they've already given killers BL and you have a stun reduction perk as well as one which lets you break pallets faster. They nerfed pallets, and are about to nerf them again. So, I don't think it's worth bringing up over and over.
There are far bigger problems like the massive imbalance between SWF and solo players (in which case the solo player continuously gets screwed, right along with the killer), and the imbalance of perks such as SC, DS, and SB, and also camping.
Personally, I think there should be 2 lobbies, with 2 different set of rules: casual and ranked. I also think SWF should be a separate queue which is balanced differently to avoid further screwing over the solo players and it should have limitations. Of course, they'd have to give heavy incentives to the killers who willingly queue against SWF, but those are just some ideas I have.

correct me if I'm worng but when the hell was playing stealthy and doing gens not possible at the same time?

Also, I mentioned doctor because as someone said, they want survivors to be stealthy and you can't really be stealthy against doc. I've had multiple games held hostage against doc as well with his annoying build (overcharge, distressing, unnerving presence, etc).

If you see a doctor use that build (Which I do) then it's time to find ways to put distance between yourself and the Killer and repair generators as fast as possible. If you're pallet looping, you're eventually going to bore the Killer to the point where they actually do get the common sense to change plans and kill the repairmen.

Certain maps do not let you do this strategy such as haddonfield, the game, and the preschool. And boring the killer where they have to leave you doesn't really work on console. I've seen plenty of gameplay on PC where killers basically let survivors leave, but on console (PS4 for me) killers just chase you until you go down.

All maps can be stealthed entirely with every killer, your just too busy making meme post excuses to not try them.

So i've dealt with alot of camping in this game, and I think that's the main problem, noone wants to help out when players are getting camped by a killer.

So I think a new in-game mechanic should be added called "Dead Eye" thats when Killers are camping and staring at the player being camped, which will give the player (who's on a hook and being camped) giving them like 600 points for it, but should also give minus points to the killer that's camping more than 30-60 feet away.

PLEASE add this to the game, its the only way to deal with campers otherwise this game might aswell die out in the next year, which its probably going to do since alot of people don't want to deal with ######### gameplay.

P.S I know there's going to be alot of over-emotional people over this small suggestion which would benefit for the survivors, if you feel like you are getting triggered, call this hotline 1-800-273-8255 and they will help you calm down.

For this OP who wants to have killers punished for camping cuz obviously camping is not designed into the game...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS3DvvOQI04

Working as intended from day 1 still today thanks to survivors.

I love the game and I play both sides and it makes me sad when some killers have to camp to try and do well and I don't mean when the gens are all done because as killers we can't do much else at that point but while there is even 1 gen still to do Killers should be hunting for Survivors that's what I do and it works well both I and the Survivors both have a good match.

I have an idea for a killer to get a de-buff while they stand within a 32 metre range of a survivor on the Hook to force killers to move away from the hook and play with at least some degree of skill.

After Hooking a Survivor a Killer gains a De-buff giving him 15 seconds to leave the 32 metre range or they start to lose point's in the Devout Emblem where if the Killer stayed there for the full 2mins it would cost the killer more points than he would get even if he killed another survivor and didn't camp at all.

Exception 1 - If the killer is in a chase the de-buff won't be applied it is then the Survivor in questions fault and they need to leave the area or they kill their team mate and idiot's do this on a regular basis already.

Exception 2 - The killer won't have the de-buff applied if all the Generators are done because this is the only time camping actually makes sense since the Killer can't do anything else.

Camping won't get punished anyway as the devs themselves swore against ever doing so since survivors abused a ptb camping punishment as shown in teh videos posted above mine, Get over it and enjoy the game.
    Stop it, get some help.

  • This is also proof camping was intended from the start and is working 100% as intended from day 1 , Video is good for the moron OP who's trying to claim Camping is not good nor intended for the game.

Why do the devs insist on hiding these absolutely insane changes, that absolutely destroy killers?
Please for the love of god stop doing this crap.

Have you seen the list for the pleas of the killers....

    -Nerf Self Care!
    -Remove 4 Player SWF!
    -Nerf Sprint Burst!
    -Nerf Pallets (Valid)
-Remove 360s! (Such an easy counter)
-Remove flashlights! (is mad cause of saves, tho gotta agree that the wall was a good counter....should've of kept it. also the purpose of lightborn exist)
-Remove DS! (Valid it needed tampering)
-Close the hatch (Needed but OP at multiple use. Causes serious dysfunctional gameplay)
-Remove bodyblocking! (People do realize there's a perk that literally gives you a STACK OF BLOODPOINTS for bodyblocking...)
    -BUFF OUR PERKS!!!!!!!

That's 10 consistent requests coming from Killers. Survivors are strong, but you guys are getting a bit greedy because you feel we aren't "entitled" to escape. Not like you're entitled to a kill, either.
Killers need buffs, but it can't be to such an extent where being a survivor won't feel like we have any slight, small advantage in some way which could help us escape.

But I agree, the wall-block was a fair counter to the consistent flashlight saves. Idk why they would remove that, use lightborn either way I guess.

inb4 waste of a perk, it clearly wouldn't be if it's preventing saves. The whole idea is the killers aren't adapted to the light, causing a blind/stun. The perk even explains itself that you've adapted to the light from the fog...

    Repeat with me...Asymmetrical game...

  • Correct me if i'm wrong but...when did no Mither need a buff exactly?

It's harder on PS4 only when it comes to playing killer and only certain killers (Huntress mostly) If you watch Marth88 when he does his survivor games he plays on controller. You can do 360's and they are not too difficult. Anyways 360's don't even really work on good killers anyhow so it shouldn't be a big issue. I suggest you change your controller sensitivity to 100 for survivor.

People are playing Fortnite on PS4 vs PC which would be a heck of a lot harder but you can get your skill level up high enough on a controller that I think the best PS4 killers would still be deadly even with a controller.

Marth 88 is a killer main , he's not a badass survivor in terms of something like 360 .
And fortnite is completely a game of strategy and building , not a game of aim or jukes so it's completely 2 different things .
You can see the way you can turn the mouse in PC you can get a 360 view as the killer in almost 1 second however in ps4 it takes like 2 second or more to get a 360 view so there is a lot of difference even with killers like wraith or hag .

BBQ got it's bloodpoint buff after WGLF got introduced and the survivor queue times for survivor skyrocketed, because so many player switched from killer to survivor to farm bloodpoints.
It basically became a SURVIVOR ISSUE, to fix the queue times by giving the killer a similar perk and nerfing WGLF.
The Devs just decided to pick BBQ for that, because it already had a weak bloodpoint buff that wasn't that good to begin with and so they buffed it up with a further incentetiv to NOT "tunnel".
So BBQ solves 3 SURVIVOR issues: better queue times, less camping, less tunneling.

camping is a subjective term. its in relation to other survivors.... if they're close, you're 'guarding the hook'. if they're far away, you're 'wasting your time'.... 'camping' is just a dirty label made for survivors to shame killers into doing what they want....

Yes. And "toxic" is a misused label killers use for survivors who use the tactics made available by the devs to out play the killers. There are legitimate reasons to camp as killer for sure. But camping your first hook with no one else near you is not only a waste of time, but rightfully labelled as camping. The glorious moment when the pig downs the first survivor, tea bags, then camps, should in no way be frowned upon lol.

    you're absolutely right....

What is this "rightfully labelled as camping" nonsense? Anytime a killer hangs around anything, whether it be a particular gen or exit or hooked survivor, that killer is camping. The only question is whether people should feel entitled to complain about camping as if the killer did something wrong. In my opinion the answer is NEVER. A survivor should never complain about camping as if the killer did something wrong. The killer isn't there to be an artificial intelligence for the survivor and make sure everyone has a good time.

This is a competition. The killer is not the friend of the survivor. The killer doesn't need any opinion by the survivor on how he should camp "correctly" or not at all.

If you flip the situation the absurdity of this is clear. Would a killer lecture a survivor that he looped too much, or at the wrong time? Do killers make up goofy words for the "sins" of survivors, like calling anyone who uses a flashlight a "flasher" and then whining like babies every time someone uses a flashlight? You know, as if using a flashlight is a sin and the survivor should feel guilty. Do killers justify disconnecting because of an A-hole "flasher" or some other such nonsense? In other words, the survivor didn't play the way the killer wanted the survivor to play, therefore WAAA!

Worst thing about this game is the entitlement survivors have about camping/tunneling. Survivors need to get it through their thick skulls that camping/tunneling are not "wrong-play sins." They need to get it through their thick skulls that killers can camp/tunnel whenever and however they want. If by some miracle the survivors accepted camping/tunneling as legitimate tactics for killers the toxicity in the DBD community would go down by at least 80%.

See but the funny thing is some killer players actually do all those things you listed minus the calling them a flasher part so I don’t understand why you seem to think the survivors are the only entitled ones.

    4 entitled survivors for each 1 entitled killer..simple math : P

Survivors are not the only, but they are by far the most.
