  • Damn, was gonna go for a stealthy legion. Thanks guys.

  • Any addon on legion that increases his frenzy duration, since basekit survivors can still outrun it.

We absolutely do multiple device testing. But there's a big difference between a team of people testing internally and hundreds of thousands playing on the released version.

Please have patience with us as we get a solution for this problem. We are fully aware of the frustration it has caused, and want this fixed as much as you do. :)

It's always frustrating for game devs when people dont realize this. 5 people pressing 100000 buttons to find any that are broken will eventually do it (and/or even forget some) but 10000 people pushing 100000 buttons will do it a lot quicker

Noed isn't a slow down perk though.

It's the "At least i got one kill" type of perk. It's a trash perk. You get waay more value out of other perks.

P.S:I agree Demo is a pretty good Slowdown perk

NOED is actually surprisingly good in the right hands. It's gotten its rep as "trash killer" perk because its mostly used by bad players (whether just new or simply just suck) to get the kill they cant otherwise. However, on someone who's actually planning around it, NOED becomes very, very deadly. Demo + NOED + Infectious + Distressing + STBFL = Wiping survivors in 15 seconds in the endgame.

  • 1st one is a skill issue, i easily can find survivors immedietly .

2nd one i noticed like 3 years ago, hasnt changed in a long time.

and he can Mori after it too so it's about the same level as Myers. In fact Myers needs add-ons to do it, so I'd go as far to say PH is even more strong in this "anti-entity" regard

Tbf, myers is also known to hang people on walls, no joke. He doesnt care hes sacrificing them, it just comes normally.

  • You shouldnt get banned, but iirc it causes insane desync

  • Whichever killer im facing.

Seriously tho, id say maybe ghostface, not much skill there tho hes fun to play as and against

  • Camping's hard to address. How do you tell whats actual camping and whats a killer looking for a survivor they know is nearby? Or someone running them around hook? Or- you get the idea.

Tunnelling is also weird for a different reason. Sometimes it's needed; its the quickest way to bring control to a situation (assuming the killer is chasing someone who isn't a loop god) as well as cause a snowball. Its needs to be fixed, but at the same time it's required

  • Does... does no one here realize you can crouch over them? And if the survivor is holding crouch as they're unhooked or working on a gen they don't trigger?

  • DS was balanced, and in fact follows more along the lines of what i kept suggesting a year ago than Otz's

Killer slugging still happens because sometimes a killer does not have time to pick you up. If they're waiting out your DS on you, then it's no different to before, so this point is moot no matter how you spin it and is 0 sum.

Many loops did need changing; as someone who plays both sides, it was easy to see what he was talking about.

BT got buffed overall, as a wave of perks and abilities that countered it are now rendered useless against it, and all it cost was 3 seconds. Many people would agree that a more dependable BT was worth 3 seconds.

Otz isn't the only person listened to, Streamers across the spectrum (and even me, a random, assuming my DS idea was what was taken) are listened to. What this post here is, is a demand that only you and who repeats what you say should be listened to.

In any case the game is still broken for both sides anyway.

DBD lore happens in a differnt universe, nothing saying that the RE survivors in DBD are also from a differnt universe to the proper RE time line.

Different universes, i think. I remember some lore bit in the game that said the entity took from multiple different universes, something about a drink from terra 256 or somethiong

  • Perhaps a buff (if needed) is to make it act like mending, or perhaps the longer you're infected the slower your action speed becomes.

That makes me think: would Iron Will + Off the Record counter Strider?

yes. No Mither and Iron will is enough to counter stridor (0% moan sound) but IW and OtR would def work (-50% moan sound)

@Sluzzy can you just give up already and play a few games of Killer before you continue posting here? Also please play above rank 15, thanks.

"This will create pressure on the killer to guard totems, gens, and hook survivors"

The Killer already has pressure to do ALL of these things to win against a half decent team.

to win? its barely a safety pip against a half decent team. Any SWF that isnt being stupid will dominate a killer.

I feel every safe pallet should be like Shack. A strong structure that can be mindgamed from both sides, but if the survivor wants he can instantly drop it and force the killer to break it. Corridor pallets like those in Preschool or The Game are just bad design imo.

in preschool the preschool is a death trap, those pallets, once gone, are almost certain death for a survivor

  • @GannTM said:

Just had a match as Blight where a Jane DCed on the first down. Can you people please stop with that? Play the damn game and don't ruin the other 3 survivors' experience.

I'll never get this. Survivors complain and complain about long queue times and how it takes forever to find a lobby... and then proceed to immediately DC because the killer downed them.

  • bamboozle: oh no, youre vaulting a window, let me just run over to this other loop real quick

Whispers: not a chase perk, its a tracking perk and only useful early and late game

Im all ears: actually pretty decent despite the cooldown, bit a lot of the plays are easy to guess anyway

yeah, too weak. a chase perk will save 5 seconds, a regression perk will save 20

Being able to activate Coup de Grace manually should already have been a thing, so I agree with that change.

Nerfing Pop like that, after it's already had an arbitrary timer nerf? Nah. Pop is fine. The only time it's annoying is when the last 3 gens are close to each other, or if the survivors don't have separate gens going.

idk about nerf, more of sidework? Sure its less pops, but if you save your tokens you could certainly go to town on a generator crippling it, especially the last one.

I was never a big fan of the proposed Undying nerf because Undying was never the problem. Ruin is the actual problem.

The actual counterpart of DS on the killer side is Ruin. These are the two main perks used by both sides to gain large time advantages. They are also the two perks used the most by both sides. With DS scope being reduced in scope I believe it's time we also started looking at Ruin.

This already happened though? Instead of being massive instant regression and slowdown i have to kick you off it first. Not only that but it denies perks that require kicking gens. If you want to go on a "what about" loop and say they should be equals, DS shouldnt allow exhaustion perks to activate (as an example, I dont suggest it should.

  • Freddy: Stay out of dreamworld when you can, but dont go out of your way to do it. In a chase, abandon the loop at the earliest safe time. If you happen upon the clock or an awake survivor, wake up.

Oni: Dont get injured if possible (dumb thing to say, i know), if he's enraged dont be caught in the open, try and stay in a cramped area with a lot of sharp corners like the gyms

Bubba: If a bubba is revving up his chainsaw go for the nearest safe area; and dont drop to stun unless you're confident you can time it just right, as too early results in just a broken pallet, too late results in your down.

    Clown: No idea actually.

Pig: Ignore the trap on your head till it's active; a pig will still happily attack you if it's not active, but are more inclined to ignore you if it's active. If a pig keeps roaring right next to you do the point emote at them (aka boop the snoot), 9/10 they're just memeing and will leave you alone for a while )or help, depending on circumstances) after doing it.

The glorified participation trophy, hatch, is still in the game. It has the same problem as DS. The survivor gets a 2nd chance from just existing. Do no gens, tbag all game, your chases last single digits of time: none of it matters. You happened to be last, so you get out. And in the race to the hatch, the killer is not favored. The survivor can press a button in its general vicinity and get vacuumed in, and the killer just has to watch. The killer has to orient himself in a specific spot to close the hatch, so even when the survivor and killer reach the hatch at the same time, the survivor gets priority. The only time killer gets priority closing it is when he and the survivor are already right on it as it's about to open. Maybe we should bring back hatch grabbing.

If what we're trying to do with these nerfs is make the game more skill based, well I think hatch should be next. Replace it with a better endgame mechanic. So many people have had great ideas about a replacement.

Hatch is a stupid mechanic, but a needed one. Sometimes your team are idiots and you're the only one who actually survived, making the hatch your only chance at getting out alive.

People tend to make light of this type of scenario but it absolutely fits the criteria of taking a game hostage and not participating in normal gameplay that progresses the match forward. Not everyone likes whispers or shouldn’t feel the need to run it on the off chance they’ll face players that hide purely out of spite. Some survivors are very good at stealthing without getting crows for prolonged periods of time 40 minutes to even over an hour. Remember that all different ranks and skill levels play this game..

two survivors refusing to move the game forward by working on gens for 40+ minutes are well aware the killer is having difficulty and typically their goal is to force the killer to disconnect. A killer can corner a survivor for 20 minutes straight effectively taking them hostage and even force a disconnect.. sure sounds bannable doesn’t it... how is hiding and refusing to progress the game for 40+ minutes any different?

Because the killer can still find them, it just might actually take effort, and im saying this as a killer player. I dont consider thus a hostage game, i consider it griefing though if they go out of their way to make sure the game doesnt progress on their end

  • Calm Spirit is actually really good, many killers use crows to track so denying that can confuse some of them

So you're telling me big boy Nemesis or Mr X getting hit by a pallet thrown down by a 120 pound soaking wet lady makes sense but a giant like Oni or really any killer not fully human getting stunned does?

It also makes sense that David, a man who gets into regular bar fights for funsy is somehow unable to overpower Amanda, a 5'3" killer (or at least that's how tall her actress is) who just lifts him up over her shoulders while he kicks and screams like he's a rowdy toddler?

Spoiler Alert; a lot of things in this game don't work if you decide to apply "real world" logic to it.

Thats explained by the entity buffing their strength.

Oni is crazy and think his tactics are perfect, so for a pallet to drop on him is surprising as he thought he would win the chase earlier

  • @indieeden7 said:

I get that this is a scummy play but you really can't expect them to remove it.

What if someone DCs at the start of the match? Then 3 people have to fix 5 gens and the hatch won't even open for the last survivor.

What if a person's game legitimately crashes? Then the last survivor gets punished for something that couldn't be helped.

Just add a timeout like a sacrifice has at least, where theyre "dead" but theres still time before hatch opens

  • @Cheers said:

You lost me at "So when the game puts people with killers who clearly can’t play the game properly or fairly."

This is playing the game properly, and how is it not fair? They're trying to kill you efficiently. If you're so worried about tunneling then use decisive strike. There is a perk there for it. And if they slug use Unbreakable and/or tenacity.

This. The issue is killers almost always have to play as effeciently as possible just to have a chance

  • The issue is its behavioural and tactiful. You can nerf them all you want, people will still do it because like 80% of the time its still the best option.l, or because theyre #########

  • @Phasmamain said:

Do you really feel any better destroying random survivors who weren’t toxic to you as spirit because some random other survivors were toxic.

    Doesn’t seem right to me

Not that im agreeing with OP's actions, but the issue is that if they just go "Oh, its one game, it wont happen again" itll just keep ending in him getting steamrolled over and over, so he has to assume the next survivors will be toxic.

If there was a way for killers to tell who was toxic, who's nice etc like an ingame rating system, then you might actually see less and less killers do this (unless you are one of the ones to deserve it). Until then, the survivor community as a whole need to stop it, otherwise its just a downward spiral.

  • Nope, the new one is actually balanced (on paper), it acts as a warning now. You don't get free info and then just deny the killer it by looking away, now the killer has to trigger it (and so many killers use aura tracking) turning those perks into a 2 way street.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

we gave you a MOUNTAIN of feedback on the new UI alone and all you decided to do to address it was add color blind options. We told you it looks awful and has bad placement, we asked you to at LEAST rearrange the icons to be compact but it won't have ANY CHANGES?

why do you ignore us? this isn't a matter of resistance to change the new UI is actually worse than the old one plenty of people have pointed that out and explained why when you disregard the new features like portraits and hook counters. You could have EASILY added the new features to the old UI with minimal changes in fact you said you didn't have enough room to add things you want BUT THE OLD ONE LEGIT HAS MORE ROOM FOR ICONS.

We made polls we had multiple threads made with 50 responses for each nearly all of them were negative even for the "positive" responses they were mainly about the new features and they often still complained about the new UI in some way. As for how negative based on the polls over 90% of players didn't like the new UI and considering only 2 or 3 responses were positive about it that seems to be correct.

why. did. you. ignore us? you said you take feedback you had mods merge posts and you basically took the easy way out and said "screw how the players feel". what is the point of the feedback section if you wont even take our opinion on something not even related to the balance of this game?

I'm beyond disappointed with this decision. i don't even care if i get a ban or something for this account im not the only person who feels this way and i will surely not be the last who has such a negative response to this decision. legit the only good thing is the hook counter and the ugly portraits in the UI that's it and we were fine with those things besides a lot of players wanting different portraits since they honestly look like they are from a mobile game as they don't fit the theme of dbd.

if the new UI does not get changed in the next chapter update that is a sure sign the devs don't care to listen to us, i can only hope this was done simply so the new hook feature helps new players because let's be honest we can count hooks guys.

Something something beta licensing or something.

Basically, they cant put it in on the PTB because that's already uploaded and made sure its in a playable state. Most likely (assuming they do) they'll push any changes when it goes live.

Survivor mains got undying and mori nerfed. The Devs are trying to balance for both sides and fixing perks that are outright frustrating. I don't see what changes for survivors though. Apparently object is rare and DS is anti-tunnel and now object is much more stronger so what's the issue?

Object was debilitating for some killers. Trapper, hag, demo, to name a few. The new one means they can set up in peace.

Its also a sneaky mettle of man buff but ill let you figure that one out

  • Actually, probably. I know a community of dbd players where the killers are actually thinking of returning because these more glaring balancing issues are actually gonna be fixed

  • @Blueberry said:

Well seeing as it doesn't deactivate on hooking a different survivor and the timer is still the same it still leaves you in a lose/lose in that scenario so it definitely isn't "cool".

The DS by itself is fine now though.

I disagree. If i down you with ds, ive gained time because, since you still have ds, you havent really progressed the game. If you unbreakable, then thats cause i actually tunnelled and slugged you, not because you sat on a gen and i hit you. Its a win win now. Survivor loses time reviving and they havent done any progression

  • Oni is billy but he needs to refuel his chainsaw and the entity makes him hunt for it. Dont see how hes any worse than the one killer most players see as balanced on both sides

Rather than changing the key itself, how about the Devs apply a Franklin's Demise effect to keys. If a survivor drops the key, the key will disappear after 60 seconds. So if someone dies on hook and it falls to the floor, their teammates have 60 seconds to get it. Same if the survivor places it on the floor or switches it out with an item out of a chest.

I don't think the Devs will remove the ability to allow more than one person to escape by hatch, instead, they will probably just add a new animation and progress bar. Who knows, they my surprise us, but if not, they should implement the above idea along with their changes.

Also, broken keys should have their model changed to a crystal ball so people won't get tunneled from the on start of the match.

As much as i hate keys, i dont think having a franklins effect will help. There have been many times where ill hide a key in a bush so i dont get tunnelled
