yea i agree i had so much fun with him, the feeling of pushing survivors from loops or god pallets is really nice he does have some problems in small maps but hey no killer is perfect

Killers are doing fine atm. Solo survivor is not. You can run anything you want and you only have to rely on yourself. The game doesn't limit you like solo survivor. Making the gameplay about teamplay and solo survivor not having any means of communications and 4man SWF is probably 10% or less of the playerbase.
Even now you still refuse to comment on solo survivor because you know they don't have a saving grace and making an argument about "what about killers?" showing that you have no real argument to make for the current state.
You don't have to pretend to care or play the victim, just say what you really think that addressing solo survivor issues will make the game harder for you to win and you are ok with the state of it atm.
im not playing victim and i know how hard is SoloQ but im sorry are we really gonna nerf a killer or a perk because soloQ said so, or are we forgetting that SWF exists ?
but you gonna punish survivors for having friends?
look its either 2 things, either buff soloQ without making SWF extremely broken, or balance the game on both sides, nerfing a killer perk because its too broken for one side is not fair.
and you think low tier killers are doing fine?
you know its impossible to 4k as sadako or any killer that doesn't have a fancy power right? unless you tunnel that is

Let me tell you again what it has been told before.
If i start a discussion or make a comment about eruption being overtuned and unfair, that does not mean that other things are not broken.
I usually dont talk of perks like Dead Hard or Circle of Healing because i hardly use them and i dont have much information except for the description of the perks. So i cant give an opinion of them.
But Eruption, my god. I have been playing against eruption users for weeks.
it was underrated but now that everyone is complaining about it, its being used so much, there are many underrated perks for both sides that only come up when a popular perk dies
-

SWF that plays efficiently and wants to tryhard and win completely breaks the game. A really good Nurse or Blight is the only thing that stands a chance but when you talk about balancing SWF people just throw up their hands and go "you can't punish people for playing with their friends!!!" 🤷♀️ but you can certainly punish the poor sap who decided to play Myers or pallet Freddy for fun and gets matched with them.
Also Windows is lowkey OP. It basically prevents a survivor from ever running into a deadzone and turns even bad survivors into serviceable loopers. I'm terrible at survivor and give me Windows and I can run a killer for 5 gens on maps like Eyrie, The Game and the new one
glad someone actually realizes that people want to play low tier killers, and glad im not the only one who sees that effectiveness of windows of opportunity

The difference is, BBQ is only used for its Aura Read nowadays. You wont see BBQ on a Hag for example. But you will see it on Billy or probably Blight. The usage dropped a lot when the Bonus-BPs were removed, same would happen to Prove Thyself.
And honestly, DH is not really a problem anymore.
DH in most cases is not a problem, but let's be honest what kinda of gameplay is to wait for the other side to use their immortality
and tbh i still see BBQ in a lot of my lobbies when i play survivor
-
@Rovend said:

Not every survivor goes always full meta gen rush perks. If you would take my word, i hardly see any survivor use Hyperfocus, stake out, Deja Vu, commodius + BNP. But what i always see is eruption, brine, Overcharge in 90% of my games.
my lobbies are always filled with dead hard, prove thyself, circle of healing, windows of opportunity, and adrenaline
all of those perks you mentioned, i never see tbh
and tbh can you blame those killers for bring them?
you don't know what you can expect, and same for survivor, in general both sides are bring the best perks and making the game boring for people who are trying to have fun
but asking to nerf something in one side without touching the other side is not ok.
sure nerf eruption and nurse, but also nerf the most overused perks for survivors, to make it equal

I didn't say "Survivors". I said "this community". I meant both roles equally. Both are not very good at this game, and don't understand how to tackle new challenges that new Killers and new/reworked perks create.
Another reason is how there are plenty of "As a Survivor/Killer player..." people who will advocate for popular but bad opinions and try to use their "main" status to give their bad opinion more weight, which is why I use "community", not "Survivor/Killer main".
ur neutral, i respect that, but honestly being neutral in this community will do nothing, i play both sides too, won't say the same amount but i know the pain of being camped or tunneled, but also know if i bring the most overused perks on survivor or killer i will win, but you know asking to win without playing only with meta perks or killers is hard apparently.

I love how multiple people answered your question about Prove Thyself's use for BPs (I also use it for this reason) and you've chosen to completely ignore all of them and just argue with everyone else.
yes BBQ was used for BPs as well, and yet everyone still uses it, which maybe something tells me even if they remove BP PT, it will still be used
just at DH

BPs.
If you really thinkg Prove Thyself is used because of the removal of the Penalty when two people are working on a Gen, you really lack game knowledge.
If the Devs would remove the Bonus-BPs from PTS you would see a huge drop in numbers.
so we could say the same about BBQ, yet people are still using it.
and wasn't dead hard nerfed so much and yet the numbers are still so high?

The majority of people who go "Nurse has no counterplay", yourself apparently included, fail to use LoS blockers. She does have some level of counterplay, and the majority of Nurses can be countered.
no you're wrong man, she doesn't have any counter play, can't use lockers can't try to outplay her, look the majority of players right now are either gen rushing or want to hold W and not go down, that's why everyone complains about her
but when killers complain about something that is obviously broken, well you get this comment section, just people making fun of you, funny how that works

Or that killers in competitive are playing against the sweatiest possible 4 stacks who practice together on a regular basis, and they still often 4k even with restrictions on their killer builds. You can never convince many killers that they have a skill issue.
yes, skill issue, you know you play pig and you tunneling everyone out and get 4k
then next game you don't tell and get nothing, skill issue.
its not a skill issue its the fact that no one wants to admit that the current meta is boring
-
@Rovend said:
The complaints about nurse and eruption comes from two things: A very strong power with the lack of counterplay. These two combined makes it very frustrating to play against them.
You must have heard this a hundred times but Nurse's power literaly breaks the game. It denies Pallets, windows and floor difference so you cannot loop her, but if you try to run from her, her range/ recharge addons makes it so you will get down anyway, so you are stuck with guessing.
Eruption has no counter in soloQ.
Now with survivors perk
Adrenaline in an endgame perk, so it is obvious that the best way to deal with this is try to kill all survivors before it. I dont know why people really overstimate this perk, most of the games i lose are done before EGC so i can hardly get any use of it.
Prove Thyself is countered by all the gen regressing perks in this meta, that does the reverse of its effect. Gift of pain applies to one surv the reggresion PT effect of 3 survs working on a gen. Then you have Pentimento, Brine, Overcharge who can all destroy the progress of a gen. Use discordance.
Woo is an info perk, really. To see the pallet or window does not make you faster or better looper so you dont really need a counter to this.
Reassurance needs to be activated in a 6m range, so killers with an instadown (which are the ones who usually camp) can down them before they reach the hook.
For the people injures and inflicts broken on the one that applies it so go for him.
By boons i suppose you mean COH, run sloppy. Maybe it will not stop them from healing but they will lose a lot of time. If not, shattered hope.
Streetwise counter's is obviously Franklins. always.
Boil Over is situational, and tied to the map is played in. It's more of a map issue than the perk itself, so i would bring a sacrificial ward if i was too afraid of it.
so basically just play the same build over and over and be bored just to counter the same build...im starting to understand why everyone is play nurse only

The killers of this forum don't care about solo survivor, they only care about MMR and how broken things survivors bring are but forget that in competitive killers also cannot bring certain perks, but apparently those are ok for them.
I'm sure some of them will even complain when and if solo survivor gets the most rudimentary ways of communicating through icons or pings and claim that killers will leave and the game is a horror game and it more faithful if survivors have no ways of communication😂
and survivors CARE about killers?
-

I think he could be pretty good, and I haven't tried messing around with perks like dissolution on him yet but something tells me it could be super strong. In theory he can pull an even better Nemesis at dropped pallets, having a guard go break them while you continue to zone the survivor, etc etc.
The fact the guards phase through pallets and still damage seems pretty good...I had bamboozle on him and don't think I even kicked any pallets the first game I played with him since survivors had to leave every loop.
Not to mention if you know the maps pretty well, im sure cutting off people with guards will be a thing. Makes me think "call to arms" might be one of his best addons so you can plop the guard down extra fast during chases.
Indoor maps like Midwich I bet he will be a huge problem to deal with; since he drop the guard at one end of a loop / room and then just run the other direction for a free hit
But people who don't have the map knowledge will probably say he is bad, I can see that
yea he has a lot of problems in indoor maps, also favorite part is the fact that the guards force the survivors to hold w

their flashlight aim is surprisingly accurate, as long as they hold it that is

so basically any killer above D and C tier is a dc

How is ~34 seconds of gen stall out of a single perk that procs on multiple gens *not* carrying a killer? Chases don't happen in a vacuum. And the problem with Eruption is that survivors can run exactly to where they should run in a situation and it just doesn't matter. Unless the killer is flat out horrible relative to the opponent or the survivors have comms, Eruption erases the killer's mistakes. Perks like that shouldn't exist on either side.
cough dead hard, adrenaline, styptic agent, AHS, off the record and i probably missed more
but killer has one, NOPE MUST NERF
-
your opinion has been recorded and will be ignored thank you for submitting it
also nice name xd
-
its a pain to deal with and the house can feel infinite and don't even get me started on how spread the gens are

If this is a high MMR SWF and we are taking your picture as evidence of what a normal game is like, the game is highly killer sided.
You got a kill with Sadako, generally regarded as one of the weaker killers. If a high MMR SWF, against a weak killer, still loses a survivor, and that's the norm, then yeah, huge problems on the killer balance. It's absurd to say this is an example of you getting "destroyed"
-
As for the main topic: as others have covered, eruption is a problem because against comms it is a minor inconvenience, and against SoloQ its devastating. Even if we aren't discussing balance, that is a poorly designed perk.
gets one kill with sadako thanks to noed against full on SWF sweaty team
*killed sided* and its no absurd to say i got destroyed since i felt helpless most of the time

Really? you've been around here long enough to know that's not true. I've seen countless posts complaining about boons, especially COH. Sure, it died down a little after the nerf but they still pop up now and then.
the main problem with boons is the fact that they are endless and the killers cannot do anything about them, since they don't have time to find them
CoH shouldn't exists to begin with , free healing in a area that stacks with other healing items is not ok
and don't even get me started that you can have more than one as if they are hexes

Not even my main point. BHVR shouldn't nerf anything based on the disparity between solo n' swf. They should, however, buff solo q. Which is frankly astounding that it hasn't happened yet. I do understand that BHVR has other priorities, though.
you buff solo Q you buff SWF even more
that's the main problem of any buff to soloQ

but how will we stop survivors for crying that a killer has no counter play even if they are a D tier

well good for the 7 survivors who actually get flashlights saves xd

i had a lobby with me (someone who got infected by high mmr thanks to her friends)

I was playing her on any maps before using Nvidia filters, I didn't have the same dark (faded) view on that map ever.

The killer is a Nurse or Blight. They can easily traverse from 1 area of the map to another.
The map is Coal Tower, which has an area of 8,448m^2. Bond has a radius of 36m, so shows all Survivors within an area of 4081.5m^2 (pi * 36^2) at any one time, assuming that none of this range goes off of the map. That's over half of one of the smallest maps in DBD left unaccounted for. For perspective, Red Forest is 12,032m^2- almost 3 times the size of Bond, and that again requires you to be in the centre of the map and nowhere near the edge.
And even when you can see the Survivor, where is your 1 second warning of "They are about to go down"? You can see they're being chased, and sure you can take a lucky guess, but if not you are wasting precious time. Time which solo queue do not have.
There is no prior warning. Without aura reading on the Survivors and the Killers, there is no consistent reliable tell of when a Survivor is about to go down.
yea look any talk about any perk, just exclude nurse and blight and maybe wesker
those we don't talk about, those are the top killers that can make even whispers work somehow
with those 2 killers ANY perk is a problem mainly because they are so strong

Thats weird...
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get such dark view, if I will use Sadako on this map without any filters...
Then it must be something in your system, did you changed any parameters in your graphic card?
i don't think there is any that could change it but i did hear some players saying Nvidia filters are bugged but i don't even use those, not sure and i don't think i will be playing her again for a while

What aura reading perk consistently shows when a teammate is about to be put into the dying state?
doesn't bond show the aura of survivors from like 36 meters
there is also situational awareness, which yes can be a bit late but can also be situational if u are tapping the gens
and there is also the obvious hint that the survivors is about to go down, the more the game goes
-

Let go when? As a solo player, when do you let go of a gen to avoid Eruption? I have yet to see anyone give a reasonable counterplay for solo players. Explain how a solo player will know when to let go of a gen when a teammate is in chase across the map?
bring aura reading perks like you always bring windows of opportunity
