  • The ultimate pick myself up build- Flip-Flop, Unbreakable, Power struggle, The perk that gives you endurance, and Smash Hit :D

  • Ghost Face. I enjoy teabagging the teabagger after catching the person. Its really satisfying lol.

also make the change his saw doesn't insta down if revved from a short distance, but instead deep wound. then you could let em chainsaw faster.

If he catches you in the open, even without rev add-ons, you messed up. L/T wall him to death is the best way to face Billy because of his rev time.

Overheat is just something the dev added to discourage "new players" from playing billy. The survivors don't really like it when the killer can threaten them. I am guessing they changed billy because rank 20-5 complained about him, so to discourage rank 5-20 killers, they added overheat .Playing survivor vs billy is just free pips in my opinion. I bet survivors would love if every killer was about as good as current billy.

You should know this from doom engraving add-on, but lowering charge time also reduces overheat because your charging chainsaw for less time. the dev changed killers like Billy and Freddy negatively specifically so that they never get played because survivors "do not like them". funny thing is that survivors just end up getting another killer on their hit-list after last one gets changed so its never ending cycle. you need to get survivor mains to say yes to improving the killer although most survivor mains don't like challenge and do not like "guessing" and billy chainsaw in regards to curving revolves around making reads and that was problematic in the past... apparently.

haha good luck getting survivor mains to admit that billy needs improvement like that grimreaperjr guy. sorry in my first post. I think the numbers were 18% and 18% for total of 36% and thompson mix was like 12% or something like that. 36% is like 0.9 so it was like 1.6. Its better to look at wiki for that history stuff.

Hell, if they took the penalty from his engravings, he might stand a chance but the engravings were balanced around REV ADD-ONS. His add-ons just punish him for even using most. Hell, just add his Primer Bulb back and you'll see Billy's back in the wild. Something has to change.

Uh... have you heard of curving? That thing that makes Billy strong, allows using his chainsaw in loops, and is pretty much the entire point of using the thing?

2.5 rev plus add-ons that increase his rev even more. I know what it is, I use to do it. That's why I mentioned feathering but most of the new loops, you cannot do it against good players. 4 seconds of revving makes that almost impossible, stifling it with overheat. I've been playing Billy for years on console.

When I used rev add-ons, I used them to help stop multiple loops stringed together. Without them, I've been platy for about a good month but without rev, you just can't use his chainsaw on most maps with the way loops and windows are adjusted now. If I got a corn map, I was golden. If I got Yamaoka, again, I was fine. Most other maps, you might as well M1 the entire match.

    Billy has a default 2.5

He used to have charge add-ons.

Primer Bulb/Tuning guide reduced it to 2.1

BOTH of those together reduced it to 1.8

Notice that the 1 single complaint people had about Old Billy was Double Charge add ons a.k.a Insta-saw.

Yes, Old Tinkerer was an even stronger variant. That does not mean that 1.8 rev time on Billy's chainsaw is even remotely balanced or fair.

Alright. Let's NEVER play Billy again since he can't do anything outside of being in the open and let's keep making posts about bitching about overheat that doesn't really affect him in any way except for feathering too much in the open. Billy is fine then. Can't wait to play a thousand Spirits who literally break the game with no counters but Billy can actually try to feather around a loop to try and cut you off? Nah, that's unfun and unfair. Glad we got our priorities for killers in this game.

  • It was added to keep Victor in the match and to prevent survivors from leaving with Victor. If they try to leave with Victor on their back, they get stopped by the invisible hitbox. Problem is, it's there at all times. You can still use hatchets, guns, whips and such to down people inside but you can't m1 them.

Oh I completely agree, You rarely go against Billy now a days and what's ironic is that if you face a good billy, you can almost feel like the player whose playing Billy is struggling to challenge you as a survivor. Its like you hold all cards and he holds no cards. There's very little point in playing billy now but you could say that for a lot of killers in DBD. A short rev time is completely necessary for billy to have a chance at outplaying good survivors at loops.

As for Leatherface.... well he wasn't always this good. he just became good like any other killer would with few positive tweaks. I enjoy playing leatherface for the same reason i enjoyed playing old billy, he's one of the killers that rewards for understanding his kit and using his kit properly. Leatherfaces allows you to go for potentially 12 hooks against 99% of teams kinda how old billy allowed you to go for 12 hook-chase gameplay. If only the other killers... rewarded you for using their power properly instead of constantly punishing you with random drawbacks and extra steps...

Holding a button down for almost 3 seconds to attack in a semi-straight line plus have a overheat mechanic so if you rev 5 times, you have to wait almost 10 seconds to even use the chainsaw again, seems a bit balanced for a slightly faster rev time. I just don't see why Bubba can do all of this with easy movement and multiple downs but Billy gets his only good add-ons removed and no one plays him anymore but everyone will say no one plays him anymore so we need to remove the overheat. It's NOT the overheat that ######### him. It's his rev time. I play Billy. You cannot cut off loops anymore. It just takes too damn long.

That's og insta saw with og Tinkerer. But after the perk rework, instaw saw conventionally meant tuning guide + mix or sometimes primer bulb. And it could easily be used at loops. You couldn't escape that rev time. It was just that most insta sawers just back revved after sawing the pallet and then sprinting while zoning. It was a foolproof strategy due to better charge AND cooldown times. Unless survivors got a really stacked map and slammed gens like crazies.

That is true but the maps have been reworked and now he has a CD so he can't just feather infinitely anymore.

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

    No... just no.

Bubba's rev time of just 2 seconds is already pretty damn scary, I do NOT need to imagine Billy with Insta-saw. Ffs, pre-nerf Billy had a rev time of just 1.8 seconds and it was oppressive af, we do NOT need a rev time that's even shorter base.

Billy's Rev time was always 2.5 seconds. Insta-saw was his best add-ons plus tinkerer.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

its what old carburetor tuning guide and primor bulb did. they reduce his charge time by 40%.

    2.5*0.4=1

    2.5-1=1.5

your basically asking for old instant saw add-on to be base-kit. Its very doubtful that they'll ever revert changes to old gutted killers unless something magical happens. nostalgia of old billy...

Tinkerer was changed. Without Tinkerer, it's not insta-saw anymore and without the charge time reduction, he'll never be used again because any type of loop or window makes revving his chainsaw an easy escape against him. He's the only killer who gets harshly punished for using his power at a loop.

Even Leatherface can move in all directions with an insta-down and still break pallets with it. Billy moves in a straight line with a slight turn. Bubba is superior to Billy in every way except for distance. Billy even has a CD now. He doesn't need a 2.5 second rev time.

  • Parasite, Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop and even Full Metal Alchemist would be amazing additions. At least make skins for them except for FMA. I would love to see Lust, Wrath or Gluttony with the Elric Brothers as survivors.

The huge desync was during the Binding of Kin patch, not All Kill.

Correct but it continued into the All Kill Chapter. I hate bringing up streamers' names but there are videos from 4 months ago that was explaining why the massive desync was still going on at that point.

  • This was when server desync was so bad, you could get hit from 20 steps away with no rhyme or reason. It was a ######### time lol.

  • My bad, I misread it XD Yeah, I wouldn't mind that. The only thing is, I would make it so the survivors could crouch through it after creating it so the killer would have to break it to get through, otherwise it would be kind of pointless. Would work well with doorways so they would have to break it before getting to someone on a gen.

You actually waste way more time with Counterforce since you have to move all the way to the other side of the map with a chance of getting spotted by the killer. Detective’s hunch rewards you for doing your objectives.

I don't use CF like that. If I'm running it, I'll run it with SG as a combo.

  • Counter Force due to the cleansing speed. Helps against other hexes like Thrill Of The Hunt and keeps you moving. Also gives you the extra oomph to take out NOED if it's close to the hooked survivor. Detectives is a good overall perk but Counter Force is great if you really need speed on your side so you waste less time doing things.

  • @Spill said:

I also thought a CONSTRUCTION KIT item would be cool. It allows you to build ONE breakable wall in a doorway after 16 seconds. So its not permanent and at max only 4 can be built if every survivor brought it.

Some killers instantly think 'OP!!!" but that's 1 less medkit and toolbox. Plus its breakable

Or the idea of an ADRENALINE SYRINGE. It does NOT heal but applies 3 second sprint burst. 1 time use only.

Or a SLINGSHOT which is similar to diversion but in item form. Only 2 uses.

These things are more meme than meta but would inject some fun into dbd

I like all but the pallet creation. Really like the adrenaline shot and the slingshot. Reminds me of the blight serum for the Halloween event and the slingshot would be a nice item to have, also.

  • @HaunterofShadows said:

    I'm down

It's only purpose is to waste time for the survivor but if someone else cleanses a totem, you get screwed out of the cleansing buff. I think it won't hurt anything but you should NOT get the aura reading still. Just the speed buff increase since a totem was cleansed.

  • So I don't have to worry about prestiging anymore so I don't lose anymore of my stuff?

  • He needs his rev add-ons and not to make them stack. 2.5 seconds to try to rev and you get looped and windowed to death. That's his weakness. At least, make his base rev 1.5 seconds then he'd be great again. His overheat doesn't hurt him that much. It's his rev add-ons being taken away and his only rev add-on reduces his movement plus causes him to lose even more distance when he revs with it due to his speed penalty on top of his movement speed penalty due to the add-on. I've been playing him and trying to rev for almost 3 minutes gives survivors plenty of time to keep running, throwing pallets and hopping through windows. You can only use his chainsaw in the open, which is rare with the new maps linking pallets and windows together.

  • I once had a killer leave my profile page on steam on his profile so he could check to see if I go against him again so he could only kill me. Faced him a few more times and always managed to run him almost all game before going down but always got out because of teammates with BT. After like the 5th match against him, I told him gg. He told me personally that I should go off myself and my family because only a person who will try to survive that much in a game must mean I have no life and I have the thought process of a serial killer. I told him, I love him and I wish him the best. After that, he just started dodging me lol. I ended up getting him while I was playing killer and allowed the man to live after killing everyone and 2-hooking him and when he realized it was me, he started going off on how mercy isn't deserved against a piece of ######### like me and so on and so forth. Haven't seen him in a long time. Don't really know what happened to him.

  • So far, I've done some sick surprise hits on people using it XD I couple it with the slam add-on that allows a longer time before fatiguing and watch to see where they're gonna go and WHAM! LMAO. Had 2 groups say I was cheating XD

The camera movement doesn't matter. It's useful for getting really really large turns in your lunges, but the fact that your rush turning is basically eliminated makes this "upside" garbage, as turning during the rush is far more important for getting into positioning to lunge than camera control is. You have more than enough camera control and tracking in the basekit, so that extra camera movement is not needed at all. The best tracking addon for Blight is Compound, which is for survivors behind obstructions. Any survivor that's out in the open, you can track just fine WITH crazy good turning that you have and the benefit of other incredibly good addons.

The great thing about Blight's controls is that his turning follows right behind his camera, so when you turn your camera, you'll begin turning a second afterward. It's not at all like Billy, for example, who has his camera and turning locked together. Thus, expert Blights hip-bump instead of head-on bump, which essentially gives them more camera control while they drift their hip into the object that they want to collide in, which allows them to quickly adjust their camera position while Rushing to immediately break into their NEXT Rush without having to make any/little adjustments during the slam, saving them loads of time and getting them hits that they may have not gotten otherwise if they collided into an object head-on. This is entirely impossible with Adrenaline Vial, as a huge part of this technique is the fact that you can turn in your rush. Speaking from experience!

All the things that you can do with the improved look angle is all possible without it AND more. The hip-bump technique you're describing is definitely not exclusive to Adren Vial, though it may just require slightly more precise timing without it, which is no problem at all.

Who's praising Adren Vial? I would like to hear their arguments lol

Been using the slam one that allows me to see people highlighted. Its AMAZING.

  • Just separate his bottle's so he can use 4 of each and if not in chase, make the haste effect 5% more effective on self. If in a chase, it's immediately reduced to its normal value. That'll help him get across the map to stop gens.

  • This made me feel a lot better. Glad the devs went out and acknowledged this before the event started. This is the one event I look forward to all year and I'm really glad that they made sure everyone knew. Thanks, Devs! Sorry for doubting you! so the first thing i usually do is just not take the game seriously like in the long run its nothing that important but this may be tricky for some

try to stay positive if youre killer and you get run around the entire match just think like "they were the better player" and just take it as a learning experience, if they hit you with a ggez dont get upset just hit them with a "ggwp" because replying to a ggez usually just ends with more frustration

and just try to be nice to others, im not asking you to change playstyle, play how you like but when in end game chat just stay calm and try to be a nice person

and i hope it works for you, good luck

That's pretty much how I play this game. It works wonders.

My understanding is that it’s the “expert” version of Compound 7. The Blight should already have planned where he’s rushing/bouncing off of, and while rushing Blight freely looks around to plan where to rush next, or see where the survivor already is. By the time Blight hits a “bounce”, the intention is there to be no delay in launching into the next rush because you are already facing the required direction.

I’m not able to pull this off myself because I don’t play him regularly enough, and I find rushing sideways extremely nauseating.

Oh, the brown add-on. I thought it was worthless lol. Now I can see why those together would be really nasty. Pretty much, auto-aim.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I’ve read expert Blight players praise this add on. I don’t personally play Blight, but apparently (according to them) the ability to look all around whilst rushing is invaluable in planning their next Rush, and to keep track of a survivor.

The problem with it is, when you bounce, it's almost impossible even with the other add-on to actually turn to bounce off another object. It's like you bounce and you're pushing left or right but instead of swaying, you just barely get any kind of movement and you're getting sucked straight ahead. Once you bounce, you better pray to the Entity that you're facing an object to bounce off of because if you aren't... well, have fun XD

  • I think that quote fits it pretty damn well on how I felt after using it and couldn't move almost at all, left or right lol.

I'm bed bound at the moment, my back hurts as all hell and I have absolutely no idea. So here I am, drinking rum and loathing at a particular topic that hits close to home. Killer mains, you'll understand this plight.

It was the 2017 when I joined, survivors were strong, but the developers started giving us love. Hope was returning, we were on par for once, twas glorious days.

I've been here for years now, I've watch the graph shoot up and down, complaints for both sides of whom is truly the worst, but in the end, we were all together. Through thick and thin.

But... it all changed when the dreaded survivor nation attacked....

It's June 16th, 2020. Pyramid Head was released, survivors were at a riot, complaining about his power, he's OP, he's scum. But.. the developers never did anything about it. Survivors were huddled together and thought "So the devs won't listen to our complaints about his power.... so what can we do to win this?" As they discussed, an unnamed Survivor comes up with the most dreaded idea in the world. An idea that split the community for once and for all. The shot around the world.

    A survivor took this photo.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6HS4EMHXK3RP/screenshot-20210624-211822-chrome.jpg

Do you see it? It's cake.

Our version of an escape cake. An escape from reality. Something that highly motivates us to wake up and play killer, something that pushes back our tears and allows us to be happy.

The dreaded survivor complained. "It's too sexual, it hurts the character's intergraty!" More and more evil survivors joined together in arms and rioted.

    #NERFTHEBUTT

An evil trend that followed Bhvr on Twitter, attacking their ankles like my neighbor's stupid chihuahua when I try to grab my paper in the morning.

Bhvr couldn't handle the onslaught and had to make the ultimate sacrifice. They had to nerf the killer's greatest asset. Our butt. The butt that carries us to salvation, our light in dark times. They had to remove it.

On the accounts of it being too sexual.

TO HELL TO THEM CLAIMS I SAY!

Do you know what this is?

To the untrained eye, it's a butt. But, not just any butt. The scientific name for it is called the "gluteus maximus." Why does it have a scientific name? Simple. Because it's a muscle. A muscle that can be trained via squats.

Why does that matter? Because the bigger the butt muscle, the more that person can carry, having a big butt isn't just for appeal, it's for strength. Which side uses strength the most?

    THAT'S RIGHT

    KILLERS

Killers lift heavy survivors day in and day out, they have muscles, they're strong. Amanda most likely has a six pack! So, with all that crouching to pick up survivors is bound to build strength to the gluteus maximus.

    But... that's not true.
