some hacks are really hard to detect,so you probably wont even notice
true if they add a speed up of 2% or so on but those hax0rs are not cool
I wanna see someone with all perks (except NM) enabled lol cuz bored of same game features, or something weird like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGB1qwkIVV8 -
im very unlucky not finding those cool hackers in game lol
hackers are whether noobs or bored of game, btw I would like to hack "all perks enabled" but im too scared of getting caught lol
-
its a matter of psychology; survs got frustrated cuz they cannot fight back (only head on and DS) the killer, so they express violence by any means
DBD would be way more fun if survs had more perks and items to fight back to address frustration

It really gets under my skin for some reason, especially when I never trolled or looped the killer during the match. I've never felt like whacking a survivor after I hooked em. It feels like that itself is kind of trolling.
Because it is pure fun and satisfaction, check from 3:12

I find clown extremly "unfun" actually. He definitely deserves a rework
yup he is very unfun... the top fun is the Huntress cuz she is a turtle and it is fun to dodge the hatchets
-
I think the Clown need a deeper rework...
-> exposure to the gas for longer time can get you into Broken status similar to the Plague mechanisms, and you are back to normal after some time (that time can be increased with add-ons)
-
the offerings that let you play another killer you dont have.... I had dozens of these offerings and suddenly they got disabled
-
DBD needs to hire an expert on Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, and implement rewards when killer voluntarily stop tunneling/camping, and punishments when doing so
with the current team, they had no AI skills, apparently just dummy bots in mobile version
-
Mr. Bubba kindly requests a 5th perk slot because it will:
- increase the fun without affecting balance
- and specially cuz he cannot make up his mind to pick just 4 from dozens

Movie sadly got pushed up to Sep. You would think they would do Candyman when the movie came out or when it's about too.
yup coz covid but it will be anyways a good promo for the movie in Sept
-
its the Candyman cuz the 2020 movie is matching with the release of the killer
PERIOD
-
well DBD is a Satanic-Iluminati game as much as Pyramid Head is... so that's feasible

So I guess this means you're...like what...trash?
I am in singular battle concerning survs to pressure DBD devs for including anti-facecamping mechanisms or punishments
-
Just a 5th perk slot
period
-
I'm sure our fun will be increased with a 5th perk slot, not to mention cuz we have way too many perks to decide for
If you wanna neeft it then make mandatory to use a character's base perk as 5th slot

When I played bubba and use his chainsaw to destroy pallets there is a constant noice of his chainsaw even when he already destroyed the pallet. Then I have to charge the chainsaw a bit then let go to remove the sound.
Is this a known bug or not because this happened after the patch. And this patch had a lot of bugs.
Yes it is a bug that continuous sound, confirmed by me too

.... Those players aren't good though? The Claudette from the video stealth walks around the map like a scared noob. This guy's obviously not complaining about noob players owning him. The thread is obviously about bully SWF teams. Bully SWF teams run around the map and aren't afraid of the killer. They mock him and make him look foolish...
haha true they seem newbies but was fun anyways to facecamp and 4k

I love yui but her voice is extremely boring.
yup sounds like the voice from any regular japanese girl taken without any musicality or personality, not a professional voice actress like for the rest of characters

check what is a proper facecamping at 2:53 to fight back those pesky plumbers, I mean survs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqiiw44hpOU -
fight toxicity with toxicity
I suggest a proper Bubba facecamp charging

@Fibijean said:
Apparently, it was designed that way very intentionally. The idea is that the fact that the perk is on a cooldown makes sabotaging a hook that the killer is coming towards a much risker play. It's essentially a trade-off - you risk disabling the perk temporarily for the possibility that you might be able to prevent someone getting hooked. It also means you can't go around sabotaging every hook in a particular area to create a dead zone, unless you have a toolbox (which, of course, has limited uses).
how about seeing the auras of nearby hooks around a downed surv and not only while being carried?
-
I find more molesting bumping into invisible corners like when going up/down the basement and others in a chase
-
@ifeelthelags said:
This update..... I quit playing for now. As survivor even as killer I got stuck in hooks, pallets, I can’t jump through windows because they are like an invisible wall. I even got stuck in a locker... looked funny, but well....
I wonder how this can happen so much. So probably this can’t be map changes only.
THIS is gamebreaking.
This is true, with some practice (and not only by chance) you can get the killer, survs and yourself stucked in pallets and in the corners of small mountains (hills)
-
By the way, the map should be the parking for cars

But off the record, even though they hint towards candyman, i think they will chock the dbd world with a Jason voor hees chapter" I think they have find a backdoor entrance to the license.
Didn't dbd have a lawsuit on Jason/Trapper? We don't know how that process ended up to confirm Jason as killer...

i would think that they can give it a little twist though, maybe the mirrors only appear when survivor do certain actions. like in the mirror he only appears when they call his name.
Yup I expect some extra creativity too
-
@mottigedel said:
I would imagine there will be mirrors around the map where he can teleport to....
Exactly, a lazy copy-paste of the Pig boxes code lol

Bond is my fav perk cuz of that
I had to check the video to see if was me but wasnt

I'm saying just move onto the next game if getting facecamped by bubba. Don't immediately die and give time for other mates to do gens tho. Like how often do you see a facecamping bubba? I've spent 2k hours on this game, like I rarely see a facecamping bubba especially in red rank.
I have discovered that most of facecamped survs get desperated and give up committing suicide fast instead of hanging on letting others do gens, so in the end, this strategy works in order to accelerate the killer's goals and kills
-
@rabldong said:
I mean I personally don't agree with camping/tunneling but there are already anti-camping/tunneling perks such as borrowed time, DS, for the people, unbreakable. Like I know it sucks to be facecamped but you just have to move onto the next game. And if survivors are just going to camp and farm hooks, there's nothing a killer can do about it, but camp (at least proxy camp if they are always 5 feet away from the hook). I'm saying this as I play both killer and survivor equally but I think this game is also stupid in a sense that being really good at killer punishes you from DS (Like efficiently downing survivor one after another without tunneling but imagine getting DS'ed which is possible if you play hillbilly or spirit)
If done properly, borrowed time, DS, for the people, unbreakable, etc are worthless against a charging Bubba. Not even synchronized SWF can save against a serious facecamper unless they do a great job with dbd Styptic Agent and MoM... but most likely they wont be even wounded to use them

What? Those perks doesn’t help you at all for camping Lmao. More like for getting ppl to the basement but if you’re camping it’s the same as any other hook. The only way you can stop trading is STBFL at 8 stacks.
that perks help me with hooking, once im doing it I am just charging the chainsaw
pretty much no perks needed to facecamp
-
@Kakateve said:
I know better
- Borroved time that meant for this but used for cocky ass unkooks and annoying body blocking
- Trading hooks
- Gang unhook so the killer gets nothing out of it
- Get forked because it’s a leatherface with a chainsaw and you can’t do nothing.
- If I do my job seriously, no survivor with BT will be able to save you from Bubba charging and because of next point
- I will equip Agitation + Iron grasp + Mad Grit, most like not a problem
- Same as 2
- Wrong

Cool. I look forward to you being similarly annoyed by gen rush (strategy) complaints while enjoying repeated complaints about noed, spirit, freddy, cleansing time, killers seeing items/free information in lobby.
You're either deliberately missing the point that @Dwight_Fairfield was making about popular repeated complaints on both sides, or just lack the reading comprehension to understand, in context, when he replied "no different than complaints about DS.." he was comparing the common reccuring complaints by killer and survivor, and not equating a strategy to a perk. You're being unnecessarily pedantic on distinguishing between strategy vs other game design elements, when the focus of that comment was on popular complaints.
Genrush is not an issue for me anymore since the toolboxes run out quick and are worthless
My only complain is facecamping and not having a 5th perk slot,
so I will play killer facecamping only in order to concern more and more about addressing it
-
It will be a shapeshifter you can play as surv, hide in lockers, reverse progress ....
-
I do relax facecamping to the max for priceless end Game comments
-
Shapeshifter to play as killer-Dwight
-
They only way to have fun is being super toxic. My suggestion is to do sabotage hooks, head on, DS, tbag, pointing at killer, BT, torture hooked survs, bloodwarden, FD and facecamping
-
sorry for the bump, last post here, since wanted to show you an example of a surv sacrificed a 100% from 1st hook and reactions including a DC
- Russian Twitch streamer got 100% facecamped on 1st hook with SWF from 2:53
-
It wasn't a 100% toxic match since let make some gens and didn't facecamp completely... but I bet the survs approved the valid facecamping strategy, not posting the aftermatch comments... way too hard

Also, you asked if facecamping should be bannable. Not if it's taking the game hostage.
And no, it should not. It's a legit strat. Some Salty Survivors will claim KILLING THEM should be bannable, so they can win with 0 effort. That does not mean the Killer's attacks should be removed because 'The customers matter more'.
Summarizing, any terrible gaming experience as facecamping is, should be addressed by the devs, to keep the customers happy, call it with mechanisms or banable, I hope everyone agrees with that
Failing at addressing a terrible game experience practice as facecamping is means unhappy customers and a reduced value of a bad product
Sorry for using biz quotes

Rofl. Yes, the devs are the demigods, because they make the game and the rules.
And you can't expect some salty Survivor (or Killer) to know what's better than the devs who make the game.
The devs have said: Taking the game hostage means the game cannot end in any way.
The game cannot end, in any way.
Someone dying on the hook will eventually leave the game via death. Same for bleeding on the ground, or being trapped in a corner after endgame collapse starts.
So no, regardless of what your little test proves; facecamping is NOT taking the game hostage. Sorry.
There you go buddy, the opinions of the gamers (the customers) is what worth, over the demigod devs that did not manage this top 1 issue
-
@Entity_Hugs said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1265509#Comment_1265509
The difference is that the game can still end via your teammates doing generators while Bubba facecamps. Also, you will eventually die while facecamped. Therefor it's not holding the game hostage in any way.
Also, devs have said camping is valid, so people need to just accept that sometimes Killers camp to get kills.
devs said camping is valid so what? they gave up this issue? are they the ultimate unquestionable demigods? I wont buy this valid method of game hostage
and no, there is no difference if you got sacrified hold in a corner hostage due to end game mechanism VS in the hook with bubba breathing to your face
imma do a test right now facecamping til die on 1st hook a surv and ask in the end chat if that was keeping hostage or not

I think you shouldn't be worried as long as you use the software that comes with your hardware. I wouldn't recommend using 3rd party software that you find on the internet. I know there have been numerous reports of people in various different games, getting banned for using AHK.
thanks I will avoid using AHK... the problem is my logitech G203 has no specific software/tutorial for moonwalking, so I gotta search some 3rd party and try
-
@pizzamess11 said:
Idk if it's allowed but I've been using macros for struggle phase since I got the game since I'm too lazy to sit there and tap my space bar.
so you are maybe self-reporting? lol
I searched before and they said it is not bannable but the automatic anti-cheating software may ban you, and they provided a whilelist link which is not working... so thats why I am asking, I wanna moonwalk basically with my Logitech G203
-
What is the difference between keeping the game hostage (bannable) and Facecamping with Bubba breathing to your face charging at 1st hook until die?
-
@venom12784 said:
What about survivors running near the hook and killer is chasing them? You hook radius what have to be small to account for this
there should be AI algorithms clever enough to find out if the killer is facecamping or not

The developers say that camping is a valid strategy. Are you saying your opinion outranks theirs on what is or isn't intended?
Sadly, devs gave up on fixing this TOP 1 issue, thats the matter here, thats why they say "a valid stratedy", and we try to help fixing it, since it is unfair, it is a "valid unfair strategy", do you know any online games with that?
Imagine I find Ochido in game and I want to troll him... so after I hook him I stay in front with Bubba charging the whole match, so he got facecamped and nothing he can do to derank
-
@zone_dymo said:
How much time do you have on this game? what rank are you in both survivor and killer?
(yes this is needed information for this sort of debate)
What radius are you thinking off? its kinda important and has to be defined anyway should the devs go with the plan.
What happens when survivors are close by the hook and the killer knows/sees this?
What does this matter for killers who have ways of returning in seconds (spirit / hag / nurse / (huntress in a way) / hillbilly / Oni)
What if you are in the basement? this is kinda related to the radius thing.
Honestly personally I think the solution more lies in rewarding not doing it or relieving some of the "suffering" the survivors have at the hand of a camping killer, then trying to find mechanics to punish it for killers.
Killers are not in the power position in this game, doing more to stop them from being able to do anything will most likely just result in less and less killers overall (heck many will probably go on strike merely because any sort of nerf was applied towards the killer side) meaning just longer and longer queue times aka no games for anyone.
I am very near 1k hours, I used to play killer only in the beginning but now surv only, (rank 7), so let's say around 40%/60% hours spent in each, respectively.
Radius can be only made accurate after testers try and see, but let's say 6 metres for the mechanism 2, if you mean that. The mechanism only try to prevent facecamping, it obviously needs a tune up, testing and validation, probably mixing mechanisms or providing new ones.
It would be great if any devs can provide their point of view, since facecamping is probably the top 1 issue not address and not intended to yet
As you say, rewarding should be also an ok option to add up: a killer is rewarded with extra BPs or reduced the total of BP considering an AI algorithm checking the behavior of the killer
