    Nope. Try applying pressure.

Killer can apply pressure only to 1 survivor at a time.

The loss of exhaustion for madness 3 is a massive nerf for the doc.

  • I dont understand why her terror radius was nerfed. If you dont want stealth killers, dont make stealth killers.

Her power can help around small loops, IF survivor make a mistake.. but in general the dash is useless.

Another the bottom tier m1 killer.

  • Time to get Alexa.

    Thanks.

  • Im afraid that you will need to find another game to play. We have aggressive community and they are hungry for punishments.

While I agree with twistedmonkey that the topic starter shouldnt play when he/she may need to leave, I disagree that this game need harsh punishments. Its just a game. It has only 1 game mode. Both casual and competitive players are mixed together.

    Let's be real guys.

If a killer main says "the game is balanced" it means the devs balanced it to average 4 kills.

Not true. Only few killers have tools to stop loops. Thats the problem.

  • If survivors cant find you, they cant prove you are AFK. :D

  • An eaxmple:

As Spirit I can choose between:

    • Stridor + Bamboozle + Pop + Ruin/other perk
    • Stridor + Bamboozle + Pop + BBQ

If BBQ wouldnt exist, you would always have both Ruin and Pop. Its hard to resist double bp, so you can have easier games as survivor.

Also, if Ruin would feel too weak, I would replace it with Dying Light (100% slower game), Corrupt Intervention, Knock Out (slugging), Infectious Fright, Blood Warden (longer match), Rancor (I would make sure to find and mori the obsession), Discordance (No double co-op points for you), STBFL (easier chases), I'm All Ears, Make Your Choice (someone always 1-shot) or basic NOED

You better leave BBQ as it is.

    Watch raging_ryuga on youtube

He has a video where he played 16 or so matches in red ranks in a row with Legion

4king in 12 of them and only getting an entity displeased once

Legion is viable when you play him right, not top tier ofcourse but far from useless

The Legion are near useless in good games. They can stomp only weak players. Any killer can be in red ranks. Why Entity was displeased? Because he played one match vs good survivors? He had to camp to get a kill? :'D If Legion is good killer and player is good, too, it must be always at least Brutal Killer score. Its not a gambling game. You either can win chases with killer or not. Legion have no tools to help them end chases. Thats why Legion was completely destroyed in one of those games.

  • @SirLoops said:

A lot of people don't really play Legion correctly. Yes legion is a lower tier killer for sure, but with the right perks and add-ons you can 100% get a 4k.

Personally my favorite lineup is to run thanatophobia, pop goes the weisel, sloppy butcher, and nurses. Take the pink add-on that allows you to vault over and break pallets, and decreased CD duration or the green one that increases frenzy duration. One benefit to Legion is he/she is amazing at wasting survivors time. Having to mend and heal all the time plus longer heals with sloppy is really advantageous.

You're also going to play him differently. Don't chase survivors, use frenzy to hit first one and go find others. Keep them off gens. Surprise attack and run away. Nurses will allow you to find injured survivors much easier. Survivors won't be able to go in for riskier unhooks or at least they'll be scared too cause EVERYONE is injured. Play Legion like you would play ghostface or wraith and I guarantee you'll be farrr more successful, it's worked well for me

You cant always expect 4k with Legion. Experienced survivors wil spread or wait near pallets to end FF and force 4s stun. Also, DH is popular. After you will injure them, dodging FF will be fun. They will feed you 4s stuns all day long.

  • I play Spirit, if Im mad or survivors take 2+ toolboxes. Spirit is one of few killers who can stop looping.

Perks: Stridor + Bamboozle + POP + Ruin and Mories.

EDIT: IMO, the best add-on type for her is the one that increase her power activation speed (Bloody Hair Brooch, White Hair Ribbon and Gifted Bamboo Comb), because you dont want to wait for your power and lose distance. Breaking a pallet take 2,6s and that is enough to get to another pallet. If you wait too long for your power, you are just breaking another pallet and allowing survivors to escape. The 2nd best add-on type is Phase-Walking movement speed addons. If you dont have power activation add-ons, or its the brown add-on, then you should equip at least this or combine both together (activation+movement). If you have Bloody Hair Brooch (the best activation add-on), then you can combine it with the best power recovery rate add-on, Rusty Flute. The recovery rate add-on wont help you to win chases, but its a good addition, it will decrease the recharge by -3s (15s -> 12s wait). Wakizashi Saya and Katana Tsuba are not bad, they are probably better than the brown (-1s) and the yellow (-2s) recharge speed add-ons, but they are equally weak.

  • Add-ons that allow her to use her machine gun once are strong, but survivors can dodge the bullet. Its about how good survivors are.

  • My anti-swarm build punished an aggressive swf. Feels good.

As a survivor main, I believe this would unbalance the game even more. If you had these two for free, it would be even easier to gen rush the killer what already is a huge problem in the game imo. I believe they just need to make it harder to rank up.

And I believe the reason why red rank killers really dominate red rank survivors (mostly, if not a swf) is that ranking up as killer is really hard and only the really skilled players achieve red rank as killer (mostly). When these skilled red rank killers face these red rank survivors, they'll obviously dominate them. So I don't believe there should be any buff to survivors. You will understand this once you play enough matches as both killer and survivor.

well, swf has this info, so, IMO, it wouldnt unbalance the game more than it is unbalanced.

  • Only Spirit, Freddy and Bubba are real killers. All other "characters" are nothing but skins.

  • omg, youre god pallet to pallet runner №9124809. Teach me your tricks.

  • yeah, there are SWF players I wouldnt mind to camp twice.

  • One of bottom tier killers who drink experienced survivors piss.

But, as mentioned before, they don’t have to be rewarded. They can simply not be penalized because they did not have the option to optimally play.

Are you familiar with RTS/4x games? A lot of those have a Time-Limit Treaty to prevent advanced players from steamrolling Intermediate or Novice players. Obviously, we don’t need a 5-10minute treaty because that’s enough time to finish the game or at least knock out a few gens.

Let say, a 90-120 second penalty delay BUT BP is still awarded to each because more than likely a chase will ensue.

Now here’s the catch, because this penalty delay or “treaty” can promote survivor or killer DC due to circumstances. This is where the DC penalty comes into play that I’ve heard they’re working on. There is obviously no work around hook suicide because it’s very hard to build an algorithm around intelligently identifying intentional hook suicide. But, this prevents survivor penalty from being tunneled and awards a killer still for hooking a survivor.

    any input on that?

Hide or die. Dont be a noob. It is so simple.

That is another problem that doesn't has nothing to do with this problem.

I can easily say keys are balanced as long as solo experience be horrendous.

And chases doesn't take hours, that is on you if you decide to chase the survivor in a strong loop.

You just admit that survivors are immortal, if they go to strong loops.

  • Yes they are balanced as long as generators are done in 3 minutes and chases take hours.

  • I like his design. If devs will add a cooldown or remove instadown, I'll go back to Spirit. I dont play Bubba for 4k. I play him for respect. Survivors dont run in front of him. Survivors dont swarm hooks. If you take it away, Bubba will become meaningless. You can only buff his movement when using his chainsaw.

  • Do anything you like. Its just a game.

  • @Mat_Sella said:

90% of Huntress' just wait until they're in melee range to throw a hatchet, so this would just make her more boring to fight against.

90% of survivors would get behind a window or a pallet before it would happen.

That what i say if you want devs listen to the killer side just stop playing the game it the same as when survivors DC. If survivors can't find games then they will try to make killer side better.

Or play Bubba and hold m2 at hooks. They hold m1, we hold m2, nobody is forced to do more.

  • Camp them all. They hold m1 at generators, you hold a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy their cries. You dont have to show more skill than they do.

  • I think all killers can be 115, or map pressure is impossible.

  • Here is my graph.

    dbd_matchmakin.jpg

I dont wait for a match more than 30s, but I can get any rank survivors. So what was this game? High rank game, mid rank or low rank? Did this game count? Bubba now is top tier after this game? :D

    Kill rate can mean anything.

  • Show me where skilled survivors are in this graph. Kill rate can mean anything. I know teams of 3 survivors who have no trouble doing 5 gens and getting out with AFK player and I know teams that cant do a single generator, because Ruin.

  • It can mean anything. Just allow free Kindred to solo survivors. Well, I think it is not op.

Camping and tunneling is NOT killrushing. You waste 5-10 minutes chasing one survivor while everyone is working on gens. Congrats. You killed one player while three escaped 😂

If a game is 5-10min long, it is likely 3-4k for me. 😋 Dont worry, I dont waste my time.

Cold Dirt sucks, 0.6 seconds? You're joking... I hope they will just reduce the fatigue to 3 seconds already...

    I agree

Also, vaulting over a pallet take 0,9s. Thats 4,9s or 4,3s vs breaking pallet in 2,6s.

Usually, those 2,6s are enough for survivor to get to another pallet. So Cold Dirt reducing the stun to 3,4s doesnt help.

BTW, Brutal Strength speed up breaking pallets to 2,17s, but does it help? Anyone use it? No.

  • The problem is that you mention Mories alone. They are strong, yet, they are a part of the balance. :D

  • @Sandt21 said:

Take all addons that reduce chainsaw noise level (minus Carburetor Tuning Guide) and replace them with addons that reduce your terror radius at all times. One could reduce yourr TR by 4 meters, and the other could reduce it by 6 meters.

    That would be interesting.

  • Sure, not bad for 10 games.

We all uprank eventually, if we play long enough, so ranks are not worth a discussion.

The fact is that the Legions power is not lethal. It can help to get the 1st hit, but after that the Legion is nothing but m1 killer. M1 killers get 4k, sure, but are they powerful? Can they scare experienced survivors? The Legion have no tools to help them end chases quick. FF stun take 4s. Breaking a pallet take 2,6s. And on top of all FF take 20s to recharge. FF can be on cooldown when its needed.

    Not bad m1 skin.

  • I wouldnt mind to give solo survivors Kindred and totem count.

    EDIT: as free extra perks

  • My the biggest complaint is that I need to unlock the same perks for every character over and over again. The more perks are added to the game, the less likely Im going to play multiple survivors or even killers. It add nothing but unnecessary grind. If I unlocked a perk for every character once, then I would like to have it just available without grind. Well, it mean that I will buy less cosmetics, too. Think about it. I dont need cosmetics for characters I have to grind for 100h+ to unlock my favourite perks on them.

I agree with edgarpoop about keys and mories. The green mori (1 kill), probably can stay, but the pink mori (4 kills) is too strong. It may be not strong on mid to bottom killers, but, if I take Spirit, thats in 99% 4k.

Also, I would like to see a better matchmaking. I know that devs balance it around looping. They think that there is a little skill in hiding and, if a survivor cant survive a chase, the survivor shouldnt be upranked to endure harder chases. I agree that surviving chases is important, but I believe getting 2 generators repaired must be the top priority. Opening the exit gates is the main objective. It must be the most rewarding action. Survivors can compete against each other at getting repair points. I play more killer than survivor and Im often shocked how unbalanced teams are. Some survivor groups can repair all generators in under 5 min and ignore ruin. Some survivors cant repair a single generator. Its not ok.

  • 1) Its a hex totem.

    2) Adrenaline is not Hex.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/946139#Comment_946139

How am I triggered? You’re off point. My team completed the objective AND escaped. Also, where did I mention we planned a gen-rush? Me and my group or just a single friend never plan to gen-rush. We actually rarely run toolboxes. We’re mostly an altruistic team that completes gens at a moderate pace. My point is, killers that tunnel a survivor 2-3x in a row ignoring other survivors.

You’ve proved your bias towards tunneling, now move along.

"5 gens still up and the killer targets one individual"

Tunneling you 1 by 1 even if 5 generators are not repaired is OK. Get over it. Its a playstyle.

  • @Ramxenoc445 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/944955#Comment_944955

You can penalize gen rushing by slugging with noed. Assuming they don't cleanse noed you got it. Also bring blood warden so if a gate gets opened or you know its happening hook block the exit go get em

A solid endgame build is a playstyle. Killers dont need to wait for the endgame to "punish" survivors actions or a lack of action. We can call tunneling and genrush a punishment, but two sides just collide together. If killer doesnt apply pressure to everyone, just use it to your advantage.

Anyone can play the game any way they like. The topic starter is triggered, because his team dont repair generators, but he put all guilt on tunneling killer, who, BTW, expected to be genrushed. Other survivors choosed to break totems, farm hooks, open chests and do anything but the main objective, yet, they are not punished for it. Hey, lets punish the killer.

  • None is bad. Thats two parts of the game. Two sides of the same coin.

Both sides sacrifice time or resources. Killer eventually kill some survivors, some survivors eventually escape.

  • Devs nefred pallets, windows, DS, BT, exhaustion perks and healing for a reason. They dont want survivors to be immortal. You allow mistakes = you die.

If 5 generators stay not repaired, thats survivors not doing their objective.

Also, devs ask to not report tunneling. Tunneling is ok.

Jesus. You are outstandingly biased towards killers tunneling. You completely ignore the statement we’ve both made about killers ignoring those that bodyblock or assist the survivor being tunneled.

Blocked ways cant be ignored. Killer waste time to hurt the bodyblocker or to go around. You completely ignore all bodyblocking opportunities that survivors have.

  • @KeepingItCooler said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945665#Comment_945665

What happens when you only play solo queue, like myself, and don't have a SWF team that would go down for you? What do you suggest a survivor to do when they play solo and hook save someone and try to intentionally get hit for the unhooked person only for the killer to ignore my body blocking and go right for the unhooked person, or better yet they hit me and still go after the unhooked person with 5 gens still up at the beginning of the match? That's what this dude is talking about, not when there's two or three gens left and the killer needs to do something to apply more pressure, so they tunnel to get 1 kill.

If nobody go down for you, you dont go down for them. As simple as that. Do generators or other actions when its safe.

If killer allow you to heal yourself.. well, heal and take more hits. As simple as that. :D You can waste all of killers time by bodyblocking and healing multiple times. You can block windows, doors, pallets and narrow ways. There are more than enough places block killer.

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945592#Comment_945592

Bonus for switching, That’s a good one! I think my 2nd suggestion is a good one. As I haven’t thought of how it could be abused.

My issue is survivors are honestly penalized the most if they’re immediately washed from the game.

    As in:

    game starts

    killer spots you

    you run

    caught

    hooked

    unhooked

    chased

    caught

    hooked

    rinse

    repeat

    No BP and de-pip

maybe the devs need to put a time-limit before BP is gained and Penalties or chances to lose pips can occur.

Killers do not spawn on top of survivors. You are tunneled, because YOU dont hide.

Its OK that it is hard to get out of tunneling. Killer must be able to kill survivors, lol. What next - punish killers for hurting survivors?

If your life is so valuable, your teammates should go down for you before its too late. They should do it before you are at the death hook. If your teammates never really care about you, then you shouldnt play too careless. It all comes back to you, eventually. Think about it.

  • I expect toolboxes. Rancor is always with me.

  • You died, because you are too careless. Your teammates and killer didnt waste their time. You were outplayed by all other players (killers and survivors). You are the worst player in all 4 games you talk about. Killers are not guilty that you died 4 times in a row. It was YOU. I repeat, it was YOU. You didnt hide well and you expected to have an easy game.

Also, killing more than one survivor is not a rule, its a gamble. If there is enough time, killer can choose to try to get more kills. If there is no time to get more kills, nobody have to go after all survivors.

    And Im survivor main!

  • getting any kill with Bubba feel satisfying.
