Guys remember that I did say at the end that they are changing the 3s cooldown
If they are changing things, then for us the test server is meaningless. We need to see the final version of him.
-
Vs bad survivors, sure. I can go afk for 10min, come back and find them stuck in pallets.

They said nurse was "fine" too
true, but it need to go live for a proper judgement.
-
Lets wait until the update go live. I was pessimistic about it, too, but youtubers show that its not bad. Well, I need to try it myself to believe in it. Nope, I wont be testing it at test server, because I dont play this grindy game for free.
-
I use PoP. Anti-genPoP.. :D

I play and enjoy both sides and like high risk high reward stuff like Devour Hope. You have to work for your stacks after all. If you get 5 stacks you deserve to mori the hell out of people 😁
True. If the totem spawn in a good place, we deserve a mori or two.

Many killers have already switched to other builds on XB1. Saw several Devour Hope killers instead of Ruin as it has a similar effect IF it doesn't get cleansed before it comes into play, of course. Many people panic and run around like headless chickens as soon as one gets hit with the 3rd stack haha.
Once the Ruin change goes live I will probably try the new Doctor with:
- Corrupt Intervention to slow down the game
- Whispers (+static blast) so they can't hide it out
- Enduring (so I can recover immediately forcing them to stay at pallets till I can shock/hit them)
- Devour hope/@Boss
I play Huntress with Devour. I can hide it until 5th stack. :D Now get paranoid every time you see a Huntress.
-
If you know where are the last 3 generators, its piss easy to go to the furthest from killer generator and get it done. Also, the perk help to avoid 3 close together generators situation. Alert show which generators killer is protecting and 5s wallhack will tell you where killer is going next. If killer is breaking pallets, thats bonus info that killer is in chase.
Piss easy games.
-
Thats too much info for survivors.
You can use Déjà Vu, Alert and Aftercare for more info.
Survivors dont need to do generators faster than they already do. After ruin nerf expect only nerfs.
-
I like farming WGLF with No mither. It must be meta.
-
Resident Evil Outbreak.
-
Get Rancor and camp doomed obsession. After you have fun with rancor open a gate and go block a totem, a chest or the other gates switch. Let them have a boring game.
-
Anyone remember the Victory Cube we had? It was only about hooks to get pips.
If killer would put on hook every survivor 2 times, that would be safe pip. (8 hook points for safe pip.)
A full sacrifice counted as 4 hook points.
playing fair and killing only 1 survivor was a pip.
Now remind me why did we moved to Emblems? I think that devs just want survivors dead. Dont hold back from Mori, Rancor and the best killer add-ons. Do your best to 4k.
-
non-meta = as killer, eat pallets all game or, as survivor, be a weak chain that cant help enough to get anyone out. Thanks, no.
-
I like black.
-
Sometimes, I pick strong survivors over weak and kill them first. I prefer to give the hatch to the strongest player.
-
It depend on the mood. Sometimes I kill them all regardless of what they do, sometimes they can sacrifice a toolbox and I let them live. Im the type of killer who enjoy desparate souls, who stand still injured and stare into my eyes. If players accept their defeat, I'll likely let them go. Except, ofc, if its a first chase and you give up to play vs a certain killer. Nope, play the game. Play at least 5 minutes, then we can talk about peace.

I can see that, it was only a first suggestion. What would you change so solo que is not affected as much? Would it enough that only swf is affected?
For SWF exclusively (party of 3 or 4) I would decrease hook stages time. I would decrease every hook stage to 30s (default is 60s). It would be alike taking away 1 hook stage, but not making it as brutal as mori. 60s to sacrifice every survivor.
-
No, because we have killers who you cant hide from: Doc, wallhack Myers, Wallhack Wraith, Wallhack Plague, Wallhack Oni and Legion, the cherry on top.. xD And dont forget about BBQ + Iron Maiden + Infectious Fright.. and Make Your Choice, its power will increase exponentially.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Since when there was a fifth legion member?
Doc become Legion. Almost 4s stun. :D
-
The stats also show that ruin destroyed too many casual survivors. Ruin + casual survivors who cant hit skillchecks and cant find ruin + m1 killer = good killer? I disagree. We would need to discuss- what make a good killer? Does a power can help a killer to end chase? Thats where the truth is.
Nurse is the most painful killer to learn and play, because its a guessing game, but she is above m1 tier. If you have patience or you are a masochist and you enjoy gambling, she is not bad. She is able to 3k-4k good survivors.

People will get over it by not playing killer. Then you can wait in a lobby for 30 minutes muttering to yourself about how people "didn't get over it."
I play killer, unless I have a survivor daily. I dont mind it. :D If it will be easier to find games without toolboxes (hopefully), its good. I dont have enough mories to fight all the toolboxes they take. You shouldnt worry about it either..
I have friends who play survivors, so I can play both solo survivor and SWF. For some reason solo take longer to find games. SWF dont wait that long. Matchmaking is slow.

But this wasn't a fix for either side, it was a fix for inexperienced players. Players who shouldn't be trying to do the checks, they should be finding the totem. And inexperienced players become experienced players, making this fix for the smallest posible slice of the population.
BHVR messed up with this change.
Well, inexperienced killers shouldnt rely on Ruin to win. I guess, inexperienced killers will go to inexperienced ranks now. :P

@KrazyAce13 toolboxes definitely need a nerf as well don't get me wrong, but DS & BT are not balanced perks in the slightest.
I upvoted your comment, I agree that even 2 toolboxes can hurt killer a lot, but I think that making them near meaningless is bad.
I think they need to be completely changed. They shouldnt speed up repair speed, but, for example, they would reduce failing a skillcheck penalty. It wouldnt boost players that dont miss skillchecks, but toolboxes wouldnt become meaningless. New or casual players would make use of them.

Many Survivors want NOED removed as well. And many Killers think that perk rewards Killers for not being good during the match. Your defense examples all use (according to survivors) OP Killers and/or perks that are crutches.
And your way is 100% valid, and others who like to play differently like to use different perks then you. How boring would the game be if the only viable combination what the one you just defended yourself with?
Game after game of the same killer running the same perks? How long before the Survivors and Devs found an OVER PERFORMING stat in your game to justify another nerf to shut down your alternative build?
There should be many different ways of playing this game, not just the Killers being forced to keep switching to the next best killer/perk combo once the one they like to play has been gutted.
IMO, it is the only viable killer, but I get bored of the same killer. We all like to change killers. Thats why we dont play only the same killers. If there will be no viable killers, survivors will likely get nerfs again.
Devs change map designs. They reduce windows, pallets and change survivors perks. They improve quality for both sides.

I will agree that it can be frustrating seeing this perk so much when you're new to the game. But maybe the reason it was so common was because gens were such a problem. The only way killers will get over this change is if something is done to keep the perk around longer than it lasts on average, or if the gen speed issue is addressed.
If you play with Rancor and NOED, you can always secure at least 2 kills. If both sides are strong, 2 kills are balanced to me.

Unless those NEWBIES were against a Hag, the chances of them running into RUIN, unless they are SWF (and if that's the case TOUGH CRAP) were slim. And those newbies are not supposed to be able to power through tough skill checks, they were supposed to go find the TOTEM. Only experienced players could ignore the totem and crush the gens anyways.
Now any player can IGNORE the PERK and a HEX PERK at that. And cleanse it later when they happen upon it by accident, and since they got their easy start portion over, then can feel free to remove the perk before it becomes of use in the late game for the Killer.
It wasn't a newbie bully perk and if you played any time into Killer at Red Ranks you'd understand the issue more. I'll get over it , when you get educated about why 80% of Killers ran the perk.
I play Spirit with Stridor, Bamboozle, PoP and BBQ. If Im mad, I add mori and 3/4 players are doomed.
Well, if you allow toolboxes, yes, they can "mori" you, too, but you can dodge it, if it hurt you.
-
New killers can have Rancor or mories and easily satisfy their killer needs. 4k is not balanced, if its the problem.
-
It was newbie bully perk. You will need to get over it.
-
The perk was strong only vs newbies. I dont think it is a bad change. Killers will get less kills on average, but its more good than bad.
-
Potato destroyer nerfed, lol.

How is this threatening? it is simply a question and how I feel. If you find me saying or anyone saying that they are uninstalling a game is threatening, then I don't know what to say to you.
How do you know we are willing to return? Why do you assume we feel like dbd only satisfied us? I find Cod mw and ark, r6s WAY less stressful and broken and WAY more fun then dbd, and I find everyone on those games way more satisfying then dbd
You changed multiple games in a row, but you chose only DBD to discuss, right? Or you find a problem every time you want to move on.. ? Why DBD is special to you?
Why does it matter that you will uninstall? You had a good time and you could say that it were good X hours, and the game was worth it. Why you cant silently switch to something else without a problem and continue to have fun? It doesnt have to be always the same game. DBD doesnt have to be a bad game, either, because you decided to move. Its not a problem that you play another game. As long as you paid for DBD and had a good time, everyone should be happy.
Also, stress is ok. If you have too much stress, well, take a break. Everything that is excessive is bad. Even excessive Civ 5 would be bad.

I've not touched DBD in 3 months since getting into playing FFXIV, and yet I still browse the forums. No real correlation between playing the game and keeping up on the latest complain-ahem threads from the community.
The topic starter is attempting to threat devs by uninstalling the game. You both hang around and in this discussion, because you are willing to return. You feel like only DBD satisfied you. All games that we stop caring about we uninstall and completely forget.
TBH, the topic is meaningless.
-
Yup. M1 tier.
-
yet, you are here.
-
I accidentally scratched my monitor in the middle of it. Since then I rarely miss my hatchets. A scratch of luck, I guess.
-
I dont miss him.
-
Her face. Devs added a mask to completely cover it.
-
I had 2 full sacrifices, 1 suicide on hook and I let 1 guy take the hatch, and it was "merciless".. xD
-
My build is: Bamboozle, Infectious Fright, Corrupt Intervention and BBQ / Thanatophobia.
I feel like exhaustion is not worth it + I would need to get the new character and grind it. X_x God, pls, no..

I don't know about this chief. Probably not the fairest thing, and also it would be like cruel limits, RNG based, in a three gen on some maps might be strong (even tho 16m is not that much in this game).
Add Agitation and it wont be so RNG based.

- I need BT, because many killers love to camp.
- I need Kindred, because the same reason, and someone need to do gens.
- I need IW so that killer cant easily tell where I am, and to have a chance to play mind games.
- I need WGLF or Prove Thyself, because I dont want to end up with 10-20k bp.
Spine Chill? Sorry, no space for it.

I wish I could turn off chase musics.
Happy New Year.

I talk more than play, so only Devotion 3, Lvl33.

I done almost all archives and maxed it.
