  • Okay, so I get that teabagging and flashlight clicking can be seen as toxic, but I'm really confused on how 360s are. Most players are pretty bad at them, and you can usually catch them out on the 2nd try, if they actually pull it off the first time. I know some players can go a bit overboard with them, but it is a legitimate way to attempt to dodge a killer's attack when there are no structures around.

More so, I'm incredibly confused by "messing with the killers aim". What do you mean by this?

Do what you want. But don't expect survivors to give you a free sacrifice if you can't kill anyone during the match.
And don't expect gratitude from them. They might even insult you for giving the hatch.

Don't expect it, but understand that there are survivors out there that will take a hook for a killer who had a bad match. I have no problem in doing that, and I also give the hatch when I play as a killer. In either situation, I'm walking away with more than enough points, more than likely.

It's really easy to forget that there is a person on the other end of that connection, and this game can get really frustrating sometimes. You don't need that 4k, nor do you need to survive every match. Just go in, get your BPs and pips, and have a good time.

I´ve been insulted by survivors, because i gave a hatch to someone else.
Or because they thought that me passing 2 hooks and going straight for the hatch was a dumb mistake instead of intentional.

Trust me, I'm not trying to take away from anything you've experienced. I wasn't replying to you, more of adding to what you said. I should have made that clear.

These forums are probably one of the more truly "toxic" aspects of the community. Every post is just two hugboxes warring it out over who is in the right, and it seeps into the mindset of more and more people as they join. It's like a microcosm for identity politics. People just need to keep in mind that it's not every survivor, not every killer, and not every match.

Well , that depends on the license. For instance , the devs got the Leatherface license for free.

Ummm...pretty sure that's not true. You would have to show some type of proof to back that statement up.

One problem will be Leatherface and Bill, who dont have their respective nemesis. You could pair them together, but Left for Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre have nothing to do with each other. Maybe they are best left outside the system.

Bill is a PC exclusive, making it impossible to do. They would have to be omitted from it.

All in all, though, I think it's a really cool idea. It could make matches more interesting. My main concern regarding it is the possible increase in lobby dodges or disconnects, which is bound to happen.

Not targeted and persistent? When it's being done by survivors against the killer, then there is a target, and if they keep on doing it, then it becomes persistent. I'm not watering the definitions down, they are what they are. In general there are a lot of actions that are or can be considered cyberbullying and / or trolling, these actions can be of varying degrees - the word doesn't lose power just because that is added. By your logic, that would be same as saying the word "criminal" loses all meaning when it's said that there are various types and severity of crimes. Nothing is taken away from any victims, there are many different types and severities of cyberbullying, the victims of any cyberbullying action isn't any less a victim. What I am saying though that is that teabagging can be consider one of the cyberbullying actions that can be done towards others, where the severity (with limits) depends on how the victim perceives and interprets the action.

How does that make me sensitive just because I acknowledge the fact that it is such, I haven't said anything in regards to how I react if people subject me to that, because it doesn't get to me, but I know it gets to others.
..and it seems you don't really acknowledge that.

DbD not being competitive, well I disagree, it may not be par with certain other games, but it certainly is a competitive game, it's 4v1 game where you're competing to beat the other player(s) - it's competitive! Granted it's not an e-sport game (yet) - and you can't say those rules don't apply here, because who makes you the judge of that?

Does the survivor know the name of the killer before or during the match? No, they don't. So it is not targeted and persistent. The survivor is not teabagging you, they are teabagging the killer, which is just an avatar. They are not lobby hopping in order to find you and teabag you. They are not finding you on Facebook and sending gifs of them teabagging. They are getting a rise out of the nameless person controlling the killer. It is not targeted, not persistent, and not harassment.

This is what I mean by you being overly sensitive. You are assuming a personal attack when the person on the other end is not teabagging you. They are teabagging an avatar, whether that is a Nurse, Hillbilly, etc. They don't even know your name until the post-match screen. In addition, your statement about it being derogatory and "beyond human decency" shows exactly the level of sensitivity I'm talking about. Claiming it is "beyond human decency" is taking on a stance of authoritarian moralism and equating it to terrorism, #########, or murder.

I never said it doesn't get to people. Hell, it's gotten a rise out of me before. I'm not making that argument. I stated that it is obnoxious and immature.

See, here's the problem with this debate. I am not defending it on any level. I don't do it, and if you do it to me, you're getting hooked. What I am doing is making the argument that it is not trolling, per the definition, and it is not cyberbullying because (though it's really annoying) it is not targeted, persistent, and overtly malicious.

Regarding DbD not being competitive, it cannot be. There is way too much RNG that happens in the game for it to be competitive on any level. The generation of the map alone is enough to create an imbalance that will keep it firmly out of any e-sport. Never mind the other randomness of the game, as a whole.

They don't need to know the name of the killer before or during the match to target you, it doesn't have to be targeting you through your real or online identity, for it to be considered targeted - they're targeting the one in control of "the avatar", which is sufficient to consider it as targeted. And if they keep on doing it, then it's persistent, doesn't have to carry on to another match. They may not have have the name on the individual they're targeting and harassing, but it doesn't change their behaviour, and their intention behind the behaviour certainly also counts in regards to determining if it's trolling and/or cyberbullying to some extent.

I'm not assuming it's a personal attack, but it's not the killer they're trying to harass, it's the player behind it, and by extension, that means an attack on the player and NOT the avatar. So not it's not me who am being overly sensitive, I just acknowledge it for what it is, and that other folks have a problem with it, and the fact it's player they're trying to target, even when they're limited by the game's design to do this fully. Teabagging is beyond human decency if you go by what teabaggin is defined as when it's non-consensual, when carried out non-consensually in real life it actually, in some jurisdictions, is legally considered sexual assault or sexual battery.

So you're saying it's not trolling by definition, well that certainly depends where you read the definition and how you interpret it... A troll is a person who upsets people on the Internet, who distract and sows discord with the intent of provoking it's targets into displaying emotional responses. I would definitely say that those who're trying target the player through teabagging behaviour certainly has the intent to upset, provoke and sow discord in an attempt to trigger an emotional reaction. On the note of cyberbullying, "Cyberbullying or cyberharassment is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic means." Harassment, "Harassment covers a wide range of behaviors of an offensive nature. It is commonly understood as behavior that disturbs or upsets, and it is characteristically repetitive." - it is to an extent cyberbullying due to it being a form of harassment, as it can be persistent, which it usually is. Furthermore, trolling is more vaguely defined than actually is, and encompasses a lot more than how it is defined - its very abstract, trolling can be an act of harassment.

DbD is competitive, granted it's not an e-sport, but the doesn't mean it's any less competitive. It's very nature is competitive, the versus part also implies competition, the player rank system also encourages competitiveness. It's a competitive game, despite it's RNG elements and imbalances. Just because it's not an e-sport game doesn't mean it's not a competitive game.

GameSpot even said "Dead by Daylight executes the concept of a competitive horror game.

It is not the same person or group of people doing it every match. Again, you are stretching definitions to fit your perception, and doing damage to actual harassment victims. Harassment has to be persistent, by a specific person or group, against a specific target. Teabagging in a match does not qualify as harassment under any law.

Did you seriously just equate crouching repeatedly in a video game to sexual assault? You just keep proving my point over and over again. It's going too far with sensitivity. You may not be sensitive to it when it happens to you, but you are overly sensitive towards the concept as a whole. You're coming at this through a lens of morality. Morals are personal beliefs on right and wrong, and should not be pressed on anyone else.

You can literally make anything competitive going by that definition. Super Mario Bros. can be competitive because there's a two-player mode and a scoring system. What I am saying, is that in order for it to be considered a competitive game in the sense of an e-sport, it would need far more consistency and less randomness. Which is why I said it is more casual, as it cannot hit a level of consistency that would be required to ensure that matches were based purely on skill, and that there are no other factors.

Going back to map generation, generator placement alone could favor the survivors or killer in any given match. Just recently (within the past couple of weeks), Tru3 posted a YouTube video where he wound up with five generators located directly around the killer shack, which just happened to be where the basement is located. He talked about the placement through the majority of the video, and discussed the fact that the survivors could do nothing, because of simple randomness. He was able to camp the basement and monitor all of the gens simultaneously. At that point, the match stops being about skill. This game is far more casual than you're making it out to be. Those survivors did not stand a chance, no matter how high their skill level. This also happens to killers, where spawn and totem placement will screw them over before the match even starts.

Teabagging in gaming can be considered an attempt to humiliate, harass, provoke or bully another person, hence trolling and cyberbullying. Furthermore, the action is demeaning, derogatory and beyond human decency as it's based on the sexual act to teabag. There is a reason why it has led to high ranking players in other games to be temporarily banned for the action. Other game developers perceive it as an act of trolling, when for instance you have achievements with the naming Trolling and the act that nets you the achievement is teabagging someone. Furthermore, there are many different actions of varying degree that is considered cyberbullying.

It's not a targeted and persistent attack on a specific person, so it is not cyberbullying. Once again, please stop watering things down to suit your agenda/ideology. By adding "different actions of varying degrees" you make the word lose all power. It no longer has substance, and takes away from actual victims (because now anyone can claim they're a victim).

The only reason it could be considered trolling, again, is because of people like you who feel that they need to water down and change definitions. An insult is not trolling. Just because devs jokingly refer to it in an achievement does not make it a definition.

"Furthermore, the action is demeaning, derogatory and beyond human decency as it's based on the sexual act to teabag."

This statement is laughable. Do you see how overly sensitive you are being? It's just done to make you angry, that's all. And apparently it works like a charm.

"There is a reason why it has led to high ranking players in other games to be temporarily banned for the action."

In e-sports, yes, but not because it is cyberbullying. It would be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, just like in any other sport. But, seeing as this is not a competitive, e-sport, style game, and is way more casual, those rules don't apply here.

  • @Incarnate said:
But actually condoning trolling behaviour and cyberbullying? Well, it certainly gives their company name a different meaning! They shouldn't tolerate this kind of behaviour, as it's downright toxic to the gameplay, playerbase and community.

Teabagging is neither trolling or cyberbullying.

Is it obnoxious and immature? Yep, but it's neither of the two things you stated.

I usually wouldn't use Urban Dictionary as a reference, but the top definitions here are 100% correct:

    https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Trolling

And calling teabagging cyberbullying minimizes what actual cyberbullying is. When you water down definitions of words, they lose actual meaning and impact. Teabagging is not "an aggressive, intentional act or behavior that is carried out by a group or an individual, using electronic forms of contact, repeatedly and over time against a victim who cannot easily defend him or herself."

This watering down of definitions of words is exactly why identity politics have become so ridiculous in the west. Everything is racist, everything is sexist, everything is cyberbullying, etc.

It's just someone getting under your skin mid-match, more than likely to try and get you to do something rash that they can capitalize on. Keep your cool and you'll put them on the hook.

She is a base character everyone has her and placing 10 traps is to much in my opinion. I've never used her just from being killed every single game I have played against her. It is great to know some ways to battle back against her hexs. Still think she is OP. No other character has that power level except maybe the wraith and his still isn't as powerful.

The Hag is not a base character. You are playing on console, where some of the older DLCs were bundled into the main game. On PC, she comes in the "Of Flesh and Mud" DLC.

Anytime you come across a killer who seems overpowered, play as them. It's the fastest way to learn how to counter them, and you'll usually find out pretty quickly that the killer really isn't as powerful as you made them out to be initially.

This is a completely false statement. It was reported and discussed multiple times throughout the past ~30 years. The horror community has brought it up every time he makes a Jeepers Creepers film, including the first one. His films are usually protested or boycotted on some level.

Broad statements like this don't help arguments.

Not trying to be mean, but you don't know how character licenses work, do you? Thomas Harris created Hannibal Lecter, but he doesn't own the rights to the character and therefore receives no money if they choose to make more films. He also has no say in what they do with the characters. That's how licensing works. Licenses mean the person who makes the decisions about the property. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Victor doesn't own anything.

Victor Salva is more than likely the sole owner and creator of the series. He's the only constant in the production of the films, and he shops the films out to production companies when he writes a new one. He has directed every film, and is the only screenwriting credit on each one.

I don't care about what ANY streamer has to say. I hope DBD gets real competition. If i find i like the competition product better and it actual works i will jump ship to and with no fanfare.

The trap placement is for teleport mindgames, not camera flip mindgames. I highly doubt anyone thinks "oh if I place this trap here, the survivor's camera will turn in this way when theyre walking in this direction and they'll have a 10% chance of getting confused!" more than just threatening a teleport slap to shut down a loop.

The guide that made me decide to try out the Hag specifically pointed out the power of forcibly turning the survivor to face the trap when it's triggered. Intentionally making use of it is something I never would have thought of on my own, since I'm not a great player.

And if somehow you are calculating an entirely luckbased mechanic, congratulations, you must have 900IQ. I have to see the streams of these sick camera flip Hags.

This video is exactly what got me into playing the Hag. I don't know how many times I've watched it and picked up something new.

  • I had the same thing happen last night. I had no idea what was going on. Had a terrible match where I my screen was constantly stuttering, was teleporting out of buildings, couldn't do skill checks because the check would freeze intermittently, etc. After the match, my menus were skipping as well. Restarted the app and everything was fine.

I was definitely fiddling around in the shop prior to that match. Thanks for the info! :)

  • It's absolutely not going to happen any time soon. With the court case still active, nothing can be created with the license. The F13 game can't even have new content added.

That said, I agree completely with Shadoureon. Licensed killers are a waste of time and money. I'd much rather see more original content.

I know they said that they would get DLC out at the same time, but in this particular case it's not just DLC. This is a really big version update that changed a number of things, added two more characters, another map, an entire in-game shop, etc. If I read correctly in another thread, the Xbox update was 12GB, which is the size of the entire game. I'm not saying that it's 12GB of new content, but that's still a really large update to push through the certification process. The purchasable DLC is just a small key file that unlocks The Clown and Kate.

Again, they planned for this, and warned the community. They blatantly said that it would take around 2-3 additional weeks for console to get the update, and planned the re-opening of the shrine and the double bloodpoint weekend around that time frame.

I get people feeling left out, but everything points to BHVR planning for this delay and making it pretty obvious to the community that there would be one from the start. This is why, personally, I found the knee-jerk reactions to the delay to be ridiculous. It's not actually late until after the end of next week. Anytime prior to that is well within the time frame that BHVR stated.

When you look at the score screen for your pip, the bar will not reach the safety pip, but if you look at the text above, it will have a value of 0 instead of -1. You don't actually lose your pip.

I agree it's annoying that offerings are lost. Unfortunately, those get burned at the offering screen before the match loads.

Tied profiles is a problem, since console users can´t tie their profiles. Or can they?

I´m not sure about this one. If its possible, than that would be the best solution. Only real accounts.

That's a good question and hopefully a console user could shed some light on that. Perhaps @Jack11803 could let us know it is possible.

Bunge can tie console gt to their forums in destiny so I would think dbd devs would be able to also

Yeah, I have my PS4 account tied to plenty of other accounts (EA, Ubisoft, RockStar, ZOS, Bungie, etc). It's totally doable.

The update is late they said would all come same time, then they change the goal posts. Look at there plan also we have tournaments on all platforms which face it joke!! But even so pc can have new killer for it but console users no, n I know people wouldn't have used anyway but still it's a joke

It's not late, though. This has already been discussed ad nauseam. BHVR did state that the console release would take approximately 2-3 additional weeks due to the size of the update and Microsoft's and Sony's certification process.

It's currently week 2 since the release of the update on PC (June 12). The update shouldn't technically be considered late until the end of next week. If it takes longer than that, then I agree that something should be done by BHVR to accommodate for time lost. But until it's actually late, based on the timeframe that was stated by BHVR, then we just just need to show some patience.

Why do you think the shrine is closed until the 29th, and the double bloodpoint weekend isn't until July 5th? These dates are based on the need for an extra 2-3 weeks due to the certification process.

Microsoft certified the update, Sony has not. So, wouldn't this now be the fault of Sony for PS4 users?

They shouldn't need to rush anything it's called good planning, lots of other companies manage huge expansions which all come out simultaneously and like the person said before is it that hard to integrate changes such as shard cap removal? Not really at least then it means people can store up and get ready there main issue is the buy cosmetics store, I don't really care about paying them more money bring it out whenever they will still get money from people who want the stuff but they wont be mad if that's all they had to wait for.

    Yes, it would be.

    1. That would add a separate update that would need to be certified.
    2. They would then need to pull the original update that contains the cap removal, as it needs to be removed from the code, because it has been added as a separate update.
    3. They would then need to turn the update code back in, after the removal of that code, and restart the entire certification process.

This would cause the whole update to take far longer to get certified. We'd be looking at another 3 weeks to get the full update.

  • The full patch should be coming at the end of July, if they follow their 6 week plan. I believe they mentioned the PTB will be about 2 weeks before patch. So middle of July probably.

Yeah, I would start watching for info after the double bloodpoint weekend. Should start shortly after, if they are hitting their milestones.

As someone who worked in Q&A and auditing in the high tech industry for close to 5 years the posts here are both astounding in their intellectual dishonest and outright falsehoods. The way the games industry works (note having been a internal tester) goes idea, development and testing all internal. Then it goes through more internal testing before being tested by sneak peek testers who give feedback. Once they review all that it gets put on the PTB or PTR or w/e you'd like to call it for more of the same.

Then after they get as much data as possible they try and get rid of bugs they'er aware of and pull out stuff they can't fix or make work like they want. Once it goes live they get more testing done since there's always stuff that gets past testing, I mean look at EA and Blizzard etc and how often stuff that's horrendous gets by.
For the stuff they pull it goes back for more of the same internal pattern and for the stuff they find post release they add it to that internal testing.

About that claim the pc release has been out for 1 month BULLSHEET !!!!! The PTB being out isn't an actual pc release, that's why it's called a TESTING Build because it's where you test things. You had to download a seperate program in order to test it, nothing you earned there was transferable to your pc account. So stop lying with that line of crap, it's stupid.

Now for the console releases let this be plain and clear since the claims about this are beyond stupid and false.

THE Q&A AND AUDITING PEOPLE DON'T WORK FING WEEKENDS. IT'S BASICALLY A 9-5 TYPE THING Now if that isn't obvious enough since they don't work weekends it's why it's called business days. It's only been 10 business days not 2 weeks and so the console updates usually come out on the 12 or 13th business day.

This would align with being 2-3 days before the Shrine of Secrets is supposed to come back on the 29th. It's almost as if it's like the devs said that they expected the console release to take about 2 weeks. Which is why gasp the Shrine of Secrets was coming out almost exactly 2 weeks from when console would be out.

Now if it isn't out by this week then you have a reason to complain and if it's delayed and they don't say why complain away. If you want it faster than buy a pc or quit complaining and realize that everyone out there does this, console versions are almost always released later. That's unless it's a console release 1st then pc users usually WAIT MONTHS for a release.

You chose to go the console route and yes pc's are expensive but how much have you spent on those consoles hundreds of dollars or more in a short period of time? If you'd waited and saved money you'd have a pc and I've been in both Gamestop (haven't in a long time) and other places where I see console users plopping down $400-2k on consoles and or games at 1x.

Lastly yes it sucks pc's cost so much and that consoles screw you over a longer time period moneywise. But you have to decide what's more important, saving that money for something that'll get a quicker release? (pc's have been out longer so of course their stuff comes out quicker). It could be worse, you could be stuck with a Mac.

Thank you. This is exactly what I was saying.

And you butted into the thread just to tell the poster to shut up and stop being immature. If you dont agree with a post then ignore and move on, dont tell someone what they can say and cant say. And why are you even trolling people if you know about the business. If I found out who you are I would report you to your company for trolling and harassment. And I dont know what models your describing with your words but Production encompasses the whole process of development. Testing is only really done when the actually product hits the market and real world testing is done out in the field so yeah. Furthermore, design is module that is done waaaaay before anything else and also future design and development of the already finalized product. It sounds like your reading out a really old book from the 90's. Your trolling is an insult to everyone especially since you call yourself a good at this job person. Why the heck are you on here then ######### lol

This could be some of the most ignorant ######### I have ever read. You have zero understanding of what you are talking about, an utter lack of self awareness, and no comprehension of public forums.

You're not even using terms like troll properly. It's pretty sad.

Anyway, I wasn't trolling. Calling for a boycott is immature and ridiculous, full stop.

Even Elon Musk knows that by now. And not_queen herself in the most recent post said that they are using the PTB to publish new updates, so how the heck do you think that makes them very different things? lol

You can probably read but you sound like you have a big ego and it's causing something to get stuck up your butt. If the Devs themselves are apologizing because the update is LATE then it is actually LATE. If this is the kind of business your running you should get fired because you are unqualified. Expressing frustration and anger in this instance from players is totally acceptable and qualified.

The only thing here more ridiculous other than your two-bit opinion, is that they are shooting themselves in the foot considering they are boycotting themselves by not having released the update in a timely manner which would of been making them money. So on the console side they technically have been losing money since it did not launch on June 12.

Seriously whatever business your involved with you should get fired.

I should be fired because I understand that auditing and testing takes time and that a test environment and production environment are two separate things?

I don't care if you believe me or not, because reality proves you wrong on every conceivable level in this instance.

It will more than likely show up for consoles this week. Tomorrow night on PS4 would be my guess. I'm pretty sure that BHVR saw that coming as well, seeing as they have the shrine closed until the 29th due to the updates.

Apparently you can't read the chapter first came out on the ptb on the 29th. I was stating they should have instead released the chapter on ALL platforms at the same time(smaller patch) everyone happy. The ptb could have still been used to test the new chapter and store with console getting a later release and access to the store as that patch would've have taken longer.

I can read. I also have a very solid understanding on how these businesses work. To boot, I understand that the PTB and the actual release are two very different things.

Looks like we have one thing in common. We're both literate.

Getting all worked up when the update isn't actually late is a ridiculously immature and entitled thing to do. Trying to get other players to boycott is even worse.

Well, you have to admit, that the PC users can enjoy the Clown for almost a month, but console users are left out with no updates on this situation.

It's a very common practice in PC gaming. PTBs and PTS's are in a lot of games. Other communities don't make a huge fuss about it.

I'd rather know that we're getting a proper update on console, because of the PTB, than to get a bug-ridden update that went through zero rebalancing.

If we don't have it by the end of next week, then make a fuss. But, as it stands, it's only been ten business days (QA, testers, and auditors don't usually work on weekends).

You should be fired because your trying to sound smart by vomiting out unqualified facts that have no re-valence or truth to the post or situation, and ridiculing other players for stating their opinions at the same time.

First of all no one cares about how other games are developed, how common their practices are, and how other communities act. To that point when a community actually cares about the game they do make a fuss such as EA, and Destiny for example.

Second of all, production comes before testing and auditing, which to any simple minded monkey with a wrench can figure out, by the time they said it just needs to be approved by XBOX/ps4, they are already done with those modules. You haven't said anything that even comes close to you understanding how this business works. There is no way with a million hours of testing and auditing that your going to get a proper update UNTIL it is publicly released!

Lastly, what the heck do the QA, testers, and auditors have to do with anything when the game is already done and released on PC! YOU do not know how these business work at all Mr. Get that stick out your butt and get off your high chair. The excrement that is coming out your brain is irrelevant.

I didn't ridicule anyone, at least until I was told I couldn't read. Facts aren't insults. They're just facts.

Production comes last. Design, development, testing, production. It's pretty logical, honestly. Not sure why you are arguing with me.

Not BHVR's testers and auditors. Sony and Microsoft's. They do need to certify the update before release. That means they audit it and give it a pass or fail.

Apparently some new rumor is saying that Sony failed it for certification. I don't know if that's true or not, but that must mean that it was tested over a period of time, correct?

Please note that I have not insulted you once. You may want to reciprocate, and have a normal discussion.
  • This post is absolutely ridiculous. Just be patient. The team has been clear on the situation. No need for hissy fits.

We are not getting a proper update. PC is reporting all kinds of issues.

OK, but if they had rushed it out on console to match the PC release, it would have wound up worse for console.

Keep in mind that the console release was not originally planned, and only happened because of people asking about it week in and week out. It's a pretty shoddy port, to be honest, and if they did rush things out to it, it would be in a really broken state.

All I'm saying us that a little more patience is worth it. I'm really willing to put money down that it is going to drop very soon.

I'm sure we are getting it this week too maybe tomorrow who knows. They had 5 months between chapter releases. Come on at some point stop making excuses for BHVR. When has any patch release not broke something else. We could have handled it we always do. Do you remember the hook lag bug? The game was almost unplayable if you got caught by the killer. I'm on PS4 and not Xbox but i have heard some complain certain maps are unplayable. This has nothing to do with not having patience it is about making sure BHVR knows we are not pleased and will make it known through them not making the money they expect. We are 2/3 of the community. PC came first and may have helped fund the game to move to console. Console has had a lot to do with the game growing and more chapters added and even this new store. Money is Money no matter where it comes from if they want CONSOLE MONEY THEY NEED TO TREAT CONSOLE EQUALLY.

I don't think me saying the port is shoddy is defending BHVR. I'm saying I'd rather know the update isn't going to make the game unplayable, which could happen if they rushed it, because the port is shoddy.

  • Yeah, it'll probably hit the PTB in mid-July and get released towards the end of July. That would be about 6 weeks past the 2.0.0 release for PC.

  • I don't remember where I initially heard about it, but I pre-ordered it and played during the beta. Played for awhile at launch, as well, but stopped playing not too long after SWF was introduced. Not because of SWF, but because of life being life.

I recently started playing again on the PS4 to spend time with a friend of mine in the US, as we don't get to hang out anymore (I moved to Europe).

This is where YOU are wrong, kiddo. The Nightmare is from the 2010 A Nightmare on Elm Street, so the events of the other ANoES movies are irrelevant.

First off, don't call me kiddo. I'm probably old enough to be your father. Two, please re-read the statement I replied to:

"In the movies you always had to have a friend wake you up and this should mirror that cannon."

Oh look! That says MOVIES. So, I was not wrong, based on the statement I was replying to. It doesn't matter if the Freddy in the game is based on a garbage remake. The statement was based on the canon of the film series, as a whole, and they were wrong.

  • Ping speed doesn't measure connectivity. It helps in measuring latency.

You can have a perfectly good ping speed, which means you will have very little lag, but if your connection gets cut for a couple of seconds, you will disconnect.

You could be having an issue with faulty network cables, or if you are using wireless, a spotty WiFi connection. Start simple and work your way up. Try replacing the cable from your PC/console to your router, to start, and see if the issue persists.

Injuries happening from self-care skillcheck fails are far more in line with the film's canon.
