think some people are trying to stretch the meaning of "holding a game hostage" this applies to things like trapping a survivor in the corner where the game cannot actually be ended. Anything within the end game collapse is fine it has a timer anyways ending the game regardless of what your doing.

Couple games now I’ve had the Killer DC after all 5 gens get done. Goes to the final screen, and I see I got 0 BP for that entire game. I asked the other survivors and they said they got 0 as well. When you go to the Scores part everyone has a score of like 15-20k etc but the bloodpoints weren’t earned. On top of that we all had lost our items. Is this a new thing Or is it a bug? Cuz if so it’s highly unfair that because the killer raged we get no points. What sucks to is I just had a game where I offered an Escape Cake and someone used Party Streamers and they both went to complete waste because the killer DCd at the end.
they're fixing this on the current PTB

Basically, shards 100% do glow, but you have to be so close to the Spirit you are dead regardless. Animation resets rarely occur in tandem with the power, but they do sync up perfectly when they do. Hair physics rarely glitches out, but occurs in tandem with the power when they do. Basically, everything is completely inconsistent.
may just be coincidence but at 5:30ish in your video when shes wearing the school girl outfit it looked like her headband lit up instead of the shards

GF should not be able to enter stealth while in a chase, and should not be able to enter stealth 10 seconds after either (to counter people who would drop, enter stealth then chase again)
so a killer shouldn't be allowed to use their power in a chase? SMH

Yeah, but I mean the majority it seems.
Hard to really make that assertion when it comes to game forums. Wouldn't be surprised if only 20% of the player base even has a forum account. Vocal minority is always going to be huge on forums because a few people raging over something can make it seem like a bigger problem than it is.(seen it a ton of times in WoW)
I've heard this before in the format of "survivors keep complaining about something that doesn't need to be fixed but the devs will listen cause of the crying". Just saying forums activity doesn't make a good metric.
*forgot to add I've been playing since june of 2016 and I have 49 posts. I play this game alot so forum activity can't be inductive of the majorities wishes.
-
glad I found this thread now I'm gonna wait till they fix it almost bought it too
-
you could have it go up by a % per dead survivor left this way its scales by situational difficulty
-
yeah can see this going bad fast "oh look hope and adrenaline proced at the sametime woop" back to full health from basically dead
-
Would like for one company with a battlepass to just disable the ability to skip levels. I guess some people who have the money to blow don't care but it feels like the equivalent of buying a skip in a singleplayer game to beat it.

Yeah. Maybe they could use the rift and added challenges as incentive. DC and lose progress on the rift. DC too much and be locked out of it for a while.
I still don't know how to prevent hook abuse tho
can't really prevent it otherwise if BHVR had an issue they would remove the ability to try to escape off hook yourself and remove the ability to struggle on 2nd phase to stop deaths
-
I came back after taking a 2 week break and was really suprised every single game I was in with a friend the first person who got downed would insta disconnect. Was pretty suprising and ruined the game pretty much from that point on
-
you would have to buy another one when the next season starts like with most other games with battle passes. You could save the cells you get from completing the premium pass to buy the next one though
-
I can see it now *picks up survivor over and over* "come here #########!"x10 the new killer teabag 😂

I find its funny that if you have a bad match as other Killer, most you get will be "ezzz, noob, useless..."
But if you have a bad match as Nurse, most you get will be "gg"
I guess Survivors respect bad Nurse, but salty over good Nurse
funny thing is I had the opposite people were bullying a baby nurse. I warned them to watch the ######### talking cause once a baby nurse gets good they'll remember how they were treated when learning

clown gets a new turkey outfit while throwing drumsticks instead of bottles that make gobble noises

The idea was toyed around for survivors awhile back, but killers got up in arms about it. They don't want solos to be brought up to swf level, they want swf to be brought down to solo level so they can more easily stomp survivors.
I play both the only thing I would potentially change is make it an icon if the killers still there instead of the reading aura to atleast not give people a heads up as to WHERE hes going but just if he is or isnt there
-
think having kindred built in would solve alot of the camping issues. It would atleast balance out the solo survivors having no idea if they should go for the save or just stay on gens. It's not like you can communicate with them. This would deter killers from sitting at hook because it would be painfully obvious

This is supposed to be a PvP game. So I can absolutely use the properties of a PvP game in order to make claims about this game in particular.
Wincons are required for PvP as an inherent property of what PvP is. Not having a wincon makes something not PvP even if it otherwise would be, and having a wincon can make an otherwise PvE game become PvP even with identical mechanics.
Mario maker is a good example of that in action.
Wincons are not required for it to be considered "PvP" as long as their are two sides fighting that are human its player vs player. I'm saying you cant compare this to games like csgo where it literally goes "terrorist/counter terrorist win" or battlegrounds in wow where it says "alliance or horde wins". You can have wincons in PVE games (like beating the game?) I think you're implying the PVP/PVE the wrong way since wincons don't define those two categories. Take sea of thieves its a pvp game but their isnt a true win condition because you can literally respawn and go after the person who sunk you with no penalty. Nothing in that game says "you win" but its still pvp.
-
best two killers in the game are female worst one is a fat obese man with finger obsessions dont think the gender balance is skewed against the female roster :p

You should care because the idea of a wincon is more important than you are giving it credit.
In any PvP game a wincon is required in order for the players to have a thing to compete in.
A wincon is also the basis for both strategy and balance and without a wincon both of those are both meaningless and impossible.
Since Balance is inherently tied to the wincon that means you need to design everything with that wincon in mind. If you change the wincon without changing the mechanics then you will end up with vestigial mechanics that just get in the way of the experience.
So you should care and I do care because those wincons influence both how players act and how the devs make changes on a fundamental level.
can't really compare this to "any" pvp game, it's had balance issues since release because of the vague line with a "wincon". I shouldn't have to care about winning because you feel its important, at the end of the day if I had fun is more important then having the highest score in "this" game. I've won super frustrating games and I've lost really fun games....guess which one I care more about. Obviously you need to be told you won because that's super important to you and some people, just like their are alot of us who it isn't important.
They've talked about balancing perks by how "fun" they are to use and have completely reworked perks.
-
its a pretty stupid thing to debate about why would I care if someone says I lost but I feel like i won because of my own standard. Like everyone says theirs no "defined" win condition its not as simple as sacrificing or escaping because you can still depip if you only focus exclusively on that. I agree with the "its a win if I had fun" because with all the toxic dingbats trying to ruin games for people its a treat to have a game thats a good cat & mouse game and a few ggs at the end.
-
I dunno sometimes I feel like alot of swf teams fall for their own weaknesses i.e always hook charging for a save but the swf who know what their doing like seal team 6 are scary
-
I'm pretty casual with this game and my first thought wasn't "how dare it not take my schedule into consideration". If its not for you don't buy it, you know how many things I've missed out on in games over the years working? that's just life. This just feels like the result of "everyone gets a trophy" mentality."well its not my fault I didn't have enough time to practice like the other team so I deserve to feel victory too!" If you don't like it speak with your money and don't buy it.
Yeah I plan on buying it, its pretty cheap and I probably won't finish it but I'll earn some of my cells back plus some cool trinkets and you won't hear me crying about not having enough time.
-
shouldn't be restricted from perks because people are exploiting communication to ruin a perk on purpose

I mean, like Peanits said its not. And it makes sense why its not, why would you want a Killer to have no counter to their passive ability? Plus Spine Chill and Premonition is pretty niche outside of people who don't want to get jump scared... that's the only Survivors I see using it.
Spine Chill and Premonition don't really stop a Killer from sneaking up on a Survivor anyways, it just makes it a bit harder. It's better this way, i'd trade Spine Chill and Premonition over OoO any day, one can be worked around while the other was impossible to play against as Myers and even Ghost Face when Night Shroud was active...
Literally... having the Survivor see you behind a 6 inch wall on a loop isn't fun, and makes it almost impossible to even mind-game them. You either brute force it through all the loops which is hard enough as a M1 Killer, or you give up and let them do gens solo which will cost you a lot in the long run...
I run it not for the jump scare protection but when you combine it with urban evasion you get a nice headstart to crouch away. Honestly 9/10 times it works and im not found just to go back on my gen when they peace out lol
-
ah there you go and hes actually wearing hospital gown too did no one else remember this from #4?
-
@Tucking_Friggered said:
The William Shatner mask is all Myers ever wore.
not exactly he did wear this for a time #4 i believe it would of matched the hospital outfit a bit better imo
-
making kindred baseline would be useful imo then solo players dont need to "communicate" and you don't have 3 people all running at a hook like dingbats can even hide someone in a chase to make it a little more fair to the killer
-
just had an exhaustion bug where dead hard didnt actually give the i frames. My friend got stuck in a perm sprint burst for some reason in the same game
-
Me like many have all the dlcs up till now over the 3 years. Unless the game is constantly bringing in new players they aren't making any money at all after the purchases of the dlc. (which has been heavily discounted multiple times already). The battle pass is completely optional I mean would it make everyone happier if we never got anything but dlc killers to buy where you feel like you have to for the good perks?
This is a step in the right direction where I dont feel like I "have" to buy something to feel competitive with everyone else. I mean if you can't buy the 10$ battle pass then you obviously don't spend the 10$ per cosmetic outfit so it shouldn't really matter either way.
-
noticed on plague I was having corrupt landing issues. I'm from east coast usa and was getting matched to the dedicated server in eu im assuming ping was about 145ms. I would hit them with it on my screen but they wouldn't take damage at all or get sick and then other times they wouldnt get hit till after I was already done puking
-
I'd assume it be like the pc where you have to unlock their teachable versions at 30,35,40 before they would appear on other killers blood webs

That's beside the point. Abuse doesn't define people and it's a ######### thing to say.
if we were talking about someone real then ok, but its a story no need to get so uppity over it

Run Dying Light with Thanatophobia, Sloppy Butcher and PGTW. Use those perks on Freddy with the Swing Chains and Jump Rope addons. Near 100% decrease in healing speed and over 50% decrease in repair speed.
are percentages additive or multiplicative for dbd?

Pursuing Jason seems like a waste of resources to me.
Another reason to compare dbd to f13. Wouldn't be very interesting in my opinion.
We need Mrs Trunchbull to teach these toxic Survivor children a lesson. Put them in the Chokey and leave them there.
ahahahha a killer from Matilda be hilarious

Think alot of that has to do with the killer being the host also, I've been wailed on when i was already starting my run from the otherside of the windows a few times

I definitely agree with the fact that many people automatically assume SWF is OP because of comms. Completely dismissing the skill level of the player, which is more valuable than knowing where you are hiding your hex totem.
I would rather 1000x play with someone Halfway competent and I would gladly sacrifice the comms.
Thing is People who play in survive with friends, are more often than not... doing it because they want to play with their friends and not because they think it’s an advantage... Not every SWF goes into a match as coordinated and Ready to sweat as some may think.
100% agree I play with a few friends and its only because we want to play together and were sick of the survivor rando dwights who try to play locker roulette till hatch spawns while your repairing gens and doing objectives till the killer finds you
-
Honestly knowing your playing against a SWF put me in the advantage a few times. I know they'll be super saving their friends or atleast be hanging in an area. Snowballed a team with plague and infectious fright because most of the time they have a little buddy hiding near by ready to play hero :p

@Boosted_Dwight wouldn't say no one, glad my ear drums don't have to get destroyed anymore

@se05239 said:
It has been a suggestion since Plague's PTB.
Being only broken doesn't matter much too experience survivors, so they'll just keep repairing without a care in the world. There needs to be more downsides to being fully infected.
They should have repair inefficiency also while infected to atleast punish that way of playing
-
my first interaction with the double bp weekend was the killer and 3 survivors farming me off the hook then talking crap after the game lol
