I am a firm believer that Ghoul doesn’t need nerfs.
Ghoul gets a free injury and has good mobility, but he needs an m1 down.Don’t hold W, that’s what Ghoul counters, just get as much use out of a loop as possible.
I'm of the same opinion. only problem is that there seems to be a divide between mobility killers like Ken and Blight and then everyone else. the pallet density update is what was needed for Ken but then you have worse killers who can't play with that many pallets. I feel we are in a struggle of getting the balance right. are we balancing the game for Ken bring the average killer, or Trapper?
a lot of my frustrations eith Ken came from the dead zones and inability to use anything.

Both DayZ and Minecraft have "experimental" game versions on Xbox for testing things out, and I bet the PlayStations have something similar. It can certainly be done just requires the time and resources. I think they focus on Steam for the PBT because it's easier and familiar.
I'm reminded of a few PTB's back where they tested out what seemed like a hundred proposed changes, and believing more eyeballs & trials might have helped further point out what players were saying about those changes.
This 2v8 PTB with its lengthy killer queues again brings up the need for more broader participation. How many on Steam that can do the PTB actually do? A fifth? And how long to they play it? A day and a half? Less even?
I think pubg had one too, unless I was thinking dayz
bf4 had public test server too, it's still on my download list
-
can killers type in pre game lobby? if not, that may explain why. I'm sure some people only want to face the new killer, but if you could plead your case I'm sure some may be open minded but otherwise they may think you're trolling like the infamous Ptb Clown
-
yeah, vision and mobility are king in this game. While he has had many adjustments to make him more powerful, such as having his sensitivity changes to allow consoles to play him, even the dbd king himself The Blight suffered from having a crotch cam.
-
vecna sounds too much like PJ Heywood rn lol it's throwing me off
-
not a killer rate, but when Vecna 1 came out I went on about a 42 win streak. I was just using flavour builds for the first twenty when I noticed I had just never lost and wanted to see how far I could take it. I've never casually swept like that before. I got humbled playing Ghoul

Nerf Ghoul into oblivion.
He's nothing but a money grab.
He's the only killer that is not a an actual "killer".
He's an anti-hero.
Fortnite garbage in dbd.the killer/survivor dichotomy isn't black and white. we all know Ken isn't a killer, that's just the licence holder being cool. yknow, unlike Freddy/Michael/Pinhead licences.

Public test servers have never been a thing on console for any multiplayer game yet, I'm pretty sure. Only PC has the proper infrastructure for it. So if they expand PTB it'll only be to EGS, which doesn't really matter.
as an Xbox player i can tell you this is not true.
-
maybe. I got thinking about PH myself, as I was thinking Vecna kinda feels like a limited range tank, where anything in his range is in danger. if either of these killers never miss the end result seems almost the same.
we will have to see if Circles are better than rectangles.
-
for fans of distortion, Eleven is gonna be super popular ain't she? if I'm reading it right, she has an elusive effect when she's using her aura reads? are we back, bois?

Yet it works alot more.
Perks that got nerfed over heavy backlash :
Shoulder the burden, fog-vials, wake up.
wicked got a rework due to the many complains.
At this point we tried to be constructivey but it should take 9 months to make one killer who recently came out not frustrating to play against.
what happened to wicked? is it not the same its always been? I didn't realize anybody other than me used it
-
what's the question, exactly? sorry, I haven't seen the ptb footage yet; are you saying Vecna is good for sniping through walls? if so, Unknown should be a good cheaters killer but I haven't seen that.
-
imagine those poor Ghouls if they had to deal with a fog vials "meta". good thing we saved them the frustrations of survivors having fun.
-
did you have this post pre baked in the oven? because the survivor perks don't look that terrible.
-
will any amount of nerfs kill the Ghoul complaints? even if he is Skull Merchant'd people will still hate him.

Scene partner can be good in chase, but yeah, I don't use it anymore. It shouldn't be able to innterupt actions. Too many times I've been going for a hook save and I scream mid-save like a dumbass.
just don't look at the killer

its the only way i can get chased by girls
I think the last time I was being chased by a Sable and Mikaela I genuinely blushed. I'm not used to people wanting my attention

scene Partner is just asmr
ever hear the saying "don't look a gift survivor in the mouth?" well, i forgot to take that advice. each new survivor i get, I get them to open up like I'm a doctor and they go "aaaah" as I check to make sure they are healthy.
I've used this build way before anybody did, back when people were disrespecting Nic Cage. Funnily enough Steve was my first patient, but I can confirm Lisa probably has the healthiest set of lungs in the game.and Sheva.I wish I had the Alan Wake dlcs:(
-
I'm still waiting for Springtrap x Ghoul 2v8 teamup
inb4 Ghoul is bad and I should feel bad, Ghoul in 2v8 is more tame than Legion.
-
I'll give you the best night of your life if you don't mind a lil Rancor Noed slipping in there shame to see matches are still like this
-
seeing as how I always play around Zombies on RPD even when I just disarmed a Trapper trap, honestly why not?
-
the corn ought to give the Elusive effect while one marinates in it I say. Just for the memes
-
Myers, Cenobite, Plague. I promise I don't play Myers, I just needed double iris for the Myers play style.(RIP). Peak MfT era broke me and drove me to the edge of insanity. if Survivors wanted to be injured then they could spend the whole match healthy >_>
-
it woulda been fog vials, but I won't even start the year being a negative Nancy.
I do like the hook count and Springtrap. the loot bag gives me much joy.

Ill give it a go!
I haven't played Fredster in a while, but I was using All Shaking Thunder pretty religiously I can confirm that extendo lunge Freddy is fun. Freddy can charge it while teleporting

I miss my 24/7 toba :(

@ReverseVelocity said:
it has never once helped me
It's probably helped you many times. Aim Dressing is one of those features that is only visible when it breaks.
If it didn't exist then lunges would slide off of Survivors by default. You'd have to let go of M1 at precise moments instead of it hitting automatically.
all it does for me is kill the Spirit :(

And the idea a perk should be deleted because someone 'doesn't' bring it is absurd.
And its not refusal to engage the killer, its trying to stay alive, which is one of the survivor goals. If the killer is running around trying to find players, seems like it's doing its job nicely. Which means its time to nerf the ######### outta it.
survivors can't have nice things. but it's a good thing we have people to tell us what's in survivors best interests.
I prefer object but distortion is what kept my friends playing the game lol. id rather put up with the perk if it meant my casual friends don't get destroyed in the loading screen.
-
I just assumed we only post here after losing a match
-
she needs sound, but she also loves grass. only person to like grass more than me, even though I never touch grass.
give all maps in dbd grass and Spirit will feast. I daresay she likes grass more than Trapper. is that a controversial thing to say?
-
seems like a solid build if you play around it. I use these types of builds on Cenobite sometimes but didn't think to use it on Doc. I never play Doc, but I wish I did because he's always been a lucky menace for me.

You had more fun skipping three hooks and get insta killed. You're right that is sad. Bro you are the kinda player Bhvr should never listen to. Old tombstone was obnoxious as hell.
that's just classic, old F13 gameplay lol. Different strokes for different folks.

I like it with Invocation:Bird is the Word my only problem is that No Mither is a giant tell. hmmm where did the broken Taurie Doom go? surely not the basement xD

I wont say that Spirit is not balanced, but if you take 4 really good survivors even nurse is balanced.
Which killers are balanced in your opinion? I would say Artist, Oni, Plague etc are in a good spot (and that makes half the cast too weak) and Spirit is a bit ahead of them.
spirit used to be my most hated killer when she had 0 counterplay in her kit and also had busted numbers. Compared to before she is quite healthy and balanced, as long as you aren't hearing impaired. the audio cue addition as well as toning down her numbers have made her able to be outplayed by survivors and has less mobility for map traversal.
imo Xenomorph, Cenobite, Unknown, Animatronic and Vecna are what I'd consider balanced.
-
It's a bit of a chicken and egg thing, but I feel the prevalence of auras only reinforce pre running. auras and exhaustion are basically what the games boiled down to.
-
@Philscooper said:
Like distortion. If the killer isnt running aura perks.
its a empty perk slot.
but it now being a general perk, its unlikely it will ever get a buff.
not true; no value is inherently value unto itself be ause that is surefire knowledge.

spirit could go beast mode if I could turn off chase music and aim dressing. plz I am tired of chopping wood. it bugs me on spirit in particular because she's balanced now so she doesn't have time for things like waiting she has to pounce like a kitty cat so survivors can't react fast enough

It's been sweaty as both roles. I've barely touched it. I'd like to, but there's really no reason to choose it over regular mode unless I want to be spammed by snowballs during chase.
I think i genuinely had more fun the first year we had the snowmen when they were incredibly OP and invalidated Ghostface/Twins
at least the OP snowmen made for legit slowdown because who doesn't want to horse around in them?
-
I've never seen ST, so I won't stick my opinion where it won't belong; Yoichi was my favourite character from Ringu, and he's like a 1st grader and imo his inclusion to DbD was pretty based. When it comes to licences, they usually have good taste. They have my vote of confidence from Ringu, Silent Hill and Tokyo Ghoul to make tasteful and respectful choices
-
I think its hard to give a definitive answer, so I plead the fifth.
it's easy to say Trapper is the worst but he has unwinnable and unrecoverable game states.
-
I consider myself an equal opportunity killer..are kids even that big of a deal? to the average gamer, at least.

Idk I think the most important thing on uknown way more than any build (perks and addons) is to never miss if you can or you will play as harmless. I ran mostly pain res, pop, nowhere to hide and unforseen (still wont help you if you miss and dont get those downs for regression but thats more the flaw of this killer than the builds fault).
it almost sounds facetious, but yup; just never miss.
I personally swear by Monitor and Abuse, or at least I did. I admit I haven't played unknown since Monitor got changed. my favourite perks on him are Unforeseen+Nowhere to Hide but Unforeseen doesn't stop the constant pre running as consistently.
-
I enjoy being able to be a nice, wholesome killer by bringing rancor+ noed; i don't need to tunnel if I'm practically guaranteed a 2k every match. perfectly balanced games. I hope bhvr can encourage not tunneling in a way that feels satisfying and not just playground rules
-
I'm always down for being encouraged to fo other things. I enjoy cenobite boxes, Alien turrets, fnaf cameras, etc.
