Last time they tried compensating for individual offerings it got messed up horribly and some people weren't properly compensated, so flat BP is what we do now.

losing Myers is a huge blow to the genre. Michael Myers has been the face of asymm genre since at least the mid 2000s as far as i know

3 releases per year the player base would get bored.
new stuff like the fog vials got me excited to play again. then the nerfs made me go back to rivals.
we don't need dlc but it seems nobody is interested in retention. Just consume the newslop and get out, see you in 3 months.

Not all killers were "viable" here like yeah legion and doc with their build in tracking were good but nemi was bad because if he whiped survivor he basicaly lost them in 95% of time automaticaly or some top killers were bad (which maybe want that bad) like nurse was worst for 100% because she was loud and couldnt get you with blinks becauswe everywhere was darkness and nurse must see where to blink, spirit give herself up by sound when phasing so easy to doge, dracula was top with wolf because of his tracking injured survivors and other of his abilities were good to, billy was super hardcore or bubba (but billy way more) becouse you didnt saw some progress bars such as gens or off killer powers like billys saw progres bar etc..
Hag was straight nightmare as jumpscare tbh and fun and ghostface was pretty fun too, dreadge was only less interesting because his nightfalls darkness was just there all the match (but still interesting killer but back then he made that turky sound for long distance and wasnt so quiet as now so he was very bad in this mode too), wraith was just pure classic and gold to play as etc..
Nemesis actually had some meta value in Lights Out due to the coughing. if you are good at the whips the survivors would be permanently coughing.

Despite their nerfs I still enjoy fog vials. I like the explosion lol
I like to immediately rip it when I load in and say "killer cant see our auras guys"

Let's be honest, MMR isn't a thing. This game favors queue times over all else. People just convinced themselves MMR was real because they needed an excuse for losing. "I lost because I was put in the wrong MMR".
yeah, real mmr matchmaking was scrapped because people like Dowsey had 2 hour wait on Twins.
I feel like people have forgotten that survivor games uses to take 10 minutes at night back in 2021-2022. id be fine waiting for quality matches

poor fog vials :(

Plague with iri seal+ prayer tablet
"kaneki gets a free hit!" well allow me to introduce myself. my builds corrupt, mindbreaker, tinkerer, surge. All gens start puked. you can't finish any gen without me knowing. and when you try, you are broken and exhausted and I'm about to get my red puke. Constant 1 shots make Surge super nuts
I don't need mobility because the survivors have to interact with my trapped gens.

From what I remember it was pretty unpopular. I don’t think there are enough people who want it back for it to happen again.
because bhvr allowed 2 killers who by design are incompatible with Lights Out; Doc and Legion.
they violated the spirit of the mode so they never should have been allowed. if you love Legion that much you woulda been fine being a Trapless Trapper but they didn't do that.

Interestingly, a majority of perks could have their values buffed and they'd remain relatively fair to play against but BHVR enjoys handicapping and/or using safe values for most of them.
For example, Better than New could be at 30% since Leader's condition barely exists and is double the value of current Better than New…
Other examples I'd like to see:
- Rapid Response | Increase aura duration from 2 to 4
- Invocation: Treacherous Crows | Increase aura duration from 2 to 4
- Blood Pact | Increase haste from 7% to 10%
- Self - Preservation | Increase range activation from 16m to 24m
- Cut Loose | Increase window activation from 6 sec to 10 sec
if treacherous crows removed its TR requirement I would break down crying and never take it off.

Alucard had the same bug lmaoo

a lot of perks require synergy, which you just don't get in Shuffle. Shuffle boils down to getting "4 good perks.exe"
it's nice to see niche perks like Wicked have some value even if you "fail" to achieve their conditions.
-
I just don't understand; dbd is their golden goose, and they employ hundreds if not over a thousand people. where is the sense of urgency for job preservation? I'd be rolling out the red carpet and offering foot massages for all of 2026

I remember someone hypothesized a Jaws chapter with this concept and people liked it. 🦈🌊
I think there was an issue with performance though? Like, nobody was confident that BHVR could implement partially flooded realms without causing FPS drops.
now that we have more than 2 zombies, maybe BHVR cracked the code

maybe they spot you on a recent players list for console?

It has changed over time. I used to favor killers with more skill-expressive powers. That was back when I could play the game for 20+ hours a week.
I focus more on macro oriented killers now. Condemned Onryo, Knight, Trapper, etc. The game sense never really leaves you, and I don't have to worry about honing power mechanics. I often do better with them than I do with more mechanical killers anymore.
you dabble in Legion or Vecna at all? their killer instinct reveals make me play for the macro

Lights Out mode was my favorite. Really wished they bring it back again instead of the non stop back and forth between 2v8 and Chaos Shuffle.
Lights Out really had that thrill and vibe that horror games are suppose to have and Xenomorph was the best killer in the roster to face. Being completely black made her really hard to see but survivors have the flame turrets as their only warning the killer is nearby. If they do bring it back I would highly recommend at least banning Ghostface, Myers and Dredge from that mode as they can highlight survivors completely ignoring what the game mode suppose to give.
I've found my people! lights out xeno was peak! I made sure to equip the Blight skin to terrifying people!
add Legion and Doc to the mix they also should not work due to normal TR interactions
-
it bothers me that we live in an era of dbd where we have obscene aura reading but we never undid the nerf to Demogorgon.
Demo was too much but Weave is totally OK.

they need to add vaulting to both side in MLO since if you drop a pallet then you are screwed)
I found it pretty fun that you couldn't. I feel it forced us survivors to squeeze maximum value out of every pallet. it was good practice for the regular mode.
I feel regular dbd sometimes suffers from pre drop and hold w, but you can't do that there. you have to play the pallets super tight.

now that the AoT licence is back i would love nothing more than to be able to use a skin on Oni in this mode! heck, make it 1v8 while you're at it! step on everything!

Unknown being the first one to say goodbye is just the BHVR forum special, huh.
I feel similarly as you do Jester but it's always sad to see a steady personality leave. I hope 2026 will be kind to you.
What are you going to do now? Deadpool drops this Friday on Rivals
-
I wish people gave MLO a chance. I swear people just refuse to read and then got upset that they didn't read.
a good team was basically a guaranteed 1 kill only for the killer.
-
it's a known fact that the people who waste people's time to imitate SA against people who are incapable of reacting are the first and loudest to complain here about toxic survivors.
negativity begets negativity
-
her body gore just clashes with my buzz; at least Cenobites pins seem therapeutic if you see pain as pleasurable.

Maybe I just watch a lot of streamers with an affinity for the Xenomorph!
he is a ton of fun to face, which is sad that it's hard to convince people to play them. turrets are fun!

Justice for fog vials!

a list would be nice I'm surprised there isn't

I liked Lights Out (the first iteration, not the second). They should delete the candelabras and let Survivors see the auras of gens.
I'm also still waiting for the 5v5 mode, where is it??
whats wrong with the candelabra? they are just super cozy and warm. plus uou can wave them in each others faces. you can completely ignore them if you want.
-
lights out with the candelabra with no legion/doc was a ton of fun! that is how solo q dbd should feel like
I like my little oni though. it's a survivor juicer paradise. if you are "like an ayrun" you should appreciate this mode. my friends hated it though because they read "can't vault" and then immediately try to vault then die, then say the mode sucks. it's obvious who was playing and didn't even read the event modifier.
-
I go in pretty open minded. for skull merchant I appreciated how she was very quiet. for vecna and Legion i like how macro minded their powers are with killer Instinct.
for ghoul I like to scream really loud while drinking coffee irl.
I like survivors that make funny noises
-
the hook works like that because I ruined it. I'm sorry guys.
for real though, finding hooks is too easy as a Pyramid player. Just walk up to survivors to kill them in the cage because nobody will make it to the new unhook. too easy to game.
-
demo got more attention when another alien killer released lol
yeah I'm still a bit bitter about that coincidence. demo got left alone for a long time, then I go to play Demo for Alien release for memes and then he gets his best addons gutted
-
I can't help with basic/general builds. I also don't play Doc often, like once every few months. but I typically have good luck on him.
I made this build purely for flavour. for addons it's just range+ detonation delay with Starstruck,Agitation, Iron Maiden, Surge.
the idea is to just be confident and rely on your own intuition and hurt people with Starstruck. Lack of info is OK with doc. This build loses harder to Calm Spirit, but you will scream no matter what. either expose from Starstruck or expose from iron maiden. if you're decent at the shock power this build can snowball pretty quickly
-
a good doc should make you feel utterly helpless. the kind you killer you have to beat in terms of macro.
most docs are beginners, though. or the Dunning Kruger type. I think the pre run+aura gameplay of modern dbd isn't doing him many favour's.
-
too balanced. people don't wanna play a killer that pre warns survivor to encourage pre running, and people don't wanna give survivors an effective Sprint Burst as turrets are chase killers.
it's sad because they are the right power level. When Lights Out was around I was insisting they were the most fun killer to face in that mode(I played it as a favour to survivors being bullied by legion)
-
as a yugioh players lemme tell ya, people Do. Not. Read.
I legit had a twitch streamer call me a hacker in game saying demo is a hacker and then immediately leaves the lobby without checking perks and addons.(I had leproseLichen)people just want to react and not follow up on it.
anybody who walks the path of self improvement will withhold such accusations because at the very least, checking kits is the bare minimum.

It always does make me wonder what type of killer these types of players want to go against.
- They complain about the macro gameplay map control killers like skull merchant and knight and sadako (who then gets nerfed and reworked 10 times).
- They complain about anti-loop killers and ask BHVR to stop making those.
- They complain about the anti-shift+w killers like ghoul and blight and complain about those.
- They complain about stealth and hit and run style killers like wraith.
Like legit, at this point what type of killer do you want to play against? Because at this point it seems like you don't want to play against any of them.
it always saddened me that killers like xeno, ceno and vecna are quite hated by some. these killers come installed with pre baked counterplay, enough to turn killer players off them entirely. but to me they are the level bhvr should be going for
-
@Junylar said:
If you buff 2v8 killers even more, the queue will grow so long you will have to make an appointment to play killer in advance of 5 business days.
we could start by removing play while you wait; get rid of the tourist killers so only the most desperate people will play killer. one 2v8 had killers down to 5 minutes...I'll never understand how we got there or how to get that back
I don't support this necessarily, but PWYW made queues worse
-
@Junylar said:
As an experiment, I tried to play Legion, whose power encourages not to tunnel. What did I get? A ton of teabags at the exit gates. So survivors force the killer to tunnel, punishing him otherwise.
I find their power encourages macro play, which does encourage tunneling. info is power, and all that. but I guess power comes with responsibility.

Cheryl is my #1 because of Jeryl. you can laugh and mock me, but Jeryl was special to me.

how else do we loop huntress on trash loops? you'd have to get something severely nerfed, like maybe all her buffs reverted. would that really be worth it?

Really? And you've come to the conclusion that he's healthy for the game and balanced?
How exactly is he balanced, if you've played against a half competent one you'd know that ass soon as your within 20 metres of him he will instantly vaporise you.
unstoppable force meets an immovable object, i guess

I have a couple:
- Instead of getting the actual characters from Attack on Titan, it's just the preexisting survivors cosplaying them. "Armin" especially looks awful
- Kenaki is wearing the wrong outfit by default
- Myers' model looks nothing like how he did in the first Halloween movie
- As far as I know, Freddy's carrying animation is still bugged after years
- It's still not possible to change menu backgrounds or music
- Older killers share many animations while newer ones do not
- Certain killers like Deathslinger and Houndmaster still have not had any add-on passes
- There is very little variation in survivor body types
- Michonne and Rick's voices
- Community skins are often missing certain design elements when they are eventually added to the game. (i.e. Fear of Reminiscence, Winter Warrior, Never Stop Slashing)
i nicknamed Armin "Simple Jack" bscause once you see it you can't unsee it...
-
sucks, but what can ya do, realistically?
-
I want the colour yellow back
I wish Eren Jeager were his own survivor. Just him, I can live with Yui Ackermann.
I wish Nemesis depleted ink ribbon would spawn zombies inside exit gates once they are opened
-
AoT chapter with Eren Jeager survivor was my dream chapter, so I'm tapped out. I can die happy
-
thanks Count, I didn't even know this was a thing...
-
he looks anxiety inducing as a solo as he seems to have noob stomping potential, but he looks fun if you want to get serious about outplaying him. I know for a fact my casual buddies would last literally one second vs him that's kinda scary but making Vecna miss looks like a good workout
