tbh, most outfits are ugly. and the half decent ones with one good piece are linked.
take for example Gabe soma firemoon outfit. it was bugged so you could break it, so I actually started to use it.
linked sets is directly linked to my apathy regards cosmetics.

I'm gonna have to disagree about the legion statement as someone who mains medic class and has faced legion when he was still in 2v8 60+ times even when we had like 4+ medics on the team Legions short cooldowns and ability to chain injuries for long periods of the match it's was impossible to keep the team healed even with the medic double up instaheal.
Legions ability to keep the entire team injured was that oppressive where us medics were basically useless in the match.
I feel like people forget legion had a super fast mend time in 2v8 because I still saw tons of people claiming they were mending simulator which was not true
-
it's human nature to abuse people that cannot leave a situation. if you have the leeway, may as well taunt the other side and make them want to quit. nothing can fundamentally change our species. killers slug people to hold them hostage, and survivors prolong killer torment.
every game attacts bad people, it's not dbd specific but having an audience is what entices these people.

the 110 vs 115 war is about to be settled! brace yourselves! Team #110 all the way! LETS GO JI WOON!
I eagerly await the return of our m2 spam king.

The devs have literally said that they don't cater to a stealth playstyle anymore because the community evolved away from it in favor of chases. It is all about design philosophy and nothing to do with foundations if the devs are completely comfortable in removing old foundations from the game in favor of a new design philosophy.
Whether you want to admit it or not, this game requires coordinated play (or at least very good macro knowledge from soloq survivors) for the survivor team to have a chance at winning. Gone are the days where you can just stroll through a match with nothing but self care and iron will and have a good chance at surviving through the exit gate.
I'm not sure if you're being willfully dishonest and pedantic with your apples and oranges comment, but after 10 years, any live service game will only have very few core similarities of what it once was. Dbd is no different.
they buffed no Mither to help stealth and 11s ESP is cracked i feel kinda catered to

i mean, yeah if you spam the mode with barely any new features it will get old quick.
though i dont think it will help much if they added all the killer roaster and gave survivors nothing to play with.brother, new Killers ARE the content lol. if you get a Hag or Trapper you are playing Minesweeper. if you get Springtrap you are playing FNAF etc. helping us helps you.
I'm so sick of seeing all these 2v8 killers. I seriously need springtrap and dnd vecna. being paired up against wraiths is killing my soul
-
the only way to deal with sprint bursters is to tunnel and hook camp their friends. I don't like having to be that guy, but I'm not chasing them. you just can't in a time management simulator.
it's not that I don't think survivors should have strong things, it's just this one ability is too much.

Add henry and demo. That combination would such a vibe. And one more special survivor skin for the stanger rhings cast so we can run a full set of 8 unique starnger things survivors against the 2 killers.
yes!!!
no disrespect to Chuck, we need any new Killers to alleviate both survivor and killer boredom. but the ST combo woulda went hard, I vinged the whole series in just under 2 weeks to prepare myself

I don't care what else you give him.
It feels like I'm fighting the AI more than a player, and that's bad design.
on rpd it feels like I'm playing Resident Evil tho

@Langweilig said:
Funny thing tho, nemesis still sucks in this mode. Having to hit every survivor 3 times to injure someone just doesn‘t work well in this mode with so many syringes. The zombies constantly are far too slow or get stuck somewhere. Sometimes they are goated (especially on lerrys), but most times just minding their own business in nobody’s land doing nothing. Then there are flashlights that make them completely pointless or just use one of the infinite pallets this mode has to offer to kill them.
if i could roll rpd or lerys every game I'd be content with the state of Nemesis. indoors just hit different
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
I dont have issues with them. There are hundreds of pallets to deal with them. A whole class to deal with them. You can't compare a zombie as equal power to a "Killer" they are just not. Be so for real.
2 whole classes now! bhvr cooked introducing the torchbearer class; it's simultaneously a survivor nerf, but also a tool to deal with our favourite unread friends.
-
@UnicornMedal said:
I said it before, but the zombies act as a natural slowdown that fall outside of the mode's typical balancing. It shouldn't be more than 2.
according to what? the balance of hoping killers give up and play survivor? because I've seen zero rational takes on the killer balancing as people only talk or care about queues
-
I don't mind Escapists being the Meg's of the lot but I'd prefer something that's just as good but not as "feels bad" for the killer, like maybe give them Resilience and Troubleshooter.
-
one game last night my killer queue was under a minute. I was ghostface and my buddy was Nemesis
i have seen things beyond mortal comprehension, and a fast killer queue is one of them. I almost felt like I stole somebody's spot....do I feel guilty? lmao
-
this has never, ever been fixed in all 2v8s.

-
there's nothing wrong with ghoul in a 2v8 setting. that's just 1v4 bias creeping in
-
survivor is so blatantly overpowered there needs to be a killer that can do something.
who am I gonna play instead? Pyramid head, so I can catch up against sprint bursters half the match?

Have to ask why it's listed under 2v8, though? It being listed there rather implies it's intended to be done in 2v8.
I guess it's to influence people's bhvr to improve the 1v4 queues
-
plz plz plz plz be 110 again....please!
-
I've been waiting multiple iterations for unknown.
-
I thought it was fun to bully the legions that tried to get me first lol. sure, my teammates give free hits after the fact but I'd still take that over easy win Oni.
if we can't have legion give us ghoul already. it's pretty wild to me that balance talks are illegal and how dare you even have a grievance with killer...hurry up and quit so we can take your spot in queue lol. that's great for morale, totally. Legion made the unfairness a bit tolerable.

@GhostsCore said:
Obviously Escapist is incredible, but when I'm not doing Escapist I love Scout
Being able to restore pallets every 60 seconds works 2 ways, 1 you can always know at least 1 pallet nearby. 2 it lets you fake vault with the any means necessary, 3 it counters Nemesis zombies since you can stun them and Nemesis is popular 4 it supports the team as a whole by restoring expended resources, even if you never use it yourself.
Add on free iron will and immunity to the 12 meter scream and it's really good!
Edit: I forgot about the aura reveal to other survivors too. It's so helpful!
any good Trapper should have scout induced trauma that they feel the need to play Shadow class. having one person trail and reveal the Trapper is pretty devastating. people do that in 1v4 anyways, but 1 person filming a Trapper livestream to the whole class keeps him down pretty good.
also, any killer team that dares to double team will get severely punished as you'll show the whole team that most of the map is currently safe.
-
yeah if it's gonna be mind numbingly easy to escape as survivor then we should at least get all the killers so we can actually have some fun. sorry, but the roster sucks. most of these killers bore me to tears. gimme springtrap, ghoul and vecna if we are just gonna press "I win chase for free" buttons
-
@ChaosWam said:
I'm going to have to go against the downvoters here, I like facing Oni in 2v8. A good Oni will always impress me more than any other killer.
I've survived plenty of matches against them, and lost against good ones. Never felt unfair to me. Only survivors who are in bad positions and not using their resources, or not staying aware if the Oni is running undetectable.onis so easy it's basically impossible to miss
-
I play medic a lot just to use Lisa Garland, but typically I'm the scout but for this 2v8 I'm studying the new class in the name of S C I E N C E!
having scouts and torchbearers make Nemesis not so bad. I love scout countering Huntress.
-
id support this if Cote gets his screams voices by Almo
-
people aren't gonna upload videos where they get destroyed.

Whilst we might sometimes offer free trials for some killers, this is not always a guarantee I am afraid.
this isn't a suggestion, rather me talking at the wind(and this is out of your control) but if Good Guy were made free, as well as the Good Gal and let them team up, I think a lot of people would fork over money for Tiffany.
-
I don't get why it's so slow. killer content directly correlates to survivor enjoyment. I cannot stand facing the same crappy killers I already dislike like Wraith and Huntress. Wake me up when I can start looping a springtrap or one of the vecnas
-
cages moving when you say hi to them is a great way to kill people in the cages. you can proxy them out and then force the teleport and hope nobody is close enough to grab them. no point being nice and hope that person gets a tonic
-
I'm just bored because there's no killer i want to play. spirits ok but she's a bust if I'm in an Xbox party. so that kinda leaves Dracula for me.
on survivor I absolutely adore being double teamed, but it's also a little too easy having such crazy strong easy abilities. the sprint burst feels so wrong I don't even use it.
-
I ain't got time to be finding these things "just" so survivors cant have them.

Here, let me write a long-winded essay on a thread that will fall off the front page within a week about all of the problems with the game we're all very aware of stemming back to 2016, only to get into a circular argument with people who already have their minds made up just to have the devs ignore all of it anyway. 🤩
you could try witty quips

- I'm also a bit bored with 2vs8, for different reasons. I just play the challenges and then go back to "normal" mode.
I wanna master countering the new killer before he goes the way of the First Vecna...not the first Vecna but the First Vecna who is the Second Vecna.
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
I find bots tend to play better than normal players as a rule 🤣 not really seen killer bots but i can imagine the nurse one is a nightmare.
They do some janky stuff and can be caught without too much difficulty once you're familiar with how they move. But they are straight flawless at dodging powers if you try to use them in the open without corraling them into an unavoidable hit
if you do see a killer bot, my suggestion is to let them do their thing and not get in their way. they're kinda dumb but as long as they don't get confused by getting too close they'll just clean up shop. tbh I'd rather play killer by myself with a bot than a solo q teammate haha

@Aven_Fallen said:
Did you play against/with Nemesis by any chance? I would not be surprised if increasing the Zombie Count would not have caused any Lags when BHVR tested it but causes issues on consoles.
haven't noticed anything as or against nemmy on the series s (the "weak" xbox)
I was expecting my console to fail a skill check though tbh

I run gen kick builds on several of my killers and they've been working great, combo eruption, pop and nowhere to hide makes for easy hits/chases and good regression.
Kick a gen to apply pop and prepare eruption, get a free hit with nowhere and follow up for a down and to trigger eruption. Add trail of torment for extra fun. Nobody expects stealth nemesis 🤣
I did try something janky with oppression and dms to try and block gens from a distance but didn't work too well, like any build that uses oppression really 🙃
the thing about Oppression is that I feel we shouldn't rely on the satisfying explosion noises, but rather rely on Oppression oppressively oppressing the gens while you Oppress them with your pressure.
I find it's not helpful towards the start, but moreso once people are getting hooked, dying, busy doing side quests etc.
anyone remember the cooldown on Oppression? it was like 2 or 3 whole minutes. It blows my mind to see it at 35 seconds now. I call it pocket ruin
-
I thought the for honour collab was pretty epic with us getting a whole charm out of that
-
all these iterations and I still have no killer i want to play. drac is the only killer I actively enjoy out of the lot. and we had just lost a whole killer, resetting our variety progress.
I get the mode has to be survivor sided for the queue times, but some kinda bones gotta be thrown. but talking is pointless since any discussion is shut down by "good stop playing queues are long"
-
I've been using Oppression pretty religiously these days usually to combo with Unforeseen.
i don't touch eruption because it limits the gens too fast. I just want to use things like Unforeseen or machine learning but eruption and surge put those perks on a timer. I miss using Surge in every build

When it comes to Trevor, it might also be something to count if they are wearing the basic outfit, or Simon Belmont / Leon Belmont cosplays, as they never gave us those characters so its the closest thing we might ever get to playing as those characters (as goofy as they look on trevor)
you guys are looking fabulous compared to my p100 Eren Jeager lol. the nerdy Dwight biting his dirty unwashed nails hurts me internally
-
if they can see who the killer is who knows if they can see your ip address. if this is real, ban em all. using software like that is peak entitlement
I've never seen this though as a console player

I'd like some more communication from the devs on Legion's future in 2V8 as well. Their absence basically killed any excitement or appeal of the mode for me last time around.
I feel like people who argued for their removal were either taking the mode way too seriously or just not really getting into the spirit of things. Even if you think they are "broken", there's no way the argument can be made that they're unique in that respect when there is plenty of equally broken nonsense still in 2V8. I thought that was kind of the point - that everybody gets an equal opportunity to play with their broken toys.
Legion being removed broke that implicit contract for me. Why should I subject myself to a triple dash Wesker when I don't have a Legion match to look forward to? I'll probably still play 2V8 a little bit, but I'm still sore about BHVR doing them dirty like that.
I can tolerate the mode being survivor sided, since the queue has a lot of killers. but Legion kept me quiet because he was a great fit for team composition.
feels like people are happy for us to quit because we are just competition for the queues
-
@tjt85 said:
Let's stop pretending Legion were ever good in 2V8 as anything other than a support character. They were fun to play as, but very weak unless you got lucky and The Entity matched you up with a solid teammate who could mop up after them.
Heck, even Trapper is currently better than Legion in 2V8 right now on account of the fact that you can actually play as him in the mode 😔
I loved being the first person on the frenzy chain I was rather proud to delay the teamwide slashing. only time I didn't like Legion was when somebody else was up to bat, but maybe that's because I'm biased as a Legion somewhat main. I usually play scout and tried to keep him perma revealed so we can prw run him and then I gladly smash him with pallets that I just rebuilt later
