  • I have no strong feelings on the matter

  • @ImWinston said:

    • The survivor bots are terrible, but are you really having trouble catching them? The thing they should change IMMEDIATELY is their "I'll hide and crouch, the killer will never see me" mentality.🤣 I've never encountered a nurse bot, but I have encountered a legion bot (when legion was present in 2vs8) and it was a real nightmare.

survivor bots have been nerfed in the past for being too powerful

  • all the bots are cracked lol. I've had both Legion and wesker bots annihilate everything. just gotta not get in their way. terrifying

  • I'm really happy taurie FINALLY got a torso piece that IS NOT midriff on a non licence piece or set

  • legion because they are my training weights. I'm basically Goku who holds back on this killer. I've always said if you want to get better at dbd, Legions the killer to play, not Wraith. then once you use a killer with a REAL power, you'll hit a power spike and go super saiyan. seriously, going from Legion to Doctor I feel invincible lol

legions micro translates to almost every killer in the game, plus they passively feed your macro with the killer Instinct. this is why I naturally transitioned to being a Cenobite enjoyer. playing so much m1s though make me enjoy playing heavy m2 spammers like First to switch things up

  • id say neither tbh, but I'll vote krasue just because you never see her. I haven't seen her since before I took a dbd break

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Never. Unless they want to give Legion a completely new Power for 2v8. Legion should have never been in 2v8 to begin with, the whole point of the Killer is that they can get a very easy first Hit but then have to play as a basically powerless M1-Killer. This just does not work if there is a second Killer running around.

a lot of killers just have little to no synergy. I love playing ghostface and getting m2 only killers. Slinger wanting to 1v2 makes him fundamentally useless, so all you can do with killer is just take 2 high mobility killers and play 2 games of 1v4.

I don't always want to be playing a mobility killer though. removing legion does have its uses though, like making casual killers just give up on killer and just play survivor, which is cool for us diehard players I guess.

  • @BlackRabies said:

Wished they brought Legion back into 2v8 mode since healing feels out of control now with 3 survivors being allowed to heal the same target.

was medic touched at all? in last 2v8s, 2 medics could just passively heal all 8 survivors. mending is super fast too so the whole "mending simulator" is just parroted talking points from 1v4 dislike of legion

if we can't have legion we need Ghoul to come asap.

  • @pigslittlepet said:

You're only just noticing it now? I've been doing that ever since the hatch changes. And as for unsportsmanlike problem, that is irrelevant. It's about winning, not being nice.

well I hope you enjoy playing a full length dbd match trying to find me while I "try" to do gens in that 2v1 situation. my records 15 minutes.

it's not about winning, it's about ego. you could have been in another match already.

We appreciate that players found the previous audio / vo iconic, with the addition voicelines it was no longer possible - we kept the original scare scream audio in the files as an easter egg of sorts but have increased the chance of it playing during the game. We are not going to move away from the latest voice lines however.

thanks for doing this for us Mandy

So you play as intended for some of the match then essentially give up and let people escape? Thats sounds an awful like a killer going afk not participating in the match when they know they are beat…which is debatable. What is not debatable is that your admitting to intentionally letting people go to lower your MMR so you can play easier opponents. This not only tanks your MMR but it also raises survivors MMR so they get harder opponents faster, possibly too hard for their skill level due to them being given free escapes.

Think about new players you go against, if killers let them go and inflate the survivors MMR they will gain little to no actual experience v killers that actually play the game normally so they will get stomped and then wonder why they are getting matched with experienced players.

experience doesn't matter if people like him are the reason new people stick around. too many sweaty killers leaving people on the ground for the 4k are why this game has such gargantuan turnover rates

  • I find it annoying that he's seen as a problem when I destroy them no problem. people for some reason feel the need to give free hits and let them go on a stabbing frenzy.

meanwhile, the fundamentally broken character in 2v8, Oni, gets so many buffs to make him so easy to play when he should have gotten nothing and he'd still have been op on principle.

  • going for 8 hooks is actually tunneling all the survivors at once. for shame!

  • @cogsturning said:

I played 9 survivor matches last night and 3 were against Henry. He's out there.

I think a lot of people tried him and quickly dropped off. It doesn't help that he's much harder on controller. I've been playing as him though and he's helping me mellow out. I'd been going too hard as killer the last few months, but landing his vine attack is so satisfying I'm not so worried about winning much. He's becoming my zen killer.

the controller bits been a bit rough but he's been fun to play just like old m2 spam trickster was for me. I miss a lot but it's been a fun vibe regardless. I made a thread a while back gushing about it but I've been having fun with Weave Attunement pretending I'm Jaws on all these indoor levels we are getting xD

  • I've been finding people have been behaving themselves lately. throwing games and ratting you out, sure, that's still classic. but mentals seem to be on the up and up.

part of it may be because I'm facing a new generation of survivor. I can tell I'm facing people around the 1k hour milestone, so they aren't as stressed out as people with chips on their shoulders.

  • @Daniel_Silva04 said:

Nah, Power struggle is actually a very disgusting perk when combined with Flip Flop, it basically makes impossible for the killer to pick up a survivor if there is another survivor nearby distracting you. I'm very glad almost no one uses it. This thing of swinging doesn't always work if you spam the drop button.

I've been trying to mash the drop button because this smug nodder got under my skin and I wanted to confirm I wasn't just being slow. I mashed that button like my life depended on it. it's been a while, but I am somewhat confident there's a ping factor with pallet drops too(what was the threshold again? 60 ms ping? 100?) that'll start to interfere but there was no ping issue in this game. it was 100% swing tech.

If you use his power for mobility and then just m1 all the survivors for a 4k, does it really matter what killer you played at that point?

not really, but there's zero reason to be playing the majority of the roster, including my main boy cenobite. at the end of the day, that mobility lets you apply m1s and gen kicks faster

  • you can just not use his power except for mobility and that still places blight entire tiers above Trapper because mobility is king and trumps everything.

    he needs a real weakness

  • I do something similar. i want to see the strength of the power in its naked form, then from there, based off what I find frustrating or exciting i base my perks around.

these days i usually don't go completely naked though, I'll take things that don't interfere with how a killer functions like Zanshin Tactics.

I consider myself to be Goku practicing with the training weights on. when I remove them, I become so much more powerful.

  • @terumisan said:

flip flop power struggle is op since it has no counterplay if someone hangs around long enough for you to hit the 35 and with no mither your not going to get slugged long enough for it to matter most likely you'll be tunneled out tbh

again, it doesn't matter if its op because you just do the swing tech and it's a useless perk.

  • @XDgamer018 said:

it might be a super situational perk BUT its one of the few times in dbd when i got scared shitless idk why but it always gets me

it is indeed one of the spookiest jumpscares in dbd

Ah, yeah. Your comment came off as really sarcastic because of the "go figure" at the end. Sorry for assuming.

my bad, I type like i talk irl but it doesn't always come through how I want because I cant convey my tone

  • @cogsturning said:

Ngl i had no idea you could circumvent it. I encounter it so infrequently, and I almost never walk through pallets while carrying , so I don't even think about.

Had a bot use it against me the other day though, which was a bit of a ego gut punch.

only reason I see it is because I meme with big hat Ace using plot twist+flip flop+ power struggle to boldly heal in chase and make the killers go "huh? is this ace crazy?"

I forgot this was a thing, and I remembered why I shelved it. it's a shame, because it's actually strong when killers just don't know what to do. if you play your cards right, you can take killers on a pallet tour

  • we all love bead maze. I've been trying to avoid the roller skates and rabbit because I saw Hens use that enough that I want to use something else.

the soteria chip ain't so bad.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4054923#Comment_4054923

Yeah… That's exactly what I was saying. Why the sarcasm?

I'm just speaking to the wind. lots of people say vecna is super strong, and I'm just making an observation about it, because we are boosting a lot of indoor levels right now. almost to promote the new killer or something.

  • @cogsturning said:

They honestly don't feel like they do anything anymore, even what they're supposed to do. There's a tiny gap in scratch marks that's barely worth mentioning, I don't feel like they have much affect against aura read anymore, and you can see people right through them. It's as if they continue to get worse except for on like three maps.

I use them for Lethal protection since I use No Mither, then use em again to leave the basement after invocation. that's all my 2 charges.

  • fun...in dbd!?

    I've seen stranger things..

  • @Dark_Vorahk1 said:

A deeply dull and problematic design. The only thing holding back the power is the skill of the player utilizing it. It's why Nurse and Hyperfocus have remained the strongest tools of each role; the user is generally not good enough to harness the power. I truly do not agree with the designed theoretical power level provided with the assumption that not too many people will come close to perfection.

When I log on, it's because I want to enjoy Dead by Daylight. I would love to run, hide, take hits, and generally enjoy having autonomy over my movement and the ability to defend my teammates. This killer provides the thrill-less experience of Alucard's Shield at all times. Vault? Wrong answer. Maybe twice sometimes one. Didn't vault? Wrong answer. Maybe once sometimes twice.

This takes my amounts of fun to impoverished levels. It's 10x worse with the infinite monologuing using the same recycled and effortless voice lines. When will we be able to disable that slop?

alucards shield is a fun useless meme addon that adds spice to life, what did that sddon ever do to anybody?

  • I think he's alright.

I don't agree with pickups pausing worldbreaker, though.

  • the devs saw that i want toba 24/7 so they did this for me as a personal favour.

    I'm sorry

  • a killer that's strong on indoor levels has a good showing when the maps are boosting a bunch of indoor levels, go figure.

  • low tiers can't keep up in a heavy aura/cooldown heavy game now.

you guys go play Trapper against 11 and see how that goes. go play Oni against 4 Lara's and see how that goes. even my boy cenobite isn't any better.

  • that's a pretty cheeseball interaction it's definitely getting removed. Wraith uses to open lockers fast and ignore BT i expect this will be dealt with soon.

  • @adam1233467 said:

Well, I thought I would finally stop tunneling steve players that run scene partner, but hey, I'm not complaining, at least they will be sent back to the lobby faster again.

I take those perks for safety in chase; is focusing somebody who is built for chase truly so wise?

  • I had no problem using sac wards every game to dodge macmillan/autohaven/eyrie spammers and then playing map wars whenever I wanted to go on a toba/midwitch/Game/hawkins/lerys kick.

I thought sac wards going brown was a fine compromise for everyone.

  • this news brings me hope. only thing that could give me more hope would be vial reverts.

thanks bhvr! Steve is dbds mascot now we must protect him

  • @Xray said:

When i load up killers nowadays i just end thinking, why do i even bother? My main Myers got character assassinated and i dont find him fun anymore, ghostface is stuck in D tier and the devs refuse to buff him, i dont enjoy playing blight or nurse so i've just fallen out of love playing killer. I tried playing other killers but its just more of the same. Half of the time i just DC as i just cant be bothered to deal with the pressure of the match anymore. I've even started running NOED more just so maybe i can get a kill at the end of a ten minute slog. I just wish i could find the passion i had for the role like i used to.

I'm one of the weirdos who....tolerated old Myers. only because of how perfectly in character he was. I cannot stand to face this new Myers. I don't want to play him, and I don't want to see him.

I've seen more Myers than Henrys and it's bothering me rn.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yes, it should be removed. There is no reason why the Killer should be able to cherrypick their Lobby and this is after all the only purpose of the Lobby. Nobody adjusts their Build based on what they see, 3-4 Slowdowns and an Aura Perk (if not 4 Slowdowns) is what you see the most, regardless what the Survivors bring.

Nobody equips Franklins nowadays and even before the Nerf it was only used in events (and there probably out of spite) from my experience.

And if someone does not want to be blinded, they should bring Lightborn every match anyway, since Flashbangs and Perks which grant Flashlights from Chests exist.

But in reality what happens is that the Killer will look at the Survivors and if they see more Items than they want to, they dodge. Or if they are on Steam, they check the profiles and if there is a Survivor with too many hours, they dodge as well.

im thankful to be on console, because checking survivors hours is genuinely sad.

Nyarlathotep has multiple forms based on who has him but he is in SMT2 and Persona 2 in both the versions. (There is like 7 versions of him)

ok color me intrigued in SMT then. I hated him so much in p2

Oooof, probably about 800-1000? Forums came out in May or June of 2018 and I had been playing for about a year. What I do remember is making a cringe ah tier list post when Legion came out and had about 1400 hours at that point.

what'd you think of Legion at the time?

I was in my OW phase at the time, but I saw the award show where they debuted Legion and I was like "amogus guy?" they certainly do not play like I woulda thought from that video

  • id rather fun modes. people can sweat in the regular mode. tough since people use fun events as basekit slowdown

  • id like a skin collection. Hope vs Despair, which puts Julie as the main Legion member for once. I think that's probably the best we could ask for.

the survivors gotta have Rantaro, he's literally "The Ultimate Survivor". Kaede too because she starts the game hiding in a locker.

  • @Jay_Whyask said:

I think one of the original team members from BHVR talked about this a while ago.

If I remember correctly, perk tiers can't be removed because they're apart of the foundational code that keeps DBD together.

Well they can be removed, it would just require a lot of time & effort.

Probably like, Dead by Daylight 2 levels of effort.

we managed to get 3 Nemesis zombies, which was said to be unpossible before.

yo The Great Father is sick, is he in the mainline SMT games too?
