reworking 2v8 survivor classes (and ideas for new classes)

Escapist : they job is essentially to be chased by the killer as much as possible.
their kit what they gain is near perfect, but i do find the sprint-burst on command very cheaply made.
it should be changed back to giving others an aoe sprint-burst when not exhausted.
while your own sprint-burst start like in 1v4.
rework unlocked ability, self-care to medic,
give the new unlockable ability to gain extra distance once injured,
the starting item should be a key for hatch, incase things go south, they can always rely on hatch to escape.

its kit is almost perfect and already fleshed out, but needs some tuning to make it as close to perfection as it can be.

scout : they job is being a support of replenishing resources and helping with aura reading.
give bloodpoints depending how often/long you stalk a killer while someone else is chased.
make the aura read trigger easier to trigger, a larger cone of detection.
(rework unlocked ability from medic, to scout)
give them a map with the mini-wiretap addon.

its the most unique class that cant be replicated from 1v4. so it barely needs any changes.

medic : their job is to support the team itself with rescues and healing.
though its very boring to play, especially for people who need action or a bit more options to help their team.
give them duty of care as an ability and self-care as an unlockable from escapist.
(works well with their healing bonus)
(give their starting item an medkit so they can heal themselves before getting hooked)

this would solve the problem of low options, variety and more ways to help the team itself and makes the class alot more fun to play.

guide : its original job was to push gens to its completion.
now its job is to do gens and annoy the killer.

honestly just make wiretap and blastmine into a seprate jester class
and rework guide to actually GUIDE people to the objectives.

give them basekit illumination for chests or gens
give the aura read to other survivors if near by and highlight 3 of the closet gens in yellow for them.

their starting item should be a basic toolbox.

torchbearer : its job is to….rescue teammates when they get targeted (?)
honestly it feels like a class for people not wanting to help their teammates via playing the objective and it just annoys killer with flashlight save attempt #14 (failed and downed)

rework unlockable ability to give background player, (a boost of speed when killer picks up) when not exhausted.
rework normal ability to give champion of light effect, when using a flashlight.
rework flashbang ability to only be recharged by working on a generator.

they already start with a flashlight.
the reasoning behind these changes is to give this class its full kit to utilize in its purpose while not completely neglecting their job of gens and escaping.

onto the new classes :

boon class : the most request class for 2v8
you start with a map their two ability help the usage of the map.
the map has extra charges (12) and highlights all totems.
once a totem is blessed, they get the fallowing benefits :
shadowstep, expo and dark theory.

this helps survivors loop in a more efficent way without harming the other classes in their purpose.

the unlockable could be a new boon for a future release.

Comments

  • I have one I want to throw into the mix for BHVR to consider.

A Troublemaker class consisting of the perks:
Blastmine, Deception, Pebble AND HeadOn/Aura visible to other survivors when in locker when hooked once.

Hoping BHVR can give the Guide class some guide abilities instead of being the one who plants bombs on Gens.

  • I don't mind Escapists being the Meg's of the lot but I'd prefer something that's just as good but not as "feels bad" for the killer, like maybe give them Resilience and Troubleshooter.
