I never go to the exit gates when they are opened no matter how much vault or locker spamming a survivor does.
Not happening.
So it's good to see I'm not missing out on t-bags on first pallet drop just about every match.
Running windows and dropping the first pallet you get to does not make you a good player. It certainly isn't worthy of a t-bag.
That behaviour is guaranteed to make me do as much as possible to ensure you don't escape even if the other 3 survivors do get out.
T-bags are expected but on first pallet it's pretty lame especially when you're running windows so not even good map knowledge is required.
Ghostface can t-bag back which can lead to some t-bag pallet fun which can be entertaining.
But enough of t-bags on the first pallet which I'm going to break and it's gained you nothing especially if it's a god pallet that's been removed first chase.

T-Bagging early is done to agitate you, so you chase them more… You literally fell into their trap and did what they want lol
unless they just stand still so you kill them cuz you are playing a killer they "don't like" then just slug em for not playing the game

Before the rework i would have said Myers. You could farm while stalking, use obsession-addons, one-shots preserve stacks and he needed a chase upgrade badly.
With the rework he got some buffs and nerfs to this playstyle, similar to the old Bubba rework.
Other contenders are other one-shots like Ghostface. Or killer which keep the survivor injured like Legion, Plague or Kaneki.
Which Is your favorit for pwyf?
definitely a stealth or teleport killer because of the screams you will hear over the mic as fear hits them with dredge jumping out the locker from behind their gen or ghostface peeks from around a corner 99% stalking them then sneaking up real close and slamming them with a 1 shot without a chance of knowing what hit em

I threw this together pretty quickly. I had this is a concept I had a little while ago, and with the recent Map Survey I had thought it the right time to share. I think I have visualized the concept well enough, but to go into detail: All players vote for a Map they want, with killers getting 50% of a vote & survivors split their 50%. If someone didn't vote then their vote gets split across the survivors. If somehow no one voted then the map is randomized as normal.
try putting this as a poll since so many people seem to like the idea we might just get a count of it
and I also personally think its a cool idea

sounds like fun, I’ve always had dredge I just never really played him too much.
hope you enjoy my favorite killer to play
and if he starts getting boring start giving yourself side tasks like dont get anyone second hook until everyone is first hook, you can still hit/down people but not hook them until they are on the same stage as everyone else
its just a fun little idea but its not mandatory though I do hope you implement the idea sometime with any killer/survivor you play

So I’ve been trying to find a new main since Skull merchant got gutted in October of last year but Dbd has kinda been making that hard for me since because I swear it genuinely feels like the game just doesn’t want me to play killer because
- Skull merchant got gutted last year and is getting reworked into dashslop.
- I was extremely hyped for Springtrap until I was just drop kicked by disappointment
- Sadako was changed so many times to the point where I don’t know what she dose anymore
- Trapper gets nothing every update
- Myers was turned into Dashslop
- Houndmaster is a bug fest
Like seriously who do I main at this point? Like I'm genuinely curious.
(I was going to post this tomorrow, but I accidentally hit the button while editing this.)
try out dredge he has funny moments when teleporting and gets pressure fast as well as built in "stealth" with the night mode and also has decent counterplay against pallets with his remnant along with the fact he is very ballenced and really just takes skill and time to get good at

Selling out teammates is just lame, I'd rather try to to go down in a spot where the killer has to spend time walking back so the last survivor has a bit more of a chance.

It's the dilemma of asking developers to buff the weaker killers who need it, but not asking them to adjust the blatantly overperforming killers as well. When Blight can go on a 2k win streak, why should I bother switching off to Pig, Ghostface, or Myers that get changes? A happy medium for all killers would be best for balance.

I swear every single form of counterplay a survivor can have is a "weapon" to be "weaponized". 😭
to be fair they are but that really is the point of it
same with things for killer its to be weaponized against the survivors
but then again it really just depends on how you interpret the meaning of it
it could mean to hurt/stun the killer like blastmine or just be something "basic" like windows of opportunity which helps you without directly hurting the killer

I was kinda hoping some things were changed about her as bug fixes, so went to test some annoying things she can do.
She can still:
- spam spit with basically no penalty
- autoaim on spit
- spit and M1 quickly (how the hell is it faster than Plague)
- dash basically during animation of changing form
- ignore round loops, if she hugs the wall
- hit you over some short obstacles (the game tables), but not less of them
- Mushrooms takes 3 business days to cleanse
- You still get injured if head hits you while you are being cleansed
- You keep infection when being hooked
She can't:
- I did not manage to hit over pallets anymore
Vaults are weaker, but it simply doesn't matter when all of them use Bamboozle/Dissolution.
So the outcome for me is as soon I see Dissolution, I am not playing.valid

Well I don't think they should - but I am sure they should have people playing characters for them, know what I mean?
They should have few good killer mains, few great surviviors and few casual surviviors that they know they can trust.
Unless some developers actually have a lot of experience playing their game.
i know what you mean but the first hand experience could really help them understand possible bugs or op perks/powers

@jesterkind said:
Now bear with me. I'm making this a discussion and not a suggestion because I am on the fence about this myself, so I figured I'd toss it out to the community.
I don't think it's controversial to say that the main reason most people bring Vigil is because it helps you recover from Exhausted faster- that's both a very strong effect, and far more in your control as a survivor. Still, the fact that it does help with a bunch of other status effects is good, and can be really impactful in some scenarios.
Because the main strength is Exhausted, I think it's worth putting more scrutiny onto what else Vigil actually lessens the strength of on the killer end.Mostly, I believe these effects are fairly nice but not incredible. Recovering from Blindness, Mangled, Oblivious, etcetera faster doesn't usually affect the perks those effects are associated with all too heavily in my opinion. Exposed, though, really is far more impactful.
I first started thinking about this when I was testing Ravenous on the PTB (the one that grants Exposed after first-hooking everyone, for reference) and noticed that I successfully was in a position to make use of the perk on the tail end of its activation… and Vigil had caused the survivor to recover with a pretty big chunk of the perk-icon timer remaining, leaving a one-time-activation perk a completely dead slot even though I should've been able to get value from it.
Obviously, one instance of one perk being countered by Vigil isn't much evidence of anything, but it got me thinking about how this could easily be a pattern considering that there are a good few perks that have their main chunk of value be Exposed activated on a timer.Just doing a quick ctrl + F + "Exposed" and looking only at the ones with a timer reveals:
Dragon's Grip, Friends Til The End, Haunted Grounds, Hubris, Iron Maiden, Make Your Choice, Ravenous, and Starstruck (sorta).
Now, not all of those have Exposed on a timer as their main focus, but a good chunk of them do. My question is this:
Is Vigil affecting those perks in a way more harsh than the way it affects other perks (EG, it affects Mindbreaker, but nowhere near as harshly as it affects Haunted Grounds) healthy for the game?I could see it breaking either way. Perks are supposed to do something and shortening the window to capitalise on those perks is hypothetically worthwhile, but at the same time, it already has other very strong niches and doesn't tend to affect other perks that strongly. Additionally, there are only two perks in the game (Dramaturgy and Shoulder the Burden) that a player could actively use this effect on, so it's a gamble if you'll even get this strong effect at all.
The perk already has a built-in restriction of not affecting killer powers, so it's not as bad as it could be, but I do feel there's still a real discussion here. What do you all think? Is Vigil packing such hard heat against Exposed perks on top of its powerful use with Exhaustion + the other minor use cases reasonable, or would the perk be more reasonable to balance with the Exposed cut out?
i never really thought it was that powerful but then again I always use it as survivor but never get affected by it as killer since I don't use effect builds

Killers are being released at a broken state and it's just not great for surviviors - especially with SM, kaneki and now krasue.I don't know how many more of those releases I will endure… krasue made me stop playing as much as I would before.
I am a veteran who has been playing for around 7 years, more than 10 000 hours put into game.
I noticed that Krasue brought so much more "I am taking a break" and "I am uninstalling" people into social media - forums, reddit, X.
I understand that they are being released this way is to boost the sales, but do we really need to make surviviors live miserable?
Kaneki was terrible to go against, but he had weaknesses - Krasue doesn't.
She is busted - low delays, very strong power, auto-aim and really forgiving hits.i think the devs themselves should try playing each version of the killers that they release so they can feel how fun or strong said killer is and I mean more than 10 matches on different maps each time

The update, sure, needs tweaks. But why not implement a version with reduced numbers that basically only have impact in specific cases?
6 hooks too many to block gens? Depends on the killer, but reduce it to 4 so that at least someone else needs to be hooked first.
25% being too much of a boost? Drop it to 10%. Barely will have an impact, but it will give survivors some hope of finishing 4 gens if someone dies early.
Anti-slug can be implemented as is, Twins needs a rework anyway. If it needs tweaks, then do so later. Undying was up for 5 months before it got tweaked. Ghoul has been in an annoying state for forever too. Killers can deal with 3 months of anti-slug potentially being a bit too punishing
Keep the basekit bbq and 5% permanent regression bonus per unique survivor hooked too.
THEN tweak the rest around it. Its a baseline that would just make games more than just singularity basically camping with biopods, or a trickster dropping chase because main event is ready and the basekit BT is just a minor obstacle.
But fully delaying it for another 3 months? No. Sorry, Done. I already waited over a year to finally hear an update about a viable basekit anti-slug and some tweaks to anti-tunnel. I've waited 6 months since the emergency abandon feature. If I need to wait for another 3 months, thats going to be 3 months playing something else.as a killer main myself I actually agree, the game is far too easy for us when its solos and even a swf can get steamrolled by someone running the ghoul and zero perks if they try not even try hard just try but if they bring 4 good perks its just game unless they never touched the game before
so yeah I'd actually agree with a difficulty hike for a bit because even when I run lower tier killers and lower tier perks even when just playing around and having fun I accidentally kill people and get 4ks

Intelligence in the macro game is so non-existent for these killers that I genuinely just mentally checked out...
Ghoul was the same, and Dracula, and to a lesser extent Freddy bored me as well... I play Nurse on console with the Matchbox add-on, but she'd be in the same list.

Thanks for sharing your perspective! I agree that the real issue was the timing — Oni came out in December 2019, and by now flicking had already been accepted as part of his power. Even if not everyone could do it, it added a unique skill expression that made him more interesting.
Back then it wasn’t technically possible to fix, so it was treated as part of his design. Calling it a bug and removing it years later just feels wrong.

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here, so please be kind.
I recently learned that Oni will get a new skin in the Night of the Living Cat collaboration, which makes me want to play him again. However, I was reminded that Oni’s flick was removed a few months ago. To many of us, flicking was more than just a mechanic—it was a skill that rewarded practice and mastery. It made Oni unique and gave players a sense of achievement when pulling off precise moves.
I also believe that if Oni’s flick was ever going to be removed, it should have been done at the time Oni was first released (December 2019). Removing it now, months later, feels out of place and disappointing. Even now, Oni feels less expressive and less satisfying to play, and a part of the gameplay depth has been lost.
I’m curious… are we really going to just accept this removal? Are there others who also miss the flick and feel that it added something special to Oni? I’d love to hear your thoughts and discuss how we could potentially suggest improvements or alternatives to the developers.
Thank you for reading!
im on xbox so ive never been able to do the flick but I think it shouldn't have been removed because of the fact it really just felt like a genuine part of the oni power that only the skilled (with mouse and keyboard) could use but even though its not something I can do it shouldn't be removed years later when we have accepted it as part of his power

I've been playing all day today since I'm off work. Mainly been playing survivor. Every single game today as survivor, the killer has tunneled. If it's me, I had to switch to an anti-tunnel build just to buy some time for the others so they only get a 1K. If it's not me, I'm left with unhooking and trying to body block, or just letting them struggle. The killers will run off and start chase with someone else, then break chase and come back after a few seconds to check on the hook. Or you'll have someone like a Ghoul or Blight get out of anti-camp range but stay in line of sight so as soon as they see someone coming to unhook, they dart straight for the tunnel. I know I know. It's a survivor and killer debate. Someone like Alien, Springtrap, or Demigorgon just TPs right back (I know Alien doesn't tp, but you know what I mean. If survivors don't escape, they cry. If killers don't get a 4K , they cry…
But I'm telling you. This is getting old. Soon enough, if Behavior doesn't actually implement a decent anti-tunnel, more and more survivor mains will leave. Every friend I used to play with has left because that strat gets frustrating and old. I've even deleted the game a few times, but I've been playing since early 2017, so I do love the game at face value. I think that Behavior focuses more on new content for you to buy, as opposed to balancing the game for all sides. New perk after new perk after new perk…you can't balance the game if you're pathway is release content, release content, release content. And I'm aware about the rework on PTB. I think it was a little much, but I also think that the outcry from killer mains makes the point. The killer shouldn't be aware of an unhook. Perks like DS shouldn't run out so fast, and shouldn't deactivate if you decide to heal or get on a gen. There's a ton of ways to go about balancing. Instead, they introduce crazy mechanics. I just know that out of 20 or 30 games today, every killer has tunneled. That's wild. 2v8 got old fairly quick, but at least it was a nice escape the reality that is tunneling.
And just for clarification, I do think that the game can be killer sided at times, and survivor sided at others. Maps, OP killer, OP builds on both sides, solo que vs swf, etc…….I get it. I just remember when killers actually used perks like BBQ to get 12 hooks with max points and actually earn a 4k.
Anyways, just me venting. I know I'll have some negative comments. I don't read any responses to my posts here, though, so do your worst.
i actually really liked this post and agree as a killer myself tunneling is lazy and boring I tried it once and got them to second hook then just let everyone go because it was too easy so really I do think lots of people should change their strategies including bhvr on their anti tunnel just keep testing till you find something that's enjoyable and solves the problem

Solo queue survivor is miserable, that's no secret but at the same time survivor doesn't need buffs since it's the stronger role in an equal level match up with good coordination.
There are basekit systems coming to help solo q survivor experience that swfs definitely don't need and can abuse to make killer miserable instead. That gave me a not-so-original idea i'm aware not many people are fond of: a different queue. This way they can actually go all-out with the systems, make them actually impactful.
It seems like a good idea to me but I really would like to hear others' opinions about it and if they think it could be a feasible option. First things first, It doesn't need to be competitive, be it through wording or choice to show ranks, mmr, whatever.
And of course most importantly, why would killers choose to play here over stomping casuals?
Let me make a short list of what should differ between those modes:
- "Casual" mode will only be playable by solo survivors (maybe duos too).
- It will include "anti" systems available to help its players.
- Stricter matchmaking in "ranked" mode; so an experienced survivor without a team but that still wants to enjoy "bare" dbd or competition can still play here without getting matched with the 200 hour Timmy.
- Game-altering offerings will be unusable in the mode. They aren't very strong admittedly, but still.
- Maybe rank/mmr will be trackable through official data website which most casual players aren't even aware exists.
I'm honestly not sure how accurately this would seperate players that have different expectations from the game, but I firmly believe we might need such a change. A killer still can choose a chill match with loose matchmaking but against survivors with the help of basekit features; and survivors can enjoy a better solo q experience or the advantage of being in a group without basekit features ONLY solo survivors need.
i tip my hat to you as I as a killer would enjoy the casual mode to mess around and have fun and love the "ranked" mode to try my best to win
some people hate tryhards so they would play casual and some hate friendly killers so they would play "ranked" but I'm a mix of both killers so I would end up playing both gamemodes frequently

🪓 Pourquoi The Husk est unique
The HUSK (OU L’IMPOSTEUR)
L’attaque inflige l’état Blessure Profonde.

🎭 Pitch – The Husk / The Imposter
Imagine a killer who doesn't need to run faster or hit harder to terrify.
A killer who sows doubt in every interaction, shattering the trust at the heart of Dead by Daylight.
The Husk, also known as The Imposter, is a faceless creature that feeds on solidarity.
His power, Cell Parasite, allows him to copy survivors and reproduce them like puppets in his service.
🪓 Why The Husk is unique
Infiltration becomes total, even the most attentive can no longer trust their senses.
Horrifying Cloning: After wounding each survivor, The Husk creates up to two perfect clones, capable of imitating a player for a few seconds before deforming and attacking with visceral violence.Unprecedented psychological pressure: every ally can be an enemy, every gesture can hide a trap. Even when speaking, paranoia sets in.
🔥 Gameplay Highlights
You see a teammate repairing with you... then their flesh twists, their face bursts, and a clone leaps and bites you, inflicting Deep Wound and immobilizing you for a monstrous moment.
You run with your duo, convinced you're safe... until it disintegrates and reveals the hidden monster.
You try to save a clinging friend... but the Husk has left a clone in ambush, which explodes and reveals your entire aura.
🎨 Art Direction
Visceral body horror.
"Too perfect" clones that subtly glitch, then explode into organic abominations.
A brutal contrast between the apparent normality of a survivor and the horror of parasitic flesh.
💡 Why create it?
Dead by Daylight is based on fear and cooperation. The Husk directly targets this mechanic by transforming trust into weakness. It's a killer that redefines the psychology of gaming, capable of offering players a new feeling: constant paranoia.👉 The Husk isn't just a new killer. It's a new experience in Dead by Daylight.
Possible example of gameplay mechanics.
The Husk (or the Impostor)
Power: Cell Parasite, Mimicry.
Special Ability: Cell Corruption
The Husk begins the game in its Primal Form (a large, alien-like creature with tentacles).
To evolve, it must come into direct contact with a Survivor (M1 attack). This allows it to copy their appearance and assume their identity in order to extract a perfect imitation of their body, which it can choose from a range of options (M2).
The Primal Form has a terror radius of 32 meters, with a movement speed of 4.6 m/s.
The Cloned Form has a terror radius reduced to 0 and can deceive Survivors by imitating their actions and behavior.
SPECIAL EFFECT: CLONING
After wounding each Survivor at least once, the Husk can create up to two Clones of the Survivor of its choice every 30 seconds (cooldown between each creation).
Direct Control: The Husk can take possession of a clone to interact, immobilizing its primitive form, then run and surprise a Survivor. It can attack from this clone.
Autonomous Clones: When not controlled, the clones (bots) attempt to get close and mimic the actions of the targeted Survivor for at least 3 seconds (repair, heal, search, etc.) before revealing their true nature and attacking.
The attack inflicts the Deep Wound condition.
The clone attaches to the survivor for 5 seconds, preventing them from escaping, and then disintegrates. (The Husk can also choose to remotely destroy one of these clones by targeting it with (left ctrl).)
The survivor can struggle to free themselves from the clone and escape (the clone will be immobilized until the survivor regains possession of it or destroys it).
Clones can be destroyed with a pallet or immobilized with a flashlight or flash grenade.
SPECIAL ABILITY: CONCEALMENT
When the Husk embodies a clone, other Survivors perceive it as a normal player.
Upon leaving this body, the creature reverts to its Primal Form in a cloud of horrifying, shifting flesh.
SPECIAL EFFECT: REVEAL
When a clone is destroyed, its body deforms and explodes into masses of flesh.
All Survivors within an 8-meter radius scream and reveal their aura for 3 seconds.
Thank you for reading this concept to the end.
I've been a huge fan of Dead by Daylight since its inception. The game has shared my life for nine years, and I'd also like to inspire you with this new type of horrific gameplay and contribute my little bit to the project, perhaps one day seeing such a creature emerge straight from our worst nightmares in the game.
