The american date format seems more confusing to me (MM/DD/YY)

High rank = rank 1

4 petrified oaks.

If offerings makes you wanna hurt people who burn them maybe you should stop playing this game or get some help.
-
Some of us do.Master said:Who cares about rank anyway?

I know rank 1 doesnt strictly mean "best players", not at all, but increases my chance to be paired with better players. I enjoy facing good killers AND survivors, doesn't matter how the match ends. -
In that case i'll tell you mine:XxAtomicAlfiexX said:@Whisky_Glass said:

My best advice is this: check every perk description, test them all and see which one suits your playstyle.i want to hear other peoples opinion, thats why i made the discussion.
Solo: kindred, bond, open handed and small game. If u dont feel safe because you wont be running self care and you dont want to rely on teammates replace it for small game.
Swf: depending on what the others are running, but i think borrowed time is a good choice for swf -
Dont forget to pair it with ace in the hole, i've found an emergency medkit with a styptic agent more than once.@Peasant said:@XxAtomicAlfiexX said:

Pharmacy is the best perk in Dead by Daylight. If anyone says otherwise they are deceiving you.YES!
People will deny the truth as it stares them in the face, but Pharmacy is the greatest perk in the game. It guarantees a https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Emergency_Med-Kit which is arguably one of the best items in the game. Ruin slows the game down but can be broken. Barbeque and Chili will get you points and auras but Pharmacy gives unto its users the glorious Emergency Aid Kit an actual item! Self-Care is too slow and doesn't give you anything, Pharmacy heals much faster with an Emergency Aid Kit. Join the cult, get Pharmacy today!

I respect your lack of Self-Care and DS.

That's why you gotta run kindred when playing solo, allows your teammates to work efficiently if you are hooked.The_Crusader said:Almost every single game now it's the same thing...
1) Facecamp, your team tries for the save and they die for it. Game lost
2) Facecamp, so you do gens, then when you finally power the exit gates you get hit by NOED.
I see now why people only play SWF and bring in toolboxes and all the powerful perks. The game is quickly becoming junk otherwise.
That's if your team makes it that far. Normally someone disconnects right at the start so it's basically a 3 vs 1 game.
Since noed and ruin are a common thing and cannot trust other players to cleanse the dull totems i usually run this when playing solo:
Kindred, Open handed, Bond, Small game.
I'm quite succesful with this build and i dont need SC because i can see teammates from far with bond + open handed, open handed also works with kindred and reveals killer's aura in a 16 meter radius instead of 8. Two days ago, for instance, i managed to escape against a tryhard hag running devour hope, ruin, noed and mori.
PS: swf is nice but i do love to play solo as well, sometimes voicecomms are a mess and you can't hear what's going on in the game. -
I feel you, it's kinda annoying doing well for 10 or 20 matches and then go back to rank 2 because someone decided to camp/tunnel you hard.
PS: glad to see people not willing to derank and stay at rank 1. -
I said clown because many people here only consider billy and nurse the only good killers.Blueberry said:@Whisky_Glass said:

I do play both solo and swf, more solo without self care lately. Sometimes we all get destroyed, sometimes we all survive and sometimes killer gets the average of 2K. Top tier killers sometimes rekt us and sometimes they get rekt, same goes for the "low tier" killer, so it's pretty much a skill issue rather than a balance issue. I've seen skilled players running "low tier" killers with a devastating map pressure and getting 3-4 K easily. Personally i'm doing fine as a solo survivor and my escape rate is above 70% i'd say. As a killer i get 3K at least in almost every match, 2K if i had a bad day and 1K if i'm extremely drunk. Are you saying the game is balanced with the newest patch only? Or during this event because of the added objectives? I'm saying that it's more balanced than it used to be (i'm not including the event) and it's not as bad as some people around say.
Some killers are more powerful than others, that is true, but all of them are viable at rank 1, some of them only require more skills. You see, the problem is that people claim that the game should be balanced around the perfect swf squad, but no one talks about perfect killer players. So if we only focus the balance around that perfect squad we are giving tools to mediocre players to be able to beat good survivors, and that's just wrong. No, all killers are not viable at rank 1. Yes you can easily get to rank 1 with any killer, but constantly performing well and getting at least 2k each game? Not unless you're playing against idiots, which do be fair can be a lot but it's not because the killer is viable.
So if you get 1K in one match you automatically think the killer you are running is not viable?
Regularly 1k yes, I can't see how you could possibly think otherwise. Let's not add "one match" because that's not what I said.
You said "each game".
If it happened regularly the first thing i'd try to do is see where i'm failing at, see other players running the same killer and stuff. Then if i see it's a common thing then yeah, i would ask for a buff, but i've seen different players using non-top killers in a way that made them top tier killers. Last time was yesterday against an astonishing clown who kept the map pressure so well, i was the only one who managed to escape through the hatch with only 2 gens done, and i can assure you we were playing efficiently."each game" does not imply one game.
Also, clown is absolutely not a killer I consider low tier. He is very strong and not one of the killers we are talking about.
I'd like you to show me a game with say a trapper/freddy/wraith not running out of the normal addons that did well and the survivors didn't just play stupid.
I get good results with the trapper without being too dependant on addons.
As for the wraith and freddy i barely use them but i really want to start to use both of them (i main the hag currently) because i've seen really good freddies and wraiths around. People might use better addons with them, but i've seen others runnimg crappy addons or not addons at all and performing quite well.
Addons might help, but at the end it's mostly about mind games and strategy. -

If you escape in 1 out of 25 matches at rank 4 you are doing something wrong. I mainly play as survivor and can stay at rank 1 almost consistently (rank 2 with 3 pips if i get hard camped/tunneled but quickly back to 1 after that)
Try to record your matches and see what you are doing wrong, that's the best way to learn and improve. -

So true, many people think the trapper is weak but that's not true at all. When i start the match and find out that it's the trapper after 1 minute and a half or 2 i know i'll probably get rekt.Khalednazari said:

Some killers understand that every killer needs an almost complete different playstyle, but some others just change it a bit and then think that killer isn't viable.

Yup, same for survivors. They dont need to play by some killers made up rules like not looping, not using a p3 claudette and so on.yeet said:killers are allowed to play how they want to play, they don't need to play by your made up rules and can do whatever they like to make sure you die. -
Kindred is a must in my solo build, although i'd love to have it for free and use that slot for something else i think it would be too much.
Some survivors should learn already that there are other useful perks which let the whole group to work more efficiently and start to use them, because focusing on the objectives gives to the whole group more chances to survive instead of messing around.

I think it was a mistake to merge the vials, even if someone wants to play one side rather than the other i think everyone should play the one they like less from time to time for a couple of weeks at least, so they get to know better how the other side works and what estatements are true and which ones are false.

- When someone comes to unhook me, killer comes back and decides to loop the killer close to where i am instead of luring the killer away from me so another one can perform the rescue.
- When someone far from a hooked survivor sees me going to the hook and yet decides to come over as well instead of keep doing gens. -
Well, that was a quick game indeed lol.
Jokes aside, i don't get how people can have fun by doing that. -
I do miss the pallet vaccum as well, but we gotta adapt. If you see you are not gonna make it to the other side of the pallet before the killer hits you then just try to fake the drop and 360 the killer.

No it's not difficult, you just need more practice.

“An easy fix would be to (1) make NOED baseline and (2) to make it impossible for Survivors to escape crawling. I’m sure survivors would gtfo as fast as they can, as it should be. This would lead to a shorter, more intense end game.“
2 - there's an achievement for doing that, so not gonna happen. -
RBT's main purpose is to slow down the match, and does that job pretty well. Lowering the timer would give the pig easy free moris, so no.

It's fine as it is right now, i don't want that perk to encourage survivors even more to unhook me in front of the killer. Instead, i would like them to buff bps from other kind of actions or change the bps earned by unhooking to something like this:
Hook rescue: 500
Safe hook rescue: 1000
Could be even 250 - 1250 because it's the safe hook rescue what really matters. -

Stopped reading at "MYC is a situational perk". Hooks/Unhooks are pretty frequent during the whole match, if you don't know on what killers to use it or it's situational because you don't get many hooks then maybe it's your fault.@MhhBurgers said:You fundamentally fail at balance so yes, there's nothing to discuss with you.
Most killer perks are situational, ######### like Haunting Ground and Make your Choice can go off without ever doing anything for you while most of the survivor metaperks get used because they are ALWAYS useful or useful at least 90% of the time (heck SWF groups use adrenaline for a reason even tho it's situational in design).
Killers going for these perks are taking a huge gamble
MYC is probably my favourite perk as a killer. -

I can't imagine wanting to keep playing this game as a killer. It has nothing to do with being looped or juked, I suck as a killer and expect it. What I mean is at the end in the chat, the sheer salt when someone dies or taunts, EZ you suck etc etc.

if a killer plays doctor with ultra-rare add-ons, and rude perks i will be toxic till the end when i message GG EZ

Solo: kindred, bond and open handed. The 4th one can be either self care or small game since most killers run ruin at rank 1, plus self care is not that important when u got bond and open handed.
Swf: depending on what the others are running, but i always take borrowed time with me.
