More Demo and Vecna, Less Blight and Nurse

Resilience. Extra speed performing actions, including vaulting windows and pallets. Decisive can be denied and respected. I always run Spine chill with resilience.
-
Hag.
-
No.
-
I wish I versed Trickster more. The view never gets old.
-
If I'm getting facecamped, do gens.
If the killer is chasing me to the exit gate and you decided to hang out there, at least take a hit.

Blame 3rd party software for you loss and complain on the forums about it
I wish I could upvote your comment twice lmao.
-
Yes. Me!
I went against a rancor spirit once. The Head On stun bought me enough time to make it to the opened exit gate. The worst exhaustion perk in the game saved my butt that one time.
-
Yet another thread turned into an us vs them. Moving on.
-
Adding to the comment above, check out Lilith Omen, both on Twitch and YouTube. He's a great Blight.

This is also a reach on my part, but sounds to me this survivor might be a kpop idol. Not a real kpop idol though.
There's the "entertainment" you see in every kpop agency (SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, etc etc). That tweet also really reminds me of kpop idols' social media, especially the "fighting" at the end.
Magnum Opus might be the name of the survivor's group. I doubt that's the case but it's fun to speculate.
-
Hag hands down, especially the ones who run mint rag and rusty shackles.

Resilience, resilience, resilience.

When I first heard of the news yesterday and read a picture of the perk description, I immediately thought it was a prank because it was clearly written by a killer main. It was written exactly how killer mains want it. I had to go watch a vod of the stream to confirm it was true because I couldn't believe it was being nerfed yet again and in a way that killer mains precisely want it.
It is not about how it was nerfed that is important here, it is why it is nerfed. Decisive Strike was not nerfed because of balance reasons. The devs never said the perk was too strong, they strictly talked about the fun factor for specifically one side. It was nerfed because killers didn't like the perk. Killers demand to be totally in charge of their opponent and always oppressing them. DS doesn't win the game by having it equipped, it made the experience playing that side a little more bearable. It was a "fun" perk to use but at the same time a "required" perk to use because despite the rhetoric from the killer side, tunneling is the most effective way to win the game. I know because I play killer as well. If I want to win, I can tunnel someone out of the match and there is nothing that team can do. If it is a SWF team, they'll do anything to help their buddy and then it throws the match. I've seen it from both sides since the game released.
With deactivation conditions which I've said on this forum numerous times which the devs have chosen to ignore, a killer can stop chase after a survivor has been unhooked and if they find that survivor with nurses calling, THEY ARE TUNNELING. The perk is useless. They can work on the objective and thinking they are safe, the killer can stop chasing and return to THAT SURVIVOR and TUNNEL. The perk is useless again. A ghostface can hide, wait for the unhook, wait for the survivor to heal or touch a gen AND PROCEED TO TUNNEL, the perk is again useless.
This perk was nerfed for the benefit of one side at the cost of the other side for not balance reasons, but strictly FUN reasons. It has been nerfed at least five times.
So to answer your question, if you are a survivor main or play solo or duo, then you should definitely quit. This side has been nerfed constantly and consistently for five years with total disregard to mechanics freely given to killer that can make this side miserable to play. Instead of nerfing DS, more perks should be buffed to even discourage its use to help against unfun mechanics. Why couldn't Discordance be buffed instead of nerfing DS? Keep in mind, Infectious Freight on Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Billy are all still a thing, Infectious Freight has never been nerfed, keep in mind it can be abused to cause the survivor side to be miserable. The devs and killers think this perk is healthy, obviously, for the game. An insidious camper can still camp with NOED. A bubba can camp someone in the basement and there is no possible out, a killer recently BUFFED! The devs think this is healthy, obviously.
For me personally, I can not wait for Back 4 Blood, I've been thinking about that game a lot since it was announced and this nerf has made me even more excited and can't wait. Guess the best part is of B4B? Characters will not constantly be nerfed in that game, it will constantly improve. When you enjoy something in that game, you won't have to worry about something being taken away from you. Especially after you bought it.
...
-
Deathslinger, especially with monitor and abuse (also dubbed as Stealthslinger).
-
I still haven't seen anyone mention Darkest Dungeon. I have over 1000 hours in that game despite it being single player. I love everything about it and I still play it to this day.
-
The number of people bashing OP for slugging while the survivors did a last second key swap and brought TWO brand new parts is baffling. Seems like the forums are "filled with whiny killer mains" when it inconveniences a certain side.
I went against a lot of people like this. Not "acting scummy" as one person said will only get you a 5 minutes match and teabagging and gg ez's in post game chat. Another reason why not to give a ######### and play however you want, just like these survivors did.

I'm not banned, and ive been maining her since she came out. You shouldn't call someone cringey just because you don't like the killer they play.
Why exactly are you telling me this? You realize I'm not the one who made that comment, and I didn't say YOU were banned.

Banned from what? I was angry(sort of) but now I'm just confused
Banned from the forums. Look at their profile photo.
You'll see a lot of wild people here, best to just laugh at how stupid they sound sometimes.

How are nurse mains cringey? Also what's your username( definitely not because if I see you in a lobby I'll run double range addons and IF for insulting my favorite killer)
They're banned. One can only wonder why lmao.

People self caring after every. Single. Hit.

Unfortunately, in solo q, it is not feasible to try to do the gens with an overpowered killer and meta perks. Even a well coordinated team can barely win against such. It is smarter to get as many points as possible before the game is over, if you are in solo q. The gates will never be opened unless the killer is a noob.
Don't blame people's mistakes and lack of common sense on others. We all know how infamously bad solo queue teammates usually are, whether it's a Legion doing adept or a ruin/tinkerer/undying Freddy.
-
I would appreciate it if @MandyTalk or another mod could close this thread. As someone else already mentioned, this is an old and outdated thread from last year.

You're maining spirit because you need the crutch?
Honestly, the most unfun killer to play against. I usually just try to harass them and die as quick as possible.
Calm down buddy. Take a breath. You sound stressed out.

Because the developers found the golden formula for what an asymmetrical game should be like, and since its release DBD had no real competition. Friday the 13th used to be the game's rival, but ever since the lawsuit happened DBD has been dominating the asymmetrical horror scene. In short, there's no other game like DBD. When people feel burned out, there's no similar game to go play instead.
-
Yup. I'm a 50/50 player and as of now I have zero hours played in the last two weeks in DBD.
I moved on to Apex and have been grinding achievements on games I've previously played. Once you clock in a certain amount of hours the game starts to feel stale, especially given we only have one mode to play.
I think this is another reason why there are more survivor mains than killer mains. When you're playing in a SWF the game has more longevity. Solo survivors and killers get burned out pretty quickly.

More like all the kiddies party up and like to troll at night so that's the time for the killers to go play a man's game like Demon Souls or something.
Just chiming in to say it's sadly not only kids who purposefully act toxic. A good friend of mine is married and well in his mid-30s, he's a survivor main and has his own SWF group. On Tuesdays, they do the "toxic Tuesdays" where their only goal is to make the killers DC. They think it's funny and harmless so they do it to have fun.
He's a well educated and really intelligent guy. I always thought it's a shame cause I've been the SWF punching bag a few times, and it's not a pleasant experience at all. Definitely for them but certainly not for me.
-
Bubba, cause there's an 80% chance he's gonna camp with insidious and noed.
It might be a meme build but for people on the receiving end of it, it's the epitome of boring and lazy.
-
Like: Demo, Blight, Spirit
Dislike: Deathslinger, Wraith, Hillbilly.
-
I do that to teammates who are allergic to gens and only know how to insta save. Or when they're crouching in a corner of the map for no reason whatsoever.
-
I don't get the point of these threads.
You realize there are toxic people on both sides, right? You and I can cry all we want but we can't control how others react.
-
Here's a list of all of my favorite non meta perks. Enjoy!
Better Together.
Not only does it highlight the gen I'm working on, but it also shows me what everyone is doing when a teammate is downed.
Inner Strength.
Counters the current undying/ruin meta and prevents NOED.
Windows of Opportunity.
Shows me which pallets have been used and whether there is a pallet to begin with.
Bond.
An off brand Spine Chill and a great way to find teammates on gens.
Resilience.
This perk is great since most of the time I don't bother healing.
Wake Up.
It came in clutch so many times when I was the last remaining survivor.
Vigil.
Great with all exhaustion perks. I usually run it with SB.
Autodidact.
Counters Forever Freddy and all anti healing perks.
Pebble.
For the memes.
I won't list the perks I like for killer since this has gotten way too long ๐
-
Well, this thread escalated quickly. Can't say I'm surprised honestly.

I can only speak as a solo q player, and I can definitely see how a SWF situation can be problematic with this perk.
But DS, as it is right now, is borderline needed as a solo player. The killers I encounter try to tunnel people right out of the game (no, not due to teammate's mistakes, bad plays, etc) in more than half the matches I play. It's really bad.
I'd imagine the reason the perk remains untouched is because they're having a hard time finding the right way to balance it between solos and SWFs.
I agree with this. The perk is definitely problematic when it comes to the sweaty SWF, but one game with no DS was enough to remind me why I always use it solo. The funny thing is, the killer, who was the worst spirit I've ever seen, still complained about my teammates having brought DS, meanwhile she tunneled me to DEATH. The minute I got unhooked she'd be on my tail again completely ignoring everyone else. These killers exist and as long as they do DS is necessary.
-
Yes. Decisive in general is a great perk.
-
Self care when I was still new to the game.
Now I either run inner strength or just bring in iron will and resilience.
-
I started off as a killer main, then a couple hundred hours into my dbd career I became a survivor main. Now I'm a 50/50 player.
Survivor: Quentin, Felix
Killer: Blight, Demo, Spirit

They don't need to all 5 as undying breaks first ruin can't be revived(50/50 each time with it increasingly favoring survivors to destroy undying).
So 4 survivors finding 2 totems in the first minute is reasonable and happens semi frequently if you actually play with/against the build at red rank.
Video evidence to back you up.

You're not wrong. I'm tired of being subjected to stupid arbitrary rules. I'm done with people talking smack to me post game. Tired of flashlight flicks on a top floor then them getting mad when I have franlkins.
You're not the only one pal. Behavior needs to start cleaning up the trash otherwise more and more people will stop playing.
-
Seems like adapting to meta perks and playing around them is exclusive solely to killers. God forbid survivors actually have to adapt to anything. If anyone complains about survivor being boring, people like OP ( who happen to be the majority on the survivor side) are the reason why.
Shame how the community is sabotaging the game's own potential.
-
My friend was playing killer on stream yesterday. He got matched against a two man SWF who accused him of cheating because he saw them with BBQ. They reported him in game then actively tried to take his twitch channel down. When I went in to one of the survivors' stream to explain to them how his loadout works, she called me a ######### nobody, said no one cares about me, called me trash and banned me from her stream.
LMAO
-
I'm just gonna chill and play Apex and the RE1 HD Remaster for now. All of you people playing killer out there, you have my respect.
-
Blight aka Quentin's dealer:
- Bouncy
- Fast
- Has the goods
-
Seeing how ######### up matchmaking is there's absolutely no point. Low rank killers go against high rank survivors anyway, the badge color is the only thing that's different.

Same, I love him but his point of view is just awful. I have to run Shadow Born in every build just to not lose survivors when they run through grass.
Yeah I hear you. I just played on Coldwind and man, the corn blindness is ten times worse when playing Blight. Compound 21 really helped me there.
-
Blight main here.
I love this killer to bits. He has a high skill ceiling and feels very rewarding when mastered.
My only complaint is his damn FOV which I still don't know if it's getting changed.
-
I.. Don't wanna get banned.
Please don't ban me for saying I don't wanna get banned.
-
So many people I get paired up with kill themselves on hook just when you're about to unhook them. I despise teammates like that. If you want out of the game don't force me off the objective to get you.
-
For survivor I'd date Felix, for killer I'd date Pyramid head or Deathslinger.
