you don't took a hit while the killer is carring me, you get voted!
you do bones(or boxes) instead of gens, you get voted!
you don't allow me to heal you as I unhook you, you get voted!
you (un)intentionally sandbag me, you get voted!
you drop early the god palet in the killers's shack, you get voted
you hide in a closet as the killer hook me, you get voted
you unhook me while in the killer's terror radius, you get voted
you bring the killer to the gen I was repairing, you get voted
Or you do the opposite of all above, you get voted
That's what I refer to as the survivors' rulebook: teammates edition 😂
-
I can already imagine people getting voted out for running certain perks.
Rip all urban evaders and self care gamers.
-
... And here I was hoping they'd delete that map entirely.

Yes it is very true that killers who have powers that down survivors faster will be picked more, but that's irrelevant. There is a major difference though. What good design killers will do is have a power that changes the chase and makes the survivor adapt to said changes. Huntress is a good example, billy is one too, nurse is also one, and oni is another example. It's a matter as to what the survivor can do to stop the killer from downing them as fast as possible. If someone expects a billy to respect a pallet and he doesn't the survivor goes down immediately. To me that is very fair. The survivor did a bad read and it was an equal opportunity where the billy could've respected it, and the survivor would've outplayed him by reading him. Now say for deathslinger, it is not an equal opportunity to outplay him. If he is able to see you and you are within 14 meters within his range, you will not be able to react to his shot, therefore you have to randomly guess ask to when he is going to shoot. The best play deathslinger can do is literally not shoot at all because he zones people by doing nothing. Chase time and boring killers may correlate, but it does not equal that killers who can down people fast are boring to play against. I agree with you that it sucks to go against a team who do gens efficiently. If anything all that really does is just make you better and for each game you get steamrolled, the rarer it will be that you will lose. I've played this game for a really long time and playing survivor is getting a bit unbearable. The only reason I still play this game is because sometimes they release a new killer who's really fun to play as and/or against. Again the main problem I have with what you said is that imo, correlation to the fact that some killers have fast chase time does not mean that they are boring killers to go against.
That's where I'll agree to disagree, but thanks for being civil about it! Your reply was a nice read.

Can't do anything? Have you tried not tunneling and going for another survivor?
I've had situations where I've chased someone and hooked them, travelled to wherever BBQ told me to go and found a healthy survivor. Said healthy survivor immediately jumps into a locker just to DS me, or purposefully lets himself get downed cause DS is still up.
I'm pretty sure everyone who's played a little bit of killer realizes most survivors use DS offensively, which is why people hate this perk. It's not because it punishes tunnelers, but rather because survivors abuse the ######### out of it.
-
Killers who's powers actually help them get downs will always be picked over the others, especially at high ranks where survivors know how powerful it is to split up on gens. Even if one guy gets downed quickly, the killer can't be at 3 places at once.
It's important to end chases as fast and as efficiently as possible. It might be boring from the survivors' perspective that they can't last long in a chase or have to pre drop pallets, but it's not exactly fun either when the killer gets gen rushed, especially with the amount of second chance perks survivors have. As a survivor you can easily recover from mistakes in a chase, but with mediocre/low tier killers, one mistake is all it takes to cost you the game.
Until survivors get secondary objectives, I'm of the opinion that all killers should be just as strong as Spirit/Freddy/Nurse etc. This is coming from someone who plays both sides equally.
-
Yay. I can finally see Felix's campfire animation.
-
What a mess.
-
I actually think nurse is the perfect type of killer for dbd. If she's decent the survivors can't 1v1 her, rather waste as much of her time as possible. This is how every killer should be imo.

Basicly, lol. I remember watching an Ohtofu vid where someone was being dumb and forced a DS after their first hook. Tofu started going after 1 of the 2 other survivors he had spotted by the hook, but the freshly hooked guy still wouldnt do anything but hug a locker. Tofu went ahead and ate the DS, then openly tunneled the guy off his 2nd hook because he KNEW DS was no longer an issue for that guy.
Hey I also remember watching a ToFu video where an unhooked Laurie bodyblocked for the unhooker with BT then did the big strike. I died laughing when ToFu downed her again then tunneled her after getting unhooked. He was like "shouldn't have wasted your DS."
-
As killer it's the OoO SWF, unless I'm playing Freddy with Unicorn Block.
As survivor it's bot teammates who are allergic to gens and self care after every hit.
-
Monstrous Shrine would like to have a word with you.
-
I like to think of the survivors I play against as a helping tool toward getting better. I don't care about them teabagging or clicking, I'm playing the game to accomplish a personal goal, which is getting better at a certain killer. More often than not, their behavior is mere projection. It's nothing personal against you, it's just them being bad sports.
As harsh as it sounds, at the end of the day they're just random nobodies on the internet to you. So why care?
-
Hey, don't be that guy. By doing that you're only contributing to the cycle of toxicity we're very desperately trying to put an end to.
The survivors you're lashing out at are human beings too. If they get facecamped / tunneled into mori off first hook, there's a good chance they're breaking out the DS/UB combo the next match. I've been on the receiving end of it and I had to remind myself that whoever I get matched with next has nothing to do with it.
Anyway, if I get stomped I think of what I could've done better, and acknowledge that I'll win some and lose some.
-
I had a rank 1 teammate self care against a ruin/tinkerer/undying Blight after every hit. By doing that, not only did he let the gen he was working on regress, but he screwed me and the other teammate cause we both were pressuring gens while injured. In the end me and the injured teammate died and he got hatch.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
The whataboutism in this thread is astonishing.
You people realize not every single survivor runs DS unbreakable right? Even though that's beside the point completely but still, I think we've already established this build destroys solos and doesn't work against SWF.
-
This is the thing I don't get. Why bring a mori and deprive everyone and yourself from bloodpoints? I had a Legion run an Ebony Mori today, as anticipated he ignored everyone to mori me off of first hook. Sweet karma hit and one teammate found a key in a chest. The last two made it out through hatch.
He got 11k bps.
I think this is why there has been less and less double BP events. Boneheads like these crawl out of their holes and make sure no one has fun. Then all the complaints pile up.
-
On my Felix I run Iron Will, Inner Strength, Sprint Burst and Decisive Strike. Solo survivor at red ranks cause SWF ruins the game to me.
For killer it depends on who I'm playing. I'm a nurse main but have been experimenting with different killers a lot. Right now I'm playing a lot of Legion, favorite build is enduring, spirit fury, pop and BBQ.

Been there, done that. I had a long break earlier this year because of frustrations with solo queue. My advice for you is to play killer and set small goals for yourself each match. When I started out my goal was to get some good moonwalks for example.
Like someone else said, when you play killer, you're not relying on anybody but yourself. There's no one to hold you back, sandbag you, or leave you to die on first hook. Become a 50/50 player and the game will be much more enjoyable. Experiment with all the killers and don't be afraid of performing badly at first. We all start out somewhere and no one beside you really cares. Good luck.
-
It would make solo queue much more bearable if bots replace rage quitters. I can't count the amount of matches I had where everyone lost because a douchebag teammate decided to DC. It's even worse when we almost have all gens and they get downed for the first time then rage quit, actively killing our momentum and dooming all of us.
-
I honestly don't stick around to read any ggs or whatever kind of crap the survivors/ killer will cry about in post game chat.
-
Very unpopular opinion here. My favorite survivor perk will forever be Wake Up. It just came in clutch for me so many times.
For killer it's Nurse's Calling.
-
It's that time of the day again XD
-
50/50 player here (currently taking a break though.)
A full pledged Felix and nurse main.

Do you think this time they'll at least put in enough effort to copy and paste festive themed hooks, barrels and lockers? I might be asking for too much, though.
I honestly doubt it, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Just had to chime in, Warframe is AMAZING! I love the character customization, there's events, and LOTS of lore 🥰
Also chiming in to say chroma is love, chroma is life.

I don’t forgive them cuz they did this last year and got hate for it. They just managed to do it worse this year. And they will do it for the winter event like they also did last year. Only real event we get stuff on I can give them credit for is lunar new year those ones end up being alright.
Oh you didn't know? Apparently there won't be a winter event this year.
148 votes and 62 comments so far on RedditThis can change though, and I hope to dear God it does.

Some people are just turds who have too much time on their hands.
I remember one time being matched against a Billy who slugged me and my teammates at 5 gens. He knew for certain where I was since I was the last one to get downed. Instead of picking me up he chainsaws away. To add more salt to the wound, the first person who get downed disconnected, so moving on to the next match took longer because the killer just so happened to be in that mood.
Like someone else said, it sucks but there's no way to fix this without breaking the balance of the game. Just another design flaw you gotta put up with.
-
Everything feels off after the patch.
-
Make the current bug for spirit a feature (as ironic as that sounds).
That small information survivors get now is all what's needed for her to be an engaging killer, while actually giving her legitimate counterplay potential. No more "haha I mindgamed you by standing still."
-
It was the same even before crossplay got introduced. That's just how solo queue is.
-
Why did they use the escape rate as a reason not to nerf it? When were escape rates the deciding factor in changing and balancing perks?
-
Solo survivor is much, much more stressful than killer could ever be in my experience. At least when I play killer and I mess up, it's my own mistake. When I'm playing survivor and being chased for what should be 5 gens and no gens pop, that's me getting ######### over by my teammates. My skill as a survivor simply doesn't matter if my teammates don't know how to hold M1, or know when to stop holding M1 to get me off the hook.

Guessing that’s PC
If you reinstall, will all of the progression and purchases you had at the time of uninstalling be reinstated, or is that all lost?
...and is the result of deleting/ restoring DBD app on console the same with all being lost or completely restored?
Yup. I play on steam, so all my progress and purchases are saved on my account. Nothing is lost. As in for console I can't give a definitive answer, but I can't imagine it being different than pc.. Unless there's a bug.
-
Everyone in the replies have already said what's on my mind regarding this "event."
The thing I felt like addressing is your question near the end regarding survivors. I'm a 50/50 player, and when I play survivor I always use perk roulettes. I get some useless builds most of the time, but sometimes they unexpectedly help me out at a critical time. Unless I get no mither and second wind 😂 I suggest everyone tries this out at least once.
-
Uh oh. What did I miss out on?
-
The "event" was the last straw for me. I uninstalled yesterday and I'm certainly not planning on coming back soon.
I still have hope for DBD, hence why I still keep up with what's happening, but until the devs come with much needed balancing and changes (looking at OoO which is in a fine spot according to the devs), I won't bother investing time and money into what this game has become.
-
I want to go ahead and say regardless of whether they actually do something about this or not, I'm incredibly proud of how everyone handled the situation. We all knew when to put aside our differences and raise our voices against.. whatever is going on in behavior's head. This is the one good thing that came out from all of this.

Charms? Really?
I expected auric cells or iridescent shards, but charms??

They should honestly just give us a 2x bp event or something. I would take that over a "bonus 1000" bloodpoints anyday of the week, Lets also not mention to the devs the fact that it actually costs more to buy the pustula petals then what you get from doing blight gens/hooks so your actually loosing bloodpoints aswell.
Also thats day 1577 of looping killers and hanging around the campfire your up to now?
I think you're mixing me with the streamer Uncharted. I'm just a regular, Felix main Uncharted xD

Nurse is very powerful on The Game, though. It's probably where I get most of my DCs.
It has a lot of LOS breakers. Definitely among my least favorite maps when I play nurse.
-
This makes me wonder how the game is for Switch players. Is it just as bad?
-
After taking a break from playing nurse for a few months, I got back to her again a couple days ago. Which map did I get? The Game :/
-
All I hear is no more standing still "mindgame". Beautiful.
-
You forgot that they basically gutted the fence outside of the school on pre-school. I'd just like to know why. That "tile" wasn't even that strong, especially after the breakable wall on the side got added.
