I'm going to quote a fog whisperer as they've said it better than me.
"What's the point in having an event if there won't be any unlockables like items/skins or even double BP? Isn't incentivizing people to play the game the whole purpose of events? To bring back old players and draw in newer ones? What's going to incentivize people to play now?"

I've been playing DBD less and less. Went from playing it every single day to now roughly twice a week. Between the dumpster fire known as solo queue to the ######### I see when I play killer, I've been given less and less reasons to open up the game page in my library. Dead by daylight has been repetitive, dull and stale for a long while now, at least for me.
I'm much happier playing through DMC5 and making badass combos there. A lot less frustration now since I know a hook suicide/dc won't seal my ######### fate (totally didn't have that just happen to me btw.) In the past I used to just queue up again in hopes of having that one good match, you know what I'm talking about. Now? I'd much rather save up the time and energy. No thank you.

Good.

Good Riddance, it was way too annoying with high mobility killers immediately making a beeline for the gen being worked on by 2 survivors across the map.
Honestly there’s still no counter to it unless you split up, which ironically is bad for the killer.
"It was too annoying for survivors." Haven't heard of this one before. It's as if though most nerfs to killer perks/powers aren't a result of them being "annoying for survivors."

This is the one bug I'll never complain about.
-
I've experienced similar situations both as killer and survivor. Thankfully none of them lasted as long as yours. With that being said, I can already see an issue with your suggested change.
Let's say I get matched with a two/three man SWF against an AFK Wraith. What's stopping them from splitting up on the exit gates and bodyblocking me from opening either of them just to grief and force a depip?

I still bet you're an awesome person! Even if you main both, I also give you virtual hugs

What if I'm not a killer or a survivor main? T_T

well the DS bug had the hook bug going on at the same time to sort of even it out
this is probably not a bug though, shadow nerfs been going on for a while + they snuck in discordance
Even though I hate to think the devs would sneak in something without announcing it yet again, I genuinely do think that's the case.

The replies in this thread remind me of the DS bug threads and some people hoping the bug never gets fixed. Not saying this is related, it's just funny how the cycle repeats itself.
-
No hate to that dude but his content is a cringe fest. He has a habit of degrading killers whenever he's being chased (or at least attempting to and sounding cringy in the process)
"What's your move youngster?"... yikes bro.
Someone else has already mentioned the stretched res and bright filters. Even more cringe.

What are you talking about. Haddonfield is one of the best maps right now.
I genuinely believed you were being sarcastic there, but no, you're dead serious. LMAO

Disappointing.
-
Nea. Every single Nea I've been teamed with/played against is a N00b3 wannabe who throws the entire match just to get a flashlight save- and doesn't end up getting it anyway. My most useless teammates always happened to be Neas.

Bubba.

It's a mixed bag for me regardless of which side I'm playing. Sometimes I get the usual rainbow team while I'm a red rank solo survivor, other times I get grey ranks while I play killer. MM seems to have a mind of its own.

Nice to see someone else who gives the killer that last hook in a farming situation. I've literally had stand offs with killers wanting me to escape while i stand firmly under a hook. Just feels wrong to me to escape when I've likely racked up enough points to keep me happy, and while on console it was a nice way of saying thanks without having to spend 5 minutes typing out a ps4 message.
You worded it perfectly. It just feels wrong not to give something back in that situation.

I play both sides 50/50, so I'm not exactly a killer main. With that being said, I still go against SWF when I play killer, and for the most part I don't mind them at all. Maybe it's just pure luck, but the SWF groups I verse are usually really chill and just want to have fun with their friends. Here's a screenshot from a match I had with a SWF a long while ago.
This person later on said he and his friends usually go against camping/NOED reliant killer, and that they had a blast playing the match.
The only type of SWF that disappoints me for lack of a better word is the four man stack with object. For my opponents to tilt the game that heavily in their advantage is just pathetic. Still beatable, but pathetic on their part.
To answer your question, I don't think knowing they're a pre-made will change anything for me. Sacrificial Wards are finally a thing. What I want to see some tweaks to is meta perks stacking e.g four DSes and Unbreakables.

Now that I think of it, I have a lot of wholesome moments in this game.
Just yesterday I went against a nurse who was struggling a bit but managed to get her 4k. At one point I went inside a locker to get an inner strength heal after unhooking a Bill. For a reason I'll never know, he fast vaults into the locker next to mine, actively letting the nurse know where he is. Mind you he didn't have inner strength or decisive. He naturally gets grabbed out of the locker. Me and the nurse had a good laugh about it then had a small chat before saying our goodbyes.
Another wholesome moment was when two teammates, most likely SWFing together, DCed at the exact same moment at 5 gens. We were versing a huntress and I was pretty much ready to move on to the next game. I hear the huntress coming toward me, so I stand near a window and signal her to come over to me and just do the deed. Instead she shakes her head at me, comes up to me and signals me to farm with her. I let her sacrifice me as a thanks in that game and we became good friends after that. Gokuzu if by any chance you're reading this, you're awesome man.
A similar situation happened with a Myers when two Davids DCed early in the game and he let me and the Dweet farm. We both let him sacrifice us to show our thanks.
I was playing with a friend once and we went against a struggling Billy. In post game chat he said he really wants to learn him, so me and my friend invited him to a custom match where he (and we) practiced for a while.
I can't remember the name of this person, but we got matched together twice, once when they were playing Laurie and the other time when playing sheriff Jake. They mention liking Felix (Felix main here) and in post game chat they complimented me for looping the killer. I'm hoping we get to play together someday.
Last but not least, back when I was still new to the game I wanted to try out huntress. I got matched with a group of red rank survivors who noticed I was brand new. In post game chat they complimented my throws and patience with the hatchets, and told me very firmly to not let matchmaking discourage me from getting better. I honestly wish we can get matched together again in the future.
-
I'm approaching 1k hours in DBD and I remember having matches like these when I was still brand new. It was terrible. There was a huge gap between me and the survivors playing against me. Ironically, it felt like I was fighting to get some downs while they had the easiest time of their life looping tiles I didn't know how to run. This was before the map changes so seeing insane setups on maps like Coldwind and McMillan wasn't something out of the ordinary.
One thing I'm gonna tell you is don't do the same mistake I did. Don't let people like this discourage you from playing the game and getting better, and I'm positive you will. Can you imagine how satisfying it'd be to meet them again in the future and decimate them? Now that's a goal to work toward.
There's a lot of educational killer content on YouTube that helps as well. If you have friends who can play with you, invite them to put to practice what you're trying to learn. If not then I can gladly join a custom match ^^

I'm not a main but Spirit is my go to when I want easy games.
Stridor is the obvious choice because of Iron will. Even if you end up a little further from a survivor due to it, your post phase speed boost lunge helps a lot and should land a hit anyway.
Have good headphones.
Don't be afraid to phase after a healthy survivor, but don't give up an otherwise easy hit for it.
Phasing in shorter burst is better in a chase. Only long phase for travel.
If you're having trouble following scratch marks use predator. It will pretty much give you a red brick road right to the survivor.
Spies from the Shadows works while phasing so you can consider it. Very hit or miss perk however due to multiple factors.
Master the Spirit art of standing still and watching survivors. React accordingly.
Keep in mind what a particular survivor does when you phase or stand still, they'll probably do it next time.
Be aware of the sound bug that makes survivors just stop making any sound. Annoying but just treat them like they're healthy and its not really a problem, just annoying.
That's about it, Spirit is pretty easy to play for how strong she is so with just a little practice you should be fine. I only play her here and there and she's easily my strongest killer.
That was a very thorough response. Thank you :D
