dont use your power unless you see a surv.
dont be afraid to cancel if you are going to overshoot them or if they are out of your 90 degree turn
hitting the demon strike is easier from a bit further away
run perks like infectious fright or i'm all ears (one of my favorites on him as it makes using it at a loop a lot easier.
prioritize early hits over early downs (hit multiple people instead of downing one)
remember both of his strikes hit multiple people so charge a slam if you see them unhooking in front of you
dont be afraid to slug if you see someone
dont be afraid sliding against walls
break pallets with your strike and if they dont throw it down in time they get downed.
at a loop fake one way and go the other way

No, he is the same in every video. He seems like a nice guy, someone I'd like to be friends with, but his content isn't really entertaining. The only dbd streamers I find entertaining are Ohmwrecker, who isn't the greatest player, but is funny, and CoconutRTS only because I love his Blood Warden attempts and how good he is with mediocre perks and add-ons.
i dont personally agree with your views on otz but Coco always happy to find another coco fan

Otz should talk to his lawyers about that guy, that not Otzdarva guy is always stealing his content.
yeah ikr and i think he has taken the rat (holly) hostage from otzdarva. someone needs to call the cops on this mad man.

For anyone who loves to watch Otz, tell me your reasons as to why you enjoy watching him? I like Otz because I learn something new from him quite a bit whether it be from his videos or sometimes watching his streams. He also likes anime which is cool, has a personality that I find very hard to search for in other streamers, and the guy is very good at the game. You can go and tell him right now to use the worst killer perks in the game on Trapper, and you can probably more than likely expect him to 4K.
Really he just never uploads but when he does it is quite good. but between uploads i recommend another ytber he is called something like "not otzdarva" he uploads quite often but he seems to be ripping off otz and is stealing his content. just thought that i should tell you abt him as i have been watching him for a bit and everybody talks abt otz but not "not otzdarva" some one should tell otz abt this guy stealing his vods and his videos.

I like his stuff, he's not so out there trying to be entertaining (others I guess call him dry/unfunny) but personally it's refreshing to watch and get some good learning in. It's just like sitting there with your bud who's not making a big spectacle of showing you the ins an outs of the game.
same he just teaches you and it just clicks. he still jokes around but i just learn so much from him and his higher edited content is also great.
overall just very entertaining.

Same, No0b3 was the best dbd content create, well at least one of them.
really? bc in my opinion i hated No0b3 he was just very unfunny but tried so hard to be. he was lucky to get the subs due to winning the algorithm jackpot. i also dont like how he played on stretched res.

i would love a trickster map bc a city map would be very cool or a blight map bc i am bias towards my main and a blight lab map would also be cool and you could put so much lore it in and easter eggs bc of the blight skins and stuff like that (also i love your polls keep up the good work <3)

yeah same when i first heard abt this game from a friend and i asked him what the powers were and when i heard wraith i thought he would be a cool killer bc i was a active camo user and i liked spooking people. when i first played wraith i loved him so much i just played him for the next 13 hours of my game time. so i could never hate on my bing bong boy he just hits different and i just get flashbacks when i play him. long story short same. he also has one of the best lores

i main adam so doesnt apply to me
the main reason why is bc i like his look with the coat and i think he has the most fun perks in the game.

I don't support what he is saying but yeah that is kinda what opinions are. he/she is entitled to discriminate against other people its just what he/she thinks, you just have to accept that some people have different opinions and we can talk about those opinions in a civil manner.

good idea but way too high for maximum wiggle progress. 75% at most and make it so you recover faster on the ground.

It is terrible idea. I guess you have not been around for very long or just very inexperienced in the game
A timer that goes down when I am not in chase - damn I wonder where I have heard this before. And if you still dont know just google the Legion after initial release and why it got nerfed to the ground. It was for the exact same reason. Because literally EVERYONE was abusing the Deep Wounded effect by dropping chase and survivors were dropping left and right on the ground like flies sprayed with raid lol
wow its almost like i mentioned that so no I am not new to the game I have been playing for 3 years now and next time read the whole thing and the comments before commenting yourself

If they immediately come back to the hook the second the unhook notification goes off and proceed to down the same survivor? Yes.
ok so if they do run immediately back from the other side of the map to the hook and see the survivors and start a chase on the unhooked person it means a few things
- they went looking for someone else and failed and when someone gets unhooked it is guaranteed that half of the team is at least there
- it takes quite a while to run back from one side of the map so why didn't they move?
- they might be in a bad spot
- the teammate might have fled off leaving just him there

watch out before you get called survivor biased because you said something against killer dogma
i think ds is fine the way it is, people just get mad they can't tunnel as easily as they could
other perks are more problematic, ds is largely a non-issue, particularly because 99% of people who use it don't use it well
people also underestimate the power of slugging. simply because someone is on a hook doesn't mean the end of the world nor is it a bad thing. that's 1 person not doing objectives and then a 2nd who has to come heal them
if they have unbreakable, they only get to use it once, with the exception of soul guard and that perk is so situational it's not worth discussing. i also agree, the times where DS has lost me a game were when I was already going to lose
look I get what you are saying but ds is an issue that needs to be fixed. I don't think any killer underestimates the power of slugging it's just they can't due to a few reasons
- they get called a filthy slugger
- unbreakable is definitely worth discussing due to removing the power to slug and I get what you mean the fact it is only 1 use is a big downside but that is still one more second chance you wouldn't get and the extra speed is quite helpful and when combined with ds (which it is most of the time) it becomes even better
- swfs can just coordinate and get gens done
and don't say that ds is used for tunnelling I have been hit by it many more times by an offensive use than defensive.
I don't think killers care that there is an anti tunnelling perk in the game its the fact that most of the time they are hit by it they weren't tunnelling
but I do agree with you yes some people tunnel but most don't
we all want to have fun and I feel like the perk in its current state is a problem for the health of the game

@Bond4ever said:
So if the killer looks to the ground to stop the chase ds Is usseles?..
good point but it still takes a bit of time to stop chase when looking down and he will have to remain looking down for the entire chase and follow you and down you at the end in order to avoid it but it is also 30 seconds long. so if all of those requirements are met then yes I guess but he will have to catch up so unless you are an experienced franks mixtape launch legion that ain happening chief
-
@Ivaldi said:
That's a terrible idea..Why?
Scenario: Killer hooks survivor -> Killer walks to other side of map -> Survivor gets unhooked & DS timer starts -> Killer immediately runs back to hook -> Timer is already running as it takes said killer 5-10 seconds to get back to hook -> Killer downs survivor & now only has to wait 15-20 seconds until DS runs
The easiest solution is to just make it so you can only use DS if you're the obsession and anytime someone is hooked, that person becomes the new obsession. Additionally; you can create a stipulation that if your DS is active, any action aside from healing/vaulting will make its timer run at x2 the normal speed.
This in turn:
A) Prevents multiple survivors from being able to DS you repeatedly
B) Promotes chasing different survivors
C) Removes any way of abusing it.
So if the killer is on the other side of the map is he really tunnelling?

Well, originally it was designed as a screw-you-killer-for-winning-that-chase perk.
It took the devs years to fix that. What we've got here is a kind of compromise, but when some survivor runs in front of me and hops on a gen or makes an unsafe save and then stabs me for trying to stop them, then it should be apparent to the devs that something is wrong and the perk still needs fixing.
I'd certainly like the perk to be an anti-tunneling perk like the one Scott suggests.
couldn't agree more.
-
@DarKaron said:
I've always said this sort of thing would be great for DS.
But as the Devs have said, DS is not an anti-tunnel perk.
It's an anti-MOMENTUM perk.
I get what you mean but it was originally designed as an anti tunnelling perk and everything BHVR says isn't true
cough cough deathsligner not having to deal with looping cough cough
-
No, but it is complicated. What killer were you playing? map? was it swf? what perks did you bring and them? dh on all so you have to bait it out and sometimes just get looped for longer? what items did they bring? any addons on those items? what addons did you bring? all of these need to be taken into account. sure that sounds like a pretty vanilla explanation but what tile were they running you on and how could your power shorten the chase. what happens if they gens before friends? and you cant leave them on the ground in your scenario because they have small pp build and boom all your pressure is gone because you are looking for a Claudette across the map crouching in a bush. Any scenario can make your argument sound good but it is just so situational your example but small pp build I constant it will always activate after you have been hooked. the best perks are ones that are passive hence old ruin, whispers and corrupt to name a few and both of those perks are pretty much passive.
might I also add it is hilarious and hypocritical when you said above to not run hex perks but run them yourself.
-
I was thinking about a camera-related killer don't know how it would work or anything but it would be a neat idea.maybe like he throws a camera that can create a tripwire and slow/expose? or he can swap to the camera and tag the survivor making him be able to see them for a bit and slowing action speed?
-

Or....if you were a good killer and applied a ton of pressure and the survivors are busy doing things other than gens you could just, ya know, eat the DS.
the killer shouldn't have to eat the ds. There is a reason why it is called the small pp build and with soul guard the micro pp build. I just think you need to play a few games of killer at red ranks and you will realise how stupid you are sounding. it's like saying you should have just instadowned them to avoid dh it just doesn't work like that. lemme guess too you think OoO is a balanced perk and you think noed it meta and op?

RULE 424: IF THE SURVIVOR HAS BT YOU MUST HIT THEM
RULE 425: IF THE SURVIVOR IS HIT WHEN THEY HAVE BT YOU ARE TUNNELLING

RULE 427: WHEN PLAYING MYERS NO STALKING

I understand that, but I run DH currently. I do sometimes switch and run sprint burst instead, because DH can be, um, less the reliable.
DH really doesn't bother me as a killer. I can bait it out and you can usually tell when someone has it by the way they play. Just wait an extra second before you hit them.
yeah ik but thats not what makes dh good its the distance which allows for the extension of loops with having to use the pallet wasting more of the killers time
-
@FFirebrandd said:
It really depends on what the build I'm running is attempting to do. If I've got a build that is going to get and keep the Killer's attention as long as possible, then yes absolutely. If I'm feeling a more stealthy approach, I'm going to run Lithe.
You kinda needed a 4th option in your poll.
yeah but i mean as your go to one. like if you could choose one to run every game then would you choose dh but I get what you mean thanks for the feedback :)

Whataboutism at it’s finest
not really, just showing you how dumb your argument is which is getting pissed at them running a good perk for her and only her at the cost of a game slowdown perk. yes it is good on her but once you do get good at her there is no reason to have it and if they do have it then jokes on them for running it when they don't need it.
-
Yeah as people have said direct hits are your best friend as it cancels any actions with the main one you want to look out for being unhooking, opening exit gates and completing generators. the little known fact a direct hit with a bottle not only cancels the action but it increases the blurred visions intensity but it doesn't increase the speed debuff and duration. Another use for the bottles is to discourage the use of that loop by throwing it in the way. so if a survivor would try to run to shack throw a bottle covering the entrance to the shack with your gas. this works most of the time and forces them to abandon their plan and go to a new tile or risk taking a hit. due to the clown's lack of mobility, you will have to rely purely on finishing the chase as quickly as possible to gain map pressure. if where they are looping has a roof like shack then throw a bottle at the roof to enshroud that tile/loop.

Enable spatial sound and bump the audio quality up to 2 in the configuration file.
Not to mention the stand still “mindgame” that works too often. No other killer gets me downs for literally standing still.
trapper and hag can down people by standing still. Just saying.

Look I understand if you main spirit. She has a cool design and intriguing power but please for the love of everyone’s sanity don’t use stridor.
This is the one time playing survivor where what I do doesn’t matter. I could do any mind game and be outplayed because this guy has a perk.
its worse when spirits who clearly don’t need it still run it. It’s training wheels for an already fairly easy killer.
Its pretty much old tinkerer except it only works well on one killer
Even iron will can’t save you from this #########
i had to slog through three of these today and honestly felt like uninstalling. How do they want to nerf Freddy before this?
Take the second paragraph and apply that to small pp build and boom its both ways except on every single survivor and it counter all killers
-
@Ink_Eyes said:
I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but I seriously think unbreakable should be base kit for survivors, punish the killer for slugging too much...
if you could have that then I would take pop as base kit for killers to stop gen rushing. would the be fair? no, it wouldn't because they are both playstyles that give the respective side an advantage. So why should killers be punished for a very balanced playstyle that is very easy to avoid. I am just saying that is the worst idea I have seen as survivors could bring ds and boom built-in small pp build. it is a perk for a reason and killers should not get punished for using a valid playstyle as if they added that to the game. Oni would become one of the worst killers in the game due to not being able to slug.
