Lots of builds and tactics appear OP theoretically just to be easily pulled apart by players with real brains. I'm interested to see some PvP with the rework.
This strategy of placing 6 drones by the 3 gen took ZERO brain power and now the survivors have to play INFINITELY more skillful to counter something THAT TAKES NO EFFORT TO LEARN OR MASTER. Make it make sense.
-
You guys are so small minded. Not thinking of the bigger picture.
I am PATROLLING the area. MEANING the survivors HAVE to move / get interrupted while disarming. MEANING THEY WILL GET HIT BY THE BEAMS. It is unavoidable. The drones also OVERLAP each others radius. They would have to disarm NUMEROUS drones just to get decent safety. All while the middle gen is practically not an option. The point of this rework was greatly reduce the 3 gen capability and this is concrete evidence that it FAILED to do so.
The only salvageable use I can think of is making this killer a full aura reading killer.
Meaning she always know where everyone is. Nothing can be done secretively. Yet her drones have ZERO benefit in interrupting gens / getting kills. Maybe there can be a slight hindered in drone areas. And maybe add a huge risk to disarming. Like you have to land Overcharge skill check and missing it makes you injured. But the full aura reading is ALL up to the killer to use the information to make their move. Then SM players can focus their build on chase perks. These mechanics would be familiar while simultaneously not being exploitative.

This is happening to me as well. Every time I post about it the mods delete my post and lock my account. I even see someone posted about it in the bugs section and THEY CLOSED THE THREAD and said to ask the community as it appeared to be technical issue. The support is trying to gaslight us into thinking it's our computer and software.
My computer is only 5 months old. Its an Alienware Aurora 15 with a 4090.
- I re-installed the game
- I verified integrity game files
- I checked my DirectX for updates
- I checked my Drivers for updates
- I checked Steam for updates
- I ran the System File Checker tool on my PC
- I performed a clean boot and disabled all startup programs
- I performed a Memory diagnostic test on my PC
The crash is 100% coming from the Alien chapter.
-
you literally just wrote all that for someone who has 5k hours and knew all of that.
did you really just use the example of 'seeing the obsessions arura is strong?'
what didgeridoo are you smoking? You are acting like the key does ALL of that simultaneously.
I'm literally encouraging the devs to incentivize using these items. In what world is that going to BREAK the game?
-
No one here is not saying to nerf survivor meta. THIS POST IS NOT FOR THAT.
So again. Brine, Overcharge, and Eruption need to be nerfed.
BTW survivor perks have never locked a game for an hour until the lobby force shuts down. This isn't JUST about meta pick rates.
This is literally about being broken.
-
You really are clowning yourself in the public.
Saying the ability to lock a game for an HOUR until a lobby force shuts down is not an exploit.
You kind of exposed yourself as cowardly killer that needs broken mechanics to win. Like there's no way you look good defending this lol but go off sis.

Today I learned Killer strong perks are 'exploits' and should be removed because Survivors are angry when they can't twerk out the exit gates.
Weird how I never see Survivors claiming the Survivor meta is an exploit. Or voice communications.
That's because the survivor meta was effectively nerfed. EVERY game the survivors have a HUGE VARIETY. It's beautiful. For the first time in years survivors are running interesting and diverse builds. I see balanced landing. I see small game.
And even when they do bring Dead Hard - the successful DH is RARE. The Meta shake up was EXTREMELY effective with Survivors.
You CANNOT argue that this killer meta is not problematic. LOCKING a game for an HOUR is an EXPLOIT. That is not up for debate.
And you defending it is HIGHLY questionable. I took these screenshots because I knew the exploiters would try to say its not meta or a problem. Sorry hun. I brought receipts. You didn't.
-
You know what... I'm posting the rest of the screenshots.
This is so pathetic that I have to do this
-
The fact the devs have left such a broken exploit in their game is quite disgusting. And yes this is an exploit. Just because it is working as intended does not mean this is not a broken mechanic. There's a reason all of the killers are using this build. It's because it is borderline cheating.
There are literal videos of killers locking players in an hour long game until the lobby self destructs. HOW WAS THIS NOT KILL SWITCHED IMMEDIATELY? That is UNREASONALBE. This should have been addressed that day.
I had a 3 day weekend for the holiday and this is only HALF of screenshots I took. I'm too exhausted to keep editing more evidence

One night of playing DBD I was able to collect these screenshots... ONE... NIGHT

I have 4k hours in dbd and I have to say this patch has been absolutely miserable. I love the change to the meta but there was overwhelming too many buffs to killer.
Camping and tunneling has always been an easy way for a bad killer to DRAMATICALLY swing game outcomes with minimal effort.
Now that gens take longer but hook states are still the same amount of time its absurd the reward that bad killers get from low hanging fruit.
The one thing I've never understood about this game is why minimal effort is so highly rewarding for killer?
-
So the devs really did not think this killer through.
She has stealth
She has disorientation when looping
She has speed
She has travel distance
She has natural gen slowdown (which is not rewarding for survivor at all)
She has the ability to kill survivors early
All of this is before you add perks....
And yet they label the killer as "Hard" to learn. She literally the easiest passive killer I've seen in the game to date.
-
Or even - you're exhaustion can recover while running - but at half the speed.
So 80 seconds
-
I didn't say I hated Noed. In fact I myself have no problem with it because I cleanse all 5 totems myself without the help of perks or items. 3,000 hours in the game does that ;)
And what I suggested is equally as powerful.
The killer still gets gen slowdown because each survivor would take time cleansing
If they don't then the killer still has exposed and haste -same as original
If they do individually cleanse, the killer still can have haste with the 5th totem
It essentially gives the same exact benefit except more intuitive to counter
And since you're comparing it to newcomers, imagine being a newcomer and trying to grasp why the killer is insta-downing everyone
And then learning that it's a Hex perk that doesn't operate like any other Hex perks. All because its a crutch for awful killers.
This new balance incentives that all of the team contributes to get their immunity. Where in solo-que you have no control over your team.
Other than that it functions exactly the same.
Sooooooo..... Your whole post is invalid. Try again maybe?
-
I think you just need to take the loss and de-rank so you go against survivors that are more your skill level.
Because Prove Thy is literally the last perk to complain about. You just need to get gud
-
Wow of all the challenges to complain about....
You do realize that is saves every second of progress???
So even if you only do 3 seconds cooperatively it still counts towards the challenge.
Meaning you don't literally have to 0-100% the gen cooperatively. You can do a little at a time.
-
I MEAN THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH CONTENT AND EFFORT THEY PUT INTO THIS GAME THAT NO ONE WILL EVER EXPERIENCE BECAUSE IT TAKES THOUSANDS OF HOURS TO UNLOCK
I have 1,300 hours and still haven't started with killer teachables yet. (Unless what I want is in the Shrine)
-
There is no gen speed problem. It's called survivors playing well and efficiently.
When people play well it doesn't mean the game needs nerfing.
Maybe you just need to lose and depip and maybe you'll face players that are more equivalent to your skill.
-
I want a Conjuring Chapter with Ed and Lorraine Warren
-
I actually eat their first born child. why?
-
consoles are getting a lot of crashes. Their DC penalties would be years lol

I like all but the pallet creation. Really like the adrenaline shot and the slingshot. Reminds me of the blight serum for the Halloween event and the slingshot would be a nice item to have, also.
I didn't say pallet builder lol
-
I also thought a CONSTRUCTION KIT item would be cool. It allows you to build ONE breakable wall in a doorway after 16 seconds. So its not permanent and at max only 4 can be built if every survivor brought it.
Some killers instantly think 'OP!!!" but that's 1 less medkit and toolbox. Plus its breakable
Or the idea of an ADRENALINE SYRINGE. It does NOT heal but applies 3 second sprint burst. 1 time use only.
Or a SLINGSHOT which is similar to diversion but in item form. Only 2 uses.
These things are more meme than meta but would inject some fun into dbd
-
Plus us survivors have to go against nurse and spirit. So just because you play Michael doesn't mean we only face Mikey. Survivors play them all.
-
As a frequent Dead Hard user, it fails me more than it works. And I bet that's an actual statistic the devs can back up.
So just a reminder to killers, you only notice it when it works. When in reality you have received thousands of downs on failed dead hards.
When someone pulls off a successful DH, it's probably because they were already superior at looping you.
DH grants you 1 second of immunity and hardly any distance. If the survivors do achieve distance that's because they skillfully planned their route. That's fair game and not any fault of dead hard.
And it's no different than Sprint burst. SB adds time to the beginning of the chase where DH adds time to the end of the chase. Its the same extension except you are so thirsty for the down you only complain about DH.
-
I've been wanting to see new items in the game for a long time. I agree the duration needs to be much shorter though.
-
Flashbang is fine. Wraith is extremely oppressive to unhooks. Maybe few years back he wasn't so strong but the devs have almost buffed him too much. almost... it's still mostly due to his mega add-ons.
-
I have 2K hours in the game and already know those strategies. I'm not talking about this from a survivor perspective.
As a killer the oppression is too weak at the start and enormously too strong at the end.
-
Hell. No.
-
I agree Blight could be a chilled a little like 0.001%
Just a c*nt hair
-
Absolutely 10000000000% agree that something NEEDS to be done about this
-
Bruh the game is 6 years old and now they're worried about censorship and bans?
Chill Behavior its not that deep
-
Totem spawns are fine. That's the gamble you make for brining game changing perks. Don't bring hexes then
-
I'm not asking for players to change. I'm asking for the game to change. The easiest things for killers reap the biggest rewards.
Where the hardest part for survivor (being able to route and loop) is what rewards them.
I want the game to REWARD killers for going for challenging gameplay over easy.
-
Im pretty sure they added AI bots in DBD Mobile because of the frequency of DCs. Playing on phone can be interrupted by phone calls, texts, service issues, ect...
Sometimes playing 'On-the-go" can have moments where you need to leave the match immediately. So I think this was to provide a smoother experience.
Nice stretch tho comparing DBD to DBD Mobile
-
While a no-ranked quickplay is interesting, I have no idea why you added all that extra BS. Just keep it normal DBD. Faster match making at the expense of ranks.
but ultimately... Nah. We don't need to split player base anymore.
-
Spirit mains are sweating bullets right now lol. I'm sorry you've been carried by an unfair, imbalanced build but your time will come.
There are killers with weaker builds than you and still manage 4ks. Get gud
-
Pig is one of the most morbidly imbalanced character's in the game.
Primarily due to her skill-less RNG traps that requires guess-work to counter. The traps need to be MASSIVELY reworked to be FAIR.
The keyboxes should be limited to only 2 but spread on opposite ends of the map. Any keybox should be a GARAUNTEED removal. Eliminating random guess-work completely.
The Pig can still defend the keyboxes but players will always have a second one across the map to resort to.
Shorten the timer I don't care. The random guess work HAS TO GO.
I think the biggest mistake the devs made was focusing on zero-interaction RNG trap made to get kills.
The power should be more about gen slow down. Leaving the kills to player interaction.
-
No we don't need RNG AI added to game. The killer and survivor interaction needs to be based on skill. The more you try to incorporate AI into achieving your goals the less credit you get for winning a match.
In fact too much RNG is not good for any PvP game. Thankfully DBD keeps it within acceptable range but even 4% kobe can cost a winning killer to lose the match.
Do you want survivors to have AI helpers? No? Didn't think so. Think critically before you open a portal to hell.
-
I wouldn't say survivor gameplay is nerfed. It's just repetitive. We just have a HUGE discrepancy between perks. The perks are either meta or useless and there is no in-between. It forces a very repetitive play style. A lot of perks made to counter strong killer perks are often not good enough.
Like Breakout, it sounds like such a fun perk but it requires you to run empathy to find potential survivors. And chasing the killer around may or may not result in a drop. So you could just be wasting time. So I think Breakout could use an additional effect. Maybe similar to empathy but with far less range.

As others have said this is a problem with the people who play wraith not wraith himself. I play a lot of wraith and I think he's a ton of fun in chase getting to a loop then mind gaming with the survivor about which way I plan to use my lunge as well as faking out when I'm uncloaking or any other mind games. Not everyone plays like that nor should they be forced too.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be forced to. I'm saying they should be more incentivized to stay in chase. A lot of these chases already have an injured survivor involved but for some reason they choose to abandon chase and go back to hook. I think slightly lower speed and quicker uncloak will nurture a more healthy game experience for all players. That's why this post isn't about nerfing. It's about balancing.
-
AND LIKE IT SAYS IN THE TITLE THIS IS NOT A NERF
-
@GrimReaperJr1232 said:
I mean... that's not a reason for a killer nerf. That's just people playing in an unfun way. That's like asking for a bubba nerf because a lot facecamp
No I think the devs overly buffed his speed which means he can easily tunnel low hanging fruit.
Unhooked survivors being the most vulnerable. Their location is stationary, they are injured, and the killer is notified.
I think if the devs buffed his uncloak it would make Wraith players more confident in staying with their current chase.

@ Antares2332 said:
"I believe the devs need to nerf his speed"
You mean his speed in general or just when he's invisible?
They need to nerf his invisibility speed and make his uncloak faster.
