I also just started playing again, hoping as a survivor only player (and granted I started playing at an advanced age and am not great) that dbd had maybe made some effort towards fixing the slugging/tunneling problem. Even if I lose, it can be fun IF the killer plays in a fair way.

Sadly, that is the least of my problems. I have played 5 games, ALL five ran gearhead, nurses calling, lethal pursuer, and then deerstalker or another aura perk along with at least one addon that is also an aura addon. So if you heal, repair generators or do anything basically, she can see you, and then they use an addon that makes her beam of light either move faster, further or bigger.

I appreciate a good game, with a good killer, with talent (like a good huntress that that plays fairly and doesn't feel the need to make the game as easy as possible on themselves just so they can win.

I wish people still enjoyed playing a game and challenging themselves. Not being happy with an easy win, knowing that their competitors have no chance. When people watch videos of this killer getting a 4k in 45 seconds and they jump on the same build because it is easy, is just ridiculous.

There should be a limit of certain types of perks for certain killers, and they need to stop making killer perks stronger and stronger (like gearhead) while lessening survivor perks.

They keep saying they will make it better and then they just make the killers perks stronger and stronger. I have stopped playing for long periods of time, many times but this may be where I draw the line. I don't usually get upset at games, it's a game. My ego is not based on me winning or losing, but I at least want to have fun and not being able to survive for even one minute or to heal even one time is not fun and gets frustrating.

just play a few more matches/in2 weeks it will be easier because the MMR reset brings the good killers back up and leaves you or your bad teammates in low MMR where you just have to handle baby-killers… PLUS 90% of the jundgement players will play Jason, ghul, wesker and bubba again… the bubba by the way will carry you to a hook. Will camp you will down you again and will that thing the whole match …. Then you have to deal with the same ######### ever and ever again and see a judgement just every 30 matches or so …

  • I hope not. A quiet place was such a garbage horror movie

  • no thanks , better a no perks mode

Honestly though because Exile doesn't count as a hook and it's not an m1 killer the only perks really left for the Judgement are aura and gen regression. I think the aura addons could be looked at, but I think aura working as a whole is fine. I just wish Exile counted as a hook, it would fix so many issues for build variety on the killer and for perks becoming useless for survivors

it’s good that it doesn’t, no DS, thanks god (judgement) it’s so annoying to have 3 DS running against you and silly survivors that hunt down the killer just to get downed so they can use their perk…. It has to be as it is!

  • maybe buy a PS5 and play on console… if you don’t have enough money for a new pc… a console is way cheaper

  • let me say…. No! Just get better… by the way it was MMR reset that’s why you maybe play against stronger killers than usual + you are not used to play against the new killer… wait a little and you will face baby-killers again.

  • guys , L2P … the only thing this killer is strong is when he sees auras. Guess what there is a fxing perk to counter it… there are several. But I could give you the advice “take the totem that hides everyone in its area, and maybe also the totem from the new survivor” when he can’t read your auras he can’t finde you that easily… and it 4 people run the same totem and use it on 4 totems that’s annoying as hell for the killer because all the aura read doesn’t work anymore…

addapt to him is not that hard and his special is easy dodgeble

  • yes it’s totally stupid - way to survivor sided with all the perks they get by the mode. - worst of all repair-speed -buff

  • the mode is way to survivor sided as every damn mode in this game. 4 perks for survivors directly equipped to them by the mode in a mode without perks is insane

Should a game be a win for the killer when no survivor escaped and there are only bots alive so the killer can skip the game without losing his bloodpoints?

asked for the same month ago

  • I think it would be useful, but if it’s to much as base kit give it to her as add on to her power, so she has to spend one add on slot to make it possible … that would be a fair trade I guess

  • @Wezqu said:

Yeah and make Legion even more oppressive than he already is with this change. If they want to use the stamina on something they should keep it in its own mechanic not lump it into another that would demand changes to existing characters because of the effect this would have with it.

it’s not a problem, it’s ok to put it in here , the alternative would be to delete the „stop bleeding timer“ when the survivor runs to make deep wound dangerous again. So that you also bleed from deep wound to death while you in chase. It is a joke that it stops when you run. A deep wounds should be a hindering for running because you re dangerously wounded. - that would be the logical thing that you always lose your bar when you re wounded no matter if chased or not.

Deep wound as it is today is totally useless for every killer

  • that’s just the chance to make it a little harder to survivors…. That’s what it should be not a picnic in the park … -that’s why also the 10second timer before the stamina bar exists…. So you can’t get insta pressured and also be able to use your little speed boost after getting hit by the killer… this way it would be fair to both sides….

Thinking killer doesn't have any handholdings or basekits lol

yes they haven‘t, everything just for survivors… there is nothing for killers - or in planning for them….

  • Matter of fact I use abandon not that often, sometimes I try to hide from the killer to bleed out. Or try to crawl to find the hatch anywhere… I just abandon when I have to do something else in RL. But are you sure it changes the escape rate? It shouldn’t when you abandon it should count as not escaped because you didn’t „escape“ if that’s like you said behavior should fix it because it wouldn’t representative right stats

  • you can get your anti slugging when the killers get Lightborn basekit instead

  • because of the easy survivor life I’m open to tunnel one out every second match to secure a 3 kill in the long run sometimes even 4K if I slug the last one to not give them the escape-hole - that wouldn’t be necessary if survivors wouldn’t get every possible buff while killers get just nerfs …

but since it’s what it is I tunnel if I feel like it’s necessary

So you think winning half of your matches (of a small sample) makes survivors too strong? I certainly expect to escape a minimum of 50% of my survivor matches, just like I expect to win more killer matches than I lose. Should people with experience plan on consistently losing more than they win? Why would anyone keep playing if they never advanced in numbers?

you said - escape should be by 40% and even high MMR are under 50% normally … I said I escape more than I die… (and I’m not even great in running Parcours … - imagine the numbers of good survivors … )

following the normal dbd stats that should be the escape should be by give or take 40%

End game saves are pretty easy against most killers if the whole team is alive and the hook isn't on the opposite side of the map from the gate. Can't say I see many survivor teams losing in end game against a camping killer.

Please do share your stats if they're that high.

    IMG_0016.png

slightly over 51% but more than dead

  • no that’s fine … the killers also have this deminishing return on their haste builds

So if survivor plays itself, then everyone should have ERs way beyond the target 40% then, right? Can you show me all these drastically high ERs that are well past the range? Or maybe it's that survivors have just enough to maintain a (losing) average against increasingly strong and complex killers. Because even high MMR players average below 50% in the official number.

oh it’s that easy to escape, most games are just lost because the 3 guys try to save the one that is hook-camped during endgame and then they sometimes get a backlash…. I escape more than I die and most likely not alone… - it’s that easy when you play with a brain and a little skill… not every match for sure but enough to say survivor is a joke right now …

  • if you want perks then offer one perkslot for it… hell I’m fine with basekits but then give the survivors one less perk slot

  • @Vergiveren said:

What is basekit other than borrowed time?

how about self unhook- that wasn’t there in the beginning when camped

  • I think they should scrap ALL Basekits…. This games has become a joke with basekits for survivors

  • no more basekits, kiddo. Just play the game! Or do you need a babysitter?

  • it’s some kind of weird, had another round where it was there and others where it wasn’t

  • @Drunkenmunky said:

    Make unbreaka-bill base kit.
    SoloQ is already miserable.
Not having a chance at all is boring.
1v4 doesn't feel like it's worth playing at all.
Killers should try to just get better instead of exploiting mechanics.
I never complain when I get rolled as a killer. It makes me a better killer.
It's just a waste of time if survivors can't get to 2 gen.

At this point I'd rather play 4v16 than 1v4.
It's boring to not have the ability to complete actions to earn bp.

Ya can't just keep killers happy if no one wants to play survivor as you need 4x the survivors for one round.
People who complain about killer ques need to realize it's because survivor is so miserable.
    (end rant)

I don’t think so… in fact you get all these playstyles you hate because of basekit this basekit that. Because of basekit unhooking yourself, when camped. Basekit anti tunnel so you can’t get downed after unhooking and all we naturally tend to use the best strategies against survivors like tunneling or slugging.

In the early time there where no basekit perks but you guys had to cry for your babysitter to get basekits … guess what . The killers are not your friend and we will do everything in our might to kill you.

And when it’s slugging because of two many second chance perks in game or flashlights or pallets… well get ready to get slugged and if you don’t like it, take these perks in your inventory and pay for it with a perkslot…

im putting down No as more of a "There's Nuance" answer, since your poll options are… VERY specific.

i think that giving out the Vicory BP to the killer is a very good idea! but I think MMR alterations should account for the significantly shortened game in some way. in what way, im not sure - i dont have a good enough look at how DBD's MMR works to say, but I do think it should be accounted for beyond just "the same as a normal 4k" because it isnt the same as a normal 4k.

killers that get abandons could be due to a game they've won fair and square, or it could be because they locked plague and lucked out against four ppl with emetophobia. those wins, to me, are not equal, and treating especially the latter as a normal win seems wrong. maybe VERY short matches where the killer gets an "all bots abandon" give victory bp, but no mmr? unsure.

I think it should give a partial MMR for the killed survivors that get killed until about 1 minute after they get a bot. But no MMR for bots after this time (because often people disconnect before they get hooked or get downed) but full Bloodpoints for the kills and hooks so far, maybe + 1000 BP per Bot that’s still alive when the game gets Closed.

As it is today, when you close a game when you re the killer and there are only bots left (4people disconnect) - you get -0- Bloodpoints and gets punished as a loss when you also disconnect and this can’t be ok in my opinion . Because fighting against bots is a waste of time when there isn’t even one player on the other side left , I hope the defs see that poll and change something a little

  • Next possibility: a little girl. A creepy little girl with knifes or needles... 3 sisters, all same style... all on one map, you always can play one of them and can change from girl to girl. The two which are not controlled are just walking around so the survivors can’t easily say which is controlled .

Perks could identify survivors in a 16 meter radius to not controlled girls

other perk girls singing around- doubles terror-range
