I did not, no, I'll give that a shot.

We do state about our reporting procedures in our game rules https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules for players that you suspect of cheating, video evidence would be required to supplement the in-game report.
So it's literally useless for 99.99% of players. Who is just randomly recording all their games?
-
It's "good news" but I'm gonna be real with you BHVR - I actually just don't trust you with this. Reports actually DOING something? I'll believe it when I see it, not before.

once again twins is an outlier. you can blame the killers that slug for the 4k at 5 gens for screwing twins. Maybe now bhvr will finally get around to that rework of the twins. This change needed to happen because killers couldn't help themselves.
Twins might be an outlier, but the real outlier that needs changing is nurse.

Sure, give Charlotte a way to teleport to Victor then and we'll talk.

correct.
According to them the way I read it, Unbreakable will be changed only to give you recovery speed for others to pick you up faster. But getting up on your own will remain 45 seconds
"Unbreakable: Now increases dying self-recovery speed by 80/90/100%" That's all it does as I read it.
"After being left on the ground for 45 seconds, Survivors will now gain the ability to pick themselves up without the need of any Perks. This time is affected by recovery speed effects."
re-read the last sentence there
-
Actual suggestion to make this fair: Picking yourself up from the ground costs you a hook state.
-
Slugging is now utterly unviable on every killer. Lots of killers massively nerfed by this, mostly ones who were already weak in the first place.
Honestly enough content creators are going to put the effort into laughing at this that I don't feel the need to do so myself. But in general:
Can we stop ruining the entire rest of the game because of nurse and just nerf nurse instead already?
There's nothing I can really pick out that's good from this update. Would just not do any of it. Unsalvageable.

I encounter more and more killers who kill 2 and leave the 3rd on the ground and go searching for the 4th, and if they cant find the last one, they try to get the 3rd surv to help them.
Why is the hatch so scary for some killers?
Why do they have to be like that?
Yeah 99% of the time this isn't me. But adept / some tome challenges can force it. Also if a group has been teabagging all game then why not.
-
If I can't have the old re-use back then let me store multiple charges.
-
Honestly I really don't understand why people hate being slugged so much. Whenever a killer leaves me on the ground it's just meme and value town.

Let me ask another question. Why is Huntress still a thing? Just dear god, no thanks.
Though I had a fun game yesterday when all 4 survivors heard the lullaby and immediately just gave up and she seemed to understand and just memed with us for a while.

On a tangent, not that these stats mean much, but I just noticed that Sadko and Dredge are in the top three killers for kill rate over the last 30 days on Nightlight. (It’s Sadako, Nurse and Dredge in that order.) Obviously I don’t put much stock in these individual killer numbers on this site since its they’re based on voluntary uploads and swing pretty wildly month to month, but thought it was a funny coincidence since the thread is complaining about both of them. 🙂
I always find that the "worst" killers tend to get the most kills in my survivor games. I attribute this those killers nearly always sweating insanely hard in their playstyle and almost always bringing their top addons, while more regular killers are still a mix-bag of whatever addons they felt like.
Like I don't think I've ever seen a Sadako who isn't shamelessly teleporting right back to every single hook. And it's been a LONG time since I saw a trapper without at least one of the iris.

I'm not so sure we can continue to accuse them of "increasing the grind."
The bloodweb price cuts alone have effectively replaced BBQ & WGLF bloodpoint boost.
To your point tho... I think there is something to be said about the influence BBQ had on killers' playstyle.
I'm convinced half the campers just don't know any other way of finding survivors but they win just camping without BBQ so why put it back on.
-
Survivors: Huge buffs to anti-camping and tunneling, basekit. We still aren't even close to having enough. Give solo players some more information to bring them into the same league at least.
Then we buff killers further, although this should either be individual buffs to the weaker killers, or general killer buffs paired with simultaneous nerfs to the strongest killers. Like cmon, if nurse blink attack counted as m2 and all her blink recharges took 2 seconds longer... she'd still be the strongest killer.
-
1) Hatch often spawns in one of a very few places, roughly. So take a guess that it's there and you'll often be right.
2) Pay attention to offerings
3) Some hacks show it

Did the gates close? Are the generator done? Are you all instantly down and on death hook? No? Then the game is not over.
Does it blows when one of the teammates DC? Sure do, I hate them. But I don't give up for that little. 3vs1 is still winnable.
Winnable? Sure, at what, 0.1%? If someone only has time for 3-4 games in a night, they might not want to stick around to scrape out a once in a lifetime win that nearly every time just wastes their valuable free time.

Playing survivor is really bad right now. They nerfed everything. Even perks like Spinechill got ruined, I never use it now
Survivor isn't ruined by nerfed perks, survivor is ruined by camping and tunneling continuing to be encouraged by the game designers while we get scant nods to reducing it.
-
I see your "off the record must be removed" and I raise you "off the record and decisive strike should both be base kit". Just don't tunnel lol.
(Ideal world: both perks are base kit at full value but the survivor is highlighted to show they're effected and have no collision for the duration. Tunneling dies, abusing them to bodyblock dies, everyone is happy unless they're actually just scummy).

Why wont BHVR do anything?
at least Killers should stop working with survivors and just kill everyone. The more I think about it, the Killer has a lot of blame here for allowing these 2 trolls to do what they did. He should have showed up and massacred everyone and forced them to play or die.
This is why I want the Killer community to STOP playing Dungeon master and letting certain people go, working with survivor.. etc. Just kill everyone. Don't work with survivors, and kill everyone. Problem solved.
They won't do anything because they just don't care man. We've been complaining about this ######### for over 6 years, they just don't give a damn.

Fix? Literally all you have to do is play around it. What if I feel entitled enough to want BHVR delete flashlights instead of playing around them?
If you're on the hook there's nothing you can do to "play around" being camped, unless you mean tabbing out and watching Youtube, or going and putting a snack in the oven. But you weren't being sensible in the first place with a response like that.

The hitbox feels fine now when it works, but I've been rubberbanding like crazy since it was adjusted.

If I see a survivor with a toolbox, they're getting hard tunneled from the jump. Odds are they have on the complete bs BtL hyperfocus stakeout , so no anti tunnel perks. You wanna tunnel gens, I tunnel you
Don't worry man, NOONE has the anti-tunneling perks. Getting 2 seconds (after the 1 second of animation) to escape your nurse or blight doesn't really do anything.

Not small BM's like flashlight macro at the ground to get you to chase them. Like outright tbagging after every pallet/window. Flash macro for no reason mid chase to just be rude. Emote spamming at you.
Why do these people get mad when you tunnel/camp them out of the game? They are literally asking for it with these kind of taunts (especially if you know they're a 4 stack).
Good chance they're under 18 (and thus shouldn't legally be playing a PEGI 18 game anyway). If they're on steam it's always worth checking if they admit their age on there so you can report it ;)
-
Loved this as survivor. As killer... yeah some got ruined and some were fine. 6/10 event that could be an 8/10 with some retuning.
-
@Rizzo can we close this? I changed my opinion days ago and people are still replying to the first post without reading anything else. Had enough unmoderated personal attacks on something that's not even current.
-
There's just two Megs in that trial.
-
I'm pretty sure it's got an increased occurance rate right now, I get it 50% of games.
Weird that you're finding it to have too many pallets and vaults though, it's been VASTLY killer sided in every game I've tried it on, both as survivor and killer. Unfairly so.

I adore playing as and against Nurse. I really don't get all the Nurse hate.
People like knowing they have a chance at winning the game when they enter it, even if its a small one. Your only chance when you hear her seagull screech at the start of the game is to pray that she's played less than 4 hours on her.
Nurse can be funny sometimes in SWF where you can all use beamers to stop her teleporting after your friend, but I absolutely can't fault a solo queue player for just getting out of a game now instead of in 2 minutes when it ends anyway.

I don't understand the idea that Sadako is placed as the worst killer in some tier lists, I don't even understand how she's the worst stealth killer, I think Myers is worse than Sadako because he literally needs set up that if he can't get he loses a lot of gens and he can't traverse large maps as quickly, obviously this is my opinion so why do people think she is the worst?
It's simple really - she doesn't really do anything.
-
I saved up some bloodpoints for the new chapter so I could get Rebecca leveled up fast - by the time I'd spent them, my friends had played 3 entire matches without me. Crazy how slow it is. Obviously not a complaint about the cost changes I'm not insane.

I don’t know why it’s a bad thing for a killer to try and get a 4K. Have you considered just not unhooking a teammate? Do you really need the 4 escape that bad? Why not just settle for 3?
Why wouldn’t it be disadvantageous for survivors? That’s literally the point. The killer already got 2 kills and downed a third. It is meant to be in their favor. Same way it is when gates are open and a killer has nobody on death hook.
The OP wasn't saying it's disadvantageous, the OP was saying that it was boring.
DBD is a game. Ideally it should encourage people to actually have fun by making the advantageous play pattern actually enjoyable.

Okay so you are not the context provided in which it causes camping, as outlined in the opening post :P
-
@SuzuKR said:
You’re telling me you didn’t unhook someone in 90s and that’s still not enough?
I mean. Yes? Facecamping huntress be like that.
-
Honestly I think this is a combination of:
1) Reassurance having obvious white-aura confirmation for the killer, telling him that someone has just been within 6 meters
2) Less killers running BBQ since the removal of its BP bonus
If your regular killer is anything like me, they're like "finally, I'm not forced to run BBQ anymore!", and now vastly underuse it instead. Some people can make do without, but I bet a lot of the recent uptick in camping is people who were unknowingly completely reliant on BBQ and now hook someone and just... can't work out where to go next.
So they have no idea where survivors are because they became reliant on a crutch that they're now doing without (even though they aren't forced to), and suddenly a little white glow tells them *someone is here*.
-
As a survivor I hate it when killers tunnel and camp. It might not need to be said but for some reason people don't always understand this, so spelling it out: tunnelling and camping is an unfun gameplay experience.
As a killer, I like to think that I have enough self-awareness not to tunnel and camp most of the time, even if it leads to me losing or having a worse performance, because I don't want to ruin the game for other people. But even with that mindset, I still do it sometimes. Those times are:
1) The survivors have brought a map offering to somewhere my killer just has no chance at even contesting the game. If you're making an active decision to give me a bad time, I no longer care about your fun either, so I'll just camp/tunnel my heart out to get the game over as soon as possible.
Actually that's mostly it. Rarely I'll also feel forced to remove someone if circle of healing reaches the point where letting people continue to get free resets would just be idiotic.
Edit: It's worth noting that this rule applies to fully committing to tunnelling or camping. If I have someone on the hook and the team all stealth between gens for 50 seconds and go to unhook at the last possible second, you better bet I'll be there to force second state. I'm not giving you all that time on gens for free, and neither should I be expected to - not unhooking in a timely manner is your problem, not mine.

How bad can you be to die so many time againts the bugy mess Wesker is right now? I can't count with my fingers all the times i have been robbed while using the bound.. that and the awful collisions make him barely playable.
Simple: Most matches are on RPD, on which any 4.6 killer can easily 4k without using their power a single time. This made me create a thread saying how OP Wesker was too, until I realised the real cause by playing killer myself.

Have you tried playing as him? If you're getting consistently wrecked by Wesker in his current state chances are you wouldn't stand a chance against most of the killer roster.
I was red 1 before the mmr system came into play thanks buddy, I'm perfectly good against most of the roster (huntress can ######### off though I'll admit).
After another day of playing it seems like my ire was misplaced though - the problem isn't Wesker, the problem is new RPD. I actually miss old RPD so badly already but it'll never get reverted lol.
-
At this point I just want him to get a normal terror radius and a sound queue when he uses power, like every other killer with similar mechanics.
-
@TheWheelOfCheese said:
Weird, I've played maybe a dozen matches since 6.2 and I haven't been on RPD once yet.

Have you even tried to play against him?
His hitbox is very slim now. Like you are a cannonball. You either hit perfectly or don't. You can't decide when your dash hits the survivor, you can't lunge, you can't correct mit dash. It's hard countered by DH on long distances. If he misses, he goes the full distance.
If he vaults in the wrong moment, you can chain loop him because of his cooldown. He can't M1 during that time.
The "buff" was intended from the beginning. Blight is also 4.6m/s and has broken addons on top of that (*cough* ring *cough*). His 40m TR exists because of his slowdown. Which you never really have to deal with anyway. There are enough crates.
Then I see you in a week. Probably still complaining because you won't have used that time to actually learn to vs him.
You'd do a lot better if you read the post literally above yours lol.
-
Finally managed to get a few Wesker games not on RPD - was getting it straight every game for 6 hours yesterday. Also got a couple of RPD games with other killers.
I still don't like Wesker but goddam, RPD is the problem. How is it so much worse than old RPD.
-
it's a new day. I stand by yesterday's games being the most awful ones I've experienced on DBD, but sleep has reminded me that every single freaking game was on RPD and maybe I should blame the map instead. Guess it's time to confirm my feelings on him today.

Why do you guys do that? You’re screwing 3 other players over. They don’t want to face certain killers either, trust me. They cringe just as y’all when they go against the killer(s) they hate the most, but they try. Maybe someone or two will actually make it out. Maybe it’ll be you. I mean the list of killers are growing, so before you know it- you’ll end up giving up to a third of the killer cast. Why even play at that point.
If for nothing, have consideration for others. That’s why I stay in trials that seem hopeless or not fun. It’s just better to “take my medicine” and play something else after I tried my best. I don’t want to screw my team over, because only having 3 players to vs. a killer you hate with an annoying build is ten times worse.
I haven't, yet. But playing against Wesker is so incredibly unfun that I'm losing my ability to care. As I said, for now I'll just not play the game and hope he becomes obscure enough not to ruin DBD for me, but since he's tying nurse for strongest killer I sadly doubt it.
