Playing 3-4 games for survivors you give 6-8 people who want to play for killers, to find a game faster, then everything changes, for your efforts you are given priority for 1 game for killers

They can't make the waiting time shorter for killers, because Mandy herself recently said that the problem of the mode is the lack of survivors, and the new function partially solves this problem

If you only want to play for the killers, without touching the survivors, then your waiting time is completely justified, you do not help the que time, because you do not play for the survivors, and other people who are also standing in lobby for the killers

I don't agree with Mandy's statement and view of how the feature "PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT" partially resolve the problem for Killer queue time and Survivor players are low. There are more Survivor mains, than there are Killer mains and that is a proven fact.

Besides, the community itself made that clear of how this is a "Survivor sided game" Matthew made that reason clear to Otdzarva's response as well.

Additionally, lack of players does not really cut it because why not have Killers do a custom match while waiting for a queue? So, much thought could have been put into this for Killers to freshen up.

  • There is nothing wrong with the Prestige system and I have been playing for 8 years? I do not have a Prestige 100 Character, hence I do not play this game religiously nor breath my life away every second to play none stop for Dead by Daylight.

So, my highest Prestige is "16" on Killer side & i am not trying to be little your discussion of your view point, therefore I think & believe this game should not be taken so serious because a lot add-ons in both Killer & Survivor are absurdly strong to an extent.

Over all, it is very rewarding to have a p100 character because that is the "main" pick you always go for, hence why would anyone want that nerfed or done something "less" about it if it takes a lot of sweat & time for that to be done? You may not had experience SWF bullies much, but I have and they always are there to this date. 👍👋

  • Hmmm, I'll try again with that method and see if this major fix patch will work, since I only tried many times before around Februray? April? Somewhere there . . . . ..

    Gotcha.

As far as I know, there's no way to delete requests individually, but if you go to the options menu and turn on "auto-decline", it should eliminate them all at once.

I tried that and nope :/

A friend request on the console itself, or a DBD friend request? Also, Xbox or Playstation?

Ahh, I should have specified and I mean to say is in-game's friend request.

It seems like YOU are the one who doesn't understand what it's like to go up against a good plague since you have yet to give me reason that I haven't already countered.

So what if a survivor has 8 add ons, 4 items and 4 offering? Does that mean it's impossible for killers to win? At this point you are sounding like one of those crybaby killer mains. You said Nurse and spirit are weak, so that just says alot to me.

I never said the killer is op, how many times do I need to say it to you? I even made it clear on my post that i'm not speaking of the killer without add ons or anything.

You already pointed out that the killer is unfair against low rank survivors judging from your only counter being high rank survivors. So you proved my point more than you try to debunk it.

Me a crybaby? you obviously do not know me well to even assume that, therefore I find it ironic that you're being touchy about this subject and you trying to turn the tables with your point and making me look "stupid" sure says a lot to me. Over all, do not throw me your pitiful reasons to complain if you have not played as her and YES, I have come across her as a Survivor and am I complaining? no.

Obviously you are the one who doesn't play against her because things such as comeback exist. Everyone being in broken allows the killer to knock them down instantly with her perk which is why I also follow up with killers using perk which tells the killer where nearby survivors are. This is why I said red rank killers because they understand how to use a killer.

So what if it alert every survivor in the game? They can't just suddenly disappear off the map. Also, how can a survivor hide when perks such as BBQ exist? Hide in a locker you will probably respond to. However, what if the killer has iron maiden? There is also other perks such as whisper and basic tracking devices such as blood, scratch marks, sound and e.t.c

You said hide as if there aren't perks that killers can use to locate survivors. If it was that easy as you said to just hide then how exactly will killers win games when they can't find survivors? It's obvious, it's because the game allows the killer to track survivors.

I didn't say Nerf in my statement, but rework. Also you can't decide rather the case is close or when it isn't because I asked for the member of the public, not just you.

Killer has 4 Perks and can use 2-addons with 1 offering . . . . . . .Survivor are 4 Players(unless someone disconnects or ragequit) 8 add-ones with 4 items, 4 offerings, 16 perks in total, therefore if the Survivors are SWF and they are all coordinated, then the Killer is bound to be at an disadvantage and either be trolled or struggle keeping up. Over all, its a game and complaining about a Killer being OP does not guarantee a need to be "fixed" if you have no idea what it is like to play as the "The Plague", therefore your complaint does not exceed as a valid point if YOU are the one struggling to understand the Killer.

Oh here we go again. Moris are a thing. They're allowed. Get over it. Using a Mori doesn't make it toxic, running a key doesn't make it toxic. How you PLAY makes it toxic. And before you quote me saying "Mori-ing me because I have a key is toxic" it aint. Let's move on from that lame discussion.

YES! that is the point that I was trying to state in my comment and this AliXnm does not see that :/

  • I knew this exist and I was not dumb to feel like this actually happens! I normally play Killer and when I would play as a Survivor, there are times that I would encounter this odd ping issue. So, the way I notice this being odd is how every time I would be near the Killer, the "lag" would start to effect while being chase by causing me or my Friend to run up to a wall or teleport to the side near the Killer (somehow . . . . .).

  • @AliXnm said:

I apologize for your toxic survivors but jeez. We don’t do anything and we’re not given a change game after game

I did not mean to make a big deal, I am just sharing that I too encounter trolls/toxic players as I play to relief my stress by hunting down Survivors by virtually slashing/blunting them down and hook their bodies to scream in agony. Over all, this discussion goes to show that there is a community that wants a game with no ######### experience xD

  • As a Killer, I encounter a lot of toxicity with Survivors and so many disconnected as I catch them or the match starts with all using high tier toolbox. So, to answer this properly, many Killer and Survivors encounter toxicity and it all starts from someone ######### move and others feel the need to return that experience.

Complaining about survivor items in 2019, lmao.

    And Survivors complaining about Franklin's Demise before? . . . . . right~

  • @Yucchi said:

That's not gonna happen. People may fastswitch to another survivor with multiple items and that would cause the game to either proceed as normal or cancel.

And items are meant to be used. I hate seeing all those medkits and toolboxes, but you'll have to give up one perk slot for Franklin's or play Plague if they have only medkits

AHH! I never thought of that! good point and yes, you are right. thank you for replying!👍️

why do u camp and then laugh at ppl when they get toxic towards you. That in itself is being more toxic than the ones messaging you because u instigated all of it. Something needs to be done about camping it’s a no skill cheap tactic for killers who don’t know how to actually win chases or kill anyone

How can you say that if Survivors enjoy abusing the game mechanics as well? I mean, I dislike camping and as a former Killer, I rather hunt the other Survivors

    Couple points to make here:

    • Everyone already runs Self-Care. Most just run off to heal themselves after taking a hit. This is mostly a Survivor buff to the most used perk in the game
    • It makes no logical sense to nerf healing speed for other Survivors when you're smart enough to bind your own wounds. Like, you're well studied enough to figure out how to bandage your own injuries, but that knowledge somehow makes you worse at healing others? Let's just completely throw realism out the window
    • Nobody is going to want to get healed by other Survivors. It will become more time efficient to let one guy heal himself and the other work on a generator

    Here's an idea:

    • Give all Survivors the current -50% Self Care without requiring a perk
    • While injured, Survivor repair, heal, cleanse, and sabotage speeds are reduced by 10%
    • So it's -60% healing speed for Survivors to heal themselves with no perks
    • The perk Self-Care now increases self-healing speed by 100% and item efficiency by 30%
    • So it's -30% healing speed for yourself if you run Self Care

    Benefits of these changes:

    • Preserves the realism of the game
    • Gives Survivors an extra perk slot because probably 90% of players use Self Care anyways, so more build options for Survivors at the price of a longer heal time
    • Everyone can heal themselves yes, but it's slower than the live version unless they take Self Care
    • Staying injured now makes Survivors slower at completing objectives, so Killers get a nice buff

    TESTING

    ATTENTION
These changes are meant to be tested by the Community on the PTB.
They might not be included in the final release.

Self-Care: All healing action speeds are reduced by 45%/35%/25%. This action speed penalty replaces the previous Self-care penalty (-50% speed) and applies a flat penalty to ALL healing actions.
The Deep Wound timer now starts at 20 seconds (instead of 30 seconds) when an injured survivor is hit by Feral Frenzy. The timer for Feral Frenzy hits on healthy survivors remains at 30 seconds.

Did you not read this part?

  • @se05239 said:

    @No_Mither_No_Problem said:
It two Survivors running the new Self Care run into one another, one injured and one healthy, then it will take the exact same amount of time for the healthy one to heal the injured one as for the injured one to heal themselves.

In what goddamn netherrealm does that make any sense?

And people that's not using Self-Care will be punished by getting slowly healed by fellow survivors..

Ok? how does that make it any different from people that has started the game?

  • @CashelP14 said:
He is the single worst killer in this whole game. He encourages camping and tunnelling.

I looped him for 5 full generators and he tunnelled me the whole time yet once I'm hooked I may as well kill myself. He just stands with his chainsaw and you can't be saved. Insidious makes him even stronger and don't even talk about the basement.

Either fix camping in this game or remove him because that combo is broken and isn't fun to play against

I do not camp with Leatherface and in fact, I am not really into camping with a Killer much. Also, in order for a Killer to be very effective is by Hooking one Survivor and going after the others. Moreover, the only times I would with a Killer is if the Survivor is being a massive troll.

  • I too dislike the totem placement and every time that I start as a Survivor or a Killer with the Hex perk, with Survivor, someone spawn either near the Hex totem or someone see the Hex being visible wide in the open, with a Killer . . . . as soon as your match starts and half a minute, someone already destroyed the Hex totem.

You should never have a perk that specifically boosts a particular killer power

    Well, that is your opinion and I respect, although there are a number of perks for Survivors that are pretty over power as well. Moreover, I am not done implementing my ideas on this thread and besides, this is fan-creation >_>;

  • Here it is everyone and right now, I am looking for my sketch book, so I can sum up the idea of the Killer's appearance. So, please enjoy the idea that I made and what kind of a Killer I thought of his mechanics and power. Moreover, the backstory goes to my boyfriend for helping me with the background, therefore I was not alone on making up this Killer. Above all, I hope everyone likes the idea that I am sharing and I am taking a small break while summing up ideas for the Survivor, since "this" took a whole month for me and my boyfriend . . . . ANYWAYS, I'll update the Killer's design soon(probably around January 16). [Credit goes to Guillermo & Christopher]

    -Personal info-
    Name: Victor Illistes
    Ethnicity: White
    Gender: Male
Occupation: Priest(Formerly), Practitioner of Hoodoo Magic, Killer.
    Age: 47
    Height: 6'2
    Weight: 164 pounds

    -Background -
Centuries ago, in 1548 of England, a 9 year old boy named Victor Illistes's life would change forever.
He was recovered by a Priest and a few Nuns to be brought home to the Church and to be taken care of in his young life.
Although it took some time to get used to their customs, as the boy slowly discovered that the entire Church was very strict and harsh by seeing how they judge and point at the people for contradicting the word of the Lord.
If it didn't get any worse, as soon as Victor turned 14 years of age, he was put under the care of a twisted pedophile of a man while forced to attend the same Church, acting as his "Father".
The Priest would often capture and punish Children by dragging them down to his basement, and as Victor watched his Father punishing the Children through the keyhole of the door, he turned cold and would hear them crying while being stripped as they were being touched, leading Victor to question in his mind if following in his Father's footsteps to become a Priest...could lead to this.
Victor was traumatized, but whenever he tried to speak out against him, the Nuns would bash and beat him with rusted chains and a hard wooden paddle to keep him silent from speaking ill of his Father.
It was impossible for Victor to rebel against his Father, the Nuns, and even the whole Church itself, because Victor knows that whatever he thinks wrong, he knows that he will be punished badly for speaking against it.
As many years went on, nothing more or less than a tormenting lifestyle, it began to crack down on Victor, making him lose his sanity.
In his early 30's While wondering through the church, he stumbled upon a large, hidden door in one of the corridors.
As he opened the door, a sudden whiff of a foul stench shot through Victor's nostrils, causing him to gag.
It took a long moment for Victor to muster up the courage to explore the deep dark pathway, but soon enough he did.
The farther down he walked, the warmer the air got, and the nasty odor began to thicken by the time he made it to the bottom of the stairway.
He arrived upon a gruesome, unexpected sight...a large underground room with dim lighting, torches on the wall and Victor's face turned pale and froze with his eyes wide open, seeing bodies that were strung and tied up, mutilated, impaled, shriveled up, and even in pieces...nearly hundreds of corpses lying everywhere.
Two things then ran through Victor's mind; one, his Father once told him that people who can to him for help were never seen again. Two, his Father wanted him to be like him, for all of this...and at that moment, Victor was about to break down into tears and agonize in his own screams of distress.
As he was just about to let out a scream of terror, his foot bumped into a dusty, old book.
He halted himself and picked it up, discovering it was some sort of a Spell Book, probably dropped by one of the now dead people.
Opening it, and reading one of the enchantments, led him to find out a chance of escape, a chance of finally breaking free from the corrupt and cruel grip of that Church he lived most of his life in. The enchantments he uttered spawned three dark shadowy figures, all for him to command and order, so that they may help Victor in his vengeance against those that tormented him, but at a price...his own eyes. His eyes then splattered out of existence, leaving his sockets exposed, so he may never see the evil of his surroundings again.
And thus began his own reign of terror, bestowing Hoodoo magic and his three Shadows, Victor went off to live a life of his own vengeance, killing anyone he believe tormented him.
He started off by killing the staff of the Church, and last but not least, his father.
Victor's revenge didn't stop there however, he began to lose himself in his quest for vengeance, killing innocent people he also thought were responsible for his suffering.
At the same time, he coaxed quite a number of people to become his followers, wanting to have some aid, so he and his brethren would "cleanse" the world of evil even further.
Anyone who dared confront him, or question his motives, were slaughtered without hesitation.
This would last for nearly nine years, mastering the art of Hoodoo magic in the process, until one day, as Victor was dragging one of his victims down to his basement, ironically the same place his father would ######### children in, the person somehow managed to beak free of his bonds and run off.
It would take a week or two to convince the Kingdom's law enforcement that a cult leader and murderer was on the rise.
Knowing what has happened, Victor locked himself in the basement along with his three Shadows as a last resort, figuring out a way to escape. As his thoughts spiraled around in his distorted mind, he heard whispers, coming from the dark patches of the basement.
At first he thought it was his Shadows, or one of the bodies that lay dead was somehow still alive. But then, one of his Shadows spoke of the whispers, saying that it was called "The Entity."
While hundreds of Knights rallied right near the Household, searching for Victor, he was in the basement, seated silently, communicating with "The Entity." It told Victor how his killings and motives attracted attention to it, and as a reward, it offers him to become a servant, and to be welcomed in a realm where he may slay and slaughter to his heart's content, satiating his thirst for revenge. It would take a dozen minutes before the Knights came across the basement door, so they bashed and battered and banged the door. Finally, as the Knights destroyed the door, enabling them to pour down into the basement, there was silence...all of the Knights have discovered there was no sign of Victor, not even in the basement. Not a trace to be found, even among st the corpses that lay decaying on the filthy floor. And from that day forward, his cult vanished, and Victor has yet to be seen until this day...

With three blinks, there is simply no game. There is no way to make generators and this is frustrating too. There is no counter of it. Pallets, jukes are simply impossible with add-ons.

In rank 1 there is practically only Nurse and Hillbilly in the game, my biggest regret was to have picked up that rank.

I am not good at using The Nurse and it takes a lot of patience to learn the curve around The Nurse. So, when I face up against The Nurse user and they're pretty good, I enjoy the challenge and if I lose, I do not complain about it and in fact, it is rare for me to match up against a really good The Nurse killer user. Above all, to get those perks and add-ons take time to attain ,since not everyone uses The Nurse at her greatest.

I've watched a couple streamers playing killer, and noticed the same in my games of late - killers average enough points to go through a full blood web each round - nearly every killer today has run pinks and purples and no wonder, if they can go through a full blood web each round they just get more - their cost needs to be higher, or their game BP lowered. Really tired of all the pink mori's during a BP event - brings out the worst in the trolls that play killer. You nerf BNP but keep it at 7000 BP, ridiculous - and the wrench has no impact on the skill checks.

Dude, I see many pink and purples from Survivors. So, 4-Survivors vs 1-Killer and how can I troll against Survivors if they troll me? anyways, I enjoy being killed by the Killer, than being Sacrifice ,since I do not see it quite often. Moreover, I see a lot more rage quitters and that annoys me a lot more for both sides.

Some killer addons + ebony mori are broken as well, but i just deal with it instead of crying.

It is easy to say that as a Survivor player, although you can get the perks that you want easily or even the add ons. Moreover, the only Killer players have fancy add-ons and offerings are Rank 1 Killers or Re-born the character and raised all Killers to level 40 to share their unique perks to each other.

  • Killer's having aura reading is a high tier add-on or ability being raised to tier 3. So, your argument here is understandable if you main as a Survivor more often, although as I main as a Killer, I do not have those "Aura reading" quite often and when I do, it is a granted choice and to be honest, I do not use my high tier abilities ,since they get wasted and I want to save them with 100% blood offerings AND tier 3 perks. Above all, happy holidays and please remember that not EVERY Killer user have these aura ability granted to them easily.

Just because they don't respond to each and every single thread and comment doesn't mean they're not responding and given the aotch was coming out they were busy.

  • If a Killer camps, that is because Survivors enjoy abusing the mechanics that the game offers and yes, a Killer should not camp the hooked Survivor, although Survivors have a lot of options to make the Killer be stun. Moreover, I mainly use a Killer and I naturally do not camp ,since I want to go find other Survivors and stop them, therefore the only time I would camp a Survivor is when all Generators are done and I make sure to Sacrifice that Survivor. Above all, the key to resolve this solution is for Survivor players to stop abusing the mechanics that are offered and if that is done, the Killer players can stop too.

  • I use The Clown and he is the only Killer that can cover an area with his Tonic. Also, he lunges pretty fast with his Madame Butterfly, therefore I use "Sloppy Butcher" with him, to be effective both up close and far with his tonics. Above all, he is one of my top picks for living Killers and the other two that I use is "The Wraith", and "The Spirit".

On occasion you run into situations where survivors have completed all the generators and have both exit gates open, but prefer to waste the killers time by not leaving. I think I've come up with a solution that is fair for everyone. When the following two conditions are met, a 90 second countdown timer begins that is visible to all players.
    1. All generators are done.
    2. No survivors are hooked.

At the end of the 90 second countdown timer, the killer can see the aura of all survivors. If the killer puts a survivor on a hook then the effect ends and the countdown timer is reset. 90 seconds is more than enough time to leave after the generators are completed. But if a survivor is hooked, the other survivors can attempt a rescue as normal. Thoughts?

Wow, this is nice! I like! :chuffed:

This was an idea I suggested a while ago for this very problem:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/23578/endgame-solution

In the meantime, just hit them until they leave.

Understood, I am glad that I am not the only one that has encountered this issue (I promise, I am not bringing you down with me) and I appreciate your link! I'll read it! :)

  • When I play as a Survivor, I focus on Escaping and if someone gets caught, I'll try to save that person and Escape, therefore I'll hope helping the Survivor escape does not go to waste as I end the session for myself. Also, I do not play with the Killer ,since they're the "Killer" and it is just plain foolish to joke around with the Player. Above all, I appreciate everyone here reading my aggravated problem that I encounter as a Killer.

Please no. He could use buffs but please not Shock Therapy or anything to do with Madness.

Doctor is annoying enough as is if he had his Shock Therapy's base range increased I would rage every time I faced him.

The Doctor is really rewarding at a higher level, although early level is freaking difficult and takes a lot of patience and timing to perform his Shock Therapy. Also, I do not want madness to be nerfed ,since it is not easy to play as "The Doctor" at a early start.

  • I see, thank you all for your response and I do not mean to complain or make a big deal. So, I'll try to play this game with a person/friend as the same rank as me.

What? Doctor is at D? Really? I dominate games with the doctor. He is my main.

He isn't the best for sure but in terms of easiest to use and still getting the job done. He is definitely in the middle.

Wraith in C is just stupid...even with his buff....he is just slightly better than freddy.....

Trapper and cannibal in B? Really? They belong in D or C at best. Cannibal power is a one shot sure...but the slowness of it and the super long animation if you bump into something. His main power play is camping the basement. How is he a B tier?

Trapper....super add on reliant. WIthout it...there goes his traps. Even with the respawn buff....isn't that hard to disable his trap.

Clown belongs in A tier. The 15% slow...that's mad help in ending loops. How many times have I managed to catch up with survivors that were looping by throwing a vial in front of them or forcing them to break a loop because of the gas. He has no speed reduction when using his ability like all other killers.

    Tier list should be,

    S : Nurse
    A : Billy, Spirit, Clown
    B: Hag, Shape, huntress
    C: Pig, Doctor, trapper, cannibal
    D: Wraith
    F: Freddy

This is just his opinion and you should chill~

Reducing the Player's rank may be exactly what they want. Giving them a time ban would decrease the available players actually playing by quite a lot, and a 24h time ban could potentially punish people who genuinely disconnected and therein lies the problem. Any punishment you create will affect both the Rage Quitters and the people who are genuinely disconnecting due to internet or host issues.

I'd say a 10 minute cooldown on joining/creating a lobby as well as a 50% BP gain reduction on your next game would suffice, it isn't so severe as to cause a massive decline in players nor is it too harsh on those who accidentally d/c'd

That is true, my suggestion has a lot of disappointment with RQ and trust me, it does get tiring when you see it three or four times between 6-10 or at the most in game sessions. Over all, I really like this game, since it does take my stress out and it feels good to kill someone virtually as a creepy murderer :chuffed:

  • @Aerys said:
Okay, but how do you propose we balance this issue? It ain't the complaint section of the forums, it's the balance section, so how would you remedy this situation. I fully agree for the record, it's super lame when someone RQ's and I feel bad for the Survivors stuck in the game and often let them escape (after hooking them once each of course, gotta get them BP's).

Well, I thought of 24-hour ban penalty and of course, there has to be an exchange to the equivalent of time and in-game quantity for that cause. So, along with that, reduce the players rank and add a blood point reduction system for RQ in the middle of a in-game session.

Sometimes the survivors and killers that DC do it because of lag or a urgent matter. I once had a killer DC to go to the restroom. What happens if you DC for a good reason or lag out? Youd be punished too. Why does it jump from 30 minutes for 5 games to a whole week? I dont support dc-ing but it would be very hard to punish that in a way they wont lose players.
You cant dc from a game with trolls or lag.
    No personal reason without punishment.

I say an easy fix to a lot of DCs is you make no rank change at all. A lot of players purposely disconnect to derank. Get rid of that for dcs and a lot more players will stop.

You can not go easy on people that behave like children with tantrum syndrome due to not having their way in the game. Moreover, if you have to leave for a good reason, do not drop the in-game session and ruin the mood to play a game. Above all, I know a lot of our people are not very calculative with their objectives ,although time is very valuable and wasting it for others is quite selfish.

  • It took me a while to think a suggestion and the best that I can think of is "Result of rage quitting will lose a rank, player level, character level, 150,000 blood points, and a suspension to play again for 24-hours." that way, people can learn their lesson about rage quitting is just plain childish and not needed for team play, hence it is a Asymmetrical horror game. Over all, I appreciate everyone viewing and replying to my response on this! Thank you! :)
