I don't take any claim serious that says "every single game" in regards to perks.
Yeah I wasn’t trying to use a hyperbole though, I’ve noted my last 20 matches and it really has been 18/19 of them with these two perks. Granted I play at night so maybe that’s when it’s sweatier, but it has been that reoccurring. It’s like a few months ago if you said in every game you saw dead hard no one would really bat an eye bc it was true

They should've expanded the arsenal of BBQ/WGLF mini-missions for extra BP. Those things were great for general gameplay.
Yeah! Exactly. If they added like mini objectives for both sides I think it would help relieve some pressure off the killers so they could have more variety and survivors wouldn’t be so bored doing gens and in turn regression perks wouldn’t seem as annoying to go against 24/7, or be as needed.

Well for one most killer perks are just bad, this right here limits the variety you see. Secondly killer meta perks are seen so much because it’s required against good survivors with how fast gens go. Ie it’s fixing bad design. There’s more variety with survivors perks because their load out isn’t required, they have the flexibility to run “fun” perks that killers don’t.
Yeah :( I wish killers had stronger perks that were still fun and more flexible that sitll helped out the game. Maybe if they implemented more to do they could expertement with more perks :).

I rarely use Eruption- it's pretty weak against SWF groups, which is where I need an optimal setup most, because they can just say "I'm about to go down, get off the gens" on comms. For that reason, I prefer Pain Res (Possibly with DMS on certain Killers), combined with info and anti-chase perks.
And it's really not hard to see why Eruption is an unfun perk to play against. 25 seconds of stopping the survivors from doing anything. So yeah, have your Eruption nerf/rework, Survivors. This is not what a well-designed slowdown perk looks like; BHVR can do better.
I think you guys deserve a hard slow down that’s more fun than just kicking gens and hoping the team isn’t on call out comms :< I think it would be better if it was something else you did that was like an unavoidable build up similar to devour. Like after three hooks every gen goes down 20 percent or soemthing, that way you could hard aggro in chase and have the reward of regression. Then survivors who are upset have to realize that if they lasted longer than that’s the counter.

Its really weird right now. As a killer, I'm starting to see some fairly old school stuff from survivors. Heck, the old DS,UB,DH, Adrenaline builds seem to be making a comeback. Killer also feels relatively stable, which is odd since killer meta traditionally gets shaken up way more often by patches. COB and Eruption is starting to grate nowadays, but I'm sure a nerf is coming the way of eruption in the near future. Hopefully it is accompanied by gameplay changes that make sure neither side feels obligated to bring hard meta.
Yeah I wish they would add more to do like extra escape activities, that way killers wouldn’t have to focus gens too much and survivors wouldn’t be stuck holding m1. Hope those perks see some changes and other ones get buffed or added so you guys can have more fun too <3.

I took all the gen regression perks out and replaced them with some random aura things+ scourge hook pain resonance across all the killers I play, and now run just these sets for 3 or so hours at a time.
I have more fun, because camping a 3 gen is not fun.
I don't break off chase, I don't switch targets, I just chase until they are down. This is actually fun.
Since I'm not breaking chase and just hitting, it has happened that all four wind up slugged. I get one up and restart the chases.
I don't kick gens because it was never fun.
If I'm facing a SWF of 3 or more, I just lose, and that'd be fine, except they act like ******** most of the time, if they win(some SWF do stupid things like mob starstruck)
If I want to win, I change the perks back.
I'm not implying that anyone should do this, just stating that it is it's own type of fun, and for me at least it beats what the gen perks have to offer from the killer side, fun wise.
On survivor solo I started running all gen rush perks. This is actually fun.
Happy you found a way to have more fun in matches! I love running aura perks too :> hat tip to you friend

I see a lot of the same perks from survivors too. DH, PT, Windows, Adrenaline, Resilience, OTR, Unbreakable seem to be the most common ones. I think you’re being a little biased here.
I see those in my games too but I also see plenty of variety though, it’s not every single one of my matches that I see them on all of my teammates. It’s true that there’s four so there’s a smaller chance of everyone running the same thing, but I mean I’ve been playing almost every day the past month and every killer save for maybe 1/20ish is running those two perks. I see maybe 2/4 survivors running full meta and a lot more random perks in play mixed in.
Not trying to be bias, saying one side is using meta more often simply because they got a meta boost and the other didn’t doesn’t seem to be something to have a bias over anyway. It doesn’t mean one side is holier than thou or survivors are better sports or something, I just noticed surv meta has changed bc of nerfs so second chance isn’t the only thing we see anymore, while killers in my games are not cycling out those two perks as much.
I also barely see otr or unbreakable in my games now, perhaps bc of the otr nerf and upcoming endgame slug changes. I only see resilience and windows really often, with adrenaline in the middle somewhere. I do still see dead hard on at least 1-2 people, but lithe and balanced are way more common now! Which is a nice change. I still think the changes overall just forced survs to alter builds a bit more.

Heh, I'm out here trying to get my 8 hooks, then let everyone out of the gate if they are good sports...but good lord some of these people are infuriating. I've literally had to drag someone off of a gen, wiggle them off in front of the hooked survivor they let go to struggle while they sat on a gen 15 feet away...I mean if the killer is trying harder than you are to save your teammate, you got issues.
Clicky bois absolutely get my attention over freshly unhooked survivors. I don't mind not getting kills, but don't mess with my hooks.
You’re a real one sport 🤣👍🏽

does it suck? Hell yeah. But what can u do? SoloQ is mostly a circus with all kinds of clowns running amok.
instead of relying so much on randoms, try and make a more independent build. Ayron on youtube has a ton of videos using them. Its better than taking chances on the hands of others
It’s a team game tho. To some extent you literally have to rely on teammates or you can’t complete objective and get things done to earn points and escape. Yeah relying on them to completely go out of their way to save you isn’t right, but survivor is a team sided role. If someone dies early game it is almost impossible to win. You can learn to get saves without following someone on death hook around all match instead of doing gens or actually trying to keep them alive.

@Sluzzy said:
Three times out of the few matches played today I have actually lost due to one perk.
A reminder that NOED is a perk that rewards failure. The survivors did well completing the objective against impossible and unbearable odds only for someone to lose because the game gives the killer a petty kill.
I wouldn't mind this perk if two conditions were true;
1) The survivor objective was much easier to complete.
2) Survivor had a similar perk.
It's not a good feeling to lose when the opponent played poorly but got rewarded for it. When the state of the game incredibly favors the killer, NOED needs a change now.
It’s not so much the whole perk idea that bothers me it’s that in non swfs it’s super annoying in terms of pressure. You waste time hunting for totems and cleansing them, not knowing if you’re looking for already broken ones or not, and not knowing if it is even worth it. If the killer is decent there should be a good bit of map pressure and the secondary objective becomes almost pointless to get done. I only totem hunt if the killer is clearly bad because one I’m sure there is noed and two I have the time. If the killer isn’t, then it’s a gamble. I’ve had games thrown bc I spent 20-40 seconds looking and cleansing totems when the last gen could have been poped, only to find out there wasn’t even noed.
Devour hope is very strong, and because of this it can be found anytime. Super big risk reward. Why reward killers with noed, an almost equally strong perk, with less risk by lighting up after all gens have done?
if it was lit already I wouldn’t care at all, it’s just annoying losing time to a MAYBE.
I also will say to all the DeAD hArD comments, yeah it is mad annoying and unfair, but I’ve seen great killers constantly destroy great survs with dead hard, but I don’t see, nearly as much, trash survivors using dead hard destroy good killers. Dead hard doesn’t grant bad survivors nearly as much reward as noed grants bad killers. It becomes more viable in more balanced matches and that’s where I’ll say it becomes more and more unfair, but at least when I lose to a good survivor who brings dead hard I don’t feel like I’ve been cheated. I’ve played long enough to compare dh to sprint burst, and in my experience I tend to get equal if not more value off sb anyway. So when I do play a few killer games and get bested, it’s like eh, even if they didn’t have dh they probably would have beat me bc they’re just good. Now if they were god awful and managed to get a four man out JUST because of dead hard, then it’s like yeah that’s mad bull. That’s what noed is like.
I’ve seen absolute garbage killers get 3ks against good survivors just because they get a speed boost and instadown. Yeah I’ve seen killers with it get ######### on, but that’s after it’s cleansed. If it’s still up they are almost guaranteed value despite playing horribly all game. Dead hard doesn’t grant that. You can’t play surv horribly then make a big come back and have everyone escape soley because of dead hard.
It’s really annoying when you lose a game to someone with way lower skill because of a surprise perk or one you don’t have the time to cleanse.
In short, I rather die to a great killer who also ran noed and and used it efficiently, than to a noob who went from zero hooks to four slugs just because of it. Same for dh. I rather die to a bunch of cracked survivors who also had dead hard than baby players who only got out bc of it, though again I don’t see that happening nearly as much. But yeah it feels very cheap when that happens.
-
Update! Thanks guys, I ended up taking a clip and reporting it. It sucked bc I would have made so many bp that game and upgraded a tier but big sad ig:’). I wish bhvr would maybe automatically start the collapse after like 10 minutes or so. I feel like that’s enough time to either find hatch or try to open a gate. Then holding the game hostage wouldn’t be possible. Maybe that would cause more problems tho idk. But thanks homies 🫡

It's just ONE hatchet, just dodge it.
And if you can't dodge it, you are dead anyway with or without iri head.
This addon is fine, maybe too weak.
if survivors allow her to get close, it's on survivors as she is literally M1 4.4 killer without hatchets.
I’m saying they throw it when there is no way to dodge it. It requires no risk to one shot someone you’re behind on is in animation lock. It’s basically used as an insta M1. Normally m1s are easier to get so it takes two to down you. I don’t think the devs intented iri head to be used as basically M1s shots close to people. “You’re dead any way with it without” isn’t true, because in normal situations you get distance and get two hits instead of one. This wasn’t meant to be rude or condescending or anything, im just saying I think the perk was meant to reward huntresses who played more risky and used it at distances to benefit as opposed to huntresses who just use it super close up on people.

It’s way easier to dodge one ######### killers though, and loop them at curves and stuff like Billy. And other killers who have add ons it’s a lot harder for them to use. Aiming on clown is hard, and rushing with blight is too. But having basically an insta M1 is what I meant is unfair. If that makes sense?

So this is a venting channel? I like that.
I had a game with a mate of mime where it was already the endgame against a huntress. He looped her, but he eventually went down. During his looping i get a random off of a hook and 99 the exit gate. I run over to save my mate with bt but the huntress got in the middle and started chasing me. I looped here for maybe one minute two minutes? During which the random simply opens the gate and teabags at it, leaving my mate to just die.
This happens so much in solo-duo que. It is always the teammates who maybe did a gen or two and hid the whole match who tea bag like they one uped the killer 😭. Like you escaped bc of MY and my FRIENDS work, give the killer some peace and leave.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
Against my better judgement, I went into a match with two Megs. They were both healthy, I was injured, and they just ran out the exit gate without trying to body block whatsoever (we knew the killer didn't have NOED). I went down an inch from escape because my teammates couldn't bother to take an ounce of aggro.
I wish I weren't on console so I could run DS. It's aggravating that the perk to save me from bad teammates requires hitting a nearly impossible skill check.
I only played a few survivor games today before I quit. The teammates I was getting, I was not having any fun whatsoever.
Yeah I play on console too (if you ever wanna play I’ll drop my gamer tag homie ;) ) and it is mad annoying. Everyone says ds is easy and for me hitting it is usually not hard, but I get games where killers are lagging and have bad ping and it makes me miss. Like why is it a skill check at this point?,, Meta killer perks don’t require some tiny ass skill check 😭 make them hit one to activate a noed totem, if they miss it no noed. See how fast the killer community complains.
But nah I just had a game where me and my friend where running the killer and were on death hook bc one teammate died early game and the other one refused to take chase or go for any saves despite not being hooked. (he also had a syringe, boil over, and happened to get the best boil over nap?? Crotus???) and still refused to even take a hit. He farmed the first teammate and ran away when she was on death hook.
He ended up escaping too, after doing nothing, and I died bc of noed (I knew the killer would have it too and did three totems, but I was getting chased so I could not finish the last two.) My friend broke noed and unhooked me (he was gonna die for me) but we forgot the killer also had a Mori so he got two free kills and by passed by ds :/. I feel like ds should counter moris. Like lemme get a survivor stab animation. I saved it the whole game for when I needed it most but bc the killer has an OFFERING I can’t use my perk???? ofc they don’t even have to hit a skill check for the mori EITHER 🤡 .

I never once mentioned that the OP wasn’t entitled to vent. I really don’t understand your point. Are you suggesting people should only reply to posts if they agree? BTW my posts was mostly tongue in cheek.
My point is your “I’d like something original” read as kind of rude and wasn’t relevant. “How about” seemed to be an attempt to correct and make my post seem unimportant. If you’d like something original, instead of commenting on how unoriginal something is, you could just go make your own original post?
My post wasn’t even looking for agreement, it was to let people vent about dumb games they had below it while sharing my own experience bc it helps some people get out frustration.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
You know, for once I’d like something original. Everyone and their dog loves to makes these posts about how they ran the killer for 5 gens and completed all 5 gens while their teammates did nothing.
How about, we can all suck at times. I’ll start off. The other day, someone was on hook. I hesitated because they were on the other side of the map. No one else was going so I thought I’d better go. I stopped along the way for some reason (I think it was to do bones). Wasn’t paying attention to how much time they had left went for the unhook just as they died.
Yes, SoloQ can be a challenge at times but I still enjoy it for the most part.
I mean if you don’t want to read it don’t read it? People are allowed to vent about the same thing. It doesn’t do anything to you to just ignore a post lol. Yeah we all suck sometimes but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck when others are sucky to you.

And that’s why noed is dumb and “do bones to counter noed” is a bad argument when it involves actively preventing your teammates from using their perks and involves cleansing 5 totems to prevent a perk that in most matches won’t even be there.

To answer your question, had he not snuffed the boon, then no, noed can’t replace it and it wouldn’t have activated, even if he snuffed the totem later; there has to be a dull available at the moment the exits are powered. But since he did snuff it beforehand, it goes back to a dull totem which can be cursed by noed later.
Oh cool thanks pal! Now I know <3
-
@WesCravenFan said:
How did the boon screw you again? NOED can't over-write a boon.
If the killer kicks the boon they can still get their hex. Before I could break the bones it got booned, then I got chased away and the killer snuffed it. It was the only time window I had to break the totem and I lost it, so he was able to keep the totem intact.
Hope this helps for future games whether you’re killer or survivor!! I thought noed automatically erased a boon totem so I assumed killers didn’t have them if a boon was the last totem and stayed up. All they have to do is snuff it, at least before all the gens pop. I don’t know if they get it if they don’t snuff it until after but they definitely can before :).

One time I patrolled a 3 Gen; the 3 remaining Survivors DC'd, yet still ended up in end-game chat (How do they DO THAT!?).
They said the 3-Gen was my fault & I should have given up a generator. When I said 'How do I give you ONE gen? You could have split up and done all 3!' the reply was 'That's your problem.' 🙃
So, from what I got from that was:
- It's the Killer's duty to give up a 3-Gen.
- If Survivors abuse this to do more than 1 gen; that's the Killer's problem to fix. Without chasing them off gens, of course.
This is one of many reasons I stopped being a polite Killer. 😄
Nah it’s def survivors fault, my point is that because of it killers will capitalise on camping them which will cause survivors to not do gens since it’s an open risk. I’ve had so many games where the last gens were in dead zones by hills or weak walls, and the killer won’t chase anyone away from the gens. At that point it’s either throw yourself at the killer or just wait it out. I’ve gotten out of the situations against good killers only in a team where we slowly did the gens bit by bit. It took a really long time but we escaped. Against a great killer, and in solo que it’s just really boring and takes forever, if you can even get it done. This wasn’t a whining post about how survivors mess up but shouldn’t be punished, more so that once the mistake happens it’s hard to fix and leaves a stalemate. But yeah it definitely wasnt your fault homie and you shouldn’t have given them a free gen.
-
@lagosta said:
Why shouldn't the killer capitalize on survivor's mistakes? Also, that's not holding the game hostage.
It's easy to break a 3 gen nowadays, it just requires the minimum amount of coordination and at least 2 survivors:
- set circle of healing in a very inconvenient place far from the gens.
- each survivor work on different gens, preferably the 2 farther apart.
- start running way early. Pallets close to the gen are more valuable and you want to preserve them, use others farther away even if you need to take a hit as you can heal easily.
Those 3 steps put the killer in a lose-lose situation. They need to down someone, but they can't afford to leave.
I say hostage because the killer will refuse to chase and just stay by the gens, and survs won’t go and do said gens. I’m not saying killers shouldn’t do that, it makes sense, but as a response survivors won’t just walk up to the gens if they’re being camped. I posted bc today I was in solo and had a huntress stand near of all three gens with a hatchet out, and there were only three people left. We couldn’t communicate well to split up efficiently and it was difficult to get the gens passed a third. Two gens were behind her and one was right in front. We couldn’t flank because they were in open dead zones and it was easy for her to see everyone. No pallets on windows were near by.
Your points require both a specific perk, and the others require the killer leaving the area for a chase, even for just a few moments. My post is about when they literally do not leave. Yes survivors should split up and go on different gens but if you can’t heal very fast (no boon no medlar) you have to keep letting go to leave or you get downed by the gens. It’s not impossible, I’m not saying it is, it just takes a very long time and is a lot faster in a swf. No one wants to be in a dbd match tapping gens or camping them for an extra 15+ minutes.

Especially if they are only rescued right in front of me after a long chase cos some troll wants me to go for the easy kill. Nope, i wait then continue the original chase 😆 nice try sandbagger.

The same applies to exponential.
Basically I'm about 90% sure UB is only ever used up if it's the only way for you to pick yourself up
Oh alright :) thanks a lot <3!!!

So DBD has been crashing a lot for me since yesterday. It crashed 2 times mid game yesterday. When i tried playing today it crashed 2 times at the loading screen and 1 time in game. After that i just called it quits for a day. Has this been happening to anyone else recently?
OMG I HAVE HAD SIX HOUR PENALTIES EVERY DAY THIS WEEK BECAUSE MY GAME KEEPS CRASHING. IT IS SO ANNOYING. I never had any issues with crashes until the past week or so. I think the update ######### up something. I don’t even have it. I play on Xbox, but ever since I have had the worst gaming experience ever.

I agree that this person is just being petty but I think we all can agree that these playstyles aren't fun to use or to play against and I really wish that playing in a more friendly way was rewarded heavier than just sitting there camping or slugging someone for 2 minutes.
That’s why I’m trying to say! Everyone is saying that not liking those strats is not being considerate of killer fun, but standing still on someone for two minutes doing nothing isn’t fun? It’s just rewarded by the game. I think if the game encouraged and rewarded game play that was fun for everyone it wouldn’t happen so much. Like if killers got blood points for leaving hooks and didn’t get any for standing near one for a prolonged about of time. But the game can’t tell the difference between being an ######### and a camping with a purpose so I doubt it will happen. I wish killers would get rewarded more for trying and putting in effort. Then losing a kill but going after everyone would be better than getting one but only camping/tunneling the entire time.
-
I’m not not considering a killers fun guys, if anything I’m questioning that too. If it wasn’t out of spite and because they just wanted to have fun, why sit still in front of one person doing nothing for 2 minutes straight while gens pop around you instead of trying to get someone else? Or if they’re altruistic, how much more fun is it sitting there, hitting someone off hook, hooking them again, then sitting there some more? Repeat maybe one or 2 more times.
It may very well be survivor bias, I’ll openly admit my view might be skewed, but that seems boring to me? The only way I can see that being fun is if my purpose of doing so if being spiteful. I rather play the game and try to kill someone after a chase and potentially lose, than secure a win sitting in front of a hook. I’ve played killer a good bit of times for challenges and I don’t find it very fun, but I have way more fun trying to go after different people than I do sitting on a hook to secure a win. I’m not a killer main, and I’m not trying to speak for anyone other than myself, it just seems like if they face camp and tunnel that hard early on, it’s most likely spiteful.

fast gens fast kills
He already had 2 hooks and was about to get a third when one gen popped. I found his devour and he left the chase to go cross map and find me. It’s not like this every game, and on games where I see a gen rush I definitely understand tunneling and camping better. I’m not mad about those strats on there own, it’s just when it’s at a high gen number, having a good start on hooks, and completely ignoring every other person except the one who did the totem where it gets really annoying.

When I lose ruin and undying in the first 30 seconds yes, I tunnel. Wierd of you to assume my mood though, losing my totems does not mean I'm just going to give up and let you meat-sacs walk out the front foor.
Ruin and undying are different than devour hope though. Dh doesn’t activate super early, and is placed in the game as a hex because by the time you get stacks survivors have had time to look. That perk is meant to be risky. I’m only assuming mood because killers who tunnel out of spite do things like slap you over and over on the hook, shake their head, etc. And if they ignore easy targets just to go for the totem cleanser, I think it’s kind of clear.

Almost every time I get a killer (usually wraith?) who has devour hope, and sometimes ruin, the second it gets cleansed they get salty and start hard tunnelling and facecamping.
This is called trying to win.
But it’s obvious when it’s out of petty spite.
Obvious to whom? Seems like they lost their totems and is now trying to win using the best strategy the can.
but I hate the lack of punishment and power they have to just do that with little repercussion.
There's the issue. You want people to be punished for trying to win in a way you don't like. You go on and on about fun and how unenjoyable it is to be camped or tunneled, yet you absolutely fail to consider the fun of the Killer as their perks (and chances of winning) are removed from the match.
If you can’t win without instadowns (which aren’t even given until you get three hooks) then you need to pick better perks? It’s obvious when you’re hit on the hook over and over and danced on that it’s out of spite. And even if they don’t do that, which happens a lot, only going for the person who cleansed the totem and refusing to hit an easy target in front of them and body blocking for them, shows that. I’m not mad at them for trying to win, I’m mad at them for doing it when they’re trying to be petty. I think it’s pretty obvious when that’s the case. I’ve played long enough to be able to tell. I left out the obvious tells in my post, I didn’t think I’d have to point it out.

Show us the data proving Dead Hard is overperforming other exhaustion perks by extending chases longer than other exhaustion perks do.
Otherwise you don't have proof.
That’s what I’m saying. I think it’s used more because it can be easier, but If I sprint burst to a new loop, or 99 it on the same loop, that’s going to buy me way more time or at least the same amount of time as dead harding for distance.
Dh doesn’t give much distance at all and might help you get to a window or pallet but sprint burst does the exact same thing. It might be at the start of the chase if it isn’t 99ed DURING chase, but it still buys time, just at a different point. People just don’t run it as much anymore because dead hard is easier to keep since you can run without having to watch your meter, but if they nerf it they’ll just see a bunch of sprint bursting to better pallets and then get mad about that too.

"Pretty easy to bait out" I sense you're new. So let me put it this way. When you mind game with blight at something like the shack and call it correctly. Only to be "outplayed" There's no baiting it out. Because I can't wait an extra second to swing if you dead hard towards me. When they dead hard for distance to a window or pallet they didnt deserve. There's no baiting it out. Dead hard is problematic in any way you can think of.
Sprint burst gets you to a tile. But it doesn't help you extend the chase in the tile. If you ######### up. You get hit
I’m not, I have 2k hours in the game. I’ve just seen plenty of matches where good killers have baited a dh and forced survs to use it early, dh into a corner, etc. Especially on killers like demo, huntress, or death slinger. I take back saying it’s pretty easy, I guess it isn’t, but it’s possible and decent killers have done it fairly well in my time playing. Plenty of times dead hards don’t even help and you get downed two seconds later. It’s happened to the best dbd players. Even after it’s been fixed it doesn’t work all the time. But even if we say it’s impossible to bat it out and you can’t counter it no matter what, sb can still extend a chase in the same tile and do the same thing when timed right. It takes more skill, but it’s still possible and thats ACTUALLY easier when you get the hang of it. If you’ve ran from the beginning and have it 99ed either from touching a gen at half way, running, and then finishing it before you have it, or walking to get it back before constantly running, etc, you basically have a dead hard at that point. If you have just a moment of distance you can easily use it to get an extra loop. Just keep running and spinning around so you keep it active until the killer is close enough to want to swing. I’ve done it before when prestiging and not having dh available. I’m not saying dead hard is completely fair and not broken at all, I’m just saying I think it gets a worse rep than sprint burst just because of the limit of when it can be used. It’s only used when you’re vulnerable so killers feel more entitled to the hit. Not in a bad way, I can understand it being a well deserved down and I’d feel entitled to it too if I played killer more. But a sprint burst play can do the exact same thing. Especially if the loop you’re at is better than one you could run to. It might be a wait of distance from sb, but it’s def possible to use it to extend chase in tile.
I think if dead hard got nerfed, we would just see the same similar plays with sb. No negativity or bitterness was in my response, I’ve just played long enough to know that even if dh is broken and gets nerfed survivors would just adapt to the same plays with sb. You said if you ######### up you get hit, but if you’re already injured and have sprint burst ready, you’re probably fine if you’ve got good timing on it.

This perk is at 99,99% in my killer matches. It's extremely frustrating to be absolutely sure you were going to land the hit on the survivor and finally hook him up but suddenly the survivor dodged your hit and managed to get into another safe loop.
Dead Hard is a perk that you only need to be injured to activate. Oh really? Just that? This is considered the strongest Survivors perk and since it was released there has never been a significant change to it. It's ridiculous that the survivor can use this perk, get a considerable distance to a pallet and on top of that be IMMUNE to any hit. If Behavior makes a point of nerfing killers and perks that are being used a lot, why has this perk never been changed?
I can understand this but at the same time dh is pretty easy to bait out, though to be fair it’s easier on some killers than most because of animations or perks. But even when you can’t, you can still force them to use it to avoid a hit, then for the rest of the chase they’re exhausted. Push them into unsafe zones and it doesn’t give much distance like sb, so even with dead hard they’re doomed. I don’t think it should work over traps and stuff because that’s definitely isn’t fair though.
But I don’t see how it is much different than 99ing sprint burst. Sb is a little harder to use because it’s not just an activate when needed button, but when you get used to it you can pull off some basically dead hard plays. You can even be healthy with sprint burst and bait the killer into swinging and then get way more distance. When used by good survivors, sb is arguably equal or sometimes better. The big difference is when.
If you only could use dead hard when healthy, or could use it while healthy or injured, I don’t think killers would care that much. At that point it’s basically 99 sb. The fact that you’re injuried and then get a free dodge just seems way more second chancey even though if you were healthy and had dh, you still buy the same amount of time. If sb only worked when you were injuried, I think it would get the same treatment as dh now because it would seem way more second chancey too. If that makes sense? Sorry if how I worded it was weird, my point is that dead hard also seems broken bc when it can be activated is at a vulnerable time. Sb is usually wasted early in chase while you’re still healthy and then when you’re hurt you don’t have it, but if a good player keeps running when injured and sprints away last second when they need the distance then at that point they’re kind of equal. I think if dh was nerfed that would happen anyway.

It's meant to allow you to get extra value out of 'Injured' perks without needing to get found and then evade the Killer.
Removing that starting injury basically misses the entire point of the perk.
Like I said to the other person who said the same, if that was the entire purpose it wouldn’t give you such a strong use like unbreakable over and over too. What’s the point of having that aspect and giving a bonus recovery speed if that’s not meant to be used. They could just remove it at that point.

I have never had an issue such as that.
I haven’t either until the ptb was introduced to others and for some reason since then my game has crashed constantly. I don’t know if it’s related but I have never had this issue until this/late last week.
