There is a difference. Looping isnt toxic because survivors have to keep the killer busy in order to win. But tunneling IS toxic because killers dont have to tunnel necessarily to win. They can still win by playing fair.

This is the comment I was looking for. OP and this dude seem to get upset at anything killers have.
I just complain about the unfair things killers have.
-
Im not. Because she will probably be another anti loop killer with good gen regression perks that are too hard to counter in SoloQ.
-
They already nerfed that perk into the ground.. Honestly they shouldnt have nerfed it in the first place.. because that perk can be countered easily with Agitaiton and/or Iron Grasp. But people refused to try different perks and wanted to stick to their classic meta builds.. therefore it got nerfed.
Its weak at its current state and if anything, it needs a buff. I understand the frustration this may have caused for console players.. but this doesnt change the fact that Boil Over is weak
-
I dont understand why you are complaining about SWF. Its the only advantage survivors have and they are just trying to have fun with friends. U said that you played against a SWF in Coldwind as Nemesis. But winning in Coldwind as Nemesis isnt even hard because Nemesis is an anti-loop killer.. so you can easily get hits or downs at most of the loops.
As for the clicking, tbagging issue... I think they are just trying to celebrate their victory by doing it and i dont see anything wrong with it. Also, tbagging clicking doesnt affect the gameplay so i dont think its a problem.
Just because you had bad matches for 1 day doesnt mean killers are weak and survivors are strong.
-
Yeah. I mean it was already killer sided.. finding gens is impossible.. and they have made it even more killer sided with the new hook placement in the library.

Because there are two VERY different games in this game
If you are low level/low MMR, survivors almost always have the short end of the stick. New survivors who don't know the tricks that experienced survivors know are usually getting absolutely curb stomped because they don't know how to optimize what they're doing all game. They don't know how to deal with killer powers. They don't know how to hide effectively. They don't know how to loop effectively. They don't know how to maximize their perks effectively (go into any Dead Hard thread and you can see the noob survivors versus the experienced ones as the noob survivors are the ones who will complain that DH isn't that good because they dodge one killer swing and then go down two seconds later because they have no idea how to actually use DH).
If you are high level MMR, it flips around. The survivors all know the little tricks and strategies to run the killer around like a Scooby Doo villain. When they're not in a chase, they know what generators to do and the best way to get them done as fast as possible with minimal risk to themselves. Anecdotal of course but higher MMR is also where most Bully SWF Squads are going to be so not only will games at high MMR be a curb stomping, the Bully Squad makes sure that curb stomping is as MISERABLE as humanly possible for the killer.
That's why you get such extremely different opinions on which side is stupidly overpowered
I think this game is killer sided at High MMR as well. If you think survivors are good at looping at High MMR, get better atchasing survivors. If you think survivors finish gens too quickly, learn how to pressure gens. Everything has a counter. I think killers already have enough resources to counter everything survivors have.

@N8dog said:
Dead hard, decisive strike, borrowed time, iron will I bet you can't go 3 straight games without seeing these perks ever. Going ONE game without them would be impressive.
But that doesnt mean they are strong. Survivors use them because they are necessary against camper & tunneler killers.
-
I wont vote because i think all three are overpowered.
Pyramid Head can get free hits at almost every loop once you get used to him and he can counter DS
Cenobite has the most oppressive, unfair 1v1 in the entire game.
Artist can just spam her crows to get downs and she can pressure gens easily thanks to her unlimited-ranged shots.
All of them deserve nerfs.

Because some of their influencers (aka killer main streamers) think that killer is "not the power role" for some reason and complain until the stream is over.
Whatever the streamer says guys.
That's why we see everyday threads like:
This streamer said that.
This streamer discovered the best build.
This streamer says swf is busted.
Yeah good point, streamers really effect what people think. Many people think DbD is survivors sided because of killer main streamers. I think they should play survivor instead of relying on streamers' opinions.

If as a survivor can see the killer grab another one but it't denied, that is not fair, and the game is not killer sided. idc what otz said with his experiements
Idc about what otz says either. This is my own opinion
-
You act like this game isnt killer sided enough. At least let grab validation be fair.
-
I think it shouldnt show survivors aura and they should reduce the max token number to 3.
-
Oh.. great another bug that benefits killers...

@DangerScouse said:
I don't necessarily think they need to buff killers directly (although the fact that they are supposed to be supernatural killing machine, not fodder for bullying is a joke). One exception.... Bamboozle should be base kit.
However the devs desperately either need to slow down gen speed, or make chases less ridiculous (sheer volume of pallets and windows, alongside dead hard aka free escape).
That being said I'm enjoying Artist atm. Finally a killer I can enjoy (won or lose) without having to camp.
- They already nerfed loops with map reworks
- Gen speed isnt fast, if anything its slow due to gen defence perks killers have.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
Well... The Devs think of Survivor fun first
Forgetting that Killer players are human too
It would be nice to get Killer buffs soon... Cause Perks are doing too much to sway opinion right now
Hmm killers currently have:
- OP Killers like Artist, Blight, Nurse and Huntress.
- Pain Resonance + Dead Man's Switch combo
- Anti-loop perks like Bamboozle, Brutal Strength.
- Killer-Sided maps (they removed many good loops with map reworks) Yet you still think they care about survivor fun? lmao. If anything they only care about killer experience. Quit lying to yourself.
-
@Crowman said:
I feel that. Devs seem to choose to not balance killers around a fun factor so many killers just feel awful to play in many situations.
I guess you meant ''awful to play against''. Because playing as killer is so fun and easy. Killers dont even have to sweat to win.

Just too afraid to buff killers until they all have nice things like alchemist ring, blighted crow, and adrenaline vial
They are not afraid of buffing killers, they just dont buff killers because they know that this game is already killer sided. Buffing killers would result in survivor mains leaving the game.. cant you see that? Besides, killers already have enough good addons like Alchemist Ring, Iridescent Head and Pinky Finger.
-
@Sepex said:
Pinhead is OP if you're new to the game ๐
Nah. Even good teams struggle while playing against him. Because he can distract survivors so effectively and he has good synergy with Dead Man's Switch.
-
I rarely play killer.
As survivor, I dont enjoy using perks because literally all of them are weak except for BT.

He's still a super difficult killer to play.
Anyone who can land the chains correctly and consistently could be just killing you with Nurse and skipping over the rest of the game too, honestly.
"He is a difficult killer to play" is an invalid argument because it doesnt disprove the fact that Pinhead is overpowered.
-
I think both deserve nerfs. Bubba can dash with his chainsaw for way too long and his chainsaw recharge speed is too fast.
Hilbillys overheat mechanic made him a bit more balanced but he is still too strong. He can travel the map too quickly which makes doing gens too hard when playing against him.

All the killers have counterplay, at least since the Spirit was nerfed, just not always the boilerplate counterplay many survs feel entitled to. And the anti-loop killers can actually still be looped, if you're really determined (and good enough).
They don't need to go back to standard killer design, they need to go even more different. I like being kept on my toes. What that looks like, I can't say, I don't get paid to design killers.
All killers have counterplay? LOL. Good joke.
-
@Thusly_Boned said:
I'm hoping it's something really different and unexpected. I figure wells and teleporting is a given, but I'd like to see BHVR get really creative, because the standard mechanics (looping and W holding) are as dull as dishwater. Not optimistic, but this seems like an opportunity to do something unconventional.
Judging by their latest killer designs, She is just going to be another anti loop killer that has no counterplay.
-
Most killers are already OP. BHVR should take a different approach to killer mechanics and design killers that are fair. Some oppressive killer addons like pinky finger and iridescent head must be nerfed. They should stop making killers that can ignore loops and pressure solo survivors easily like Nurse and Blight. They should nerf killers that dont have interactive mind games like Spirit. They should remove the Bloodlust mechanic that rewards killers for holding W. The changes i stated must be done for the health of DbD.
-
@BenihimeWrath said:
No, I want BHVR to give power to other killers and their addons instead of nerfing stuff.
Why? So killers can get ez 4ks every match? Lmao. Do you want survivors to leave the game? Because it looks like you killer mains wont be satisfied until survivors start the trial on hooks.. Just accept that some killers deserve nerfs. Killer role os not as weak as you think.
-
@Carrow said:
Still better than SoloQ. Barely, but better.
Not barely. Playing killer is SO MUCH better than playing soloq. In soloq you get punished for others' mistakes.

No, anti loop killers prevent predrop+teabag, therefore make the game better.
You just proved that you are killer biased with this reply "I dont want survivors to tbag because my ego cant take it. I want to get undeserved downs"
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
You should have seen how despondent my survivors were as they discovered I had Devour Hope as Pinhead. Lulz. They lost the will to keep playing.
Its sad how you think this is funny and say this like you are proud of yourself. Why do people feel proud of running overpowered perks?

What's not being to you then? An easy to dodge m1 killer?
I just want a killer that has a fair power. I think everyone can easily tell that anti loop killers make the game worse.

Play high mmr with blight and get a 4k vs a high tier swf
Sounds easy to me. Even High MMR SWFs might lose against good Blights.
-
I think you should by the Pig because she is a fair killer and playing against her isnt boring for survivors. We should encourage people to play fair killers.
-
He is a strong killer. You can get downs just by spamming your knives non stop. His anti loop is so strong. His main event is strong as well. So you dont need to practice to win as trickster
-
Yeah.. and imagine that unfair hit combined with iri head. Devs should take a look at huntress.. https://youtu.be/E0JCd4T99gU
-
I think she will have some kind of boring overpowered anti-loop power. Like most killers they have recently released.
-
@Nathan13 said:
You obviously have never played Blight.
Probably because he doesnt want to play killers that make the game boring for survivors. You dont even need to play Blight to realize that he is overpowered. Just play against a High MMR Blight who abuses the game mechanics and your opinion will change.

There is actually data to support this though.
No there isnt. Killers are stronger than they have ever been. Kill rate stats are above average.
-
They probably DC because Pinhead is an oppressive killer that has both good 4V1 and good 1V1 + he can teleport to survivors. The Box is a good way to distract survivors and prevent them from doing their objective and honestly he needs to be nerfed. They shouldnt keep making oppressive killers like him that make the game too hard for survivors.

@DyingWish92 said:
Less then 2 minutes.
I feel like you are exxagerating. Yeah sometimes survivors can break them fast but most of the time.. they stay active for so long. The only possible way for hex totems to get destroyed that quickly is SWF. Solo teams cant find and break totems that quickly. This is why hex totems are unfairly strong against solo teams.
-
''Killers are leaving the game because this game is so survivor sided''
-
@WesCravenFan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805925#Comment_2805925
Based on current Survivor queue times, I am not seeing the data to back this up.
Survivor que times are instant for me so i think that ''killers are leaving the game because surv que times are so long'' rumour is a lie.
-
How is playing killer miserable, exactly? Because i get 3-4ks almost every match. Do you know why? Killers have many gen regression perks that they can rely on. Killers can literally win against every solo team.. they just sometimes struggle while playing against SWFs. If killers bring good gen defence perks and addons.. survivors dont stand a chance. If you still keep losing despite all strong killer perks... this is a skill issue.
-
Most of the time they stay active for all match. Because with the new map reworks they arent easy to detect anymore. I think they should put totems to more obvious places. Yeah, survivors may not choose to find hexes because of the hex spots that are hard to find but then.. they suffer from the overpowered effects of some hexes. So i think they shoud just reposition totems.

Basement bubba is one of the many reasons why survivors are leaving the game.

But Survivors can use their brain and realize that the Killer is using Tinkerer. If they manage to do that, which isn't hard btw, they can just split up on gens and counter Tinkerer. Blight is strong when Survivors don't want to adapt to him
Didnt you read what i said? Do you think solo teams are coordinated enough to split up on gens? Most solo teams arent that coordinated imo.
-
MMR is fine for killers. But i honestly dont think its fine for survivors. MMR showed me that this game is killer sided. Killers can consistently get 3-4ks even at High MMR if they play well. And, im tired of playing against the same 3-4 killers that use the same, uncounterable meta builds. Yeah sometimes its bad for killers that situation you mentioned can happen while playing as killer but.. i think MMR mostly benefits killers.
