Blight's J-flick is gone.
At least that's what I'm getting from these patch notes. Also, he should be much nicer to play on console, so thanks to everyone for bringing attention to his serious issues there (particularly @Bloodshade for their really in-depth thread on the matter).

Exactly, I can handle losing to a player who has mastered the mechanics of a killer.
Had a match against a blight and the first hit seemed really suspect but the rest of the game was fair and fun so I asked them in the post game if they used a mouse with really high dpi and their response was "nah, I'm not one of those blights relying on an exploit" so it wasn't all PC blights. But at least now there's no guessing and 50/50 if they're gonna be exploiting or not
Or to someone who's just very, very good at m1 gameplay.

Just a quick update and no more J-Flick... Sounds way too good to be true.
I wish instead of capping the turnrate they capped the angle and let people turn freely like they did with Oni. People who play on lower DPI are still at a disadvantage compared to people with higher DPI.

I feel like the "turn rate per frame" is lost on people. Flicks are still very possible. Still going to have to learn to loop Blights.
Flicks: possible
90°+ flicks: not possible
The 180° flicks are what everyone complained about
Semantics then. 180 was literally demonstrated in the clip above at 800 dpi recorded after the patch. Pre-turn for 90 and flick for 90.

Does everyone remember when I tried posting flick videos, and then got shamed into deleting them? And then when I tried discussing how flicks worked, I got shamed into deleting that discussion as well? Here's the video from last patch, where I showed that 90 degree pre attack flicks are a thing. We can't 180 now, be we can still 90 + 90.

He's completely different from old blight as you now have max sensitivity mid rush until you hit the turn limit.
He's much better now, although I do have to learn him again due to how different he is.
I'm really glad console players can now actually function as him :D

Correct. People were so focused on shutting down any explanations or conversations about how jflicks worked, that they stopped people from explaining what the flicks actually are.
Also, as you pointed out, high DPI was never really required either. I can also easily 90 + 90 on 800 DPI.
And J-flick has been resuscitated
Time of death 5/11/2021 time 11:00 - Successful resuscitation at 11:45, turns out the janky fix has only made it angrier
On top of that bump logics most important tool the 90° flick has become more accessible to everyone
I thought it was gonna be a bad update but now its a win/win/win and even though it can easily become a lose/win/win its at times like these where we remember that the beauty of loving something is the pain you will later have to feel of giving it up
Great news. I have lost count how many times I've been hit by that BS J-flick.
No ######### way dude he's legit so good now on console. I lost my first match cause I didn't play him a whole lot before, but I got some really sexy hits with him I couldn't get before. Definitely learning this killer.
Only Blight mains who abused him. I've never adjusted my DPI so he should play the exact same. I'll play him tonight and see, but I don't think he should be any different for me.
Same with me I'm in the boat of you don't miss what you don't know.
This is how he looks on Ps4 now. Some really sexy hits in here but in the end it was a loss. Like I said never played him a whole lot and also didn't have many perks either but you best believe I'm workin on it.

Even though this was just a small hotfix, this patch has probably been one of my favorites in a long time. I enjoyed playing Blight before, but now that he's been fixed on console I'm probably gonna end up maining him (sorry Legion).

Can you let us know what is the intended maximum turn angle?
It's still possible to flick for a total of 180 degrees.
Maybe it's time to change the thread title to 'jflick isn't gone'.
I played two game of blight. I got more hits and were able to hit survivor in position where I couldn't before this hotfix which is great.
I might play him more often now.
