Discussions about the Entity's realm
  • In Deathslinger's new tome, it jumps around and follows about the same storyline as his regular bio does, just giving us some more info about what he was up to and how some things went down, but there's a small thing at the end that really bothers me, kind of messing up my enjoyment of the story. In Memory 6018, one of Caleb's gang members, Declan, is alive and kicking, helping him to catch the

  • When I say weird, I mean more specifically the version of Chucky that went into the fog combined with his skins plus Tiffany. The Chucky we have in game is intended to be specifically the Chucky from Child's play 2 right after he has a box of good guy's dropped on him. First thing, his weapon. In Child's play 2, I do believe he was weilding his signature voodoo knife and not a kitchen knife.

  • I started playing Dredge again, and normally during Nightfall, you hear the darkness and souls that formed the Dredge screaming out and it rapidly gets more intense as Nightfall starts to end (both as a way to amplify the feeling Nightfall creates but also to act as an indicator for Nightfall ending). But I started to notice that when you swing and hit/down a Survivor, youll hear the souls chant

  • Now that Chucky is in the game, what do y’all think how the other killers would react to meeting Chucky in the fog?

  • The Bloodweb is so creepy. As the player we are some type of guiding force for the Killers and Survivors. We as the players are the ones who feed the Entity while it rewards us with bloodpoints in order to continue the torture. In some ways we ourselves are the Entity. After we earn bloodpoints we perform forbidden geometric blood rituals in the Bloodweb sometimes with real intention on the pat

  • Fun Intro Just like all my posts, this is my opinion. Feel free to have yours in the comments. I always love hearing from everyone else. I have made some of these points in the past, but I wanted to make a nice organized post on it. As terribly as the gameplay was, and I still hate it, I'm gonna try and keep this to the lore. She's Hot The awkward thing about SM being hot is that she's co

  • If they did absolutely nothing, would that starve the Entity? I'm not saying they'd be taken by the void, I'm talking about if everyone just suddenly stopped killing/doing gens/anything. Could that hurt the Entity?

  • Through the Knight's Lore we get to know that he experiended an Extreme amount of Violence with his Village literally being attacked and Massacred, with him surviving the Attack and feeling an un-desribable feeling known as "being in Awe." So was he in Awe with the Violence? Did he like it and wanted more of it? Because later on in his Tome he talks about Violence as a rather bad thing, that in

  • Has anyone else been reading them? I've just recently got the third issue and I think they are an amazing addition to the story of the Legion. Especially this third issue, it gives Joey actual motivations and personality besides just having the coolest (edgiest) cosmetics. The reoccurring "Entity Dreams" and seeing its claws in the background of panels is doing an amazing job of making it feel

  • I really don’t think it was taken directly after Otter Stamper summoned it, it’s in game description isn’t really specific on where it went after it appeared from the ground. Most, if not all, killer bios end with “and then they disappeared into the fog lol,” but Dredge’s bio doesn’t. There’s no mention of any fog, he just says “peace out” and vanishes into darkness. The descriptions for Dredge

  • Question in the title. Of course, the honest awnser to the question would be: "No." To me however, im conflicted. I would like to see what everyone else's spin on the Situation is. I read through her Tome and to me it just seems like even through all the Horrible Things that took Place of the Asylum, she tried to supress it and still be sympathetic towards others. As we saw with the Anxious

  • Benedict was a survivor in DBD that wrote extra little entries on all the survivors and killers up until Clown’s release. BHVR has since scrubbed most, if not all, of his stuff. I’m just not sure if that implies a retcon or if it’s the world’s slowest-burning ARG. Thoughts?

  • In Silent Hill 3 we do learn that Maria was in fact a real person in the town of Silent Hill, a dancer at Haven's Night However, the Maria we see in Silent Hill 2 and the one we play as in the fog is the manifestation created for James. So Maria is just a manifestation of Silent Hill. Like Pyramid Head himself Maria is the first Survivor to be introduced who doesn't actually exist. Is she ther

  • So, I was reading a few discussions here, and started to link as well these short descriptions the skins have. We know so far they have a lore behind related to certain life episodes of each character. Now, my question goes beyond that. Is there a reason why skins exist in the entity real as it is? To put up a theory for example, maybe the entity dragged several versions of oneself to the

  • So I recently learned that pallets are made up of the fog (which is also the entity) so does that mean The Entity is helping them and wants them to escape, if not why pallets, why gens and exit gates, why make it even possible to escape, and also why killers? Once the endgame timer finishes the entity just kills them itself (same with on a hook) so what’s the entire point of having someone do it

  • There's the stampers in doctors and dredges lore and now a different stamper showing up in the lore for nick cage as well. I'd be interested to see if they expand on it, perhaps a family working to feed people to the entity or part of some kind of entity related cult.

  • these fights are based on the killer vs an average human, the Human has very little to zero prep time (adrenaline and fear is gonna start kicking in), guns are not allowed for the human, killers are at their normal strength IRL (not entity strength boosted). Quick context on the tiers: Death: you could not beat this killer at all. MAYBE: if you get very lucky or happen to potentially get the u

  • Entity sought out Pyramid Head after Silent Hill " When his duty was complete and his presence no longer needed, he prepared for the long rest — and yet, his skills were required elsewhere. The Fog that streamed over him was somehow different than that he was accustomed to in Silent Hill, as if each wisp contained the nerves of a creature, writhing, seeking him out. There was an unspoken agr

  • This is a question I asked 2 years ago and ever since I asked that question have we received a lot of new content and stories to explore. now like last time, this is a form of "what-if" because of course we don't know what would happen if everyone just returned to earth. We aren't so sure if they'll return to their respective times or whatever. so Let's narrow the question down and simplify it.

  • Whilst most of our questions about DBD Lore are awnsered, there's still one that bothers me: Are the current Survivors we have in the game really inside of the Entitys realm anymore? What i mean by this is that right now, the Realm is getting a bit too Full. There are many Survivors at the campfire and if more characters keep on getting added, the campfire will be fuller than it should be, un

  • There’s some really interesting things the devs can explore but just haven’t yet. Let’s start with stuff that will most likely happen. Saku, the Redcrane is most likely going to join our survivor roster at some point. Her story has been told in the tomes, just like Haddie so I think it’s possible for her to be joining in maybe next year’s anniversary (and there’s a reason I say that). But like H

  • for me, i hope that this tome puts Gabriel and Hux into one slot so another character could get some more lore because dear lord idk how they can expand their lores without it being useless info like Gabriel’s past life which never even existed. Skull Merchant’s tome story was really good so i’m for something great because the end transmission character backstories were dryer than a desert. Gabr

  • What goal do they achieve by escaping the killer, what's the point of the trials, why not just bleed out and die every single trial, because they'll still be in the realm regardless if they win or lose, is the endless trials a part of the lore, or is that just a game aspect, if its lore, yeah, there's no point to survive at all, you achieve nothing, it's just endless work you'll be put through, i

  • I am no quiet sure, but does singularity is actually an alien robot? It story states that it should be human-like android and also it used some alien skeleton while building itself with genmat, so question is the thing we see in game is not created by humans, right?

  • This is a bit of a serious post but also a joke, so don't take it too seriously. Also if anything in here that I'm saying is negative and you relate to it, this is just a rant about fictional characters and I get along with people who have the same traits just fine, so don't take it personally. That said, enjoy. Jane FREAKING Romero. She is definitely the type to try and cancel you over the wro

  • In some maps, you may find at the edges of the map part of the iron fence broken and lying on the ground Why don't the survivors use those vents to escape instead of repairing the generators?

  • So we know the average killer & survivor can't exactly leave the Entity's Realm at will, and seldom knows how to do so. And we know that it takes a lot for all the emotion, be it hope, fear or anger to be wrung out of someone in the Realm for them to be thrown into the void, so basically, safe to say that this ragtag group of misfits is stuck together long-term. We've all wondered how Survi

  • If you didn't read Skull Merchants lore (i dont blame you) then you might not know that shes actually basing her entire personality and clothing and weapons on a fictional character, also called the Skull Merchant. From what we saw in her original lore, it sounded like her dad just drew Fake Skull Merchant killing people in The Entity, but the Tome actually expands on it a lot more. I'll post it

  • I've heard before that real medieval knights were not nearly as chivalrous or honorable as legend made them out to be, so I'm curious: Just how period-accurate is Tarhos? I'm guessing most knights couldn't survive against a hundred attackers all dogpiling them at once, but were there actual organizations like the Guardia Compagnia, mercenary bands who raided villages, took slaves, and inducted

  • Overview: On the surface, some people may not have much to say about someone in particular. However, if you take a closer look, then the words that someone initially said would have drastically changed. Adam Francis is a very straightforward, yet mysterious individual who many glance over. What many fail to recognize is that Adam Francis may be one of the most important pieces to the overall s

  • I mean I think it would fit her lore really great since she obviously has a connection to the entity. It would make sense if she could influence its world in a way. On the other hand you shouldn't squeeze a boon on her just because it would fit her because I think there should be actual interesting perks and not something that has to fit the character by any means. But her perks are also really b

  • Pixel Bush said, in his video “Why Dead by Daylight’s Lore Matters” that “[Lore is] the skeleton on which Dead by Daylight is built and, like a skeleton, it’ll be all that remains when the game is long gone.” This announcement in the developer update was honestly the most disappointing thing to me in the update. The reason why is because BHVR could go through with all these changes, and everybo

  • Im not sure if this is just me, but this is something Ive been confused about for awhile. Here are somethings that I am aware from various Tome lore and cutscenes we've seen over the years: The Fog itself is a solid object, but not really a solid object, since it is physically able to grab and pull characters and creatures around and move them. The Fog is also able to force people into the Ent
